blankets or pillows or plushies. i need a designated cloud corner in my room. this is my wish for the future. or an art project. i beg.

i need to PUNCH them. i need to THROW them against the wall. and then hug them gently. i love.

Did you know that clouds are classified based on appearence just like animals?

It's true! Besides the 3 height levels they can form in, clouds are classified by shape, texture, size, and general appearence.

The idea of "cloudspotting", or appreciating often-maligned clouds that bring extra beauty to the sky, was made by Gavin Pretor-Pinney, an author and cloud-lover. He wrote the book the Cloudspotters Guide: the Science, History, and Culture of Clouds, and founded the cloud appreciation society, which has the manifesto:

WE BELIEVE that clouds are unjustly maligned and that life would be immeasurably poorer without them.

We think that clouds are Nature's poetry, and the most egalitarian of her displays, since everyone can have a fantastic view of them.

We pledge to fight 'blue-sky thinking' wherever we find it. Life would be dull if we had to look up at cloudless monotony day after day.

We seek to remind people that clouds are expressions of the atmosphere's moods, and can be read like those of a person's countenance.

We believe that clouds are for dreamers and their contemplation benefits the soul. Indeed, all who consider the shapes they see in them will save money on psychoanalysis bills.

And so we say to all who'll listen:

Look up, marvel at the ephemeral beauty, and always remember to live life with your head in the clouds!

One of the things I hear humans say a lot is "Ohh, it's a gorgeous day, sunny and blue with not a cloud in the sky!" And my response that I say in my head but never out loud is:

"What's wrong with clouds?? Don't you like clouds?! Clouds are the best!"

My idea of a gorgeous day is lots of clouds, big voluptuous clouds filling the sky. Like this:

With some sun too of course but I'm not fussy I love all kinds of weather; foggy, rainy, what have you. Actually one of my favorite pastimes is fogwatching. Especially in San Francisco. Here's a real nice time lapse video of the fog in SF Bay Area:

The best. One of the things that I particularly love is seeing fog spilling over hillsides or mountainsides and it's backlit by the sun and all lit up. GOrgeous.

Hii!!! I have some interesting clouds to share :DD (these were taken a few days apart) thought you'd think they're cool :3

GASP!!!! those are so cool!!!! big ol sweeping water molecules <3. they look so awesome in carrides—the changing perspective and lighting wauaghh 😭. i usually take my photos while listening to music in the car (fav song to do this to might be marvellous clouds by cosmo sheldrake). speaking of, i saw some awesome clouds today too!!

then smore from previous days :]. casually seeing god (slash the oc i’ve made that i use to explain these clouds for fun universe lore reasons lmao) above the kroger. there was cloud iridescence???? that day???

bonus roku homescreen clouds??? because they added clouds????? :0?? i just finished Big with my mom. questionable but cool!
