Cole pocketed his phone and went about getting the fizzy drink for Kylie, his girl, who was currently regurgitating the contents of her stomach. He grabbed a chilled soda from the fridge and added a curly straw for a little bit of fun. He was about to head up to her when he was stopped by her brother. 

“Is that for Ky? Is she still not feeling well?” Trevor hopped over the back of the couch when he saw Cole headed towards the stairs. “I can bring it to her.” 

“No I got it.” Cole shrugged. She is his girlfriend, although nobody knew that at the time. “You just go back to playing chel, I’ll be back in a minute.”

“But I’m her brother.” Trevor reminded his friend.

Yes that was true, but he was the one to put her in the predicament she was in. He was reason why she had practically made a bed in the upstairs bathroom because she was constantly getting sick from the baby, that Trevor still had no idea about.

"I know, but she did message me and I am her best friend. So I'm just gonna go." He made a run for it up the stairs and to the bathroom that was conjoined to her room.

"Here is your drink you ordered madam." Cole smiled, trying to lighten the mood while hand Kylie Zegras the drink. She thanked him and started taking big gulps through the straw. "Sips. Don't want you throwing it back up."

"It's gonna come back up no matter what." Kylie listens to what her boyfriend suggested and sipped the fizzy beverage. But it didn't take her long to lean back over the toilet and throw up again. The morning sickness, which was more like every time of the day sickness, was kicking her butt lately.

Cole slipped in behind her so he could hold them as she got sick once more. He didn't like this part, but it was all part of the process. He wished they could just jump to the part where they could hold the little one.

"It's time to tell my brother. He's getting suspicious and we're not going to be able to hide the bump for much longer." Kylie wiped her mouth, gurgling a bit of water to get the taste out of her mouth before leaning back into her favorite pillow.

She was at least three months along. There was a bump starting grow and one could see it, if they knew what to look for. The other day Kylie had an appointment that Cole wasn't able to make, and what happened at the appointment made her want to come clean to her brother about everything.

"Are you sure want to babe? I kinda don't want to murder and I think he will definetly murder me." Cole started rubbing circles into her arms and back, making his way down her body and to her belly. He was trying to get her to relax some more and maybe even get a little nap in.

"He's gonna find out eventually Coley. Especially when the ducks play the habs and there a freaking ba-" Kylie was interrupted by someone clearing their throat. She didn't feel a vibration come Cole, that must have meant that someone must have walked in on them, and what if, oh no...

Looking up from her position on the ground there stood Trevor leaning against the wooden doorframe with his arms crossed, looking ... well there was no real expression on his face. He refused to meet their gazes, opting look at the floor.

"You fucked my sister? And now you're pregnant?" Trevor directed a question to each member of the couple who just looked at him, in disbelief, unsure of really what to say or do next.

Kylie opened her mouth and was about to say something, give some sort of reasoning or excuse or explain herself in anyway, but her stomach turned and had her leaning over the bowl again.

She sobbed as the bile burned her throat. "Hey hey, it's okay, let it out" Cole encouraged inbetween placing kisses in the crook of her neck and along the backside. It was hard for him to tear his eyes away.

Trevor watched the interaction between Kylie and Cole and he couldn't help feel the love Cole had for his twin. He guessed he could get used to this, to them. He would have to if he wanted to be the best uncle.

He just needs to get over this feeling of betrayal.

"Wait Trev there's more." She called to her brother and grabbed onto the boy behind her's hand for courage and he hadn't heard this news yet either and she wanted to make sure he was listening because she was about to throw another curve ball.

"It's twins. We're having twins" Kylie nervously looked at the two boys.

in which, lola hughes could never date her big brothers best friend. he was untouchable in every sense of the word.

going to the lake house had always been lola’s favourite time of the year. she didn’t think she could love it anymore, that was, until trevor zegras started showing up every year about four years ago.

from the second the girl saw the boy, him being 18 and her 15 at the time, she was completely infatuated.

but over the years, her infatuation began to become tormenting. her brothers had their suspicions. they all knew her like the back of their hands, so, it was completely out of the ordinary when the outgoing girl suddenly became shy and introverted every time the zegras boy was around. they found it amusing, especially since not only would trevor never feel the same (meaning he wasn’t allowed to feel the same) but he was also completely oblivious to the fact.

so, after years of torment, lola knew that this year was going to be no different. in fact, it was probably going to be worse.

her parents had decided to take a summer trip to europe, which meant that the amount of her brothers friends that would be staying at the lake house would be amplified. which meant, she was only going to become more invisible than she already was.

she was the first to arrive that summer, being able to finally drive by herself after the impossible mission which was getting her license. she had gotten frozen yoghurt from the shop just a few mere minutes away from the house and was currently sat at the kitchen table eating it whilst scrolling tiktok aimlessly, awaiting the arrival of her brothers who she hadn’t seen since christmas.

the door opened, announcing the arrival of the first hughes brother, which happened to be luke. and by the sounds of loud laughter, he wasn’t alone.

“lolly!” luke exclaimed when he saw his younger sister sitting by her lonesome. looking up from her phone, she smiled at her brother and the four other boys who were with him. she recognised one as dylan duke, luke’s best friend for like forever, but she wasn’t sure who the others were.

“is that frozen yoghurt?” one of the boys asked. the girl nodded at her head, looking down at the frozen yoghurt that she was finished with before sliding it over to him. the boy thanked her loudly before grabbing the cup and taking the seat next to her. “mark.” the boy introduced himself, mouth full of mango flavoured sorbet. “lola.” the brunette girl smiled back.

“fine, i’ll take your shit upstairs, no worries man.” ethan rolled his eyes at his friend before walking passed the two and up to where all the bedroom were. luke followed, ruffling up his sisters hair as he did so.

“god, ethan has been grumpy the entire trip.” mark complained, offering lola some of her own frozen yoghurt, to which she denied. “he turned off the radio once i started singing along, i took it personally.” dylan told the girl as he sat down on the other side of her.

“and for that, we are eternally grateful.” the last boy smiled sarcastically before also taking his belongings upstairs. “was he also grumpy the entire trip?” lola asked as she watched the boy leave. “no, mackie is in a permanent state of grump.”

lola laughed before the three fell into a comfortable small talk. they asked her questions about college, scrunching up their face when she told them she would be going to boston, they then proceeded to call her a traitor and would seek her out at every hockey game to remind her. they were even more offended when she told them that she had also gotten into michigan, but had still chosen to go to boston.

the front door had opened once more, interrupting the trios new conversation about what they wanted to do that summer.

jack entered, followed by alex and cole. lola jumped from her seat at the sight of the caulfield boy. “coley!” she exclaimed before tackling him in a suffocating hug. jack scoffed from behind the two, hating how his little sister liked his best friend more than him. “rude.”

“sorry jack, you’re so right.” lola smiled at her older brother before turning to alex, also jumping him in a hug. jack only rolled his eyes before travelling over to the fridge and opening it. “there’s no food.”

“go get some then.” lola shot back, crossing her arms when jack looked over at her with an expectant look. “but i don’t know what to get.”

“get food.” lola retorted like it was obvious. “can you go and get it?” he asked. “no, why is that my job?” lola shot back.

and alas, summer had finally began when lola and jack began to argue. the sun beamed hot and the boat swayed calmly in the water at the sound of the two bickering.

jack had stopped arguing, opting to just holding his card out to the girl. cole and alex, who saw this every year, smiled at the refreshing sight. lola eyed the card before snatching it out of his hand. “fine, but i’m buying myself something pretty.”

“we’ll come with you.” dylan spoke from the kitchen counter, mark nodding his head as they both got up from their spot. “thank you, new found friends.”

what was supposed to be a short trip to the grocery store, ended up a thirty minute food run and a two hour target adventure. lola had quickly realised that both mark and dylan were the perfect enablers to all her bad decisions. they had run around target like children without adult supervision until a worker had told them to leave.

coming back to the lake house, there were a few more cars outside and a lot more noise inside. all the boys were huddled in the living room when the three arrived back home, yelling at a tv screen which had a very intense game of mario kart playing on it.

“quinny!” lola exclaimed before jumping on the boy. quinn laughed before moving his sister beside him and wrapping an arm around her. lola loved all her brothers equally, but quinn was very obviously her favourite. “hi lolly.”

“really? i didn’t even get a hug!” jack exclaimed from the other side of the room. “i didn’t even get a hello!” luke countered. lola shrugged nonchalantly before refocusing her attention back to the screen.

“i got next.” trevor told everyone as he walked into the room. lola tensed at the sight of the boy, quinn laughing at her reaction silently. trevor glanced at the girl, his signature smile overtaking his face as he saw her. “what’s up, littlest hughes?”

she hated how he called her that. it reminded her of how he was never going to see her as anything but his best friends little sister. he couldn’t even call her by her name? really?!

“hi, z.” the girls voice was quiet, but just loud enough for everyone paying attention to hear it. those people being her brothers and mark, the estapa boy frowning at her reaction.

“babe!” a high pitched voice rang across the room as a bleached blonde, model type woman walked into the room. at the sight of one of the boys girlfriends, excitement filled lola up at the fact that she might not be the only girl here this summer. she could actually do things she wanted to do now, like get her nails done or tan.

but when trevors head perked up, and he got up from his spot on the floor to make his way over to the unknown girl, all excitement left her body. she watched intently as the two shared words before trevor nodded his head and guided his girlfriend up the stairs by the small of her back.

“whose that?” lola whispered to her older brother, who quickly took his eyes off the game to glance over to the retreating couple. “her names hayley, she’s trevor’s new girlfriend. she’s real nice, i’m sure you’d like her.” but as lola nodded her head stiffly, crossing her arms and sinking into the couch, quinn realised how wrong he was.

later that night, all the boys had retreated outside to play a game of.. well, lola wasn’t sure what it was but they basically just kicked a ball around. she had been playing with them all before jack kicked the ball too hard at her head, causing her to fall on the concrete and bust up her knees. after that, she had opted to sitting on the sidelines and watching.

she had been so caught up at quinn and luke avenging her by pegging the ball so hard at jack that he yelped every time they got their hands on it, that she didn’t even notice the boy approaching her.

“hey, littlest hughes.” she smiled up at the zegras boy, “i brought you a little something.” the boy took a seat beside her before handing her a bag of frozen peas. “stupid jack, always doing something to annoy me.” she said before taking the bag of peas. “thank you.”

she couldn’t help but gaze like a lovesick puppy at the boy, who paid no mind to the way she looked at him as he laughed at her remark.

“you know i’ll always be here to give you frozen peas when jack injures you. happens at least once every summer.”

this was true. jack had a habit of hurting his younger sister every summer, purposefully or accidentally. it didn’t matter, it just always happened somehow. one summer, he had to save her from drowning as she sprained her ankle when jack pushed her into the water. she still remembers how angry quinn was, it makes her laugh to this day. but everytime, trevor always showed up with a bag of frozen peas, whether she was crying in her bedroom or laying hopelessly on the floor of the kitchen.

“at least we got it out of the way this summer.” lola shrugged. “eh, it’ll probably happen again. you’re accident prone.” trevor laughed. lola scoffed loudly before hitting him in the arm repeatedly with the bag of peas. this only enhanced his laughter as the two began to hit each other with the same bag of peas.

“babe,” hayley approached the two, raising an eyebrow at the twos pea fight. lola felt as if she had been caught in the act, but trevor was nonchalant as he looked up at his girlfriend. “the boys want you back.”

trevor nodded as he climbed to his feet, “let me know when those ones melt, i’ll give you a fresh batch.” he winked playfully at the hughes girl before running back to his friends. both hayley and lola watched him leave with similar smiles before the blonde girl took a seat beside lola.

“hi lola.” she greeted. “hi hayley.” lola greeted back, an awkward smile displayed on her face. the two fell into an uncomfortable silence. hayley was the first to break it. “so, how long have you had a crush on trevor?”

out of all the questions she could have asked, this was the one that lola was least expecting. she almsot spit out her glass of water she was sipping on. "e-excuse me?"

hayley laughed at her response, "please, i see the way you look at him. plus, trev told me how you follow him around all summer. i think it's cute, really." lola couldn't tell if she was being genuine or not, which only make her more intimidated by the girl in front of her. "but hey, we've all been there, right?"

now, lola was even more confused. "been where?"

"had a crush on someone would never want us back."

god every word that left the girls mouth made lola's skin crawl. she wanted to punch the girl in the face, but lola also knew she was right.

"i mean, it's not like trevor would ever want you back. he's your brother's best friend and he's with me now."

lola nodded her head along to the girl's words, her mind running a million miles a minute. "i'm glad you understand that. see ya 'round." and with that, hayley was walking over to the group of boys to watch from a closer angle.

she wasn't sure if she should be mad or upset by the girl's words. i mean, everything she had told her she already knew. but she didn't need to be confronted about it. and trevor had told her that she followed him around all summer? that was probably what hurt her the most. she thought her and trevor were hanging out, but he apparently found it more annoying than he let on.

looking over at the group of boys, lola's faced etched in a large frown, she made eye contact with luke. her brother tilted his head in questioning, to which she just shook her head in response. the boy's eyes found hayley, narrowing them at the girl before flipping her off when she wasn't looking. this produced a small laugh from the youngest hughes sister, which allowed luke to return to his game with a content smile.

"hey, i brought you this." lola's eyes snapped over to mark, who was standing over her with a bag of frozen carrots. his eyes fell to the bag of frozen peas in her hand, and his smile dropped. "oh, nevermind."

lola's eyes fleeted over to trevor, who was watching the interaction with a furrowed brow. "these one's are melted anyways, thank you." lola smiled back up at mark, taking the carrots from his hand and placing the peas onto the table.

mark's face lit up as he took a seat next to the younger hughes girl. the two sat in a comfortable silence, watching the game unravelling before them.

"did you want to go get frozen yoghurt?" mark suddenly asked, catching lola off guard as her head snapped over to him. the boy looked nervous, which was so unlike the boy she saw in target today throwing weighted blankets on top of dylan to make him fall over. she smiled shyly at him, nodding her head before standing up and grabbing his hand. both of their faces heated into a red hue, as lola guided him through the house and out the front door to his car.

trevor watched the two leave, a little hurt at the disregard of his frozen peas. it was a hughes summer lake house tradition, and she had broken it for some lousy carrots.

"z! throw the damn ball, bro!" alex exclaimed. trevor rolled his eyes before throwing the ball and turning his attention to jack. "your sister just left hand in hand with that estapa kid."

"who? mark?" luke hadn't meant to eavesdrop in on the conversation, but when he heard both his sister and his best friend being mentioned, he couldn't help himself. trevor nodded his head in response. he knew how protective the three brothers, especially jack, were over their little sister, which is why he brought it up in the first place.

"mark's a cool guy." luke shrugged his shoulders, "and lola can do whatever she wants." this wasn't the reaction trevor was hoping for, but he wasn't sure why he was hoping for the opposite.

"why do you care, anyways?" jack asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. sure, he didn't want his sister getting into a relationship, but he would deal with that later. however, he wasn't going to let trevor, the boy he knew lola had liked for years, ruin her fun.

"i don't, man. just thought i would let you know." trevor shrugged, before walking off to find his own girlfriend.

when the boy was finally out of ear sight, jack pulled his phone out of his pocket. "what are you doing?" luke asked his older brother.

"telling lola that she better not be doing anything she shouldn't be."

In the heart of Michigan’s summer magic, nestled among towering pines and tranquil waters of Lake Michigan, stood the sacred Hughes family lake house. Throughout the year, the Hughes siblings would be spread far apart in different stretches of the country, one of them not even residing in the country, but at this lake house and on this plot of land, none of that mattered. Because for two full months, the four of them were there together, and it was always better than the last.

“What do you mean you’re inviting him here?” Jack yelled from the living room as Grace rolled her eyes, stirring a pitcher of ice cold lemonade from the kitchen. She stood in a forest green triangle bikini top and jean shorts, fanning herself from the scorching hot summer heat that was seeping into the house.

“It means exactly that, Jack,” she shrugged, throwing the lemonade into the fridge and fetching a container of strawberries in return. “And you better not be mean to him!”

Jack scoffed, peeling himself off the couch, his bare chest exposed as he stumbled into the kitchen. “You haven’t even met the kid yet! What if he’s crazy? You’re just gonna invite some stranger into the house like it’s nothing?”

“He’s not a stranger, Jack. You’re being dramatic.”

“Yeah? Well, you’re being under-dramatic!”

Grace laughed, shaking her head as she cut the strawberries into halves. “Oh, wise words, Mr. Harvard.”

“Very funny. You know, these college dropout jokes are getting real old.”

“Can’t be a college dropout if you never went to college, Jack,” Luke butted in, stomping down the stairs as he opened the fridge and immediately grabbed the lemonade Grace had just made.

“Hey! I just made that!” Grace shouted, her small knife pointing in Luke’s direction.

With his hands up, Luke dropped the pitcher onto the counter. “Hey, no need for weapons!”

“Can you guys shut up?” Quinn complained, Trevor in tow, as they sat on the barstools at the kitchen island. “We can hear you guys fighting from the lake.”

“Oh, did someone make lemonade?” Trevor asked, ushering the pitcher towards his direction. “Grab me a cup, Grace?”

“You’re 23, grow the fuck up and get your own cup,” Grace scolded, her hands crossed over each other as Trevor stood up, a frown etched onto his face.

“Someone’s angry,” Trevor mumbled to Luke as he stretched for a cup at the top cabinet.

At that point, everyone was angry about something. Jack didn’t want Macklin to come, Grace wanted the complete opposite, Luke was deprived of the lemonade and was now watching Trevor sip it with ease, Quinn was tired of everyone’s bullshit, and Trevor got yelled at by the youngest Hughes, but truth-be-told, he was more scared of her than anyone else in the family—other than Ellen.

“Guys!’ Jack announced from his spot by the entryway of the kitchen. “Tell me I’m not crazy—”

“You’re crazy—”

“I haven’t even said anything yet, Luke,” Jack scolded as Luke shrugged his shoulders in response, diving into something on his phone. “Okay! Gracelynn here wants to bring a complete stranger to the lakehouse. That’s stupid, right?” he asked.

“Well, haven’t you done that, too? Like all of the girls you’ve brought here,” Cole added from the backdoor, fanning his red sunburn in search of the aloe vera that Grace restocks in the fridge every summer. 

“That doesn’t count.”

Grace scoffed, her back resting on the cool counter behind her. “Why not?”

“Because—”

“Because you’re a hypocrite! Macklin’s gonna come here and you guys are going to enjoy him—or at least pretend to.”

Luke stood up, his head pointing up from his phone. “We’re talking about Mack?”

“Yes?” Jack agreed confusingly, his brows furrowing at the younger boy.

“I thought this was some random dude! I’m on G’s side.”

“Oh, come on!” Jack groaned. “He is random!”

“Don’t act like you weren’t complimenting his puck protection like two weeks ago,” Luke scoffed, stealing a sip of lemonade from Trevor’s cup.

“Hah!” Grace jumped. “You like him! Admit it!”

“I don’t like him,” Jack huffed. “But... you can bring him if you want, I guess.”

“I’m sorry, what did you say?” Grace asked, her hand cupping her right ear. “I don’t think I caught that.”

“You can bring him,” he groaned, defeated.

Putting down her knife, Grace jumped up and down before running towards Jack and throwing her arms around the boy. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Mirroring her actions, he threw his arms around Grace. “He better not be a weirdo and murder us in our sleep.”

“He won’t! Well, I don’t think he will,” she smiled. “Also, you’re really sweaty.”

“Oh well, fuck you then.”

you were staying at the Hughes lake house per request of your secret boyfriend Luke Hughes. It made sense anyway, a lot of the umich boys were going and since you went there too they were all your close friends. nobody had any suspicions that you and Luke were even dating… until you had accidentally covered him in hickies during one of your late night make out sessions.

Luke walked out onto the deck, sun glaring in his eyes. he had his curtains drawn when he woke up, and he hadn't bothered peeling them apart before he slipped on his swim shorts. therefore, he had no way to tell that he had hickies littering his neck and down onto his chest. 

You were sat outside with the rest of the boys upon Lukes arrival. you felt your face heat up as soon as you saw the marks trailing down his body. You may have been a little too enthusiastic last night.

It didn't take long for the guys to notice, all quickly chirping him about the mystery girl he was seeing.

“When did you go see this mystery girl? Those look kind of fresh” Cole asked, laughing at the expression on Luke’s face. He looked bewildered, as if he had no idea where the hickies came from in the first place.

“Dude there’s no way he left yesterday he was literally here all night?” Jack answered Cole, a look of confusion with a little hint of pride etched onto his face. there was no way Luke was going around and sneaking girls into the house without anyone realizing. And if that was the case and he was, Jack was a little impressed. 

“Did you sneak someone in last night?” Quinn confusedly questioned, cocking his head to one side as he took in Luke's appearance. 

“Lukey pookie is all grown up!” Trevor singsonged, before seemingly realizing something. His eyes took a sweep around the group and frowned when his eyes settled onto yours. You promptly looked away as you felt the heat from before steadily rise to your cheeks. Trevor had no doubt put it together. You were the only girl in the group, plus you wouldn’t meet his gaze. 

However, if Trevor had known anything, he didn’t say. He tensely laughed along to the rest of the guys chirps as Luke put on a shirt. 

for the rest of your time at the lake house, you and Luke kept things more pg. nobody brought up the mystery girl after that day, and Trevor seemed to have moved on. 

Right as you were about to board your plane back to new york though, you posted on instagram so the boys had something to talk about when you were gone.

"Y/n, coming tubing on the lake with me." Jack whines, feeling needy for your attention since you've been spending so much time with Luke. It's been a few weeks since you arrived at the lake house and Luke's been...different. He seems more sad. More reserved. You've been trying to get to the bottom of it so you've been spending pretty much all your waking time with him.

"I'm trying to tan Jack. Be less of a pest and leave me in peace." You say trying to hold back your laughter.

"No, you're coming swimming with me and that's final."

"Okay, okay I'm coming Jack. But can someone else please drive the boat? I don't trust you cause you drive like a maniac."

"Quinn already volunteered...unfortunately."

You and Jack make your way to the dock where you see that Quinn, Luke, Trevor and Cole who got to the boat house last week are waiting.

Soon enough the 6 of you are in the boat and on the water. You go and sit next to Luke on the boat.

This was a bad idea, a horrible idea. She knew she shouldn’t have gone out with them in the first place, but y/n was a people pleaser and caved quickly. Saying goodbye to her friends at the lake house she headed out with her friends to whatever party they wanted her to go to. 

It also never took much for her to get drunk, she could hold and handle her liquor that wasn’t the problem, but she was a lightweight, which made this night all the worse. Two drinks in, the ones forced by her friends, were all it took for her to go back willingly for more. Three drinks after that she was absolutely hammered. 

She knew she should go home so as she started walking out of the party, her friend grabbed hold of her, “Where are you going?!”

“I should get home.”

“It’s only-” Her friend’s words were slurred, checking her watch, “Midnight. Just say for a little while longer.”

Y/n being the person that she was nodded and went back to dancing with her friends. An hour or two later she felt sick and put her foot down with her friends, saying that she was leaving. The three others nodded and let her go, the girl walking outside and stumbling down the street. 

She tripped not long after that, her knees scraping on the ground. She was overly emotional from drinking and instantly teared up. She dug around in her purse for her phone and turned it on, immediately going to call her boyfriend. 

However, just as her finger was about to hit the call button she paused, thinking about how she didn’t want Luke to see how she looked right now. They had known each other since they were little, yet only started recently dating. She had no desire for him seeing how she looked right now. 

Swiping out of Luke’s contact she went to find Trevor’s, calling him instantly. 

“Y/n/n? Where are you?”

“Trev.” Her voice was littered with emotion, Trevor could hear the waver and tears in her voice.

“Hey, hey, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”

“I think I had-” She hiccuped and sniffled, “A little too much to drink and I-I hurt myself.” Tears were streaming down her face as she spoke, lifting her hand to wipe her cheeks off. 

Grabbing his keys from his nightstand he stood quickly, “Okay, do you want Luke to come with?”

“No, no, no, no-”

“Okay, I won’t ask him. How about Jacky and Cole?” She nodded and whimpered a ‘yes’ and Trevor was knocking on their doors within seconds. 

“Hey, what’s going on?” Jack stood against the doorframe looking at his best friends, “Y/n’s hurt.”

“What?” Luke stood at the end of the hallway, looking between his brother and his brother’s friends.

Trevor’s eyes widened, “Hey Lukey.”

“Y/n’s hurt?”

He nodded and told Jack and Cole to put their shoes on, “Can I come?”

“I asked her and she said no.” 

“What? Why? Let me talk to her!” Trevor put his phone out of reach for the youngest Hughes not to grab it. 

“She doesn't want you to come and I think you should respect that Luke.”

“But she- she’s- she just said she was hurt.”

Tears flooded the boy’s eyes and Trebor looked conflicted, looking between his phone and Luke. Luckily, Jack walked out of his room and placed his arms around his brother, “I’m sure she’s okay. We'll go get her and bring her back.”

“You guys are going? Why do they get to go?”

“Because she wanted them to.”

“Trevor?” Y/n’s voice is heard from his phone where he accidentally put her on speaker. 

No one paid any mind to it, “That’s such bull shit.”

“Luke! She’s scared and drunk and probably just needs what is most familiar and comfortable to her, which is the three of us.” Cole tried to reason with the younger boy, but nothing was getting through to him.

“We’ve been friends for almost as long as you guys have been and we're dating, why wouldn’t she trust me?!”

“She does trust you, Luke. But you two are also just getting into a rhythm of dating and maybe she doesn’t want you to see her like this. And before you say anything, she knows you won’t care but she's not thinking straight. Why don’t you go sit with Quinn until we get home and we’ll let you know, okay?”

“Whatever.” He stormed off into his room, the other three rolling their eyes and rushing out to whomever's car was first. 

“We’ll be there soon, y/n/n, okay?” Cole asked, taking the phone from his friend. 

She nodded and listened to Cole talk to her as they drove to where she sat on the curb, hoping no one would come up to her. 

Luckily, no one did and the three rushed out of the car and to her side. 

“Are you okay?”

“I think so, I just got a little nervous.”

Trevor kneeled in front of her as Jack and Cole wrapped one of their arms around her at each of her sides. Placing his hands on her knees, Trevor spoke, “How many drinks did you have?” 

By now, she was able to talk without slurring her words, her mind being able to think more clearly. She held five fingers up and looked down shamefully. 

Jack chuckled, “You know you can’t drink that much.” 

Still emotional, her eyes held tears again in her eyes, “I know, I know. I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad?”

“Hey, no one’s mad, we just want you to be more careful. Let’s fix up your knees and then we’ll go home.” Trevor went back to the car to grab the first aid kit that Cole had thrown in there.

“Where are your friends?” Cole took off his jacket and placed it around the girl, “They wanted to stay longer. I didn’t want them to have to leave because of me.”

Placing a kiss on her head, Cole chuckled, “You and your people-pleaser tendencies.”

“Hey don’t make fun of me.” She held a put on her face and Jack laughed as well, “We could never.”

She laughed as well and Trevor cheered, placing the last band-aid on her knee, “Yay, we got a smile! You ready to go home?”

She nodded and the three helped her up, Jack happily driving home so she could sit with her brother in the back. She easily laid against Trevor, placing her feet in Cole’s lap. 

“Is Luke mad at me?” 

The three looked at each other, Jack glancing in the rearview mirror, “No, just a little upset.”

“I heard him over the phone.”

Trevor sighed and moved the hair that was crowding over her face out of the way, “He just wanted to make sure you were okay.”

“He sounded really frustrated.”

“He’s just worried.”

Moments passed in silence before y/n spoke again, “You were right you know?”

The boys furrowed their eyebrows, “Who?”

“Jack.”

“I didn’t even do anything,” Jack claimed, his voice going higher.

“When you were talking to Luke.” 

She flipped over so she was lying on her left side, looking through the rearview mirror so she could see Jack, tracing shapes on the floor of the car, “You said that I didn’t want him to see me like this, you were right.”

“He loves you, you know? He wouldn’t have cared.”

“I know, but there was just something, I don’t know. Scary about it. We’ve been friends for so long and I just didn’t want him to see me mess up as his girlfriend and end it.”

To, y/n, Luke seeing her drunk and emotional as friends was different from him seeing her drunk when they were dating. Sure there were plenty of times Luke had seen her drunk before, but now, it was almost as if she was afraid of him judging her more than before. 

Cole nodded his head, “I can see that. But at the same time, y/n/n, some of the things you can say are different from when you were friends, yet not really now that you’re dating, this for example.” He gestured to her knees, “The only difference is Luke’s worry is more visible, and reasonable.”

“Thank you.”

“For what?”

“For always being there for me.” She drifted off to sleep and the three boys looked at each other and smiled.

“Wakey, wakey.”

“No.” Y/n groaned, feeling more of the effects of the alcohol she consumed. 

“Come on, you’re going to give Luke a heart attack soon.”

“But I’m tired. And you’re fucking loud.”

“Only the best for you, sweetheart.”

“Don’t call me that, only Luke can call me that.”

“Oh sure, I’ve been calling you that since third grade but when my brother comes along, he gets priority.”

“Shut it.”

“I can just leave you out here.”

“No! I love you, I’m sorry, you can call me whatever you want just take me inside, please.”

“Alright lil Z, let’s go.”

“Anything but that. I don’t want to be associated with that one.” She pointed to her right where Cole was standing.

“One, now that was rude and two, I’m over here dipshit.”

“I’m telling, Mom.”

“Then I’ll tell her you got drunk.”

“I’m 21, I can get drunk if I want to.”

“Then I’ll tell her you got drunk freshman year of college.”

“Fine. Truce, all of you.”

The three nodded and shook her hand, taking her inside. As soon as the front door unlocked and opened, Luke stood up from his place on the couch and rushed over to the door, “Lukey!”

Luke caught his girlfriend in his embrace, wrapping his arms around her torso, “Hey. You okay?”

“I had a little too much to drink.” She giggled, wrapping her hands around his neck.

“Have fun bro.” The three walked off to their rooms, leaving the couple behind.

“You want to go lay down?”

“Yes please.” Luke picked her up, her legs unconsciously wrapping around Luke’s waist.

He carried her with ease to his room, placing her on the bed, “What do you want to wear?”

“Your clothes.” Luke chuckled and went to grab some clothes for her, helping her get changed.

The two got comfortable in his bed, y/n wrapping herself in the blanket and snuggling up next to Luke,

“I’m sorry for not wanting you to come, I was just nervous about how you would-”

“Hey, let’s talk about this tomorrow, okay? I’m just glad you weren’t severely hurt.” He kissed her forehead and tightened his hold on her.

She nodded, drifting off to sleep, smiling to herself.

Luke woke up around eight and took a look around his room, y/n was nowhere to be found, “Babe?”

He got up and trekked downstairs to see his brothers Trevor and Cole in the kitchen, “Have you guys seen y/n?”

The four looked at each other, then at Luke, trying not to laugh, “Bathroom.”

“Hey! I’m out of the bathroom, thank you very much.”

“After spending thirty minutes in there.” Jack retorted, coming around the side and sitting next to her, kissing her on the head, “But we love you.”

“Do you though?”

“No.”

“Hey stop being mean to my girlfriend!” Luke pulled the girl away from his brother and into his lap.

“Get your hands off my sister.”

“Never.” Trebor gagged and went back to pouring the orange juice into the glasses.

“Cole’s the only one that was nice to me last night.”

“That’s so not true. You got mad at me for calling you sweetheart.”

“I did?”

“Mhm, you were all like ‘Luke’s the only one that can call me that.’ and ‘Luke this’ or ‘Luke that’.”

Y/n blushed, hiding her face in her boyfriend’s chest, “Awe, you love me.”

“You wish, Hughes. I love Cole and Quinn. You three are jerks.”

the first time Cole met Kylie was when she surprised Trevor on their birthday. they were having a little party with cake and maybe a few beers that someone snuck in. Trevor was very surprised and everyone got to meet his twin sister.

"Everyone this is Ky the smartest person in the world." Trevor giggled pointing at Kylie. "Ky this is Jack, Alex, Cole, Cam, Matt, and um oh that's Bean!" he looked around the room at his teammates and friends plus the girl he really liked.

"hi" Kylie smiled and gave a little wave when introduced before she was quickly yank away. Trevor quickly shoved her towards Spencer.

"wow. she's um" Jack scratched the back of his neck, a slight blush danced around cheeks.

"hot?" cam interjected, they were watching Kylie smile and flirt with the tall goalie boy who she's known for forever.

"i mean yeah but, we shouldn't right?"

"no z would kill us"

"you guys are gross." Bean commented turning to Alex and grab his hand. An action that did not go unnoticed by Trevor, he saw her peck his friend on the cheek, and his smile faultered a bit before he turned back to his sister.

Cole just watched and listened to his friends. Kylie was pretty. But he didn't like her like that, like the way his friends did. he did however think she was really cool and wanted to be her friend.

"Hi. I'm Cole" He found a quiet moment to reintroduce himself to Kylie. "Happy Birthday by the way."

"Kylie." She shyly smiled smirked, taking his hand and shaking it. "And thank you. It's just another trip around the world, ya know?"

"Get anything cool? For your birthday I mean"

"Not really mainly the trip here." She shrugged, not letting the lack of present affect her at all.

"Wait a second." It was her birthday and even thought he didn't have anything really to give her like like he had for her brother, he still wanted to give her something but his pocket were empty.

And then he remembered. He had a couple of bracelets on his wrist, they weren't anything serious and figured one of them would make the pefect last minuted gift. He held one out for her.

"You didn't have to give me anything." Kylie smiled again accepting the bracelet. It was one of those bracelets that you had to tie on and were made by tying knots with embroidery floss.

"Nonsense, everyone deserves a present on their birthday." he tied the piece of jewelry on her wrist. It fit perfectly.

"One time I started opening my older brother's presents and apparently I wouldn't give it back. My parents had to get another one."

"Oh my god, Trevor would do that all time, and it wasn't just my birthday presents, it was Christmas too." Kylie laughed. This Cole kid was pretty nice, a bit short, but nice. She liked him.

"Have you have of the cake yet, I heard Mrs.Hughes made it."

"I'm not really a cake person" Cole admitted, to which Kylie agreed with him. "You know, I think they have some cookies somewhere in the kitchen, wanna dig around for them?"

I have never done a celly event before, so I modeled this one after @theemporium's 10K celly event. Trevor Zegras. Team USA's playboy. Y/N Hughes. Team USA's Golden Girl aka Jack's sister.

The Hughes twins only ever had one rule for each other, FRIENDS ARE OFF LIMITS!. Y/n never had trouble with that rule.

Until Trevor Zegras came into play. Trevor was Jack's best friend and line mate.

The two met in their junior year. Y/n was studying in the living room with The Maze Runner playing in the background. It was quiet in the house. Quinn was at UMICH, her parents were having a date night, and Luke was upstairs probably playing video games. She was enjoying the peace until a group of 5 boys came running into the house. She knew all of them. Matt Boldy, Cole Caufield, Alex Turcotte, her brother, and- Wait...She thought. Who was this other guy?

"Jack!" Y/n exclaimed as the boys jumped all onto the couches crushing her exam books.

"Yes?" Jack innocently turned to his sister who glared at him.

"Mom said no friends." Y/n scolded crossing her arms.

"Hey guys!" Luke said coming down the stairs but was quick to stop as he saw Y/n's glare.

"Luke Warren Hughes, it is past your bedtime. Get your ass back to your room." The boy slowly turned to walk up the stairs before Jack stepped in.

"Luke, it's fine. Come on." Jack waved the boy down before Y/n punched his shoulder.

"No, Jack. I am not getting in trouble because of you." Y/n shook her head.

"Come on, dude. Take a chill pill." The unknown boy said.

"Do I know you? Didn't think so. Do you live here? Also didn't think so. Luke, go to your room." Y/n said pointing to his room.

"Be nice to my friends." Jack said as Luke went up the stairs.

"Whatever, Jack. I'm going upstairs." Y/n gathered her things before turning to the known boy, "I'm sorry for my comments earlier but never disrespect me in my own house."

"Goodnight Alex, Matt, and Cole. Fuck you, Jack." And with that the girl was already gone and up the stairs. Trevor watched as she walked up the stairs.

"What's up with her? She's usually nice." Matt asked as Jack went to change the tv.

"She's probably got a stick up her ass." Jack answered.

"I like it." Trevor said with a goofy smile on his face.

"Good luck with that, Trev. Jack never lets her date any of his teammates plus it looks like she already doesn't like you." Alex said pulling his phone out.

"I love a challenge." Trevor shrugged looking to Jack who rolled his eyes, "Come on, Jack. Let me be the exception."

"What? No. Plus she hates you and doesn't even know your name." Jack explained as he continued to flip through movies.

"How do you know she hates me?" Trevor exclaimed sitting up from his seat.

"She only apologizes after saying something to tell somaeone off if she dislikes you." Cole clarified with a shrug.

"Come on, man. Give me your blessing, Hughesy." Trevor got on his knees in front of the blond.

"Fine, Zegrase. If she falls for you than you have my blessing to date her." Jack shook his head before clicking play on Fast and Furious.

"Yes!" Trevor said pumping his fist in the air.

"Can't believe he just gave a TEAMMATE permission to date his sister." Cole said to Alex.

"That's cause she's not gonna fall for him. They're too different." Jack said as Trevor was doing a happy dance.

God, did Jack hope he was right.

But you was sneaking out your window everynight riding shotgun in my car / We go to the river and find us a spot and we probably went a little too far

Two Weeks Later

"Come on, Y/N/N. One chance! Please!" Trevor begged as Y/n shut her locker.

"No, Trevor." In the last two weeks, she learned his name and was constantly dodging his attempts to get with her. She knew his reputation.

"Please. I'm begging!" He said following her as she walked to her next class.

"Ugh! Fine! One date! That's it. One chance. Don't screw it up." She said before walking into her class. His smile widened as he walked to his class that he shared with Alex.

"What's got you so smiley?" Before Trevor could answer honestly, he received a text.

"Oh, nothing." He said before replying.

He smiled as he put his phone in his pocket.

Y/n took a small breath before climbing out of her window.

She walked down the street to where she told Trevor to park. She wished she brought a jacket as it was cold. She saw Trevor sitting in his car looking at his phone.

He smiled when he saw her walk up to his car.

"Hey." She said getting into the car.

"Hi." He said with a giddy grin.

"Where are we going?" She asked putting her seat belt on.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out." He said pulling out from his parking spot.

"Can I play some music?" She asked reaching for the aux cord. Trevor nodded. She played her shared playlist that she had with her brothers thinking Trevor would like some of the songs but of course the first one to play was Taylor Swift's Speak Now.

"Oh my god." Trevor exclaimed as Y/n's eye widened with worry thinking he didn't like the song, "I love Taylor Swift."

Trevor reached to turn the song up and sang along. Y/n watched with a smile. Maybe going on this date with him wouldn't be too bad.

The two continued to sing along to the songs before reaching their destination.

"The Lake?" She questioned looking at the lake in front of her.

"I thought we could have a picnic." He said reaching into his backseat for the basket and blanket.

"And here's this." He added handing her one of his USA hoodies. "You looked cold."

She took the jacket with a smile before putting it on.

"Thanks." The two got out of the car.

Y/n slipped her hand into Trevors making his smile widen as a blush overtook her cheeks.

The two found a spot and ate the snacks that Trevor had packed. The two found themselves getting lost in conversation.

"Thanks for this." Trevor said looking at the girl.

"For what? You're the one who planned everything." She said tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

"For saying yes." He said making the girl blush.

"I'm sorry for being so mean to you." She said scooting closer to him.

"It's ok. I was also a bit annoying." He said as the two leaned in.

"It's a bit annoying that you haven't kissed me yet." She said before slamming her lips on his. A simple kissed turned into a make-out which led to more.

By the time Y/n snuck back into her room, it was time for her to get back up for volleyball practice but she didn't even care how tired she was. She was more focused on what was to come with the boy.

Thanksgiving Day 2017

"We need to tell Jack." Trevor said to the girl as she walked back into her room. He was laying on her bed.

"Are you sure?" She said plopping next to him.

"Positive." He said pulling her close to him.

The two sat in silence until she broke it, "You're gonna be my forever"

"And you're gonna be my wife." He replied.

"So you're for real about telling Jack." Trevor nodded and Y/n sat up.

"Let's tell him tomorrow, then. Quinn comes home tonight so then if Jack tries to kill you, Quinn will be there to stop him." She said making her laugh.

"He actually said I had his blessing." Trevor said with a smile.

"Did he really?" She asked with her brows furrowed.

"Yeah. That night I met you. I knew you would be mine." Trevor said pulling her back down next to him.

"We are gonna be the greatest love story this town has ever seen" He said kissing her temple.

So you went off to college and I got a job I was working that 9 to 5

The Draft Day ended up coming faster than the two had thought. The two had been avoiding the question of what would happen when Trevor gets drafted to Anaheim.

Y/n had been accepted to UMich and Trevor was gonna play for Boston before going to the Ducks.

Y/n sat next to Jack while Trevor sat a couple rows back. Y/n was a wear a simple black dress with heels and her hair was pinned back in a half up half down look.

She turned in her sear and sent Trevor a smile as the ceremony started.

As expected, Jack went first overall to the New Jersey Devils. He hugged his twin as soon as his name was called.

Then came the moment that the couple was dreading, Trevor Zegras went 9th overall for the Ducks. As Trevor came down the stairs, Y/n met him and took his jacket as well as gave him a hug.

"We'll talk later." He whispered in her ear and she nodded as he made his way to the stage.

Screaming for the days when you were coming back, no couldn't come to soon

The two called it quits the next day. Trevor was playing for Anaheim and Y/n was studying to become a nurse in Michigan.

The two both knew it had to happen so it was mutual but that didn't mean it didn't hurt the two any less.

They partied that night as if everything was gonna be okay.

They knew fate would bring them back together because both of them knew they were gonna be the greatest love story the world has ever seen.
