I've been re-reading Worm and God the part starting with Coil bombing the mayoral debate and ending with the heroes coming for Taylor in school (or Noelle's death, if you're picky) is such an insane run of arcs. Just banger after banger after banger.

It's got everything; Taylor being blinded, Coil pretending to free Dinah, Taylor fighting her way out of Coil's trap, the Undersiders thinking she betrayed them, Coil finally biting the bullet and Dinah going home, and then boom! Noelle time, and everything that comes with it!

It's by far my favourite part of the book. I honestly think Gold Morning is the only thing that can compare to it. It's an absolutely insane decision to have the two cathartic things we've been building to since before Leviathan (Dinah being freed and Coil exiting stage right) happen in the middle of that shitstorm, and even more insane to make them work so well.

From the journal of Estelle de Laussienne, 1st of the 6th Astral Moon, 1 7A.E. Bahamut's Coils are breathtaking in their cruelty, really – and I am no stranger to it. I've seen the human traffickers of Vylbrand. I have seen the state-sanctioned violence against Duskwight and Miqo'te tribes under the boughs of the Twelveswood. I have seen the refugee camps of Thanalan, where Ala Mhigans fled their conquerors only to be exploited for labor and bloodsport in the land that was meant to be their refuge. I have seen the Witchdrop of Coerthas, where innocents are judged and executed without trial for imaginary crimes.  And yet it all seems like playground games compared to this. What level of ethical and moral perversion does it take to imagine a torture device as an infinite source of energy? I quite literally can't fathom it. And oh, the complicity -- the hundreds, if not thousands of laborers required to engineer and build it. I wonder how many hands the blueprints passed through that understood, deeply, the evil they were doing and proceeded regardless. I wonder how many did not believe it evil at all. To think the Garleans have the gall to use the Allagans as a boilerplate for their own empire and yet call us the savages.

Hi! i was wondering if you ever considered making yarn bowls? i know a fair few knitters and crocheters and im sure they’d love something like that!!

I have considered it, but bowls are really tough for me, not just to make, but to decorate. I’d say they’re the hardest shape to design for and carve.

but if a wheel thrower happens to give me a big beautiful bowl, I will make a yarn bowl!
