In my co-immunoprecipitation research, how can I set up a control?
In my co-immunoprecipitation research, how can I set up a control? Controls are essential to ensuring the specificity and validity of your co-immunoprecipitation experiment. Several forms of regulation are listed below. 1. IgG controls are negative controls; you should add an IgG control for non-specific binding. An IgG secondary antibody should not recognize any of the components in your…

Really enjoying the idea that people who went to medical school can logically be forced to learn insane amounts of information about any subject you give them.

what modern day fnaf could touch on is the soulless uncaring nature of the corporation and how horrors can happen not based on malicious persons but rather a giant conglomerate not giving a fuck...much to think about

Palestinians are just liars who hate us. I can assure people here that Palestine hasnt been destroyed and anything you see online about it is a lie meant to bring us zionists hate.

maybe my favourite part of having cracked open the pandora's box of juggling multiple wips is the way the stories bleed into & inspire one another. the way scenes and dialogue form nodes as on a growing branch, and these whole new leaves of stories unfurl, miraculous. the same way you pick up friends' accents and mannerisms that the language of one setting starts to haunt another. how you sometimes think, reflexive & reductive, i've already covered this, like every bit of creative output is some contiguous graded thesis, before remembering you're in a garden, cultivating what you find compelling and beautiful and important, and nobody has ever looked at two flowers side by side and accused them of looking too similar. all stories being all a part of each other. visiting themes not like a whistlestop tour but old and familiar friends whose homes you know and love as well as your own. stories with lineage. stories as loving something so much you need to talk about it six different times. stories that know each other and hold hands

K. Remaking this post because the OP is deactivated so I can't click on any names to add image descriptions or plain text.

Neopronouns are not a “tumblr fad”. Gender neutral pronouns other than they/them have existed in the English language for actual centuries. They are not harmful to the trans community.
To those who are against neopronouns, you’re acting against the evolution of a language and acting against something that’s been around for far longer than you’ve been alive.
To those who use neopronouns, your pronouns are not harmful. You do not deserve to be made to feel ashamed for your pronouns.

Op you can’t just drop this and expect us to not ask what the old school gender neutral pronouns were!!! How on earth are all my nb friends gonna pick the dapper pronouns????

I found these doing very minimal research:
Ey/Em/Eir (1975, created by Christine M. Elverson) E/Em/Es (1890, created by James Rogers) Per/Pers/Perself (1976, Used in a novel by Marge Piercy) Thon/Thos/Thonself (1858, Created by Charles Crozat Converse) Ve dates back to 1980 Xe dates back to 1973 In 1789, William Marshall confirmed the use of both“a” and “ou” as a replacement for he/she/they and even i. Co/Coself (1970, created by Mary Orovan) Ne (1850, appeared in print in 1884) En (1868, mentioned by Richard Grant White) Han/Hans/Hanself (1868) Un/Uns/One (1868) Se/Sis/Sim (1884) Hesh/Hiser/Himer (1879) Hi/Hes/Hem (1884) Le/Lis/Lim (1884) Hersh/Herm (1884) Ip/Ips (1884) Hae/Haes(Hais)/Haim (1884) Tha/Thare/Them(Thon) (1885) Zyhe/Zyhe’s/Zyhem (1885) Ir/Iro/Im (1888) De/Der/Dem (1888) Hor/Hors/Horself (1890) Ith/Iths (1890) Sources for these as well as many others that I didn’t add due to the list getting too long can be found here. [[Unfortunately, the original link is broken, and no version available on the web archive :( ]] An interesting note is that in the modern language a lot more people use neopronouns then you would expect! Yo is a majorly African American pronoun coined in 2004 and used by Middle School students In Baltimore, Maryland. Fae/Faer, coined in 2014, is used by 4.3% of participants in the 2019 Gender Census. Plus a vast variety of newly coined pronouns that you will have seen commonly floating around! Neopronouns have existed and been recorded for a long time, they are not a new concept, nor are they MOGAI or a tumblr concept. They are not modern, there have just been many modern adaptions to already existing pronouns.
As another addition from me, Ae/aer pronouns are from 1920, from the scifi/philosophy/??? book, A Voyage to Arcturus, by David Linsey.

That shitty post about Ai art that's like "it comes w your humanity" or whatever bullshit she said. Getting a flood of vile ableist anons and what not when everything it reblog and agrees with is either metaphysical notions of art that are meaningless or downright ableist shit.
Makes ableist post -> reblogs and posts more ableist things -> surprised pikachu face when ppl who are miles more explicit and noticeably more reactionary agree with you

There is a very small, but very memorable-to-me species of social media post that I want to interact with (reblog, like, vote) but there is a small but non-zero chance that a client will ask me "hey, can we do anything about this?"
(the answer is almost always "no," but I'd be in an interesting position, conflict-wise, delivering that opinion if I were "on" the post).

You know, every time someone talks about Nintendo as if it’s dying or that it’s being outclassed by Sony/Xbox/PC and can’t compete, I remember the list of the 50 best selling video games of all time.
And I remember that 24/50 are Nintendo exclusives. And all but 1 of the remaining 26 are multi-platform releases, many of which are/were available on Nintendo platforms.
Like, sure, the Switch isn’t nearly as powerful as other consoles (and definitely doesn’t compare to PCs), and Switch 2 will likely also be comparatively underpowered, but do not underestimate the power of exclusive rights to multiple best-selling IPs.
