Vallis in the engineering levels! Technically should be wearing the full PPE all of the time but literally no one does that because it’s so hot in there sometimes that you would just fucking pass out. Engineers and core technicians usually only suit up before they do any work inside the core chambers themselves where all the cylinders are kept

Clone engineers were a specialized infantry class in the Clone Army. Trained in vehicle operation, engineers were issued a variety of equipment, including detonation packs and bacta. They usually carried shotguns for close quarters combat. Clone engineers provided essential support to infantry during many battles.

When I was talking to people about the clone theory, they were always asking me about who were originals and who were clones. I didn't understand why that matters; they're all same people with the same memories of their pre-service past, right?

What I didn't understand is that people had entirely different take on how clones are made than I do. I've never even thought about the fetus tubes until someone specifically pointed out that scene in Emesis Blue... (I also didn't know cloning was a real life thing?? Not just sci-fi trope??)

So yeah I've always thought cloning was instant because it would also explain how respawn works. Classic "resurrection" either isn't the thing (lame) or just takes too much time to commit. However, the super cool very scientific respawn machine will use your remains + storage bio supply to quickly rebuild a new body (as it was at the assigning day) and put your consciousness into that body so you feel like you're living nonstop.

(at least that's the theory)

Also, to answer these questions:

They do remember their connections, their past and their memories. Memories of the past are the same.

Their families were not cloned, they aren't involved in this business in any way. They don't know.

However, to keep this secret from the mercs... Of course if both of the clones will speak to their families they will soon spot some weird things and inconsistencies (talking about things that seemed to never happen). Not even talking about visiting family on holidays, that's an obvious no-no.

So... First of all, a big deal is to make REDs and BLUs lives and experiences here as similar (ideally identical) as possible.

And second: I think their connection to the world is just very limited/prohibited. The telephone connection is entirely controlled by the Administration (Sniper has to drive far away to sneak talk to his parents). Letters are monitored, censored and withhold if necessary (or copied if they are FROM the family). No going home until the contract is due (many years??) etc...

Which contradicts comics in s lot of ways but you know what? I don't even care. Comics are an unreliable narrator anyways. I mean uh... I uh. I'll talk about it some other time.

Occasionally I think we suffer too much from wanting to inject a normal perspective into star wars. Obviously the clones should not have an everyman normal perspective on the jedi, they are some of the least normal people alive. Obviously the jedi are not a normal perspective either, they grew up in a monastery and have cosmic forces pouring through their heads. The natborn officers are all handpicked fascists so they aren't normal either. Not one single being on any of those warships is ever normal.

Padme was a politician at age 10. Naboo is weird. They're all weird. And those mandalorians. Listen, if a traditional mandalorian found themself on melida-daan as per fanfic tradition, they wouldn't be normal about it. They'd see a bunch elementary kids doing warfare and think that's the coolest shit. They'd teach them how to fire a rocket launcher with their tiny bony arms and when a bunch of them die on the raid they coached them on they'd tell the other seven year olds it 'twas an honorable death.

Asia Rocsta, 1990. The Jeep clone was based on a military 4X4 made by Asia Motors since 1978. Available in both and hard top and soft top form, the Rocsta used Mazda 1.8 litre petrol and 2.2 litre Diesel 4 cylinder engines. It was sold in a limited number of international markets but became one of the last vehicles to carry the Asia badge because when it was discontinued in 1997 it was replaced by a Kia-badged 4X4

Cody: likes neat-ish breakfast foods that have a bunch of flavor, but can be eaten quickly. doesn’t really have drink preferences, but first choice is always ice cold water with a little mint leaf in it. doesn’t hate any food/drink at all, but dislikes cleaning up after eating messy food (think of those very tall sandwiches that have the ingredients spilling out while covered in a sauce).

Wolffe: Big meal + with a snack guy. Has a more intense sweet tooth than expected of a clone, so he likes to pair a sweet snack with whatever he’s eating if he’s able. Hates most seafoods and liquid-y foods, but likes most other things. Doesn’t like to drink water so he either mixes syrups in or deals with it. Usually goes for very doctored-up caf, but his men are too intimidated to tease him for it.

Dogma: prefers non-spicy meaty foods no matter the size, but he ends up usually going for things he can eat in <15 minutes. Forcing himself to like vegetables for several reasons, but it isn’t going that well. Dislikes too-sweet things because of a fear of cavities and the burning/“full” feeling his mouth and throat gets. Denies having a drink preference at all, but he prefers just plain milk.

Rex: LOVES stews and salads and doesn’t care about anything else the entire time he’s eating. would love to have them for every meal if he could. Likes energy drinks and fruit smoothies even if he hates most sweet foods/drinks (gets made fun of for this by brothers and Ahsoka). also, not a messy eater but a loud eater, doesn’t care if it’s annoying.

Fox: despite being near so much food and eating a large variety of it, never actually developed a preference for particular kinds because he doesn’t feel hunger and everything is just “fuel” to him. Does prefer protein shakes and energy drinks, but can’t stand caf (smell is too strong for him, but will drink it if there’s nothing else). sometimes considers faking having generic preferences so his men stop trying to trick him into eating inedible things.

Stone: loves spicy & greasy foods, but is overall very adventurous when it comes to food, will try anything at least once. likes fruit juices and most alcoholic drinks, but won’t make efforts to get the latter since he’s usually very busy. genuinely hates bland food/drinks and won’t finish them, leads to some arguments/teasing/dares with others. has a citrus allergy but assumes it’s just a thing everyone goes through.

Bly: actually loves seafood prepared in any way (including raw), won’t eat any other meat dishes though. Likes any tea, hot water, and milkshakes. dislikes alcohol & caf + their smell and will sneer / walk away if someone is drinking it near him. wouldn’t consider himself vegetarian, but nearly everyone else does. also, hates being watched and talked to while eating, and gets angry/uncomfortable if he’s the only one eating in a group.
