Creo que conté esta historia un par de veces pero una de las primeras veces que fui a Buenos Aires era cuando tenía 13 o 14 no me acuerdo, y justo era día del trabajador primero de mayo. Estábamos con mi vieja en el subte (un tren que va bajo la tierra, re locos estos porteños) y le estaba tratando de guiar a donde teníamos que ir.

Cuestión es que paramos en la Plaza de Mayo en medio de la marcha por el día del trabajador con banderas rojas y de los sindicatos y la CGT por todos lados. Le digo a mamá "mirá ahí está el cabildo" mientras tratábamos de esquivar la marcha (que creo que ya se estaba dispersando)

Cuando nos vamos por otra calle, había un tipo de barba y rulos largos, el estereotipo de estudiante zurdo más estereotipo que te puedas imaginar, comprando una Coca Cola en un kiosco, y tenía una remera roja con letras grades que decía TЯOTSKY, así como lo escribí. Siempre me acuerdo de eso, fue tan gracioso.

Splatfest Concepts!

Hey everyone! After the announcement of the Money v Fame v Love splatfest, I've been thinking about new splatfest themes that we could possibly get (along with some joke ones I've made that could be used for custom splatfests!). Anywho, here's some of my splatfest ideas (I may or may not do artwork for these)!

CorruptFest: Sanitization v Mammalification v [insert corruption type in Side Order here] (we don't know how Side Order's enemies could possibly be corrupted like yet at the time of me writing this). All players' cosmetics will be altered during this splatfest to whatever corruption type they've chosen and their ink will match that of their corruption of choice. To promote this splatfest, all players will recieve the octoling gear from all 3 games! This splatfest would happen sometime after Side Order's release, sort of like how we got Squid v Octopus sometime after Octo Expansion.

Plaza Fest: Splatsville Plaza v Inkopolis Plaza v Inkopolis Square. Splatsville Plaza members will have yellow ink, Inkopolis Plaza with orange ink, and Inkopolis Square with pink ink.

Coca-Cola Collab: Coke v Sprite v Fanta. Coke members will have red ink, Sprite will have green ink, and Fanta will have orange ink.

Battle of the 2000s Consoles: GameCube v DS v Wii. GameCube members will have GameCube purple ink, DS will have light gray ink, and Wii will have bright light blue ink.

Battle of the Bands: Squid Sisters v Off the Hook v Deep Cut. Squid Sisters members will have green ink (matching Marie's since her team won S1's final fest), OTH with pink ink (matching Pearl's since her team won S2's "final" fest) (I put final in quotation because of the rerun fests and Mario splatfest), and Deep cut will have purple/blue ink (matching Shiver's just to have some more color variation).

Final Splatfest: Past v Present v Future. Past members will recive tan ink with hints of bronze (like old photographs), present will recieve metalic gray ink (matching iron used in modern infastructure), and future will recieve white, pearlescent ink with hints of blue in it (matching past depictions of the future). All players will recieve the Chaos v Order gear from S2 (since we only got final fest exclusive gear in that game), alongside new pieces of gear for this splatfest specifically. Winner of this splatfest will determine the asthetic of the next game, along with weapon types. If past wins we'll recieve more of a 90s/2000s asthetic, if present wins the next game will have an asthetic similar to the past 3 games, and if future wins we'll have a more futuristic, pehaps even cyberpunk asthetic.

Lost Childrens' Programming Fest: Candle Cove v Gregory's Room v Welcome Home. Candle Cove members will have a blue ink color with some white in it (resembling waves), Gregory's Room will have bright green ink (resembling Gregory's shirt), and Welcome Home will recieve red ink (matching Home)

Minecraft Collab: Villagers v Pillagers v Witches. Villager members will have green ink (like villager eyes), pillager members will have dark gray ink (matching their color scheme), and witch members will recieve purple ink.

Proxy Fest: Hoodie v Masky v Ticci Toby. Hoodie members will have yellow ink, Masky with white ink, and Toby members with orange ink.

La manipulación de masas

La verdad es que estoy cansada de que me denuncien cada comentario que hago en Tik Tok. Y la empresa china me lo descarta. Uno fue sobre los autos voladores tipo drones, que vuelan sobre la ciudad. Son realmente peligrosos, debido a que los pájaros se pueden atravesar en las hélices y caer. Y no solo morirían los que van dentro de ese taxi volador, sino también los transeúntes que caminan por debajo. Y es un comentario para nada ofensivo. No dije malas palabras ni ataqué verbalmente a nadie. Y pienso que la libertad debe estar algo controlada, porque los extremos perjudican a otros. Sin embargo, estas cuestiones te confirman que no existe la libertad de la que tanto hablan. Lo que impera es una ideología de masas, en donde si no encajas, serás excluído. Y ahora nos quieren hacer creer que la China es un país modelo o que Cuba es el ejemplo del mundo. No obstante, cualquier opinión que se dé en contra de un pensamiento único, predicado por una mayoría, es eliminado.

Yo percibo que en el mundo, todo lo globalizado y lo del montón es perjudicial, así como lo es la China. Por supuesto, este es mi espacio y puedo decir lo que quiera. Por supuesto, con ciertas limitaciones. Por eso, bajo esa premisa, empecé a observar lo que se encuentra escondido por las masas dictadoras que silencian cualquier opinión contraria, como la mía, sobre los autos voladores en la China. Y es muy difícil encontrar lo que la mayoría no promociona. Si vamos en pos del montón, nos envenenarémonos con Coca Cola o Mc'Donalds y su comida chatarra. Es una tarea ardua no seguir a la manada, que va unida hacia el matadero. Todas juntas se apresuran al precipicio y yo no quiero caer. 

Uno de los países silenciados por el mundo es Corea del Sur. Y por eso empecé a interesarme en especial en su cultura. En cuanto a los supermercados, nada escuchaba de Diarco y es muy barato. Solo una profesora en Letras me habló de ese lugar. Y ahora compro ahí. De las universidades públicas, el montón promociona la UBA o la UNA y ahora estudio en UNIPE, que pocos la conocen. 

Hay una manipulación de masas y ese será el título de mi redacción diaria. Pero encontrar lo que las masas esconden de manera intencional es complicadísimo. Sí escucho lo que a ellos les gusta, como Netflix, que no uso; Mercado Libre o Amazon, en donde jamás compro; supermercados Día o Carrefour, que ya nunca voy; también los supermercados chinos, que hace un mes no piso; las Madres de Plaza de Mayo, que ni las escucho; las sectas, millones, etc., termino metiéndome en sus embudos de discriminación de las minorías.

Se disolvió el grupo de coreano. Y muchas defienden a una profesora de veintiún años que no sabe ni el alfabeto. Es insólito, como si yo tuviera algo en contra de la profesión de la docencia, cuando yo soy profesora. Yo no hago obras de caridad pagando por alguien que no sabe. Aprendo más en Tik Tok o en YouTube. 

Para resumir, creo fervientemente que en el mundo hay una porción de personas, muy pequeña, que las mayorías la demonizan y que la silencian, para que nadie sepa de ella. En una palabra, la manipulación de masas hace su trabajo de hormigas. A mí me denunció un comentario, porque ahora quieren presentar a la China como el modelo del mundo. ¡Que Dios me ampare!

Ahora mismo, y desde hace más de una década, vivir en México es como una paradoja. El próximo 1 de mayo se cumplirán 10 años del derribo de un helicóptero del ejército por miembros del Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), emboscada que el Gobierno de Enrique Peña Nieto calificó de “inédita en la historia del país”. Nunca antes un cartel mexicano se había atrevido a valerse de una granada propulsada por cohetes, como los que se usan en conflictos bélicos que suenan lejanos a nuestra realidad, para fulminar una aeronave militar con víctimas mortales; seis meses más tarde en un municipio de Querétaro fue detenido El Cebollón, de nombre Martín Navarro, por haber disparado tal arma.

Tratar de entender la lógica bajo la cual opera esta organización puede resultar chocante. El narco es el quinto empleador de México, con entre 160 mil y 185 mil personas en sus filas. Conclusiones de un estudio del Complexity Science Hub de Viena publicado por la revista Science en 2023. De nuevo. La quinta “empresa” con más personal en el país, por encima de Pemex, Bimbo, Coppel y Oxxo y solo superado por FEMSA (embotelladora de Coca Cola), Walmart, Manpower y América Móvil. My Three W's in Georgia

Pregame: 

The afternoon of New Years Eve, I listened to Everybody Gets a Trophy podcast during my final couple hours of work. The hosts, Paul and Randy, spoke confidently for an hour or so about all the ways our Longhorns would beat the Arizona State Sun Devils. Superior size on both sides of the line, superior speed on the outside, and finally the Sun Devils yapping all week ensuring that our Horns would come out firing, wanting to silence the brash Sun Devil backfield of Levitt and Skattebo. After listening, I too, was confident and brash about the Horns chances. Forget about covering, give me an alternate line and I’d still bet that!

The thing about my Longhorn fandom though is that it lives within the park boundaries of Cedar Point. Within the fifteen minutes it took for me to drive home and get in the shower I realized I had not witnessed a Longhorn win in person since I graduated in 2011. Crushed by Arkansas in the Texas Bowl, saddened by a loss to Texas Tech during my sister’s last home game as a student, and finally gutted by LSU in 2019. Woof. Tough scene for your boy. Surely, I wasn’t the problem in those games, right? Surely Coaches Strong and Herman were the issue. SARK and Co. would overcome any bad juju I thought I was bringing with me to Atlanta. Plus I got a new Horns shirt for Christmas, to boot. 

The thing about waking up at 6:35 on weekdays is that waking up at 4:35 New Year’s Day is only two hours before your usual wake up, so whatever no big deal you’ll get the game day adrenaline going and be fine. Up at 4:35 out by 4:50. Impressive work. I planned on Deeper Well and Acadia getting me through those first two hours, then by 6:35 I’d be fully awake. After jamming to those albums for a couple of hours, I put on a 90 minute Rusillo podcast, which got me to 8 o’clock, which got me to a breakfast and stretch break. 

A friend of mine with a passion for fast food, generously venmoed me money to help pay for eats to and from Atlanta. His favorite place happens to be the world’s most famous Irish pub, so once the podcast ended I took the Lavonia, GA exit, where a McDonald’s was promised to be waiting for me. With my stomach growling for the first time in 2025, I was greeted with something more glorious than a golden arches as I exited I-85…..

A shining beacon for this Texas ex-pat. There in all its 1950’s retro motif was a giant orange W. The ghosts of Bevo’s past had led me to a Whataburger! I was stunned, as I had no knowledge of any Whataburgers in the land of Coca-Cola and Chick-fil a. I sat there at the light, amazed at my good fortune. Not only excited for the wonderful meal I had ahead of me; I took this as a sign that the Horns were not only going to cover the 13.5 point spread but double it!

A breakfast of Peach Bowl champions no doubt! As I waited for my food, a couple more Horns fans came in to grab a champions breakfast as well. That next hour and a half flew by as I thought of all the best plays of the season, and how the Peach Bowl would be the greatest hits of the 2024 season all rolled up in sixty minutes at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. 

Trying to avoid postgame traffic, I planned to park at the Lindberg (naming a train station after a famous pilot tickled me- lets rename Hartsfield-Jackson after Vanderbilt!), then take the train to the stadium. I came away extremely impressed with MARTA. Right away I knew I made the right decision when I found out the garage would be free. I had no issues buying the most affordable pass for my needs thanks to the friendly employee guiding me through the kiosk. This suburban turned rural boy even got on the right train and exchanged at the right stop. As advertised, the train dropped me off right in front of the Benz Stadium. 

Regulation:

Olympic Century Plaza located right next to Benz stadium didn’t lend itself to tailgating, and neither did the cold windy day, so I headed straight into the stadium. My irrational fear of my ticket not scanning once again flared up as I held my phone under the ticker scanner. Like every other time before, the ticket scanned just fine, and I walked into the behemoth Benz stadium. I had promised Dot and E that I’d pick something for them, and the t-shirt stand greeted me right when I walked in so I knocked that out right away. 

I summited the Benz stadium up to row 332 (ten from the very last row), and hung out for a while, checking in on any pregame info online. On my way to my seat, I noticed the Texas end zone of the stadium had a standing room only area. Realizing that would be a much better angle to watch the game, I decided to head down and watch the game from there. 

I won’t offer a complete breakdown of the game but just a couple plays I got a great angle on because of where I was standing. The payoff from this decision came quickly. Because of a couple of Horns’ penalties, the Sun Devils scored a field goal on their opening drive of the game. On the Horns’ first drive, Ewers threw a deep ball to Golden to set up a touchdown. Having that end zone view, I got to see the route combinations unfold so well and trace Ewers’ parabolic throw right into Golden’s arms. 

Quickly after that, I once again had an eagle eye on a crucial Horns play. Arizona State punted to Silas Bolden who caught it and much like Moses saw the Red Sea part. Watching Bolden make a quick cut, then sprint through the open field at the same time the Longhorn faithful realized the potential of such an open field made me glad I made the trip. The crowd erupted as Bolden sprinted towards me, giving the Horns a 14-3 lead. The route was on. Or not. 

The strongest through line in this Horns season has been our inability to put teams away. A two touchdown win that somehow felt like a nailbiter has been the most common result. This is how you know Texas really is back: fans complaining about how we only won by two touchdowns. A 17-3 lead at half, yet feeling like we played poorly overall felt appropriate for the season long narrative. Honestly, the second and third quarters I’ve forgotten given the excitement of the fourth. Just a series of Horns offensive miscues, and our defense stopping them on fourth down. A couple eating their nachos out of a container in the same shape as the Benz Stadium highlighted the third quarter. Easily the most engineered nacho tray I have seen in my life. 

After an Ewers touchdown scramble, the Horns were up sixteen with ten minutes left in the game. At this point I started feeling good about the chances of a victory. Only two possessions technically, but getting two two-point conversions on top of scoring two touchdowns made me think the game was out of reach at this point. Not so fast my friends. Of course because it’s never easy this is exactly what the Sun Devils did. 

The flea flicker Skattebo threw my brain still does not know how to process. That touchdown happened at my end of the field, and the pass is still fluttering like the feather that starts the closing credits of Forrest Gump. The best way I can understand that completion is that some passes are so bad they’re good. Muhammad, our defensive back, did a full 720 trying to track the ball in the air. As the ball feathered down, the Devil’s receiver ran under it, reminding me of when fans scramble to get under Chick-fil-a gift cards parachuting down from stadium rafters. 

At last, we arrive at the funniest part of the game. With the game tied up, Bert Auburn missed a field goal late to give the ball back to Arizona State to win it. Like they have done all year the Texas defense covered for the offense and stopped the Sun Devils with enough time to again give the Texas offense a chance to win it. Ewers once again moved the offense into field goal range. Six seconds left in the game I turned to the guy standing next to me and asked, “What’s the move? Should we get aggressive and try to get some more yardage knowing Auburn’s struggles or do you just kick it not risking running out of time?” He replied, “The move?! The move was to put in MANNING!” Ahhhhhh yes, the most popular player on the team, the backup quarterback. 

At that moment I vowed to just enjoy the rest of the game, win or lose. I did not want to miss the opportunity to be entertained by such a dramatic fourth quarter and possibly overtime. I thought Ewers played really well already, even before the two overtimes. I didn’t know the outcome of the game, but I did know that putting in a redshirt freshman cold would tilt the win probability arrow down. 

Overtime:

In overtime Ewers continued to deal. The fourth and thirteen touchdown pass to tie the game showed his continued maturation as a quarterback. Freshman Ewers did not have the poise to drive them down the field to even get in field goal range. Sophomore Ewers did not have the leadership or recognition to audible to a cover zero beater. Junior Ewers led them down the field and this time threw a beautiful double move touchdown pass to tie the game. Amazing how Texas went from having to convert a 4th and 13 to keep the game going, to winning just five plays later. 

The second overtime took place at the end zone below me. From where I stood, I could tell two seconds after Jake Majors snapped the ball to Ewers that Helm would be wide open. Ball into the basket of Helm’s hands. Tuddy Texas. Arizona State now had to respond in order to extend the game. Of course, Skatteboo stumbled his way down the field for a thirteen yard gain on their first play. An incomplete pass followed by a short Skattebo run meant Arizona State had two chances to pick up eight yards to keep the game alive. They only ended up getting one.

After getting pressure more than thirty times throughout the game, Leavitt finally threw an interception, not a moment too soon. Right in front of where I stood, Mukuba stretched out in the near corner of the end zone to pick off Leavitt for the first time. Horns win! High fiving strangers, yelling, and jumping commenced. Completely exhausted, yet still having the energy to loudly sing The Eyes of Texas. What a game. Another New Year’s Day W. 

Postgame:

I had one more W in me. The second I took my last bite of Whataburger breakfast I knew I’d be back for dinner. It would either be a victory meal or one full of sadness, but I knew it had to be a Whataburger patty melt either way. Awkwardly some ASU fans stood near the soda fountains as I walked in to order. Avoiding eye contact with them I walked up to the register to order my patty melt (add jalapenos). The patty melt tasted almost as sweet as the victory at Mercedes Benz Stadium, which was a testament to how awesome of a game I witnessed earlier in the day. With a fry in my mouth, I looked into the rearview mirror, seeing the bright glowing W atop my new favorite Georgian restaurant. Waking up, I hoped for just one w in the New Year, but went to bed with three. Hook’em!

Diría que este pudo haber Sido un día algo decaído si no fuera por qué salí con algunos amigos para relajarnos y despejar la mente

Hoy tuvimos uno de nuestros últimos exámenes (semana que se supone que debíamos que recibirla en la pasada pero el Lic lo desplazo a esta ) , después de que lo acabamos me fui a reunir con dos amigos, Crist no quería regresar a su casa todavía por qué sentía pereza el tener que limpiar su apartamento y Haz tampoco quería porque solo a Domir iba por lo que decidimos ir a una plaza comercial cerca a explorar

Cuando llegamos a la plaza todo estaba cerrado (eran las 8:30 y todo empezaba a abrir hasta las 9) por lo que nos sentamos un rato pero mejor decidimos ir a la Despensa Familiar para ver qué nos encontramos, estábamos frente a un estate lleno se cosas "de descuento" que estaban apuntó de caducar/ya estaba caducado y nos encontramos un chocolate de empaque curioso(se me olvidó tomar foto )que afirmaba ser 100% de chocolate amarga, Haz dijo que de esos eran horrendos por lo fuertes que eran pero Crist le afirmaba que no podía creerlo, ESTÁBAMOS APUNTO DE COMPRAR UNO HASTA QUE LEÍMOS LA FECHA DE CADUCIDAD Y YA HABÍA VENCIDO, Crist dijo que sería bueno probarlo y ver quién se enfermaba primero pero Haz lo detuvo a tiempo, decidimos ir a otro lugar a buscar otro chocolate poco común después de terminar de explorar la despensa

Fuimos al Dollar City que estaba cerca y fuimos al pasillo de dulces a ver qué nos encontrabamos, Haz encontró un chocolate de la marca "Lacasa" que era 70% Chocolate, el compro únicamente uno para que lo probaremos los tres y yo compré algunas chucherías, entre ellos gomitas de Coca-Cola para probar

Haz dividido el chocolate en tres, Probamos el chocolate al mismo tiempo para ver quién se asqueaba primero pero realmente estaba bueno, solo por antojo pero tampoco era la gran gloria, aunque Haz fue el primero en empalagarse

Luego de eso decidimos irnos a nuestras casas, comimos las gomitas de Coca-Cola para mientras

Estás fueron las otras cosas que compre, también galletas para perro para mi hermoso Cheems chafa (no puede oír el sonido de una bolsa por qué ya anda queriendo ver que es para que le den de probar)

A la 1:00 PM tenía clase, regrese a la U además de que había quedado con haz y otros amigos para ir al cine, después de clases nos fuimos(nos la ingeniamos para que en un carro que tiene lugar solo para 5 cupieran 6), ya había almorzado en mi casa así que mientras haz fue a comprar comida para él, yo y el resto del grupo nos quedamos para comprar los boletos, vimos como quitaron uno de los carteles de intensamente 2 para poner en su lugar la nueva película de "Mi villano favorito"

Una de las que venía traía un poncho suave, mientras que yo se lo cuidaba en lo que ella se había ido con los demás para comprar comida, Haz y yo estábamos en él tercer nivel charlando, el comiendo y yo viendo las aves, fue bastante agradable aunque luego sucedieron cosas algo curiosas,

Pero afortunadamente durante la película todo salió bien, aunque la dueña del poncho se quedó dormida en buena parte de la película pero el resto estaban felices de haber ido y hablaban bastante de todo

Regresamos a nuestros hogares y Haz pudo conocer a mi Cheems que por la alegría de verme se subió a su carro(pudo confirmar que es un perro de patas cortas) , cuando entre el no paraba de hacerme cariño así que le tome está foto

Heute besuchen wir nochmal die Iglesia de la Compañía, diesmal schauen wir uns das darin befindliche Museum an, wo sich viele Kirchenschätze befinden. Später gehen wir in ein Restaurant an der Plaza de Armas. Von der Dachterrasse hat man einen guten Ausblick auf den Platz und die Kathedrale. Da sie keine Coca-Cola haben, trinken wir die peruanische Version, die leider zuviel Kohlensäure enthält und zu süß ist.

Am Nachmittag besuche ich das ehemalige Kloster Santa Catalina, das Nonnen beherbergt hat. Es ist eine riesige Anlage mit etlichen Gassen, die nach spanischen Städten benannt sind. Es ist eine burgähnliche Anlage, die farbenfroh gestaltet ist. Die Größe der Anlage ist beeindruckend und bietet einen guten Eindruck, wie die Nonnen früher hier gelebt haben. Wegen des hohen Eintrittsgeldes ist es nicht zu stark besucht, so dass ich ohne Probleme Fotos machen kann, ohne störende Gestalten.

Luego de varios años de ausencia de este icónico árbol navideño de 14 metros de altura por 7 metros de base, la mandataria estatal realizó diversas gestiones para lograr que el emblemático pino regresara al hogar del sol para llenar de alegría estas fechas. “Vamos a celebrar juntas y juntos la unidad, la fuerza y la resiliencia del pueblo acapulqueño”, indicó la gobernadora ante cientos de familias y las niñas y niños de la Casa Hogar Marsh, quienes se dieron cita en la renovada Plaza Quebec, en el punto conocido

como La Diana Cazadora. “Mientras haya esta fuerza que tienen las y los acapulqueños, vamos a salir adelante”, puntualizó la mandataria estatal, quien estuvo acompañada de la titular del sistema DIF Guerrero, Liz Salgado Pineda. Reiterando su compromiso de embellecer el puerto y recuperar su brillo, la gobernadora puntualizó que seguirá tocando puertas para que más empresas se sumen para que el puerto resurja como el hogar del sol y las familias acapulqueñas recuperen la alegría de estas fechas de celebración luego del paso del huracán Otis. Por su parte, el gerente de asuntos corporativos y gubernamentales México Coca-Cola FEMSA, Gibrán de la Torre González, indicó que la prioridad para la empresa refresquera es

generar un valor económico y social en las comunidades donde operan, “por eso estamos trabajando en esta reactivación económica en Acapulco”.
