Just saw a guy on fb get confronted about cloning his ex wife like I know it's not technically illegal but it's morally unethical If they bring their case to the Clone Justice Federation I think they could make a pretty good case. I hope both the ex and her duplicate come after his golf clubs and heal over this.

It's a stretch but folding Miranda ChildrenofMemory into my protection under my #clonerights policy. She's an intelligent slime mold. She almost turned the universe into the gray goo problem because she wanted to check it out. She can recreate the personalities of everyone she interfaces with including the people she ate but doesn't do those ones very often because they're mad about it. She's the living archive of an interplanetary alliance. If startled she's liable to return to the gray goo thing. She's simulated consciousnesses all the way down and thinks computers should have rights. She's even transgender.

I’m super glad this episode answered the AFAIK unasked but — I now realize — crucial question of “how is waste dealt with if there is no bathroom?” but I also feel like if David 7 is such an unusually gooey boy, Trexel should hose him down or something. okay i gotta break this down

at first i was like, would the clones really feel that similar in the force? but actually i like the idea that they feel similar at the very beginning of the war not because they’re genetically identical, but rather because of their strict upbringings on kamino. they haven’t been allowed a lot of individuality, and while they are still individuals in spite of that, there’s still a lot of room for them to explore who they are as people.

again, the clones are very focused on specific ideas about what it means to be a good soldier - or maybe a good clone, if they see a difference. while this might loosen up as the war goes on, i think it’s more of a loosening of the means rather than the end goal - i always come back to fives in the umbara arc, so sure he should stand against krell and yet never questioning the republic itself.

Look i don't CARE if I sound heartless to the victims, but The Fallen Warrior Family act is downright evil. Do people not even realize that our foster system is absolutely teeming with clone children that no one wants? The parents who receive a clone of their child/spouse who died in battle of The Great Marsh often give that clone up the very second their "replacement" doesn't act like an exact copy of their dead loved ones. Even worse is when the soldiers are encouraged to have their WetDex memory chip installed into the new clone when they sign up for the program so the parents of a Fallen Marsh combat veteran are just given a baby that's born with complex PTSD and behavioral problems. I feel bad for the family's loss you cant just send people to their deaths and pretend like a clone can be used as a token chip for their sacrifice we HAVE to stop playing God. Let the dead rest.
