As a solo performer, in small groups or large ensembles she moves in an area which is constantly stretching the borders of what is supposed to be DJ mixing, free improvisation and composed music. • AUGUSTE VICKUNAITE Augustė Vickunaitė is a sound performer with a background in physics science. She mainly uses reel-to-reel tape recorders to play, record, and create sounds that contain diverse field recordings, malfunctions of the old technology itself and intentional sounds/instruments recorded in natural environments. • CEDRIK FERMONT Born in Lubumbashi in 1972, Cedrik Fermont, also known as C-drík, Kirdec, and Cdrk, is an artist with Belgian, Congolese and Greek roots based in Berlin. He studied declamation, theatre improvisation, and electroacoustic music in Belgium. Since 1989, he has been actively involved in the realms of noise, electronic, and experimental music as a composer, musician, mastering engineer, author, radio host, concert organiser, independent researcher, and label manager at Syrphe, a label and platform founded in 2002, mostly dedicated to electronic, experimental and free improvised music from Asia and Africa. The miniLab project, curated by Laura.aLL, is a space for music experimentation, open to experimental, ambient and improvised music. It takes place every last Wednesday of the month at Galerie Zeitzone in Berlin. The fifth edition of miniLab features three experimental musicians from the Berlin scene: JD Zazie (CDjs, turntable), Laura.aLL (guitar, electronics) and Niki Matita (modular synth, obsolete devices). The artists will play solo and at the end of the night a live improvisation as a trio.

* Laura.aLL (aka LauraL, Laura Leiner) is a guitarist, experimental composer and curator. She is an artist and researcher with a multi-disciplinary background encompassing music, performing arts, sound art, video and social communication/journalism. Laura's work ranges from experimental art to ambient music, including deep listening, field recordings, psychedelic rock, electroacoustic, noise and minimal. She also broadcasts the radio show Klang#030 monthly at reboot.fm (Berlin). Her Band M.i.p.V (Músicas intermináveis para Viagem/Endless music for Tripping), a guitar + drums trip rock duo that started in Brazil, turns 20 in 2024. * Niki Matita is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ and radio person focussing mainly on sound, noise & music. Her audio walk show „La Passante Ecoutante“ airs monthly on Colaboradio. * JD Zazie is an experimental DJ, avant-turntablist and sound artist. Coming from a DJ and a radiophonic background. JD Zazie has explored over the years different approaches of real-time manipulation on fixed recorded sound. In her work she redefines DJ and electroacoustic activities. As a solo performer, in small groups or large ensembles she moves in an area which is constantly stretching the borders of what is supposed to be DJ mixing, free improvisation and composed music. She is a member of Reanimation Orchestra, is part of Hiccup (w/ Marina Cyrino, Tony Elieh, Matthias Koole) and plays regularly solo and duo with Heidrun Schramm. She is the art director of the MuseRuole - women in experimental music festival, a member of the Burp Enterprise collective and broadcasts monthly on Colaboradio and on Reboot.fm. She has performed at numerous events and exhibitions internationally.

ELLE DIT  - a radio platform focusing on amplifying women*'s voices heard on the radio - curated by Rosanna Lovell in a live broadcast with Akkamiau In context of recent changes across the world, such as passing strict abortion laws in USA, or overview of countries where the abortion is illegal, we discuss the issue from general and personal perspective. Show features akkamiau's latest composition InTerjeCtions, commissioned by IMA Institut für Medienarchäologie and premiered at Interdisciplinary festival The Art of Reproduction in WAHLBÜRO XX TÉCHNE 6.0, St. Pölten AU, 11. 4. 2019. akkamiau  - InTerjeCtions (EP) A quadraphonic sound performance presents a granulated message of vibrational mantras. The vocal parts of the composition originate from narrations of the women who made a choice at a certain point of their life and now they come forward and share their stories. In order to interpret subjective feelings through the music and sound, recorded interviews are granulated into soundbites, revealing and emphasizing the hidden message of emotionally loaded sentences. Speech is transformed into emphatic expression, and substitutes the role of the emotional and cognitive interjections in linguistics with the healing power of the sound. The final composition is devoted to representing the mystical law of simultaneity of cause and effect. JD Zazie & Peter Cusack (duo) (Impro / Experimental / Field Recordings)

Peter Cusack is a musician, field recordist and sound artist with a long interest in the sound environment. Projects include Favourite Sounds and Sounds from Dangerous Places. In 2011/12 he was a guest of the DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm. Musically he is an improviser playing guitar and field recordings. JD Zazie is an experimental DJ, avant-turntablist, sound artist and curator based in Berlin. Coming from a DJ and a radiophonic background JD Zazie has explored different approaches to real-time manipulation of fixed recorded sound. As a solo performer, in small groups, and in large ensembles, she works in an area which is constantly stretching the borders of what could be defined as DJ mixing, free improvisation and composed music. Mat Pogo (solo) (voice, experimental, improvisation)

Born in Rome is a vocalist and graphic artist now resident in Berlin. His solo set features his voice, a microphone and some electronic devices. He developed his own language as a vocalist using his experience as a rock singer, an improvisor and radio artist where music, sounds, anecdotic and narrative elements fuse constantly. Weird processed vocal eruptions, intense screams, occasional words, pitched mouth cavity noises and electronic textures melting together in a very expressive way and often with a delicate sense of humor.
