Today marks 69 days since I first saw Beetlejuice The Musical! That's 69 😉 days of Beetlejuice Brain Rot keeping a firm grip and probably not letting go until I get to see it again in April (on 4/20 no less!) So to commemorate, I did my first test run of cosplay/makeup and made my first prop. The engineering part of my brain told me I had to do it to scale, so scale and trace it I did. I chose to make it out of felt to make it a bit stiffer while adding texture. Also chose a glitter felt for the "B" because ✨theater✨. Bonus, my BJ-colored/tuxedo cat being a little demon and interrupting my work.

Nabu Watch investigated: Razer gets into smartwatches bigly (actually) The $150 smartwatch creates an impression with its outline, however it's generally basic.
Razer added to its wearable accumulation at CES not with a smartwatch but rather with "a watch that is savvy." That's the means by which the organization charges its new Nabu Watch, a G-Shock-esque gadget that doesn't have any bling yet is sufficiently huge to catch everybody's eyes. It's a full chronograph timepiece with an advanced show notwithstanding an optional ticker screen for cell phone warnings. On top of that, it tracks every day movement too.
The Nabu Watch is Razer's method for getting into the smartwatch world while as yet remaining consistent with its client base by making gadgets that are "by gamers, for gamers." The watch unquestionably grasps a similar tasteful of Razer's different items—pure black with splendid lime green enumerating. At $149, however, the Nabu Watch may be most appropriate for the Razer-fixated. It's dull for every other person.
Plan: A gained taste
Razer channels Casio's flashy yet notable G-Shock line of watches with its Nabu Watch. I like enormous watches as a rule, yet this one looks funny on my little wrist. It's cumbersome with various raised, oval accents that make it look like something a post-whole-world destroying computer game character would wear.
In the focal point of its blaring face is an advanced show that demonstrates the date, time, and mode as a matter of course. Appropriate underneath the principle show is a 128×16-pixel OLED ticker-like screen that exclusive demonstrates your cell phone warnings and action details. Contrasted with different smartwatches and wellness trackers that simply have one do-everything show, I like that Razer isolated the data you'd generally need to see when you look down at your watch and the data that has a short time span of usability, as cell phone notifications. Two distinctive presentations mean two diverse battery lives—the timepiece show will last no less than a year on account of its coin-cell battery, however the "savvy" show will last about seven days before it needs charging. The charging hub is on the back of the watch. The Nabu Watch accompanies an exclusive link, so don't lose it in the event that you need to keep the ticker alive.
At the edge of the round watchface are four physical catches encompassed in Razer's mark lime green shading. The Mode catch gives you a chance to look through the six modes on the watch (world clock, settings, nearby clock, stopwatch, alerts, and clock) and the Light catch turns on the screen's backdrop illumination. The Set and Adjust catches are chiefly utilized as a part of stopwatch and clock mode, so you likely won't utilize them as often as possible as the other two catches. The main other catch on the gadget is ideal underneath the show. It controls the ticker show, giving you a chance to expel notices and look through movement information.
The Nabu Watch is both stun safe and water-safe up to 50 meters, so at any rate its ruggedized appearance has some commonsense advantages. I don't know into which extraordinary circumstances you'd be taking this generally fundamental wellness tracker, however that assurance ought to give clients genuine feelings of serenity that it won't be harmed by a sudden fall.
Fundamental action following and notices, impossible to miss social components
Razer has two different wristbands, the $99 Nabu with an OLED show and the $49 Nabu X with three little LED lights. Both have basically similar components: movement following, cell phone warnings, social data trade, and gaming potential. The Nabu Watch is the watch adaptation of these different groups since, beside the diverse modes that the chronograph timepiece gives, its elements are almost indistinguishable to the wristbands.
The accelerometer in the Nabu Watch gives it a chance to screen steps, separate, calories, dynamic time, and rest. You can interface your MapMyRun record to the Nabu portable application so the band can see your running information, in spite of the fact that it doesn't have a run following mode itself. Rest following is programmed after the watch acknowledges you've been "resting" for more than 15 minutes amid the daytime hours and eight minutes during the evening. Notwithstanding when I sat at a work area for a couple of hours, the watch never considered me to be sleeping, yet that may be on the grounds that my hands were moving from writing or extending.
Tragically, the Nabu Watch is evidence that size doesn't generally make a difference. In spite of its huge edge, the watch doesn't show at least a bit of kindness rate screen or inherent GPS, making it more fundamental than even the HRM-prepared, $149 Garmin Vivosmart HR. Regarding movement following, it's on an indistinguishable level from the normal $129 Fitbit Charge and considerably less expensive gadgets like the $69 Misfit Shine. In any case, I don't think the absence of elements was an oversight. Razer did not set out to make the best wellness look for the cash, rather it needed to make a wellness watch that its fans would appreciate.
Three alerts come standard on the Nabu Watch, yet you have to turn them on from the versatile application. You can set more cautions too, and the dynamic alerts will appear on the fundamental screen on the watch under the alert segment. The watch additionally has the choice to "ring each hour," which was super valuable for me when I needed to deal with my time better at work. (It's simply one more kind of clock, obviously. The watch has this at any rate, so you could utilize the clock mode to monitor to what extent you deal with a particular venture, as well.)
Like the Nabu and Nabu X groups, the Nabu Watch has a handshake motion that can be utilized to trade social data, similar to Twitter and Facebook accounts, with someone else. On the off chance that you go over someone else brandishing a Nabu wearable, you can shake his or her hand to rapidly get their Facebook or Twitter data. This could prove to be useful at enormous occasions gave that others are wearing a similar sort of gadget you are. In any case, this element doesn't work with whatever other wearable line for the present, so for a great many people it won't be a consistently utilized signal. The one signal I coincidentally utilized a considerable measure was the wrist-turn to awaken the ticker show. Each time I lifted my wrist to check the time, the optional screen would illuminate and indicate me either what number of new warnings I had or my aggregate stride tally accordingly far.Nabu App: A not insignificant rundown of settings to change
The Nabu application for Android and iOS is the portable sidekick for the greater part of Razer's wearables. After you match the Nabu Watch, the landing page will demonstrate the gadget at the top, alongside battery life status and a Bluetooth pointer, and your movement details will be in a rundown underneath. Every tab is expandable, conveying you to a week after week diagram demonstrating to you how dynamic you were in contrast with earlier days of the week. The rest tab demonstrates to you when the band recorded you nodding off, how long you spent wakeful, and what number of anxious minutes of hurling and turning you had amid the night. Rest is the one detail you can alter, which is valuable since accelerometers in these sorts of wellness trackers can regularly be mistaken, as they just get your development as a measure of rest.
Beside rest, those details look on the watch's optional show, so you'll truly just go to the application to audit different days of advance. Other than that, the application is the place you can change the greater part of the settings for the Nabu Watch, including watch time zones, spared alerts, associated social records, notice vibrations and quality, and that's only the tip of the iceberg. You can't channel the cell phone notices that you get to the watch from its application, notwithstanding. In the same way as other wearables, it will get the greater part of the alarms that your telephone gets unless you incapacitate certain ones from your cell phone's settings. You can, be that as it may, initiate "Don't Disturb" mode from the application, which will quiet all warnings (you can likewise change the speed and force of the ready vibrations).
You can pick the request in which your movement details appear on the Nabu Watch's auxiliary show, and you can actuate the watch's "remote control" include. The middle catch on the watch can have a moment use as a music controller or a catch to take pictures from your telephone. I set mine to the photograph snapper, and it works pretty effectively—simply long-press the catch to enact remote control mode and afterward, with your camera application open on your telephone, squeeze it once to snap a photograph.
Generally, the application is really essential and simple to tinker with, however I didn't utilize it a considerable measure other than when I was altering my settings. I utilized the ticker show regularly to see my action details, however any individual who needs to contrast their details with yesterday and the day preceding will invest more energy in the application. Also, not at all like Jawbone's Up application, the Nabu application doesn't give you counsel on the best way to be more dynamic or sound (regardless of the possibility that you can set stride, separation, and calorie objectives to accomplish).
For the Razer diehards, faulty for any other person
The Nabu Watch absolutely isn't for everybody—it's polarizing from the moment you take a gander at it, yet Razer made it particularly for gamers. Its elements are strong. It makes a decent showing with regards to of following strides and rest, the ticker screen makes it simple to see movement details and cell phone warnings without impeding the clock see, and the different watch modes make cautions, a clock, and a stopwatch effortlessly available on your wrist.
None of the current wellness trackers and smartwatches essentially avoid gamers, however—they're quite recently intended to interest a mass-advertise crowd. I don't trust all gamers have a similar stylish, and some may see this plan as pompous and conspicuous. The watch would emerge if there were all the more gaming-particular utilize cases for it, and Razer guarantees that engineers are taking a shot at approaches to utilize the greater part of its groups in recreations. For the time being, none of the Nabu groups join these gaming elements, and Razer is being unclear about exactly what engineers will have the capacity to do with them.
