Amongst the music and flashing lights, Edgar was sparkling. Literally sparkling. After realising he probably shouldn’t wear the sexy nurse costume he’d bought to make Ollie laugh, the man had gone to Xyla for last minute help putting together something vaguely resembling a costume. The result was a simple look composed of vampire teeth, a trench coat, eyeliner, and glitter everywhere,. From his curly hair to down his chest, everything shimmered in the light, leaving Edgar to be one very sparkly vampire. From where he stood at the bar, Ed was trying to catch his reflection in his glass of beer. “Hey uh, does my eyeliner still look okay?” he spoke to the person next to him, self consciously wiping a finger under his lashes, “feels weird having this stuff on my eyes, man.”

Despite her boss’ words or warning about her potentially risky costume idea, Xyla slipped on thigh-high stockings, a little black dress and draped a deep red velvet robe over her shoulders. To most, she looked ready for a passionate night at home. But the wooden pipe and sailors hap sitting onto of her wavy locks were the finishing touches to her Hugh Hefner costume. She could’ve gone as one of the usual suspects like a cat or a witch, thereby playing it safe. But the concept of blending in and becoming just another face in a crowd was foreign to Xyla as she turned heads wherever she went. Tonight wasn’t going to be any different.

The party was in full swing by the time she arrived. Mummies, Superheros and the odd grotesque Zombie were mingling on the dance floor, sipping on drinks and snapping photos at every opportunity as the venue was decorated from floor to ceiling, causing your jaw to drop the second you walked in. Cecelia knew how to throw a party, there was no doubt about that.

Xyla rested her arms on the bar, waiting patiently for the bartender to return with her drink - some festive concoction with a name she didn’t bother trying to remember - when she heard a familiar voice from behind her. Turing on her heel, she peered up at the individual, her eyes narrowing as she took in their costume.

“Ever consider incorporating glitter into your everyday makeup routine? Because you could really pull off that whole 80′s rockstar meets and mermaid thing,” She teased, the edges of her lips curling up into a smirk as she teased her friend. “But this is cute too,” Xy continued, a hand reaching out to touch the material of their costume. @codstarters​

“I know I phoned in my costume, but I had no time!” Orion groaned, looking down at the paramedic uniform he wore every day. He’d taken off any important job-sensitive items- his walkie talkie was gone and he’d taken off his velcro name tag. He’d just worked a double but he’d promised a few friends he’d show up at this fancy party. Originally, he’d wanted to show up in drag, but there was no way he would’ve had time to get it all done in time. His makeup took at least an hour. “This’ll have to do, huh? I don’t know how long I’ll last, either. I’m exhausted. You look great, though! Is there alcohol here?”

It’d been years since she dressed up for halloween--or at least worn something other than her scrubs to hand out candy to kids. She’d spent hours on the internet looking for quick costumes she could throw together, and she ended up dressing as a superhero. Her hair wasn’t nearly as dark as the Scarlet Witch’s was, but she had the outfit down. Hopefully people would get it. Halloween was her birthday, but her parents were usually working. So, she never had dressed up as a kid. She never brought up her birthday, though. It was just another day. After grabbing two drinks from the bar, she handed one out to Logan. “A bit of a change of pace from coffee, but I hope you like it.”

Every year Logan’s go-to costume is always Fox Mulder from the X-Files, and this year is no different. He wears his worst work suit, his trusty fake FBI badge, and carries around a bag of snacks as well. Very low effort, but a fan fave

Orion was still figuring out what he was doing at this giant event. People everywhere, dressed up and chatting. Not that he didn’t love talking to people, but he wasn’t exactly confident just wearing his paramedic uniform. He wished he’d gotten to wear something a bit more elaborate or... different. Even gone in drag. But oh well. He was a bit tired from work and not paying much attention- not a good mix for a 6′7″ giant of a man carrying a full cup of punch. He bumped into someone as he was turning and held his cup up very high, watching the liquid teeter back and forth, nearly spilling over the both of them. “Ah- caught it. Wow, that would’ve been a bit of a mess, sorry about that.” He pulled his bright red punch back down. “I really need to watch where I’m going.”

Yaz tried to look fancy AND spooky at the same time. Rather than straight hair, her is long and braided, and under her dress are a pair of study sneakers. matched with dark red lips and long fake nails (which will probably be taken off before the night is through)

Felix Winter as Jughead Jones

One of his sisters attempted to tease him by telling him he should attend the Halloween party dressed as Jughead specifically because he is broody, always wears black, and she considers him a weirdo. Instead of giving her the irritable reaction she was hoping for, he bought the classic S shirt and beanie. He has never watched Riverdale in his life but it was worth the expense just to flip her off as he left the house.
