“So not as much of a rule follower as you pretend to be, are you?” Jason said one night, purposely trying to sound more curious than mocking, as if he wanted to keep the peace just as much as Tim did. They hadn’t yet talked about what had happened that first encounter, but it seemed like they would tonight.

Tim snorted out a laugh. “I used to sneak out and follow Batman around on his patrols. I blackmailed him into making me Robin. What part of any of this spelled out ‘rule follower’ to you?”  

Jason laughed, but the sound trailed off into silence.

“You know, I never apologized,” Jason said after a while. “When I came back, my head was all fucked, and then Talia was there telling me everything was all your fault. But you didn’t deserve all that. Sorry.”

“Thanks,” Tim said, a genuine smile spreading across his face. “You know, you were my Robin, growing up. My hero. And so yeah, it hurt, the whole tower thing – more than just getting the shit beaten out of me, anyway,” Tim added with a wry look.

“But I understood, too. You were basically driven insane by the pit – ”

“Still am, too,” Jason interrupted to say.

Tim glared and continued. “I knew you weren’t fully in control of your actions. So, I forgave you. Plus, it’s not like I haven’t done worse to anyone – though I did it to the people who deserved it.”

“How’d you even end up killing someone, anyway?” Jason asked.

Tim grinned and adopted a storytelling tone. “I was ten - ”

Beside him, Jason spluttered in shock. “That is not how you start a murder recount. Holy shit, really?”

Tim playfully glared at the man across from him. “Yes, now quiet. I was ten, and I followed you and Batman into Crime Alley.”

“Fuck.”

“Do you want to hear this or not?” Tim asked.

5. do they have pets?

yes!! they don’t have children themselves (they’re the Cool Aunts to max, sekou and jo’s kids), but they adopt a cat when they’re older and more stable and he becomes their son. maybe he faced trauma as a kitten? or is very scarred and ‘ugly’? and nobody at the shelter wants him and they’re both like “🥺🥺 that’s the one”. they let him sleep between them, and he either has the most poetic name ever (named after a philosopher or something space related, you get the gist) or the objective worst (like, idk...Captain CocoPops? but worse)

6. how do they celebrate holidays?

in quiet, lowkey ways!! when they’re older and live together they’ll throw small parties. for this christmas, i think lola had lunch with thierry and daphné, and maya went out early to help with some volunteer soup kitchen for the homeless before having lunch with max’s family. they either met up that night, walking around paris and looking at christmas lights and sharing a hot chocolate, or didn’t see each other at all but spent a few hours on mobile skype together anyways. maybe they wake up the next day to realize they fell asleep listening to the other’s breathing :’)

10. what do they do when the other is away?

i mean they literally started their relationship by being separated for 4 months so i think any small amount of time apart post-rehab is not as hard as expected because they’ve done that. there’s a lot of pining they get teased for, lots of good morning texts (with a ridiculous amount of exclamation points) and secret notes left in luggage bags. longer time apart is difficult, but they’re committed to making it work. also read the second part of this fic series where maya moves to lyon for work and they deal with that !!

1.How many pets do you own? One: my 3 year old German Shepherd/Lab mix named Princess Leia.  2. What’s your least favorite season? I despise summer. 3. Do you prefer to text or call? Text. Don’t do much of that either, but definitely prefer that over talking on the phone. 4. Morning or night? Night. 5. Do you like tacos? I’m not as into them anymore. I’ve also tried bean ice cream, which was also very disgusting. 37. Do you like math? Nooooo. 38. Are you the type of person to laugh at others misfortune? Wow, absolutely not. There’s nothing amusing about other people’s hardships. 39. Love or lust? Love. 40. Do you remember lyrics easily? Yeah. 41. What was/is your favorite school subject? English. And obviously psychology once I got to college, which is what I majored in. 42: Do you like tattoos? I don’t mind them. I’m not a big fan of a lot of tattoos, though. 43. Are you the type of person to lie? I’m not a compulsive liar, but I do lie sometimes. It’s usually to downplay something or avoid something. 44. Do you eat porridge for breakfast? I do love a good bowl of oatmeal. I haven’t had any in a long time, though. 45. What music are you listening to right now? I’m not. I’m listening to an ASMR video. 46. Are you allergic to anything? metahuman batfam aus are cool and all, but i rlly need a fic where their powers go crazy around duke (bc he has the ability to amplify others powers if they r close to him) and for the other members of the batfam to find out that they are a metahuman bc of this.

Dog Lovers Show Day 1. First day of the show was amazing! My highlight of the day was seeing people stop in their tracks and smile as they discovered my pop art puppies. It feels so good to make people happy with my bright and colourful portraits. ~ We are in the best position upstairs above the main stage with an excellent view of the show. And right in the thoroughfare to the adoption zone so there was a parade of puppies going past all day! ~ Not really knowing what to expect I was quite nervous at the start of the day, as people started to make their way upstairs to my art. But I didn’t have to be nervous, I’m so humbled by all the compliments of my art and interest in all the dogs in my display. ~ One lovely lady even took a selfie with @abbythebosti she loved the painting so much! Insta pooches Sumo and Cocopops from @operation_sumo stopped by to say hello and many more pups and pet lovers came by to chat. ~ There will be some lucky mums who will be getting one of my dog mum cards next Sunday too, there’s still some left if you want one tomorrow. ~ Being on day 2! Day 13 | 14.06.17

ROME, ITALY

- didn’t get up as early as would have liked but just after 7 is still pretty good considering how tired I am. I’m looking forward to spending a longer amount of time in Florence so that I can get some more sleep, have some chill out time and do some washing! Breakfast was on time today and I had cocopops again and 2 pastries which really I shouldn’t have but they were there and I try to eat as much of the included food as possible. I definitely don’t think I will be able to keep up the whole pastries for breakfast thing, I miss marmite.

- I took the bus to to Trastevere because I wanted to have a look around the area but once there I realised I had no idea where to go or what to see. I just started walking up hill to a fountain marked on the map and then hopefully on to a view point that the hostel had recommended. I took a wrong turn (of course) and ended up wandering around for the next hour or more in a park with absolutely no clue where I was or how to get where I wanted to go. Google maps didn’t help me because I hadn’t loaded it before I left and the paper map wasn’t any help because it cut off where I guessed I was. I just about had a meltdown because I was so lost and was wasting the morning when I had so much to see on my last full day.

- I turned around and walked the entire way back that I had come from to try and get my bearing again and figure out the correct road to take. On my way I stopped and watched a children’s party - not creepy - they just looked like they were having so much fun. I made my way back to the fountain, figured out a plan and started going in the right direction.

- At the view point I bought a slushy because I was so hot, but it was so syrupy that it wasn’t really worth it. I found a view of part of the Vatican (Just the top of the basilica and the vatican radio tower, though I wish I had time to find a better view point of it. I found my way down the hill and crossed the river along to Castel Sant Angelo which was so so cool to see and I really did feel like I was in Angels and Demons. I would have loved to have gone it if I had more time or could be bothered waiting in the sun. I walked back across the river, got an iced coffee and caught the bus back to the hostel so I could cool down and rest my feet. 

- Heading back out, I took the sweatiest bus ride of my life. I was the filling in a sweaty stinky man sandwich, it was honestly foul. I found my way to the Pantheon which was another sight that was a must see, but didn’t realise that I had to have covered shoulders (apparently it’s a new thing) so I had to go buy a crappy stinky one for 6 euro, so the free Pantheon ended up costing my the 6 euro. At least now I can just shove that thin  scarf into my bag and carry it every where in case I want to pop in to any churches. Going in was worth it, it was amazing to see the tombs and the chapels.

- I then went to Piazza Novana and then to Campo di Fiore. I got quite lost around there too, with lots of little alley ways and piazzas. I wish I had stopped for aperitivo (buy a drink, access to platters, entrees etc). I eventually found/ stumbled upon Arco deli Acetari, which is a tiny dead end alley that lots of people seem to instagram. It is quite pretty but not as great as I had expected, I’m sure there are hundreds of pretty little alley ways in Rome. I got the bus to Piazza Venezia and had a little walk around, as there are quite a lot of roman ruins in this area. I went up the million stairs at Altare della Patria, which is a huge memorial to a soldier and just enjoyed the view over the piazza, but then moved on to have a look at the Imperial Forum and Roman Forum, with a view straight down the street to the Colosseum. 

- By this point, my feet were starting to kill, as they do every single damn day (will they ever not hurt) so I went to go catch the bus back to the hostel. On the way I got a lemon gelato and was stuck in line behind a school group, and then everyone else was served before me even if I had been there first which was flicking annoying when I was hot and getting hangry. I eventually got my gelato, ate it in 30 seconds flat and waited for my bus. And waited. And waited. the bus is supposed to come every 5 minutes but I waited for over half an hour. The old man next to me got too frustrated and left to walk, and I felt sorry for him. One bus eventually came and it was a cramped, sweaty ride back to the hostel to settle in for the night.

- Writing every night and posting all of the photos is getting hard because by the end of the day I just want to go to bed. I’ll try to continue staying up to date.

okay so I posted a couple excerpts from the fic im (slowly) writing but this is the main concept of it:

a young justice core four fic where they r stuck in a pocket dimension slowly running out of supplies etc.

And Tim is making these video reports. Over the course of the story, they change from status reports about the ship, situation, and supplies to Tim starting to realise that they might not make it out of there alive, getting more desperate as it goes on. he fills them with everything he didn't get to say, all the things that he never said to the bats that he should have. (they would get saved and then Bruce would watch them ofc)

and Bart would be the first to pass out bc of his speedster metabolism. Kon would be weakened, slowly at first bc of the lack of sunlight, but he also tries not to eat much food (Cassie does too) and so he moves less and less, and eventually gets rlly weak. Tim soldiers thru it, pretending he's fine till the point when he collapses. He wakes up the first time, but he's weaker.

And Cassie, who has her powers to keep her healthiest out of all of them. She has to stay and watch as all her teammates slowly succumb and pass out from the lack of foods etc. while trying desperately to save them. Has to put on a brave face and assure them that she will make sure they make it even tho she herself is beginning to believe that less and less each day.
