we wanted to have the fact that Josh wasn’t drunk on his own but by Chris (Laughs). It made more sense to have them to be friends. And we carried that through into the actual thing. There was even kind of the shipping between Chris and Josh— that became a thing that we hadn’t written in, but we did want to have them to have quite a close relationship.

On a lighter note my head cannon is that Hannah shipped climbingclass before she even knew what shipping was….bless her little nerd heart she was determined to get them together. Beth shipped it as well and both were constantly frustrated by Joshs attempts to get Chris a girlfriend. Like NO Josh that blond nerd is going to be a Washington and your husband. Like if the prank hadn’t happened she or beth were gonna lock them in a closet or take them to Vegas and get them REALLY drunk and get them married

based on what little we know about hannah, i think it's fair to make her a softie/romantic. i'm totally into making her, like, very invested in her sibs' happiness and that includes being a huge cheerleader in their romantic lives. also love the idea of josh being like "nobody can know i have these feelings. or feelings at all" but hannah clocks his gay ass SO fast. she's immediately like "you like chris don't you josh" <- said like "you like krabby patties don't you squidward." evil little smile and everything.

we all just making shit up abt beth and i for one love to make her zesty and kinda hard-edged. not actually mean, but like, if chris had to rank the washingtons from most to least frightening, beth would be at the top of the list. maybe he'll stop being lowkey scared of her when he's like. forty.

re: vegas, i would love a humor fic where josh + chris are absolutely shitfaced in vegas and get married bc they think its really funny, and the next day all their friends are like do we seriously have to explain to you that getting married "as a bit" doesn't make it less legally binding. you fucking idiots. even funnier to me if they are, in fact, in a relationship. and they don't bother to divorce bc that's too much work but they keep having to explain to everyone they meet that yes the relationship is real but the marriage is a joke. no one gets it.

Chris had always seen Josh as a fixed point in his life, the planet he revolved around. Josh was the idea guy, and Chris was his yes-man. Josh said jump, Chris said how high. The rational part of Chris knew it was codependent, but that’s how they’d always been. He didn’t want that to change. -- Or, it's a few months post-prank and Chris still has nightmares. He and Josh get high, watch a dumb movie, and talk about the shit they've been avoiding.

im so obsessed with climbing class (and until dawn all together) you have no idea, until dawn is my whole personality since i was eleven (nine years ago!!) and so is climbing class, i dont know how to exist without them and im not even kidding

like im hyperfixated on until dawn for such a long time that i dont know what its my own personality and what ive gathered from it !!!! im too neurodivergent for this 😀

i exchanged my fifteen year old bday party for a ps4 only bc of until dawn (yea yea kinda a "white girl problem" ik), the first game i bought was until dawn, every brazilian gameplay on yt ive watched it, ive played more than 10 times (kinda lost count), i have hannah's butterfly tattoed on my shoulder too and i plan to have more, i quote until dawn lines all the time (to the point my friends know the lines too)

i know im rambling but i dont think anyone understands how >much< until dawn is my entire life, like not even my closest friends understand my obsession and theyre neurodivergent too

Hi! I hope this isn’t weird, but I read your rewrite of Something I Need recently, and I had one question. Do you remember why Chris’s vision of that dinner with Josh and the Washingtons was marked as danger?

I know you’re not entirely comfortable with that fic anymore, but my friend and I really enjoyed it <3

I remember, lol. And even if I didn't, I still have the OneNote file on the fic somewhere.

The Danger was what Josh was doing and what was on his plate.

The section is below the Read more, but basically, the end idea was that Josh was too turned, too different thanks to the spirit inside him. But the Washingtons were freaked out and forcing him to eat vegetables and salads, and no meat -- Which Josh would need.

Chris would catch on to this and later provide him meat whenever they hung out, so that Josh didn't go crazy from starvation and kill everyone.

So the Danger was literally the Salad.

The bloody butterfly beat its wings and the blood dripped down to land as two perfectly round sweet cherry tomatoes in a fancy looking salad.  He stared down at the salad bowl and realized that he recognized the dishware and the tablecloth and the carpet. 

Slowly he dragged his gaze up to Josh sitting across from him at the Washington’s dinning room table.  There was a medical mask resting against Josh’s throat, and a gnarly scar that ran up from the left corner of his lips.  His lips weren’t pursed, but he could tell by the set of Josh’s jawline that he was irritated.

He was glaring down at the salad like it had personally offended him, although honestly, Josh was the one offending it by pushing it around with his fork like he was.  He kicked Josh gently under the table, and Josh’s glare turned into a smile that didn’t reach his green eyes.

Silly UD Headcanons

Josh took a Home Ed class in the 9th grade to make better food for his sisters to eat

Chris used to be taller than all of the Washington siblings until the 6th grade and they all had a huge growth spurt

Hannah and Matt have work out days every Friday and Saturday

Emily and Jess used to have girls night at Jess’s house (they watched rom-com movies and gossiped. After watching mean girls, they made a burn book of their own, when Jess got with Mike she changed Emily from my sister from another mister to raging fire breathing she-devil)

9. Was there any character that you ended up not liking as much as you thought you would?

OH HUH..... i don't think so? I came into the game with barely any spoilers, so basically all my character impressions formed ingame! There's no one in the cast I dislike.... will say though that I've always been amused with my immediate obsession with chris since he is not in my top 3 most compelling characters of that cast lol. i just really enjoy him.

13. Which relationship was your favorite? (Platonic, romantic, or otherwise)

SO MANY OPTIONS....All 3 canon ones make me crazy, but I think i've probably read and drawn the most Chrashley stuff. i LOVE a good Cute Crush Dynamic undergoes the horrors, and i loveee the fact that they can very much Not have each other's back depending on how you play it! Its really fun that ash can be super unrepentant about The Prank and chris can fully choose josh over her and point a gun at her but as long as he doesnt shoot everything's good between them! Just a lot of wonderful, hidden fucked up depths here. #mrsbluebeard by tmbg

also this is 100% cheating but i have been really obsessing over the whole mike em matt jess web of dynamics lately.. that group has A LOT going on.

30. Any background information you wish we would have gotten about a character?

hmmmmm i feel like ud puts effort into sneaking a lot of hannah lore and personality into the game but beth.....I wish there were more twin clues about beth. we get a few minutes as her, and her relationship chart, but she still comes off with very little time/info.

For the rest of the cast though, I would love more family details and just general chatting about memories.... Will say though that I've been slowly reading The Almosts and have been pretty damn satisfied with the added stuff there!

39. Any opinion take about a ship you'd like to share?

OH UH.... I do agree that climbing class gets done in a lot of frustrating ways, and it took me a while postgame and a lot of chatting with @jackrackhams to find an angle that was fun for them! CLIMBING CHRASH ON THE OTHER HAND... Also i am notttt really a sam/josh shipper unless done in a way i really enjoy. also despite beth's status as a onedimensionalguymostly, i do think shipping her with sam precanon is fun and adds an interesting dimension to everything!
