Ulrich and Jeremie - Unlikely besties.
This post was a long time coming, and will be the penultimate post in my Lyoko Warriors friendship headcannons. Check out the other posts I made: Yumi and Odd - Chaotic besties Aelita and William - Quiet Besties Check out my Code Lyoko Masterlist!
(There are no pictures of Ulrich and Jeremie on Google Images and I don't want to accidentally use someone else's work, so no images here.)
(I did find a really good fanart of them! I shall link it here! All credits to the owner of the art!)
Headcannons!
So hear me out.
Before the Lyoko mess began, Jeremie and Ulrich were the only two who went to Kadic as boarders. Yumi was a day student prior to the series too, but Jeremie and Ulrich knew each other before Ulrich even met Yumi!
Also, assuming that Ulrich regularly takes up martial arts with Jim and he met Yumi for the first time there, I think Yumi might have also been a relatively new student to Kadic at the time of meeting him.
It's been established in the show that Ulrich and Sissi have known each other for quite a while, so Ulrich must've been at Kadic for a really really long time.
And Jeremie is well-known as the most intelligent student of his grade, so he must've also been at Kadic for a long long time.
So these two just knew each other as casual friends in class, but never really interacted much since Jeremie was all about his books and Ulrich was trying to get away from Sissi.
But Ulrich probably had a very trustworthy reputation prior to X.A.N.A. awakens (I also made a post about my thoughts on rewatching X.A.N.A. awakens, which you can check out). He keeps to himself and fends off the principal's daughter who has a huge crush on him, to the point where Jeremie doesn't hesitate too much before telling him about Lyoko.
Ulrich also has a very good sense about Jeremie and was able to figure out his giant crush on Aelita (then again, Jeremie is adorable and is an open book).
As the Lyoko warriors got together, and with Odd being Ulrich's roommate -- again, nobody in Kadic has roommates except Ulrich and for the Principal to trust Ulrich might have to do with his quiet nature (also the fact that he thinks Ulrich and Sissi are still good friends or something) -- well, the focus shifts to Ulrich and Odd's friendship, and Jeremie's focus shifts to materializing Aelita, so their moments of friendship are blinded due to plot circumstance.
BUT Jeremie trusts Ulrich to keep Aelita safe more than anyone. Ulrich is the most protective of Aelita out of all the Lyoko Warriors, and Aelita looks up to Ulrich like a brother!
For that to have happened, there must be an unspoken trust between Jeremie and Ulrich in the first place, which I think there is!
And I think Jeremie and Ulrich are wonderful because
They both use their hearts more than their heads when it comes to their respective love interests (Jeremie virtualizing himself onto Lyoko to apologize to Aelita after a fight and Ulrich using Return to the Past to get the right lottery tickets that he thinks might help Yumi stay at Kadic).
And their family dynamics are opposite to each other! Jeremie comes from a household with loving parents while Ulrich's relationship with his parents are somewhat strained. I just think it's pretty nice, how similar and different they are.
You know, their contrasting family relations also play into their relationships. Jeremie and Aelita have a most smooth-sailing romance with minimal drama, while Ulrich and Yumi are on-and-off with so many hiccups, man.
I'm pretty sure Jeremie, Aelita, Ulrich and Yumi go on double dates after shutting down the supercomputer.
Also, ULRICH WILL BE THE ONE WHO GIVES JEREMIE "THE TALK". I'm so convinced of this.
Like ofc, Jeremie probably knows about "the talk" but he might have a moment of fear and Ulrich will be the one to set him straight.
And I have a feeling Jeremie was jealous of Ulrich once upon a time, since he was a really popular guy, but it was probably just a small phase.

1️⃣ and ⭐? ^-^
Thank you so much for this!! I hope you are having a wonderful day and are getting all the love you deserve!1️⃣ - who’s the first f/o you ever had? I've been getting crushes on fictional characters ever since kindergarten (maybe even before??) But I fell victim to “I couldn’t be with them, so this character works” for the most part! So my first f/o was Ulrich from the show Code Lyoko!Though the first character I went, “Screw it, Imma give them all the love MYSELF!” Was Raiden when I saw him in Metal Gear Solid 4, (MGS2 ISN’T A THING!!) And that was all the way back in 2011! So we’ve been 7 years strong and I’ve loved every moment with him!⭐ - do you have any astrology headcanons for any of your f/os? mbti headcanons?Even though I have many headcannons in this daydreaming head of mine, I can't say I have any based off of astrology for my lovelies!

Do you have a favorite evil aelita headcannon?
you mean this one?
or in general?
in general I haven’t honestly thought about much outside of IWRY when it comes to code lyoko in a while, i’ve been encapsulated with IWRY due to like, you know, working too much and having very little time for anything else (quietly slides digimon story cyber sleuth under the couch) and as far as general goes, what i did in IWRY with xanalita pretty much shows what i like about evil aelitas–i like to see the duality.
it would be interesting more, to see Xanalita pick up where she started–after taunting aelita about being the real first artificial, intelligent life, to have it go further and continue to try and enrage/mentally torment aelita. perhaps even manipulation, to get aelita to be on its side even for just a second. so you know, that one scene with xana and william from evolution which was probably one of the better scenes and oh god am i referring to a william scene in evolution as a better reference ME, the BREZIFUS?
i prefer this kind of brutally direct mental invasion rather than the possessed aelitas that we got in canon code lyoko where aelita later had post-possession regrets that i honestly don’t remember much about. there’s not much about a blame game you can throw around with that; she was possessed and bad things happened, ergo regret. there’s not…a whole lot of dynamics going on there. sure you could up the angst level past what they had in the show and really delve into how sorry aelita felt about the possession, but in the end all that feels like to me is a pity party, if poorly written, and/or it sloughs off other characters because aelita becomes the main focus and priority. not that aelita isn’t important, but it’s akin to the teenage mutant ninja turtles consisting only of leonardo and raphael whenever those two get into a fight, shoving mikey and donatello off to the side as comedy relief/relief from the AAAANGST
with a more direct invasion like this you get the power play between xana the manipulator and the victim trying to fight back, you get their friends trying to act as pillars of support, and if things get desperate you can see personality traits really shine, for example what if one friend burst into tears trying to keep their friend from falling to xana’s manipulation without the cheap tactic of possession (THERE I SAID IT), what if another friend just absolutely started saying 95% swear words and their sentences thus become incomprehensible, what if another friend just went fuck it and screamed “FINE WE DON’T NEED YOU ANYWAYS” and storms off–there’s so much more inclusive dynamics that could be played off if the evil aelita was a manipulative xana instead of a possessed aelita
this is probably nothing at all what you were looking for but if you want to send another message clarifying or if you want me to actually ramble about IWRY-Xanalita and her role amongst the clone attacks go ahead, i’ll probably be awake for a while

This is gonna sound like a stretchy headcanon, but is anyone here familiar with Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics?
I have a XANA headcannon that revolves around this concept. Franz Hopper originally had these laws incorporated into XANA in the early stages of development, since XANA was originally meant for signal interference and not necessarily human destruction. However, as time went on, something/someone started fucking with XANA’s files, thus the Three Laws XANA had on him were either deleted or corrupted beyond all reason.
I know the three laws are non-negotiable, but wouldn’t it be fucked up if XANA created a scenario where it felt justified in breaking those three laws? Idk...

Does it Hold up? Does it Matter?
8/3/17
Greetings from Lyoko, Ramona, It’s Rose and this time I got some questions for ya ;)
Does it holdup? Does it matter?
I recently got back into one of my favorite childhood shows, Code Lyoko. The original run has 4 seasons of mixed 2D and 3D graphics (There is another series called Code Lyoko Evolution that’s supposed to be a follow up but it isn’t part of my personal headcannon as far as the show is concerned, nor does it matter much for this first question). I was discussing this fun-filled nostalgia romp with one of my friends online and he had mentioned that the 3D modeling in the Lyoko world didn’t hold up anymore, it just didn’t look good, we could create so much better (as evidence in the Evolution series). So the question of the actual models holding up, I’d say no, they are clearly old and dated and maybe something you’d find a Youtuber creating but probably not a big budget studio like that working on Code Lyoko. And yet to me, the 3D Lyoko world still holds charm, it’s the world I remember watching as a kid, and while the models aren’t anything impressive anymore, they’re still charming, and they still work inside this world, at least I think so, again I could just be clouded by nostalgia. But like I mentioned it’s not horrible to watch or anything, I’m not cringing the entire time the team is in Lyoko, it’s just obviously dated to me. If you’re familiar with the show Ramona I’m curious as to see how you feel. Can you still watch the old the stuff and not be so bothered by the old looking 3D CGI? Or better yet would you be new to the show and does its dated design affect your viewing pleasure of the show?
This kind of brings me to the second question. Does it matter? For the most part I will watch a show/movie for the characters and the story or ideas. So, to me this slightly aged style doesn’t do much to tarnish my enjoyment of the show, this is kind of where Evolution comes up. Evolution keeps the 3D CGI, but replaces the great 2D animation with live action actors. Now the live action actors don’t necessarily do a bad job, nor is the show particularly horrible on its own, though knowing what its replacing it becomes hard to watch, it’s just not the same, not as good, it’s pure nostalgia fodder it seems because of how much better the old style of the show was, and how nicely it ended its story. So to me does it matter? No, it doesn’t. But again, this could be because I know the show and already fell in love with it as a kid. So how big of a role does Nostalgia play in how much an aged show matters to a person? Because the same friend who mentioned this topic also introduced me to a show called Zixx which, like Evolution, mixes live-action with a 3D virtual world, yet I would say it holds up far less than Code Lyoko does. The graphics are even worse and the transition to them from the live action style doesn’t work at all (which may also be Evolution’s problem).
I think all in all I love the old Code Lyoko, and I would have barely noticed how simple the Graphics of the time were had they not been mentioned to me, so personally it doesn’t matter that the graphics don’t hold up, the stories still do, the characters still do, and the charm is still there. Would I prefer the 2D geometric-like style of the old cartoon and the new CGI of Evolution? Of course, that would be perfect, but I’ll take what I can get.
I’m curious of course what you think of all this Ramona. Have you seen Code Lyoko? Do you feel the same way I do or could you no longer watch it? Have you heard of Evolution or Zixx? What do you think of Nostalgia’s role in all this or the shift from real-life to the 3D style? How much does dating the show matter?
One last proposition, if you have not heard of the show, please watch an episode of the old season (Readily available on Youtube) and write down what you think, and then one of Evolution (Same deal) and repeat. You don’t have to of course but if you had free time I’d love to get your input.
-With Love from your friend, Rose

Sissi and Laura -- the Same kind of Weird Besties
And this is my final post for my Code Lyoko friendship pairs series! The idea of pairing Sissi and Laura wasn't there in my mind initially, but as I got around to writing Aelita's and William's, I thought, "Why not Sissi and Laura?"
I hope you enjoy!
PS - I wasn't able to find pictures of Laura and Sissi because they literally have no interactions in the show, and I didn't want to use others' images, so you can google up images to look at while you read this, I guess.
Meanwhile, here are my other links!
Code Lyoko Masterlist
Friendship Headcannons for:
- Odd and Yumi-
Aelita and William-
Jeremie and Ulrich
Also check out Headcannons - Code Lyoko since I may use content about Sissi and Laura from those batch of headcannons for this!
(Note -- if links are not accessible, navigate to my blog to find my main masterlist from where you can navigate through everything!)
~
Sissi and Laura are very different people on the surface -- or so we think.
Listen! Both Sissi and Laura wanted to be a part of the Lyoko gang.
Both of them had an affinity and a rivalry with two members of the group (Sissi has an affinity for Ulrich and thus rivals with Yumi, and with Laura, its Jeremie ad Aelita).
Though I think Laura is bi with a greater romantic attraction towards those who identify as female (these are just my thoughts).
So, in evolution, Sissi is portrayed as a blonde. I fully stand by this, though I think its more likely that she dyed her hair for fun, rather than permanently.
In between where the original series stopped and when evolution began, Sissi must've had a maturing phase, where, after hanging out with the group like a normal person, she grew out of her insecurities regarding Ulrich and grew into her own person.
I think part of that growth was the need for a makeover, so she dyed her hair blonde and gave herself a new look.
And doesn't really pester the others as much anymore.
I also think that after the Lyoko intrigue faded away, and after the first time they shut down the Supercomputer and after Sissi kinda sorta hung out with the gang, she realized they weren't as cool as she thought they'd be (something like how you think a certain state of life is greater than it actually is, but when you get to it, you're bored) and that's when she sorta grew into her own person.
Now, Laura is highly intelligent and she figured out a way to specifically exclude herself from the Return to the Past program. Remember, Jeremie had to literally cut-copy-paste whatever program Franz Hopper had written down in the supercomputer to execute it, and Laura figured out how to modify the damn program with just a few minutes (max two hours) of system time!
But Laura lacks in empathy and emotional intelligence sometimes (somewhat similar to Sissi), because she has always just wanted to be included in something.
Push comes to shove, and evolution happens, and Laura is kicked out of the group because Jeremie and Aelita figured out how to make Return to the Past work for Laura again.
You would think that's how Sissi and Laura become friends, but nope.
Sissi would have already seen Laura for who she was -- someone who used to be exactly like her -- while she was slightly integrated into the group.
I think she'd have a soft pity-laugh to herself, because she understands that the Lyoko warriors are always exclusive to each other, and trying to mesh into that is tiring. You always get pushed out anyway.
But obviously, the real Return to the Past happens, and even Sissi forgets she was feeling those feelings for her.
However, Laura's memories would be really really altered and she'd have some time figuring out whether she was hallucinating or having deja vu with the gang, you know? You can't tell me that a Return to the Past specifically catered to erasing Laura's memories can't have specific side-effects for her.
I think she might end up at the infirmary for something while Sissi also happens to be there.
Then Sissi opens up about how she'd always try to find out more about the gang, only for it to be totally stupid stuff. And once she actually got to know them, she figured out that they were an acquired taste.
Sissi: Headache?
Laura: Kinda, yeah. I've been having a lot of migraines lately.
Sissi: Weren't you with Jeremy and his friends?
Laura: Belpois? It's... actually weird. I haven't spoken to them too much, but I feel like I already know them, though I can't quite seem to put it into words. It's weird.
Sissi: Oh yeah. I get that vibe from them too. Most of the time. Ulrich's like that, you know -- some days I feel like he and I have something unsaid in our friendship, and the next day, he's a total mystery.
Laura: Strange.
Sissi: Very strange.
They definitely bond over their weird dislike over the Lyoko gang.
Sissi: It all started even before, but it intensified after Odd's cousin Aelita showed up.
Laura: The one with the pink hair? I think she's kinda cute Laura is definitely bi and I think she definitely thinks Aelita is cute.
Sissi: Please, there are a few unwritten rules at Kadic. One, I'm the best. Two, every girl goes through Della Robbia at some point. Three, Jim would rather not talk about anything that happened to him before Kadic, and Four, Jeremie and Aelita are meant to be. Heck, I don't even like them that much but I never mess with either one or the other goes feral.
They're the kind of besties who bond over bitching.
Laura: You used to like Stern? He's not even that attractive!
Sissi: You have to admit, he's a little cute.
Laura: No. If anyone's good-looking there, it's Dunbar.
Sissi: The pretend-emo who's eternally in love with Ishiyama? Seriously?
Laura: He's tall!
Sissi brings out Laura's inner petty-feminine energy (in a good way) and Laura helps ground Sissi sometimes.
So even though they never saw each other coming, they became the unlikeliest of best friends because they just get each other.
Laura: We should form our own gang.
Sissi: No, they're all too dumb for me and too normal for you.
Laura: You realize you just classified yourself as not normal?
Sissi: Of course! I'm extraordinary.
Laura: *laugh* You have a point.
Sissi: AND smart! See, Laura, we lucked out and now we're best friends.
Laura: We're best friends? How sweet of you.
Sissi: Yeah, I think we're the same kind of weird.
Bonus:
Odd: Who would've thought Sissi and Laura would end up best buds?
Jeremie: Yeah, it's a bit shocking.
Aelita: I think it's nice. It's definitely poetic.
Ulrich: I can see that, kind of. Sissi was obsessed with me, Laura was obsessed with Jeremie. I think they just need someone obsessed with Odd for a trio. And probably someone obsessed with William too, though I can't think of any reason why.
William: I thought we're friends now, Ulrich?
Ulrich: I mean, mad respect for you, but rivalry is kind of our thing.
Yumi: Thank god you aren't incharge of maturity in this group.
Ulrich: Of course. That's all Odd.

Added headcannon time
Adding onto this headcannon a bit.
Considering how Aelita was about four or five years old when Anthea was taken away, the child would have been about seven or eight years old when Franz and Aelita went to Lyoko, in which Aelita was twelve at that time.
After ten years in the Supercomputer, Aelita's age mentally is twenty-two. As for the child's age, this would mean that he/she would be about seventeen or eighteen.
EDIT: The child would have actually been 9, when Aelita was sent to Lyoko. For present day, it would be 19.
Thanks to lyokostechmaster for pointing that out.
