PSA for My RP Partners

The Basics:

Tomorrow, I'm returning to the land of the law students, in which I start my summer internship in New York City. As a result, I am fairly certain that I won't be able to do replies all day long.

I will update if my workday changes, but as of now, I'm due to work from 9:30am to 5:30pm. I believe the bus that I'm catching will be around 7:30am to 7:45am to work and around 6pm coming home. This will definitely change once I have a week's worth of commute under my belt and can pinpoint what is the best bus to take based on commute time, traffic, etc.

Times in which I will work on Replies:

As a result of my commute from New Jersey into New York, I will likely be able to do replies between 7:30am and 9:15am, then from 6:15pm onward on Monday through Fridays. I have no idea when my lunch breaks are, so don't be surprised if you get a random midday reply.

All of the times above are EST/GMT -4.

Saturdays and Sundays will be my normal random times throughout the day.

All that I ask:

1) Please be patient with me and don't be mad if I don't see your replies. The Tumblr mobile app is spotty with activity. If you don't get a reply from me within 48 hours, please feel free to send me an ask. (I don't mind inbox messages, but am not likely to receive them until I get onto my laptop)

2) When possible, please cut our threads. The mobile app often doesn't let me and after a certain point, I can no longer read entire replies on a post. And not only does that make me sad, but it makes me unable to reply in turn until I'm back on the laptop.

3) Please don't be mad if I get selective with certain threads when I'm not on my laptop, especially if our replies to each other are generally multiple paragraphs. I like to really think those out and edit them a bunch of times before I post, which is easier on a laptop.

4) Please don't be mad if my reply is short by comparison, ESPECIALLY if our replies are multiple paragraphs. It's hard to match or come close when I don't have the whole post in front of me or can constantly refer to it. I will write as much as I feel my reply warrants.

5) If you like to RP on Skype, please message me and we can exchange information. I have the mobile app on my iPhone and will gladly keep that open, as well.

Thank you in advance for being patient with me while I go through summer internship hell and keeping me sane with our threads.

Maycien and Bones had talked it out before Maycien had decided to take his leave of absence from Starfleet and while he hadn't wanted to leave, he couldn't lose his daughter, so Maycien went back to Earth for six months and he and Bones kept in touch via PADD as much as possible. 

One night, as he was lying awake after Evie had climbed into bed with him, he had the overwhelming need to talk to his partner, he had gotten used to sleeping with Bones and now being alone was negatively affecting his sleep schedule.  Now he desperately tried not to wake up the sleeping toddler who had plastered herself to his side while he was sleeping and pulled out his PADD.

28. Colonial AU

Sherlock stepped of the wooden plank onto the dock. The journey had been tedious and long and he didn’t wish to leave his country but he had no choice. He had been requested to help subdue the colonists for the time being as they worked out how to pay off the debts from the Seven Years War. He didn’t know how he was to calm the restless colonists but compensation was enough to convince his partner, who had stayed to attend to the flat and crimes back home. He was persuaded more by experience then anything else, he was curious about the criminals and what crimes were committed.

He was to find lodgings with a man who resided in the Southern Colonies, quite far from the action, but only for the time being. He searched the port to look for the man, a Medical Practitioner was what Sherlock would base his observation off of. It would be simple enough to find someone who share traits with his friend amongst the crowd. That is why he spotted the man a few moments later, brown hair, brown eyes and a past that would intrigue him.
