@beansprean I love this! It would make some sense for it to attract vampires to live there too. They wouldn't tear it down to build a more modern house. Vampires would want to keep everything the same. Plus, over the last 100 years they should have run out of space to bury victims ages ago but there's always room for one more somehow...

I'm curious what you guys think about Colin's secret room.

I've seen some posts that interpret its very existence as proof that Colin is lying to Laszlo. Because the room exists- it has his journals and his clothes, etc.- that Colin must have put it all there for himself to collect later on and that he's lying when he said he didn't know what his deal was an energy vampire...

but that's not how i interpreted that scene at all.

I think he and the house are connected somehow, like its his spawn point. the way he opened the room seemed otherworldly. hitting those spots didn't reveal buttons or anything. he just punched holes in the wall but they were finally the right ones. and it didn't reveal a simple door... a piece of the wall itself burst open spontaneously to reveal that wooden door. like the house is alive.

It's entirely possible that the house itself is something Other and Colin Robinson is connected to it. We don't know how those journals got there. What if he wasn't the one journaling? he assumed they were his because they were (presumably) in his writing but maybe the house itself was writing these journals as colin robinson lived them. Maybe those clothes are spawned by the house?? could the house itself have stored colin's life's memories and necessities deep in its bowels in preparation for his new cycle?

Just a thought. Could be dead wrong but this is wwdits. much weirder things are canon

so many thoughts after the finale, but the main thing i keep thinking of is that brief moment when teenage collion robison apologizes to Lazlo and Guillermo, and when he starts to feed off of them shakes it away. Baby/teenage colin robionson was upset about being an energy vampire, but more than that i think he was upset that had to use his fun facts to hurt people.

In bright contrast to that is regular Colin Robionson, revels in feeding(like the other vampires do). One of his first actions post reincarnation is draining the home renovators. But the shift from one form to another is what makes me unable to stop thinking about it. Why does he loose his memories once he gets his others back?  What did he do as a child in previous lives? What was in his diary?

To that last question i have a theory. In Colin Robionsons diary he had complete records of his previous day to day life.He probably had accounts of how rude the other vamps were and what he did everyday at the office. Maybe his final moments as a kid was thinking it was time to grow up, and forget about his childhood. I think hes stuck in this cycle of being forced to mature and never being able to grow from his previous mistakes because he cant remeber them. Hes like an evil butterfly, forced to evolve and forget what he did when he was a caterpillar.

but seriously this season has had a huge theme of family and growing. Like with Laszlo and Guillermo raising Baby Colin Robinson, because they want to give him a good childhood, because they didnt have the best one. And with Nadja comparing herself to Guillermo because she knows what its like to have her family die in front of her. Eveyone being completely willing to join in helping Colin Robionson go to school. And frickin Guillermo calling the vampires his family, all the time! The entire ending of the last season was covens dont last forever and they all went their own self serving ways. But it didnt stick! They got lonely and all came back home! They love each other, albeit in their own weird quiet ways.

ok I’ve had this idea rattling in my head since the finale and what it essentially is is that does Colin robionson really not remember Lazslo raising him? because sure he says he doesn’t but what’s stopping him from lying ?nothing ! Plus I find it very suspicious that he can gain his old memory’s back but even when he sees his old stuff he doesn’t remember shit? I’m not buying it !

(Plus on a somewhat meta note, I really hope the writers don’t just use him forgetting as a quick angst moment. I want to see Colin Robinson grow as a vampire goddamn it. It would be super unforfilling if he never remembers)

and finally what about columns real parents? How did he become an energy vampire? I think he’s probably kind of worried about this change. It’s obviously something he at least on some level had to know about beforehand? Like he didn’t just lose 6months every 100 years and think oh yeah this is normal. Or is this his first rebirth cycle, I don’t think that works out cronlogicaly but who knows. and actually lastly thinking about Colin Robinson remembering lazslo parenting him but being angry about it. Baby Colin Robinson thought Dadzslo hated him sometimes. Maybe he worried he is boring. And thinking about Colin Robinson calling his mom super boring. Would he say the same about lazslo and his classical music and hatred of fairytales?

Yes I love Dadzlo so much and this is why! When he mentains his childhood its clear he didnt have the best role models growing up. Also hes an immortal vampire who kills people obvously hes not going to be a perfect father. But he tried which is more than the other vamps did. Hes grown so much thanks to Colin Robionson, and he clearly means the world to him.

As my Matt cut of Sunset Sunrise (give him an emmy cowards!) does numbers i want to add i see ppl keep saying he didnt care about colin he just felt responsible for his bud. Even if we find out colin predates them all (and thus no dadszlo og truther) i stand by this is incorrect.

Although theres a dhampir theory about guillermo (basically when a vampire and human breed) and id like to put a dose of that on colin. Cuuuuz that would work.

Anyway just straight up assuming laszlo just did all this out of kindness and curiosity ill shank anyone who says he hated colin and regretted taking it on. If laszlo was purposely cruel to colin you dont think guillermo wouldve gleefully killed him?! And if laszlo wanted out, he easily couldve left him to guillermo but he didnt.

In fact even when Laszlo was at his meanest towards baby colin (grand opening) he still doesnt yell in front of him and stops when he enters just like guillermo. He also bonds with him after getting openly frustrated and he feels bad about it. We never see him just scream at colin again even when hes burning him by shouting god.

Hes not perfect of course, cuz these losers repel perfect like stainmaster. He gets a little too stage mom supporting colin’s dreams, and he sincerely replies what every time colin does lasso guess what?.

Even tho he got a little overbearing w Nadja while Colin just wanted to sing, i think the point of it was a mix of pride and letting him be a kid. Staying up til 3am makes it hard to do all his ball sports. Asking wraiths not to look at him is just momma bear of him.

He keeps playing when Colin grows despite all the problems and he supports him when he wants to stop. He made sure colin had fuckin PLAYDATES i mean cmon!!! And he took him to the zoo to sneak in and pet animals apparently something they did regularly that didnt involve guillermo.

And laszlo, the man who pushed guillermo in a coffin ruining his lifes dream last season, actually works with Guillermo (they have tea!!!!) and lets guillermo pat his arm. Laszlo literaly used to flinch if guillermo got too close.

And sean, his beloved, who he even picked over guillermo in private school, he listens to GUILLERMO over sean and he doesnt punish colin for ruining sean’s shit repeatedly.

He seems genuinely devastated when colin forgets their year. He raised a literal baby with diapers and human food (colin said in 3 energy vamps have digestive systems mostly to annoy) for a WHOLE YEAR. Didnt even go fuck and suck!!! Only ate between playing with his boy!!!

Srsly in s2 would u think laszlo would do that for anyone at all?!?

Colin did have a shred of recall cuz he whistled their first song after saying he had no idea. His journals are what made him remember 100 years. I swear pics and vid could do the same. I desperately want to see him remember and thank laszlo and guillermo next season (if guillermo is around)

ok so i loved the new episode (and i mean loved, your looking at the number one Go Flip Yourself defender) but it made me realize something thats kinda been bugging me this whole season. Theres not been much real change so far. LIke sure, Colin Robionson is a kid now, and theres a night club, but wheres the change that comes from that? Guillermos still in his tiny room because no one really cares about him, Nandors still not admitted he has ever fucked up, and all the vampires still feel the same selfish ones from season one.No one cares enough to fix their house that is literally falling apart. On a meta note I know its a funny comedy haha show, but i feel like i was promised more?

Yes! The house can feed on energy via Colin and get solid meals from the buried bodies, the Baron not withstanding. He was too crispy. Really digging this theory.
