If anyone needs a reason as to why this exists, it's because, during a conversation with @anstarwar about what the troopers get up to while sitting/relaxing on their Nocabras (such as Echo reads his beloved reg manuals), this came up.

So there you have it! 🤣

Squeaks becomes so used to Duckie falling off that they don't get concerned anymore. Just picks him up and plonks him back on til the next fall!

And to answer a question no one asked, yes they have prehensile tails. If their rider falls, they can do a run by snatch and grab to get them back in the saddle. 😁

Oh, and Duckie makes squeaking sounds when he falls or gets hit. It's canon. 🤣

I just watched a video of some little kids surrounded by giant ducks and they were so excited to get to feed them little bread bits and I just see Asher as being the happiest lil guy getting to feed the ducky’s with his pops 🥺

This made my heart nut tonight Asher would absolutely LOVE feeding bread to the duckies. Crosshair also loves the duck pond.

obi-wan/reader fic where he only calls her "ducky" or "duckling?" 😊😊

challenge accepted. i didn’t have the motivation to do a full fic so here are my thoughts

okay okay!! so get this: obi-wan started calling you ducky as a joke to irritate you before either of you magically transformed into ducks or even got together romantically. one day the two of you were hanging out in your room, doing nothing special in particular besides talking over tea and enjoying a moment of peace during the middle of the war, when obi-wan cracked a truly awful joke that shouldn’t have been funny but had you in stitches. the problem? upon hearing the joke you let out what could only be described as a honk. at the sound, you and obi-wan both sat in silence for a moment before he said “i didn’t mean to quack you up” and you both began laughing hard, cramps in your stomachs and tears filling your eyes. it shouldn’t have even been that funny, but you both lost it anyway. after that event, he spent the rest of the evening only calling you ducky despite your frequent corrections that ducks quacked and geese honked so get your facts straight, obi. but he didn’t care. calling you ducky was enough to playfully rile you up and get you to smile even when you weren’t feeling your best. it was a little inside joke between you two that continued on even after that evening, a simple and joyful moment in time to think back to in comfort when the fighting got rough and the weight of this war laid heavily on your shoulders.

and then the two of you entered a romantic relationship. while ducky remained an inside joke between you two, duckling quickly became a term of endearment between you two, something you both could address each other without raising any eyebrows at your attachment (though he used it more frequently than you did). why did you call each other this? two reasons: (1) he is such a mama duck to you. always out there protecting you at a moment’s notice, helping you even if you claim you don’t need it, and keeping a watchful eye out for any potential dangers. (2) not only that, but it’s understood by all that wherever obi-wan is, you’re not too far away, and vice versa. you guys have a reputation for sticking closeby during missions you’re sent on together, one following the other, and so you’ve taken to calling each other duckling because of these reasons. it’s also worth noting that the clone troopers have poked fun at how you “follow each other everywhere,” and even they have a laugh whenever the name duckling��is dropped. it’s a silly little name of endearment, but one you treasure and hold close to your heart because every time obi-wan addresses you as such, you see a boyish charm in his eyes and a playful smile on his lips. it’s harmless fun and absolutely endearing.

but then the two of you actually become ducks. why on earth had this happened to you? you’re not sure. but it is what it is, and sometimes you’ve just gotta roll with the punches. just keep quacking. at first, you were worried you wouldn’t be able to understand obi-wan considering you now communicate in quacks, squeaks, honks, and whistles, but to your surprise, you’re fully able to understand his quack quack quack-ing. lucky you! also to your surprise, he still lovingly calls you ducky and duckling even though it’s more of a literal pet name now. you wouldn’t have it any other way and you’re looking forward to living your best duck life with your favorite duck. quack quack.

Here, behold a Ducky

For context, he doesn't actually need glasses. He doesn't wear a helmet 90% of the time, since he works mostly domestic side doing forensics. So his glasses are his HUD and com link.

Clone OCs I have concocted that have yet to see the light of day:

Full disclosure I have no idea how the GAR is structured so idk if these numbers even work. They're 99% puns. Most of these guys have been sitting in my docs for a few years and I haven't found a good moment to use them. CAA is sitting at 600+ pages and we're just a few weeks past geonosis. So.... it'll be a while.

CM-3199 "Ducky" - A forensic specialist medical officer in the C-guard. He helps with cases involving deaths of important people involved with the Senate. Tends to talk to the corpses like he's having a nice chat, telling interesting anecdotes he read in the library. (yes he is a reference, and yes he has glasses)

ARC-2553 "Buzz" - Originally in hive squad, but after surviving a very intense solo mission he was given arc status. He still works with Hive, but he has a fair amount of solo jobs.

CC-2550 "Bumble" - Commander of hive squad. The stoic older brother. He's a good leader.

CT-2551 "Stinger" - The sweet baby of the squad. He's an absolute sunshine child. Just the sweetest baby.

CT-2552 "Fluff" - The gruff angry hard ass. He hates his nickname, but his brothers insist on it because of his hair.

RC-6969 "Slice" - Entirely inspired by this post, I imagine him being just massive, intimidating in kartan black commando armor. All his files are sealed so no one, not even his commanders, are sure if that's actually his number or if he's just fucking with people.

RC-5457 "Shadow" - Just a commando that does a lot of work with Gree, or on worlds like kashyyyk that need camo. I really like the colors on Gree's black series figure and this guy is just to make a character that has that palette on commando armor. I'm sure they probably exist, but I wanted to make my own. His armor is beskar silver that comes through the green in a satisfying way.

CT-2111 "Sheer" - Fluffy hair. Curls. Sheep decals. Just...floof.

RC-1313 "Crypt" - Not to be confused with CT-1313 (had this guy in my notes for a while, debated posting because I didn't want to step on toes. But he's pretty different from commander Ghoul, @cloned-eyes has a wonderful character I've really enjoyed writing for.) They may have matching numbers, but where Ghoul is grumpy, and rightfully so, Crypt is more on the eccentric side. He's a writer and a little bit of a prankster. He enjoys taking the horror he sees and turning it into spooky stories to entertain others. (It helps him process loss and trauma) he's got a little bit of a horror streak, but in a nekozawa(Ouran high)/crypt keeper way. He 100% watches whatever the starwars equivalent of Elvira is. She's his first crush.

@anstarwar is mostly to blame for this! XD We got chatting about their new community-created scuba trooper Duckie and how they would ride a Nocabra in any manner but the "normal" way and delved into this madness. 🤣

It's been decided Duckie loves Nocabras and has adopted one of his own despite Nocas not being very good swimmers. But Duck's got it covered!
