Sleep Hygiene Jill Khoury
A bed should be a tender slab, devoid of insects.
A tired woman should be able to lie across diagonally, headache to hag feet.
A bed should exist in crystalline silence.
It should have a sleepy blue view. A nearby window not close to voyeurs.
A bed should have a special pillow to shush the head, to coddle and safety the amygdala.
If established on the ground, a bed should have a bioluminescent quilt to redirect the gaze: the prey is over there.
If established in a tree, the quilt may allow for free feet or a tossback with luxuriant abandon.
Among other things, do not build your bed on dictionaries or books of any kind.
A bed is best made from a wood frame, or metal, or dark matter.
A bed should be free of lye, lime, and liars.
One should be able to enter the bed and think I could fly far away in this. I could die; I could just die.

Interesting- I’ve never seen this categorized as a fashion shoot! is there a source on that? I know Clementina Hawarden was an early female photographer who used her daughters as models, certainly, but I’ve never heard that she clearly defined her intention as “showing off the latest fashions”
(also the photos with any two of the sisters together tend to be mislabled as sapphic couples when presented sans context. oops.)
First ever fashion shoot was done by Lady Clementina Hawarden and her three daughters Isabella Grace, Clementina, and Florence Elizabeth in their London house that acted as a studio.

Portrait of a woman taken by Clementina Hawarden, UK, 1860s. Clementina Hawarden was considerate the first female fashion photographer. She usually used her daughters as her models. Married with Cornwallis Maude, 4th Viscount Hawarden she had 8 childrens and unfortunately died in 1864 at the age of 42.
However she left more than 700 photographs that were donated to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
