Cockneys vs Zombies may be an inelegant title but it’s a funny sweet movie that ends up a better zombie heist movie than Army of the Dead or Heist of the Dead.

SUMMARY: A group of robbers led by Terry plan a bank heist. Although their heist is successful, their escape plans go awry as they find themselves battling a swarm of zombies who have infected the city.
Many of the reviews state that this film delivers on exactly what the title promises, so if that's what you're after, it sounds pretty good. That being said, this isn't quite what the mod is looking to add to the watchlist (at least for the moment).

What is a movie you like that you feel is not super well known? What do you like about it?
There's an older like 1960s movie called the Russians are coming. It's a comedy but also emotional. I liked the comedy and the happy ending (and Alexei and Alison).
*Asks are sent for fun, no pressure to answer within a certain amount of time or at all.*
Cockneys Vs Zombies. It’s as ridiculous as it sounds and it fuckin rules

My Halloween Movie Watch List
Sometimes, choosing a movie for Halloween night is a struggle. When that happens, I rely on a random number generator. I set it to pick a number between 1 and 90 (or 100 if my list was longer), and whichever it lands on decides the movie for the night. Or if I’m not watching alone, I just ask a friend or family member to pick a number.
There’s a nice mix here—some films are spooky, while others are lighthearted, funny, and just plain fun. The random pick keeps things exciting, and each one on this list is a movie I know I'll be happy to watch.
Note: Some movies share the same name due to remakes or adaptations. When I can’t decide which version to watch, I just flip a coin.

So a lot of aspiring authors including me are scared about writing or publishing our works because
We feel its not going to be good, noones going to read it or everyone is going to hate it.
Scared because it might be seen as too similar or we've copied someone's else's work.
Well first of all, likeness is subjective. Not everyone is going to love it but not everyone is going to hate it. Typical "bad" stories like 50 Shades of Grey still have a huge fan following.
In terms of copying. Nothing is original any more. EVERYTHING IS COPIED. As Austin Kleon writes "Nothing is original" "All creative works build on what came before"
But allow me to give an example.
Let's say you want to write a story about zombies?
Pick your first inspiration. Let's say it's The Walking Dead. Pick your idea to steal. Let's say it's going to be Negan and his group and through this 'steal' you create a similar group of depraved individuals.
That's steal 1.
Pick your 2nd inspiration. Let's say it's All of Us Are Dead. Let's say you want it set in a high school.
That's steal 2.
Pick your 3rd inspiration. Z-Nation. Let's say it's going to be all the mutated types of zombie.
That's steal 3.
Pick your 4th inspiration. Let's say it's Cockneys vs Zombies and you want the group rescuing their grandparents from their care home.
That's steal 4.
Pick your 5th inspiration. Let's say it's Train to Busan. The idea of the group trapped on a train filled with zombies.
That's steal 5.
Pick your 6th inspiration. Let's say it's Dawn of the Dead and you like the idea of a heavily pregnant woman getting infected, she becomes sick and then gives birth.
That's steal 6.
Combine them all together and make a rough premise.
A bunch of high schoolers in the middle of a zombie apocalypse set out to rescue their grandparents from their care home battling a depraved lawless group and mutant zombies along the way. Eventually making it out of the school and stealing a train, they race across the city taking in a pregnant woman who draws suspicion.
See here. You've stolen ideas from different media's but through doing that you've created a story entirely different from the media you've referenced.
In summary, steal what you love and accept whilst not everyone will love your work, it will appeal to someone.
Reblog to help a writer's anxiety....

Director Matthias Hoene talks Little Bone Lodge (The FH Interview)
German director Matthias Hoene may be best known for his crossover offerings, such as the comedic horror Cockneys vs Zombies and fantasy action thriller The Warriors Gate. But in his latest film, Little Bone Lodge, Hoene discards his weird and wonderful flair for something much darker and truly terrifying that explores the horrors people will commit in the name of family. like, I watched Peacemaker, The Suicide Squad, & Zombieland 2 yesterday, & some of my favourites are Airplane & Cockneys vs Zombies, I loved The Boys, problematic media is my jam, so the likelihood anyone is surprised I can look past the issues in this is pretty low anyway, but watching media critically =/= pretending everything that's problematic has no redeeming qualities & just absolutely no value as a piece of media, it means not pretending issues don't exist & not acting like all things you like are perfect.
watched Renfield, it's so funny, lowkey anti-npd stuff but it's an abuse victims anonymous church group using the language it's common for those to use, so I read it as that, rather than saying necessarily that all narcissists are abusers (it doesn't say that, it repeatedly calls dracula or a few other abusers narcissists, like I meant it when I said it was pretty lowkey stuff, but still), besides vampire fights and blood n' guts honestly makes up for all that.
