The End of Days Matt Elliot (Ici D'ailleurs) (released in 2023, French import)
My first Matt Elliott album was a boxed set titled Songs, a four disc set which I am totally besotted by. I began playing Drinking Songs, the first album in the set in July and I continued playing it in August and then I keep playing it this month. But I'm also playing the second disc, Failing Songs, this month. I find the man's music to be harrowing, depressing and incredible. There is so much happening within the music that it is easy to misjudge it. I've also begun playing his most recent album this month. That album is what you see above: the album cover, followed by the gatefold and then the back of the album.
Below you can see the album cover sans the hype sticker followed by the digipak opened up to reveal the entirety of the shot.

This is what the hype sticker looks like up close. Not that you couldn't read it in the first shot, but here it is just the same.

The next shot reveals the inside of the booklet which comes with the CD. I only took one shot of the inside, but I opted for the credits.

The next shot shows you what the CD looks like.

And just because I'm feeling a bit mean spirited, below is what the CD will look like if someone on discogs shoots the photo. Cockedeyed and everything!

Actually I posted the photo of the CD (that is above this discogs version) on the proper page on the actual discogs website!

Tokyo Run from Woob on Vimeo.
UPDATE 2 - Now a full-length album inspired by the film woob.bandcamp.com/album/tokyo-run
UPDATE -This film is now showing in Virtual Reality Wraparound theatre details wp.me/pyzET-1yx
Set in the future this 90 second film depicts a disjointed, realtime computer simulation of one individuals attempt to access the ‘Mainframe’.
The micro-length animation is a companion piece to the forthcoming short Return to the City. Although the two story-lines are self contained both films are part of the Paradigm Flux universe and lay down the foundations for the main story.
The film is designed for repeated viewings and contains more to it than may first appear. Full details can be found in this post - wp.me/pyzET-15d
Thanks to Samuel Cockedey for letting me loose - once again on his amazing time-lapse photography. samuelcockedey.com

Process.
Tokyo Run features the time-lapse photography of Samuel Cockedey and the design, animation and audio of Paul Frankland (Woob). Although the ‘Run’ is based in a futuristic ‘old Tokyo’ It uses buildings and images from 3 major cities around the world. The simple animation was created in Cinema 4d then projected and filmed off a variety of different surfaces to roughen it up and to contrast against the slick-ness of the Time-lapse. Most of the sound design was created using everyday objects, other more musical effects were created by chopping up and processing the original 24bit files contained on the real version of the keycard depicted in the film. wp.me/pyzET-16H More information on Samuels time-lapse creation process can be found here: season9.wordpress.com/2010/08/06/floating-point-an-interview-with-samuel-cockedey/
