So I was researching where the Freddie & Princess Di stories came from & it seems like it started in 2013 when an actress named Cleo Rocos wrote about it in her memoir.
The story goes that Di would hang out with Freddie (& Elton John which the articles claim was already an established friendship, though I don’t know personally) and that one night, there were hanging out in Kenny Everett’s house, watching The Golden Girls on mute and making up saucy dialogue. She asked to go to a gay bar with them. They apparently dressed her in drag & she managed to get in and wasn’t noticed.
Which... it sounds fake as hell. Like, Princess Di was incredibly popular and clearly the paparazzi swarmed her, so even if she were in gaudy drag, I can’t see them not catching her. They probably would’ve seen her go into Everett’s house and they’d put 2 and 2 together when they saw her leave.
And it’s just all very conveniently interesting. Like, it’s 3 famous people making fun of a popular sitcom and sneaking a royal into a gay bar. It’s just a bit too much to seem real. It seems like the kind of thing someone would make up in a memoir to get attention.
I sort of feel bad calling this actress out because I don’t know her at all, but it just doesn’t seem plausible. Did anyone ever corroborate this with Phoebe or anyone else?

Featuring a scene-stealing cameo from Vincent Price, Kenny Everett's Bloodbath At The House Of Death (1984) is a horror comedy in the best possible taste!

They don’t make movie stars like Vincent Price anymore – and even when they did, they didn’t make many of them. As well as his prodigious output as an actor, Price was also a well-travelled, learned man with a particular penchant for art and art history and gourmet cookery. A consummate renaissance man, he’s one of those names who transcends the grubby popularity of movie stardom and expands…

~ Ascendants
ARIES ascendant: Bold, courageous, assertive. Very independent, edgy always in motion very active people. Single-minded go getters. Direct. Very youthful looking and fresh, enthusiastic, loud. Quick steps while walking. Innocent and naïve looking. Trend-setters and self-starting people. Passionate, a bit temperamental. Even perhaps hot tempered. Aries rules the head, so anything connected to the head is noticeable with aries risings, big forehead, face scars an expressive and open face. Baby-faced look definitely. They are our baby dragons of the zodiac, so that youthful spirit can be expressed through their reddish cheeks. Distinctive eyebrows perhaps.
