Idk why but, I really want to talk about Dinotrux Biology and Trying explain that eating mess ;-;

Today I will only explain my crazy theory of the Dinotrux eating mess.

Since the first episode, it's explained the Dinotrux eat ore, but while the show keeps going we see, another eating habits, like rocks, and mostly like Metal.

First, we have to know what is edible and what is not.

In the episode magnet mountain, Garby have a idea how they could leave the magnet wall the trux were stuck, the idea was eat the magnet, but then he says "Magnets aren't edible"(for obvious reasons lol). What means they do not eat everything randomly.

accordingly to that. We can base on what Garby already ate in the show. That was Rock, Ore andddd METAL.

What implies the existence of "Metalvores" and basically means Metal is edible. Basically, Metal is their flesh. We never see any trux talking openly about eat metal, only sneakly beetween their script.

The mama is literally TRAINING her flock for chasing and preying a pterocopter.

And Let's agreed, the "predators" of the show actually collects metal, but for what? if they collect metal but eats ore, it would make like no sense, it would be a waste of energy on some collectionable. and Desert scraptors actually do embushes with volcanic ore only to collect metal? if they have such a big and the "most delicious" ore, why would they search for metal?

the episode where it gets more obvious is the Shredadon. The whole episode is about Shredadon eating metal basically. with obvious lines and especially when Shredadon trys to eat waldo but fail because of Ty.

"his breath smells like rust"-Ace

"that thing is looking at us kind of hungry again."-Ton-Ton

Anyway, now here is more than obvious there are Metalvores in Dinotrux world. what would mean all "carnivores" would should eat metal right? ...yes, but no. I did a list about which dinotruxes are metalvores or not.

Tyrannosaurus Trux (ates ore) Gluphosaurs(never seem eating ore, but clearly mentions to eating it) Sawmetradon(ates ore) Pterocopters(ates ore) Aquadon(ates ore) Shredadon(only eats metal, for what it seems) Dyscrapadon(never seem eating ore) Scrapadactyl(ates ore) Scraptor(never seem eating ore) Scraptool(tools are way more in omnivores cathegory but scraptools seems more focused on looking for scrap than others)

anyway. Here is the list of our supposed "Predators". has we saw, all of them(almost) eats ORE. what make us(or me) even more confuse. Buuuut we are going use Garby again. Our favorite Estegarbasaur eats Rocks, but he already ate ore, and somewhat like it(in this case it were S'mores. a combination of lots different ore togheter), and did like the Metal taste too, on the episode training, were he ate a dozen superchargers and say "these things aren't so bad,actually."

What means they can adaptate their eating habits to any of these, but of course there are consequences, like in the episode Ore run, when Garby system get jammed with the enormous amount of ore he ate.

What makes me get in a conclusion They ALL ates Ore, Rock and Metal. But each especies have their preference supposed with they biology, but it do not prevents they eating other edible stuffs.

And I already though, "why every dinotrux fear T-Truxes?" well it's not for the bad and agressive atitude for sure, or everyone would fear Dozer XD. Well tyrannosaurus rex were somewhat feared for some dinosaurs ( edmontosaurus and maybe feared by some younger Triceratops) cause' it's a predator etc, obvious. Now let's analyze Dinotrux. A similar thing T-Truxes shares with Scraptors are Digging abilitys and a keen sense of smell. has we seem, T-truxes are somewhat sneaky, like real tyrannosaurus, believe me or not, T-rex were actually a sneaky predator. Like we see Ty with his Shadow painting, when he cames to rescue Revvit, his engine is so silent, that even D-structs can't hear. INSIDE HIS OWN LAIR. Ty have a actually great hearing and great eye, being the first one to notice when somethings is wrong. in Desert scraptors Ty can precisely track click-clack UNDERGROUND. without mention the wrecking ball lol. and the "build to last" and "engine build for power", along with the quick thinking about plaining a ambush to catch pounder. ngl that moment I though

"Damn Ty plained a ambush so fast"

"OF COURSE! HE IS AN ADULT TYRANNOSAURUS"

XD anyway.

What would mean, that ore is the only more common edible material that can actually supply all needs. In the episode tortool, Ty said some materials that composes ore,that's Iron and Magnesium, there were more things, but Dozer cut him before he could say it. Anyway:

There are Preys and Predators, Metalvores, Orevores and Rockvores(and the omnivores), every especies have been build for eating a certain stuff of each category, but they can always eat other stuff that is edible. And for Metalvores, to not waist energy, gettin' dents etc, they tend to look out for ore, cause it's easier and it can provides all nutrients they need. It may cause some problems to addaptate, but it can works perfectly, so they would not need search for other Dinotrux around like hungry beasts. But ofc, some predators may not want to adaptate this ore diet and keeps looking for metal like dyscrapadons, shredadon and scraptors.

and btw goldtrux just said "fuck it, I Want gold". anyway, it fits into a rock/ore category tho. anyway, I actually need explain this mess for myself. I know it got confuse but it helps me organizate better my thinkings about it

Shockarachnids are never shown collecting scrap like other animals so why do they attack trucks? I think they eat their electrical energy or something

The only (and I mean only) reason everyone seems to become best friends like 5 minutes after meeting is because Ty has never had friends before. He doesn't know the qualifications. These people were nice to me? Friends :)

And after that, they kinda had to stick together because they stood up to D-structs. Who does that?? No one, unless you have a death wish

Remember Ty's "That's gonna hurt tomorrow.... but that's tomorrow" ? shortly before being yeeted off the bridge? I think he was in pain the whole Aquadons episode but didn't wanna say anything.

I think lightning bit bugs are migratory. Either that or they sort of "hibernate" during... whatever qualifies as winter where they live

Reptools raise their young in a communal way. Everyone chips in, especially if something has happened to the parent(s)

The one time Skya and Ace saved the others with the battering ram? Ace would lord that over Waldo (or at least, until they learned it was Ace's fault D-structs knew where to find them in the first place)

The Dumps actually learned from their encounter with the Trux. I mean, we actually kind of see it happen because later on, they're not so rude and self-centered

Tortools are actually quite smart. When freshly hatched, sure, they lack self-preservation instincts, but after we see them assessing complex situations, fighting Scraptools, and even saving Dozer's life. And they're not even close to adulthood yet

There's definitely an argument to be made that the herds the 3 other trux were with in the beginning weren't good herds? They ditched 'em and were never seen or heard from again. But that could also feed into Skya's fierce independence and inability to accept help from others (Drillasaurs)

Honestly I have so much to say about the Volcano episode I don't know where to start...

Something to be said for trauma for sure. So much trauma. And maybe some closure in said trauma, in being able to save this home compared to last time.

Other trux (and tools) definitely gossip about the Trux. Why do you think the Ottos and the woodland Reptools heard of them? Garby too. Heck, even in Bridge! By that point, it's less weird rumors/gossip and more "...can you believe these weirdos? Love 'em though."

Dozer is canonically an only-child but I think Blayde is too. And that's why they were so close as kids. I know I talked more about this with someone but can't quite recall...

It actually makes sense that Revvit has never met Slamtools before. If he had, he probably wouldn't have been around to tell the story later.

Pounder was perhaps the most psychotic of the villain gang. Convincing arguments could be made for them all but Pounder didn't actually have a reason to join them? Other than wanting to beat up trux.

The D-bros flashback story definitely seems to paint D-stroy as the victim but I think that's only because he was the one telling it. D-structs didn't want to talk about it but Skrap-it asked and D-stroy used that as an excuse to belittle his brother and bend the truth

Drago and Scoot missed Wrecka when she was helping Garby. Sure they didn't want to help in the beginning, but I bet they missed her after like 2 days or so without her. I think that's how long it was

When Ton-Ton finally got his super fun ball and was making a mess again, by the time they caught it, the ball was kinda far away from the Garage, hence why we never see it again

The different types of tools are likely related. One of the Ottos said the tool who found and hid the diamond bit (of antiquity) was another Otto. But all the designs and the statue were of Rotilian Reptools. So maybe once upon a time, not all Ottos were Hex Wrenchtools?

Installing a supercharger properly (as opposed to just eating it like the scraptors or Garby) gives more efficient supercharger energy and makes it more stable. Improperly installed ones blow out easier and can be unstable

The reason Xee acts... like such a blank slate/know-it-all is because she's socially awkward too. She quite literally admitted to living alone for quite some time.

Not a headcanon but how funny is it that racing is not an uncommon sport? Considering that's their only mode of transportation. The race against the Dumps is kinda just a relay race. Idk, maybe that's just me lol

Also, can we talk about the fact that there are MULTIPLE Dreadtrux??? There's another Dreadtrux mother out there that gave birth to Lil Dread, and there's the egg of the main Dreadtrux. Plus whoever is the father to one or both (assuming they can't reproduce asexually, which is scary too)

In the Ankylodumo Games, when Drago says the "attendance is a little weak this year cuz of the D-bros", he's in part referring to Ton-Ton. Because as far as the others know, Ton-Ton didn't come that year. Not-Not did :)

Five and Reader come home and see Mr. Pennycrumb holding the beanut butter jar they threw out literally that morning. The obvious conclusion is that he must have gotten it from the trash cuz he missed them so they give him a lot of cuddles (and also a bath and wash the jar too because it's unsanitary to keep a trashed jar around the house xD)

Also I love that Señor Muerto loves rooting around the trash and thinks there's good stuff there as much as Garby. I like to think that every day is a new challenge for Viktoria and Kenny to go through their pets' garbage collection and wash them or ensure it's kept out of the house and in the courtyard. Eventually they just set up a washing machine sort of system and Señor Muerto and Garby just know that everything must first go through the water tub before being allowed inside their house. And sometimes the family don't even throw stuff in the trash if they know one of the animals are gonna root it out anyway.

Each garbage item usually has a rotation of a month before it gets thrown out for real with a few exceptions like Mr Pennycrumb's beanut butter jar and Garby's assorted collection of shiny things that Klaus or Allison toss out.

Imagine if Garby goes from taking shiny things that Klaus and Allison throw out to just straight up stealing their stuff. Like Garby just goes into their rooms and take a belt from Allison. They don’t find out he is doing this until Kenny starts wearing some of the stuff just assuming it was thrown out.

Also, Mr. Pennycrumb always stays by the clean when both Five and the reader go out and can’t bring him because he loves it so much. It’s kind of like that dog who is best friends with a brick but instead, it’s a jar.

The Metropolitan label was, like Nick Doneff’s Kaliphon label, an offshoot of Adjin Asllan’s Balkan label. It released some of the most niche releases of the Near Eastern immigrant community in the 1940s-50s, including the five discs made by Victoria Hazan in Ladino, nine discs in Armenian by Edward Bogosian (see the Canary album Everything is Fake), and about 26 discs in Turkish. Of the Turkish-language releases, the first eight were by Greek-speaking Balkan-roster mainstays Marko Melkon (including two sides sung by Victoria Hazan; see the Canary releases I Go Around Drinking Raki, No News From Tomorrow, and Don’t Let Me Be Lost To You B-Sides) and Virginia Magidou (see the Canary release I Was Born a Badass Chick) plus one additional disc - her only release - by one Sarah Behar (see the Canary album No News From Tomorrow).

The remaining 17 known Metropolitan discs in Turkish were credited to five performers who appear not to have recorded either before or after, all of whom have Turkish names - not Armenian, Greek, Jewish, or Albanian as all of the other artists on Balkan, Metropolitan, and Kaliphon were. Turks represented a small minority of those who emigrated from Ottoman territories in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Frank Ahmed's Turks in America: The Ottoman Turk's Immigrant Experience (Columbia International, 1993) and subsequent research by his student Işil Acehan indicate that Turks tended not to immigrate through New York due to discrimination against Muslims. They generally opted instead to enter the U.S. through Providence, Rhode Island. Only single men were admitted, the vast majority of whom were rural villagers who settled in the Massachusetts towns of Peabody, Salem, and Lynn where they worked primarily in the leatherworks, the population peaking shortly before WWI at just over 2,000 individuals. Nearly all of them returned to Turkey by 1930.

We have no immigration details or press references for any of the individuals on the Metropolitan label recordings, and there is no ore from within the community of those who remember stories of the music of that time and place. With once exception, the violinist Yekta Akinci (b. 1905; d. 1980) who was the son of the musician Ahmet Mükerrem Akinci, we have not been able to trace biographical data for them. They were certainly not part of the immigrant population.

Accompanied by the core Balkan-label accompanists Marko Melkon, Nick Doneff, and Garbis Bakirgian, they recorded a total of 34 sides. My first guess was that they were immigrant musicians performing, for reasons I could not begin to explain, under Turkish pseudonyms. It was the researcher Harry Kezelian who proposed that that they were touring musicians.

Near Eastern musicians (Greek, Armenian, Lebanese, etc.) who toured the U.S. during the 1940s-50s were generally “name” players who had records out, not only in the homeland but also issued in the U.S. - Rosa Eskenazi, Sami el Chawwa, Giannis Papaiouannou, Udi Hrant, etc. The mystery of how and why these Turkish performers could have shown up without some extant biographical data might be explained by an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum in November, 1951 titled “Turkey Today,” presented in cooperation by Turkey's Ministry of Information. The exhibition included Turkish handicrafts and photos as well as watercolor painting by Turkish children. A press release for the show’s opening states:

On Saturday November 17th at 3:00 PM, the Brooklyn Museum will present a program of Turkish Folk Music and Songs in connection with the exhibition. Admission to the public is free.

It is our speculation at present that these five Turkish musicians (or some of them) may have been sent by the Turkish Ministry of Information to play at this Brooklyn Museum exhibition opening. (Kezelian has pointed out that Turkey was admitted to NATO only three months later; the exhibit was likely part of a goodwill campaign to strengthen ties with the West under the third president Celâl Bayar’s administration.) Whether Melkon or Doneff attended the event and met the performers there or whether Adjin Asllan’s brother Selim knew them from Istanbul, where he had lived and made recordings for the Balkan label a couple years earlier, enters into the realm of fantasy. We don’t know.

The performances themselves are stylistically typical both of Turkey's urban nightclubs of the late 40s and early 50s as well as the "oriental" nightclubs around New York's 8th Avenue, Port Said and the Brittania in particular where Doneff and Melkon worked regularly. It is easy to imagine that Melkon and Doneff relished the opportunity to exchange tunes and jam with players from the current scene of Turkey’s metropolis and took advantage of the opportunity to play with musicians who had their fingers close to the pulse of modern Turkey. The only other two immigrant players on the session were Garbis Bakirgian (b. 1884; d. 1969), a classically trained native of Istanbul, and the pianist and bandleader T. Agabey who was himself a mysterious figure on the New York scene. Agabey’s discs for Doneff’s Kaliphon label sold well enough to indicate that he was a New Yorker with a following, and his style was a unique synthesis of Turkish popular melodies with the kind of small-group pop-jazz combo format that was ubiquitous around New York bars before the advent of commonplace jukeboxes sent low-paid, union-card-holding musicians searching for work as studio sidemen or with wedding bands.

We can say with certainty that the 17 discs made by this circle of Turks did not sell well. The Turkish-speaking immigrant population of the U.S., although accustomed to buying discs on the Balkan-Kaliphon-Metropolitan circle of labels through the 1940s, being largely Armenian and Greek, did not respond enthusiastically to buying discs by these unknown Turkish performers recorded in New York even with familiar names listed on the labels as their accompanists. It seems reasonable to suppose that each of the discs was given only a single pressing of 500 copies. Surviving copies turn up infrequently, and there is marginal interest in them when they do. In the history of Near Eastern music in the U.S., they are marginalia to a footnote.

The twelve sides presented here include all four by Caylani Instanbuli Anemde, one of two unaccompanied improvisations by violinist Yekta Akinci, three of the ten sides by Ali Fasih Tekin, four of fourteen by Zeki Arikan, and, unfortunately, none of the four by Vahit Artan. The remaining sides represent not only gaps for the discographies of the obscure primary performers but also missing pieces of the work of their accompanists who are among the most significant immigrant musicians of the middle of the 20th century in New York. We hope to add to the the collection over time.

ES GARBI is a beach house project designed by Nook Architects in 2017, covers an area of 202 m2 + 41 m2 terraces and is located in Costa Brava (Girona), Spain.

Bordering the Mediterranean Sea, the Camí de Ronda is a historical coast path that connects the villages and beaches of the Costa Brava. Along the way, we find this house, part of a protected complex, in an unbeatable location. The house spreads out over four floors. It sits upon a rock and descends, in steps, until it meets the sea, to which it is connected with a private jetty.

The family had been looking for a property that was both simple and comfortable, one which would allow for the independent usage of secondary rooms, as well as the collective usage of a communal area connected to the main terrace.

It was necessary to make some adjustments to the functional plan of the house, converting a once shady terrace on the second floor into a new bedroom and adding bathrooms to the second and third floors. Restoration work was performed throughout the building to repair the façades, roofs and terraces. The overall volume of the house was maintained, as was its characteristic mediterranean colour, composition and aesthetic. The interior layout of the house was modified, by opening up holes in the walls and installing skylights to maximise the views and flood the entire building with natural light. The staircase acts as a thread that connects all four floors. The attic, the communal areas and the bedrooms are all linked with direct access to the beach. The windows of the seaside façade offer complete exposure, minimizing the division between indoors and outdoors. This connection ensures that the main communal spaces remain complete; that is, the terrace becomes an outward extension of the living room. As well as heating, only a simple ventilation system consisting of ceiling fans has been installed. to complement the natural ventilation provided by the windows and skylights. At the exterior of the house, the blinds and the pergola limit the sun’s rays, ensuring comfortable temperatures with the house even in summer.

Many of the house’s original elements, such as the tiled flooring and wooden beams, were recovered to preserve the traditional character of the building. These original features interact with the more modern wooden, cement, steel and ceramic components. The result is an undoubtedly contemporary design that remains faithful to the austere character of the original construction. The design and introduction of custom-made furniture was of special importance to this project, contributing a functional value to each room. Whether by dividing up space or by dispersing natural light, the furniture takes on an active role in the creation of different internal areas.

The result of the restoration and renovation is a house that is true to its traditional, mediterranean origins and, at the same time, unequivocally contemporary in its design. The natural light and exquisite sea views, bestowed by its great location, now take center stage in what is a privileged home.
