i made a coffeetalk au for esmp/wcsmp Shelby & it takes place post wcsmp

Shelby doesnt use magic as often as she used to, but its still apart of her lovely, late night, seattle coffeeshop

(She/He/They Shelby in all my aus as long as its c!Shelby)

Its been a few years since he dropped the Great/Storm witch title, since they left the empires and witch trials completely.

He owns a quaint, open late at night, coffeeshop in Seattle, Washington. They talk with the locals often, sometimes getting not-so locals

Its been three years, and they just learned Hyde was moving back! Thats great!

But one day the door opens, and its a group of people.

All of them from her past, and none of them aware how golden, all to familiar, eyes stare longingly at them as they talk before ordering.

Except one. Staring back, yet still not sure who this (clearly dyed) orange haired person is. Katherine swears, after she leaves with Gem and Jimmy, that she knows the barista. they call her crazy. She goes back the next day.

She arrives, and the cute barista is talking to someone - a vampire perhaps - and she takes a seat next to him.

"Hello!"

"Hello Ma'am."

"Hm.."

She smiles, and requests the same drink from the previous day. Her normal coffee order for the past 13 years since she had that coffee date with Shelby (who, mind you, she hasnt seen in 10 years. No fault of Shelby's, they got busy and couldn't follow up for that second date and eventually lost touch)

The barista makes it, and drags her into her conversation with the stranger.

"By the way, I never got your name? Ive been calling you the cute barista since last night."

The barista's face flushed and she smiled while the vampire hummed at both reactions.

"Ah- uhm- im Shelby!"

"Katherine. Nice to meet you Shelby."

"Yeah... you too.."

She pretended not to see the heart break in the barista's eyes in the way she repeated the ending greet.

Also while I was replaying the game I realized that hyde said vampires dont have pointy ears.... I completely forgot that when I drew this 💔

Katherine thinks that her new barista is really pretty and the way that they make her order so perfectly to the way she order when she went on that date with Shelby(when she first started drinking coffee)? Ohmygod. shes obsessed with the late night coffee shop that she throws her sleep schedule to the wind just to see the pretty barista.

Shelby thinks her luck is the absolute worse. Sure, universe, yeah! Throw her ex friend, her best friend, and the sheriff she killed that once into his coffeeshop! Perfect! Oh you think thats bad? Hyde knows whats going on. Hyde looked at Shelby and instantly knew. Oh? Hyde knows? Thats bad? NO IT GETS WORSE, SHELBY CANT CATCH A BREAK. SCOTT(wc) KNOWS. GUESS WHOS ALSO IN TOWN? Sausage. and Fwhip. and Joel & Lizzie. and hermés? Hermés is there! He's 11 now, wow. Shelby thinks the little guy has grown so fast but makes himself remember he was gone for 10 years of everyones life and never checked in.

So Shelby has shit luck !! Hyde & Scott(wc) know !! Katherine thinks shes pretty!!

This takes places during the second game of Coffeetalk - Coffeetalk 2: Hibiscius Tea

CT2:HT takes place in 2023, three years after the first game(2020 timeline).

In my mind, this measn esmp s2 would take place in 2010, 10 years pass and wcsmp takes place in 2020. Three months pass from wcsmp and the first game takes place. <- This is how the timeline works in this au. All the characters in this au are in their early 30s due to this.

Shelby Grace, a barista, owns a late night coffeeshop. One of their best customers is Hyde, a vampire who's come in before but hasnt come by in three years until this fateful evening.

Hyde's aware of Shelby being a witch, yet the two have never spoken about the magic she holds (Which, honestly, Shelby's happy about).

On this same evening, more old faces come in and Shelby can feel his blood drain as soon as he looks at one of them.

Katherine Elizabeth is visiting a friend in Seattle with Gemini Grim and Jimmy (Shadow-)Solidarity. Gem pulled her and Jimmy into the small coffeeshop as a break from the rain. It doesnt help that Gem and Katherine have heels on while Jimmy doesnt. Maybe they shouldnt have gone to that party earlier.

Katherine feels all too familiar with the barista, with their scars and the care they take when handing things to people.

Oh, maybe the shock of lightning magic that danced across their hands when Shelby handed her the Hibicuis Tea she asked for. Katherine caught the look Shelby gave their hands when it happened, the fear in his eyes of being reprimanded by someone.

Katherine saw the way their eyes darted to Gem in fear and then to Hyde when he asked a question.

Shelby's aware that Katherine's probably on his case. They just hope Katherine doesnt say anything to anyone else right now.

Coffeetalk! A game that can be bought on steam. You make coffee/tea and live in a world of beings who arent exactly.. human.. You meet a flurry of people. A fae, catfolk, a vampire, an elf, a werewolf, aliens, and succubi!

This au follows the playthrough that Shelby Shubble did and can be found on her vods channel on youtube!

It diverges from canon, since its revealed that you(The Player) are an alien and related to a hive mind. This au instead follows the first Coffeetalk stream Shelby did, where Chat was discussing the possibility of the player being a witch

This au takes place in the universe of empires season 2/witchcraft smp. It follows a timeline of 13 years after s2 and 3 after wcsmp.
