hoshina soshiro can claim with extreme conviction that he rarely regrets the decisions he has made so far in his life.
from the time he has set his sights on taking the aptitude exam necessary to be recruited in the anti-kaiju defense force, to following captain ashiro mina to support her as the vice-captain of the third division, to religiously adhering to his daily routine of working out even during his off days so he can stay in peak condition - everything he's done is driven by soshiro's lone motivation: to rise and come on top.
unfortunately, as he sees you walking in the hallway of the training building with his brother, soshiro realises that this is one of those rare occurrences where he hopes he gets a do-over.
it was barely 6 in the afternoon so there was still light from outside; the rays of the setting sun penetrating the transparent windowpanes cast an orange glow to the furniture in soshiro's office. it made him remember how he used to always be assigned as the student to clean the classroom back in junior high school: he would sweep first then rearrange the chairs before closing the windows and drawing down the curtains. he would rush up to the rooftop, in time to watch the sun dip below the horizon. he would stay for a few precious minutes, dreaming of a chance to get out of their town. he was fifteen then.
soshiro shook his head a bit. he decided that today - of all days - will not be when he will have a trip down memory lane. yes, despite the number of times he would get reminded of his past today, he refuses to get sidetracked.
the floor is eerily silent, save for the momentary opening and closing of doors; soshiro is aware that almost everyone has left, flocking to the local izakaya not too far from the base to celebrate. he had half the mind to prompt himself to hurry up in order to make it to the get-together on time. the long and gruelling application process took three months before the vetting could begin, but finally, the third division of japan anti-kaiju defense force honoured its new officers that morning. as the nominated head of the selection committee, he oversaw the entire thing, and at the end, he could not help but to feel confident that their force would become stronger from here - this year their roster of applicants boasts high-profile names like that of the very daughter of jakdf's director general and the young master of the prestigious izumo family.
okonogi, sitting in front of him at his office, was sorting the personal forms of the recruits, a big stapler in her right hand. "i can take care of this, vice-captain", she said to him, "they cannot miss you there."
soshiro smupled to his swivel chair, obviously fatigued by the task he and okonogi had been trying to finish for half an hour already. fighting and defeating kaiju is the main part of the job, but handling the paperwork proves to be as challenging. "right, make sure the headquarters get this by the morning along with the report of all their numbers -" the sound of footsteps nearby interrupted soshiro's train of thought.
there were three loud knocks and the door opened, a man with the same eyes as soshiro peeping inside. even okonogi glanced over her shoulder to identify who the intruder is. soshiro stood up.
"just wanted ta drop by before i head back ta himeji", hoshina soichiro's undeniable accent dripped. spotting the huge pile of forms littering the desk, he commented, "seems like ya are a little preoccupied though."
"hoshina fuku taichou, good evening." your voice was firm yet jovial as you greeted him, the kansai inflection rolling off your tongue. you appeared beside soshiro's brother, still wearing the same standard-issue uniform you wore during the event several hours ago when you were sworn in as a new defense force officer. the outfit is snug on you - soshiro had noticed at the ceremony earlier, but up close the top looked almost skintight, the skirt coming up a little above your knees. soshiro can be a high-ranking official within the force, but he is also a man. if only briefly, he stared. "aren't ya going ta the party?"
taken aback that you would drop by his office, it was out of his mouth too fast he couldn't stop it - "how about ya? what are you still doing here with him?" soshiro responded pointedly at you, throwing you the same query but not answering what you asked him. it was too late to take it back; he sounded like he was interrogating you about your presence with the captain of the sixth division. soichiro winced; soshiro pretended not to see. "i- i was just thinking ya went with the officers on the way there", he added, calmer this time.
"oh, i was just catching up with hoshina-kun", you replied without missing a beat. soshiro doesn't know if the accidental force in his question just seconds prior did not intimidate you at all or you simply ignored his tone. "i mean with soichiro-kun. considering ya are hoshina too", you chuckled. soshiro stole a glance at the man at your side while maintaining an empty expression. he found his brother smirking at him; soshiro willed himself not to picture soichiro as an ugly kaiju with a butt for a face.
okonogi who is now attentively eavesdropping on your conversation caught your attention. "pardon for the bother, hoshina-san. we'll be off now."
for an instant, it looked like you were waiting for soshiro to say something in response. to say what, he doesn't know. the eye contact between you and him held up for a moment but broke as quick as it began. tension prickled in the air briefly then ebbed as you turned away from soshiro. "i'll see ya at the party, vice-captain", you gave him a bow before exiting the room. soshiro wanted to stop you; he didn't.
soichiro sighed. "it was nice seeing ya, 'lil bro", he addressed soshiro, his hand patting the latter's shoulder once, twice. "i have paperwork ta worry about too so as much as i'd like to, i won't be able ta attend your division's party. just in case ya want ta know." soshiro didn't look like he had a crumb of interest to know about his brother's occupational responsibilities; he shrugged soichiro's hand off.
soshiro saw you standing outside, leaning on the wall, when he ushered his brother out. "i'll be driving her to the izakaya though", soichiro informed him. "ya should visit our folks when ya have the time. ya should come home sometimes", soichiro continued, a hint of concern evident in his voice. when soshiro did not respond, surprisingly the older hoshina did not look a tiny bit disappointed. instead, soichiro put on a charming smile and waved at okonogi. "okonogi-chan, see ya around!" he tossed a playful wink at her.
soshiro merely watched as you and soichiro walked together, your pace matching his. a few meters away, he saw you listening intently to something soichiro was saying - he is too close - and although he is not within earshot to hear what is being said anymore, he knows it is another one of his brother's bad jokes. it looks like you were trying to suppress it, but a smile was about to dawn on your lips. soshiro felt sick to his stomach all of a sudden.
the party was already in full swing when soshiro arrived - everyone is hungrily feasting on the expensive wagyu beef, drinks flowing endlessly from the bar. everyone is enjoying themselves; even captain ashiro mina can be seen having small talk with the newly sworn-in officers who were eagerly taking notes from her.
you had easily made friends with the other rookies who are now sitting next to you; it was thanks to your group that this event was planned - after enduring long sessions of strenuous physical training every day of every week, you all deserved a night of everyone just gathering to have a good time. soshiro seems to be exempt from the festive atmosphere though.
he picked the seat next to his captain, who greeted him with a curt nod. he proceeded to grab the mug of beer served to him; the first sip registered a sharp bitterness through his mouth but soshiro relished on the flavor as it overtook his senses.
"everything alright?" captain ashiro from his side asked without lifting her gaze from her own drink. "you are being -" she paused, carefully searching to find the right words, “uncharacteristically quiet.”
soshiro picked the glass of beer again, and when he was about to put the lid on his lips, he could sense someone’s intense stare locked on him. years of being the vice-captain gifted him with equal parts instinct and paranoia so he could not help but scan the room, only to find you, sitting across the room, watching him with a curious expression.
a rowdy group of rookies surrounds you; they are high-fiving each other, laughing at their silly pranks, not minding that all of you are squeezed together at a crowded circle. soft music in the background swelled as everyone cheered and clinked glasses.
soshiro's eyes remained fixed on yours, lasting for what he felt like forever. the buzz of chatter dulled to a distant hum, fading into an almost white noise. his heart raced as he felt his breath catch and his mouth go dry. the corner of your lips curved into a smile and maybe it is the alcohol in his system, but he is certain his cheeks are flushed now.
"huh", captain ashiro lowly exclaimed. soshiro quickly snapped a glance at her. "you talked to her yet?" she asked him. ah, she caught his little moment with you.
soshiro was on the verge of playing it cool and putting on an act; he was about to outright lie to his captain by saying "talk to who?" as if he had no idea what she was referring to. he settled with silence. he was grateful his non-response only earned him a sigh from the captain who did not press the topic any further.
"to you newbies, congratulations!" captain ashiro raised her glass, still half-filled with alcohol. her voice rang out over the place, everyone's conversations immediately falling quiet. "may the third division always be victorious in our battles to come", she recapped her speech.
the party showed no signs of slowing down. hibino kafka, a recruit in his thirties has been the centre of intrigue that has spanned for weeks now. hibino ossan - as what the others nicknamed him - had revealed in a bathroom conversation with other male rookies that he grew up with captain ashiro. ashiro mina likes dried squid; ashiro mina used to raise pets in grade school - everyone consumed any and every tidbit of trivia hibino disclosed about the usually stoic and serious third division commander. soshiro was among those invested in the rumor and you knew why. for a while, you also wondered how he would react once the rest of the troops learned about your own past with their vice-captain. would he deny it? or would he brush off any potential gossip that may arise from the revelation? if everyone discovered your shared history with hoshina soshiro, would it make him want to reconnect with you?
“you lot will start duty monday next week, but tomorrow will just be another workday for vice-captain hoshina and i”, captain ashiro said, having stood up from her seat, preparing to take off. “no, you can stay”, she said to some of the newbies who have started to get up too.
“nah, captain, why don’t we bring them along to help us file all the tedious paperwork?”, soshiro interjected in his familiar upbeat tone. the crew bursted into snickers; captain ashiro gave soshiro a perplexed look, obviously puzzled about the sudden shift in his mood. testing her theory, she looked at your direction.
captain ashiro couldn't make out why, but you were giggling at whatever your seatmate had said, elegant hand covering your mouth, eyes crinkled. she understood soshiro then - she was not foreign to feeling uneasy inside when she sees someone so physically near someone she cares about after all. "let's go, hoshina", she tucked her pity for the vice-captain away.
"do you guys think they are dating?" a particularly tactless rookie sitting at your table had asked immediately after captain ashiro and hoshina were out the sliding doors.
"i bet they're not", you blurted out a little too soon, a little too sure. you did not mind clipping your accent, your kansai-ben thick and heavy. your fellow officers looked at you, expecting an explanation for your outburst. "i mean -" you stuttered, "that would be awkward, i guess."
"you know to think of it, you're from himeji too, right?" a few more recruits have started to listen in on the exchange. these people can smell the truth off me, you thought. you wanted to smack yourself in the face.
"we went ta the same high school together, that's all", you admitted, feeling backed in a corner. tomorrow when you get questioned for this imprudent behavior, you can probably blame it all on the alcohol. "and grade school", you continued, loose-lipped now.
you still liked wearing pink bows in your hair when you met him. an only child of kind parents, you never experienced having to ask for something you like; you were doted on and spoiled so you were reasonably upset when a young hoshina soshiro did not give you the time of his day. your family has just moved to hyogo shortly before that, and you were anxious to make friends; since your early age, you had made it your mission to make soshiro acknowledge you.
"you dun wanna play with me, because ya are stupid", you told soshiro-kun once. "oka-san said all boys are stupid", you had the nerve to elaborate after he pouted at you, his unkempt bangs sticking on his sweaty forehead, his clothes dirty from training all day.
"yer pretty", he responded and you felt the blush crept up on your cheeks. "pretty annoying."
"come on, spill some tea!" someone's palm connected with the table, jolting you out of your trance. "we have another hibino-senpai situation on our hands!" they declared, grabbing you by the arm and shaking you a bit. if it was meant to encourage you to tell more childhood tales between you and the vice-captain, it worked really, really well.
"he's always had that haircut even as a kid", you said, misinterpreting the kind of story your companions wanted you to tell, judging by their disappointed looks. “i- i don’t know what else to tell you guys”, you held up your hand in surrender.
“do you have a crush on him?” you choked on your drink, caught off guard.
vexed at his absent-mindedness, soshiro was walking back to the izakaya place alone when he heard the commotion. he is going straight to bed once he gets back to the base, but he would have to retrieve his uniform jacket first from his seat earlier.
“you totally do, don’t you!” it stopped sounding like a question and more of an accusation you could not deny. “you like hoshina-san!”
“i -i do, yes... but what of it, huh?" he couldn’t see you but he would recognize the soft timbre of your voice anywhere. soshiro felt like a victorian gentleman getting a glimpse of a woman’s ankle for the first time listening in on the uproar of cheers after your confession.
“the three of us attended the same high school, soichiro-kun was a grade ahead”, you said. soshiro froze. you are talking about his brother. “he has always been good at everything, t'was hard not ta like him.”
soshiro closed his eyes, attempting to steady his breathing. he always had his suspicions - for the ceremony earlier his brother even took a day off his busy schedule as the commander of the sixth division to attend as a guest. he should have known.
last year, soshiro’s squad fought a lizard-type kaiju with a fortitude of above 8. like the reptile, a cut made on any of its limbs was useless due to advanced regeneration. a fractured rib, extremely bruised arms, and a dislocated shoulder were what it costed soshiro to win against the monster. his bitterness threatening to consume him, he cannot believe that you confirming his worst fears would hurt more than that fatal experience.
of course, he said to himself. it’s not like he can fault you for liking soichiro - everyone did. as the firstborn son, their father always had favored him. soichiro has been the more skilled swordsman between them; he was the golden child, charismatic and talented with an effortless charm - like moths to a flame he would attract people, and even in his silence he would overshadow soshiro.
soshiro didn’t stand a chance against his own flesh and blood.
he was a teenager when he dreamed of running away from the constant but inevitable competition he had with his brother. scouted for the third division, he relished on the freedom. but how do you escape the reality of the one you love loving the one person you could never measure up to?

Dancing in the Rain
Request: It's the middle of the night in late spring, so it's pretty warm out. It starts to rain and (Y/N) drags Bakugo outside to dance in the rain with her. Pairing: Bakugo x f!reader wc: 1.1k
Tumblr media
Katsuki's nose was buried deep in his textbook. He unconsciously clicked his pen as he reviewed the study material for a second time. He glanced at the little, black digital clock sitting on the corner of his desk. It was 12:40 am, way past his bedtime, but he was making an exception since final exams for the third year were mere weeks away.
He slumped back in his chair and brought his hands behind his head. He stared at his wall, aglow from the light of his study lamp. A soft patter on the window interrupted the silence of his room. He glanced at it to see streaks of water running down the glass.
Tch. Annoying sound.
He got up and pulled the curtains together in hopes of drowning out that pesky tapping on his window. He put a hand on his lower back. It hurt sitting in the same position for so long. He decided to grab a snack from the kitchen before finally heading to bed.
Much to his delight, the common areas were deserted. Just like him, everyone had holed up in their rooms to study. Everyone wanted to pass their final year. Though he was glad he was the only one here, a part of him was hoping to run into a certain someone.
He walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, inspecting his options. As always, the fridge was void of anything worth his taste buds. He rolled his eyes at Sero's stash of orange juice bottles and grabbed one.
He leaned by the fridge and took a sip of the juice. He threw his head back and stared at the ceiling, thinking back on his first day at UA. It was a little hard to believe that he and his class would be graduating soon. His therapy sessions and rehab had been working well. He could move his arm to some extent again.
There was, unfortunately, one department where progress was slow. There was a classmate of his, a girl who'd managed to claw her way into his circle during his first year and take hold of his heart-you. The more he pushed you away back, the more you clung onto him, set on befriending him no matter how much he cursed and swore at you to 'stay the fuck away.' He'd given up on shooing you away at some point. He had accepted his fate. He'd actually wait to hear your voice in the classroom every morning.
He stopped denying that he had a big fat crush on you in his second year, but due to the war and its aftermath, he thought it'd be best to wait, and here he was still waiting. Every time he tried to confess, his body ended up betraying him. His throat would close, not permitting him to say a word, his hands sweating excessively, his stomach twisting and churning, and his face flushing. Even his damn eyes. All he could do was stare at you like you were some otherworldly, ethereal creature while grinning like an absolute idiot at your words.
"Fool," he mumbled, tossing the empty bottle into the trash can. A cool breeze licked his skin, making him shudder. He glanced at the door to the backyard to see that it had been left slightly ajar.
'Which one of these idiots left that open?' he thought to himself.
He opened the door fully, frowning at the rain. It hadn't stopped yet. Just as he was about to close the door, he spotted a figure not far away, with their back to him, swaying back and forth slowly. He squinted his eyes and realised that it was you. Through the steady thrum of nature's white noise, your soft humming drifted to his ears, and he stayed put, observing you.
It was no secret that Bakugo Katsuki hated rain. He hated the way it made his toes cold and uncomfortable in his shoes, the way it made his hair plaster to his scalp and the way it made his clothes stick to his skin. But despite hating rain with a burning passion, he found himself walking towards you, knowing damn well how much you loved the rain and that you wouldn't come inside even if he reminded you that you'd get a cold.
"Trying to get sick before finals?" He said, coming to a stop behind you. He watched you turn around, his heart fluttering when your expression lit up.
"Think I'll get a free pass if I end up with a cold?" You joked.
"Nah, Aizawa will drag you out of bed and have you take the exam," Bakugo laughed. "What're ya doin' out here anyways? Let's go inside."
"You know I can't resist sanding in the rain," You grinned. "Dance with me?"
"In the rain? Fuck no."
"Come on, it'll be fun. I'll even sing you a song." You insisted, grabbing his arms. He raised his eyebrows in amusement when you placed one of his hands on your waist and slipped your own hand into his other. You sang one of Kirishima's 'manly' songs, singing terribly off-key on purpose just to make him roll his eyes and smile.
You laughed when you almost tripped over his foot and fell into his chest. He smiled softly, forgetting about the annoying raindrops slapping his back and making his tank top stick to his skin as if you were the very sun that had driven away the rain.
"What were you humming earlier?" He asked, unaware that he'd started rocking side to side along with you.
"I don't know. My grandmother used to hum it all the time, so it stuck to me." You looked up at him, taking note of how close you guys were. You could see drops of water clinging to his hair and making it droop, the goofy smile on his face making your heart race, "Want me to hum it?"
"Yeah," he breathed.
He listened to you hum the song, his movements slowing down with yours. He gently pulled you in closer with his hand on your back so you were standing almost chest to chest.
"It's fun, isn't it?" You asked once you were done humming the song. You held back a smile when colour rose to his cheeks.
His eyes widened when you wrapped your arms around him and rested your head on his chest, swaying back and forth unhurriedly. He wished you could hear the song his heart sang for you and that his heartbeat would spill out his feelings for you to see.
"Well, I'm dancing in the rain with you between my arms," he spoke at last, hugging you back and putting his chin on your head, "so yeah, it's fun."
He felt you nod into him, your grip around him tightening. There was so much he ached to tell you, but for now, he wanted to freeze this moment and live it forever, slow dancing in the rain with you pressed against his chest. It was perfect. Everything else could wait.

Tumblr media
The morning sun leaks through the curtains, warm beam of light waking you from your slumber. Your eyes flutter open, scanning the room landing on your alarm clock.
7:34
Shit…
Jumping out of bed you throw on your uniform, making sure to smooth down any wrinkles on your skirt.
The routine you normally took an hour to do was condensed into 10 minutes, you rush out the door heading to the classroom building.
Yaga taps his foot expectantly, staring at the door. As it slides open you shrink under his gaze, he wants to tell you for the 100th time that 'class starts at 7:30' but instead, he just sighs.
You head to your seat, avoiding the scrutinizing gaze of your classmates.
Yaga begins the lesson “So.. regarding cursed technique. The best way to understand the process is through this mathematical formula…”
You rest your chin on your hand, already dozing off. Nothing against your teacher of course, but you knew all of this already. Your eyes drift from the blackboard to the window. The sky looked absolutely picturesque, a light blue with whiffs of white painting the expanse. You would rather be anywhere but here, the birds gliding through the air, the leaves dancing in the wind…
You then catch a glimpse of someone walking outside.
It’s Suguru walking down the stone path to the practice building. You tap on the window ever so slightly.
Tap tap
He looks around to identify the source of the noise, looking up he sees you, waving discreetly.
He blocks the sun from his eyes with one hand, the other hand waves back.
You laugh at this, earning a glare from your teacher.
You take another glance at the window, he’s still standing outside. Maybe this is the distraction you need, you rise from your desk, mutter a quick ‘bathroom’ and hurriedly leave the building.
“Suguru!” You shout as he walks away. He turns around shooting you a smile and waving.
“How’d you get out of class?” He teases, pushing his shoulder into yours as he walks side by side with you.
“Bathroom break.”
He hums in response, taking slower strides to make sure you can keep up.
“Where’s Toru’?”
Suguru groans softly at the mention of his best friend.
“He’s out on a mission..” He doesn’t want to talk about Satoru right now… this is the first time he’s gotten any alone time with you, and he’s freaking out.
“So what are you going to do with your time?” You quip.
He only smiles looking out at the field they’re approaching. “I wanted to read.”
“Read.”
“I can hardly get any quiet time when Satoru’s around. So I’d like to spend it reading.”
“Ahh” You say quietly, did he mean quiet time without you? You left class, hoping he’d entertain you and all he wanted was some peace and quiet-
“Join me .”
Mid-step, your eyes go wide in astonishment. “Are you sure?” You look down at your feet, making sure you don’t trip. He only laughs in response.
“I’d like it if you kept me company” and your heart flutters.
So there you are resting on your palms, looking up at the clouds.
Suguru props himself up against a tree, skimming the book. He looks so good right now, his bangs falling in front of his face, coffee-brown eyes scanning the pages of the novel. You can’t help but steal glances at your best friend. Suguru feels the warmth of your gaze on him, smirking. An idea pops into his head
“Come here (Y/N).” He pats his lap with his free hand. You pause.
“H-huh?” The familiar heat rising to your cheeks.
Suguru’s eyes narrow, a grin spreading across his lips.
“Just rest your head, I can hear you thinking from here” he muses. You mentally hit yourself for assuming he meant something else. He was always so good at picking up when you were in your own head, you hesitatingly oblige, laying your head on his firm thighs. His hand rests atop your head, slender fingers stroking your hair gently. You hum at the sensation, eyes fluttering shut.
“Better?” He whispers, flipping a page. You look up at your best friend, even from this angle he looked amazing.
“What are you reading Sugu?”
He looked down at you, smiling behind his book.
“It’s silly really, one of those vampire novels Shoko likes to read.” You had seen her on occasion, reading with what little downtime she was given.
“Tell me about it.”
He pauses for a moment.
“It’s about a vampire Prince-“
“Oooooo” He laughs heartily, the noise vibrating through the air.
“He’s torn between the love of his life — a mortal woman, and his immorality.”
You grab the book from his hands, turning so your chin was on his lap to read the book. You scan through a page; cheesy but.. Intriguing.
“Why doesn’t he make her into a vampire?”
Suguru smiles looking at you.
“He doesn’t want to damn her to live for eternity, cares too much about her.”
You flip to the next page.
“But if he loves her, wouldn’t he want her to be with him forever?”
He closes his eyes and sighs ‘if only it was that simple…’ Suguru resumes lightly stroking your hair. He doesn’t respond though, for fear of letting his true feelings show.
You turn another page. Your eyes widen at the first line- Suguru smirks when he feels your body tense up.
“Something wrong?”
“This book… It’s-“
“Read it.”
“Huh?”
“Out loud, tell me what it says.” You couldn't deny him when he spoke in that voice, light as a feather as if speaking any louder would break you. You hesitate before beginning to read.
“H-his… hand snakes under her shirt, cupping her breast. Gwendolyn moans softly in response. She tilts her head to the side.. a s-silent invitation for him to have a taste..” You trail off, cheeks hot to the touch. There was no way in hell you were going to read what he did next. Suguru moves his hand from your hair to your back, lazily tracing patterns.
“Hmm? Why’d you stop?” Trying to feign ignorance, but you can practically hear his amusement. As if in that moment you become hyper-aware that you’ve been resting on your best friend’s lap, you shoot up throwing the book at his broad chest.
“You pervert.” You mumble, hugging your knees to your chest and looking down at the grass.
“You’re the one who swiped my book from me~” he muses.
You look at him only briefly before your heart starts beating rapidly again. You fix your gaze on the clouds.
Oh that one looks like a dolphin! That’s a bunny jumping over a fence! You just read smut in front of your best friend. And that one looks like a… dog?
“Hey (Y/N)?” You cast a cautious glance over at Suguru who is looking at the clouds also.
“Yeah?”
“Why don’t you have a boyfriend?”
“W-what?!” Your eyes widen. He only chuckles in response. ‘Because you’re not looking for a girlfriend’. Is what you would’ve said if you weren’t having a mini heart attack right now.
“A boyfriend is too much work! Plus I’ve already got my hands full with you and Satoru!” You wave your hands as if to fan away the embarrassment. Hoping your answer was convincing enough.
“Me and Satoru huh..” Suguru says plainly, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
The two of you sit in silence for a moment. The wind breezes past, the cold air hitting your flushed face.
“Well, what about you?” You speak up, your voice finding new confidence.
“I…” he trails off, his gaze meeting yours. The world seems to pause looking into his amber eyes, the birds, clouds, and the wind await Suguru’s sentence. He opens his mouth-
“I’m back bitches!”
You both let out a deep exhale. Recognizing the voice of your previously absent best friend.
He skips up to the tree, squeezing his lanky body in between you two, he loops his arm around both of your necks pulling you into a hug.
“Hey Satoru..” Suguru groans, lifting his arm off.
“You guys must’ve been so bored without me~” he grins, sticking his tongue out at Suguru. Meddling bastard-
“Well, it was definitely quieter.” The raven-haired boy quips back. You notice how tense Suguru is, but it must just be your imagination… right?
“How was the mission?” You try to change the rapidly declining mood.
“Ohhh you know-” He leans back against the tree, back of his head resting on his hands, closing his piercing blue eyes. “Grade two curse attacked a small village. No match for me really.” Satoru lets out an exasperated sigh.
As he continues you and Suguru exchange glances, you roll your eyes at some of the comments and he smiles in response. Satoru opens his eyes observing his two friends’ secret conversation.
“Hey! What’re you makin’ faces about?” He pouts.
You fold your arms, looking at the white-haired teen. Seeking pay back for him interrupting the moment.
“Toru, how much did you get paid for this mission?”
Satoru tilts his head to the side, his shades sliding down.
“Oh? ‘bout 30 million Yen.”
You smile standing up, stretching your legs, and shaking them awake.
“Perfect, you’re buying us sushi.”
“HUH?!”
Suguru stands too, letting out an exhale as he stretches his arms above his head.
“Sushi sounds great. I know just the place too.” Suguru hums. You both start walking, smiling softly at each other. He really did have the perfect smile…
Satoru shoots to his feet. Watching you both walk away in disbelief. He rushes to catch up with your disappearing figures.
“Hey! I didn’t agree to this.”
“Guys?”
“GUYS!!”

The Friday afternoon sun dipped slightly over the horizon, casting a golden hue on everything it touched. The warmth of the light filtered through the airy curtains of your living room, setting a serene ambiance that contrasted with the nervous flutters in your stomach. As you pulled on your favorite pair of jeans, memories from earlier in the week flashed through your mind. Molly had been thrilled with her school project, a heartfelt painting, and how Remus had been encouraging and excited as she was.
You fiddled with the hem of your shirt, taking a deep breath. It's just coffee, you reminded yourself. But the voice inside you, the one protective of Molly, wary of opening up to anyone again, whispered, that it’s more than that.
Seven years. Seven years since the man you'd trusted shattered your heart and left you alone to pick up the pieces, forcing you to build walls around your heart. Since then, Molly had been your universe, your prime focus. Dates seemed like a distant memory, almost another lifetime's activities, until a certain teacher of your daughter changed it all.
His casual yet earnest invitation had awoken emotions you'd buried deep, kindling both excitement and anxiety. You glanced at the clock – fifteen more minutes. Better get moving.
Tumblr media
The café Remus mentioned was quaint and charming, with an old-world vibe. Fairy lights hung from its wooden beams, casting a soft glow, creating an intimate setting. As you pushed through the door, a gentle bell tinkled above you, and the familiar rich aroma of coffee beans wrapped around you like a warm embrace. The ambiance was cozy, with clusters of small tables and plush chairs arranged to encourage quiet conversation.
You spotted Remus almost immediately. He was seated at a corner table, his back straight, glancing through the window with a thoughtful gaze. Today, he wore a simple yet well-fitted navy shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing the same watch you noticed in his classroom. His hair, as winter-brown as autumn leaves, framed his face in soft waves. When his eyes found yours, a warm smile spread across his features, and he stood up to greet you.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice like a balm to your jittery nerves. “I’m so glad you came.”
“Hi, Remus,” you replied, returning his smile with a slightly shaky one of your own. His genuine warmth made you feel more at ease. He pulled out your chair for you, a gesture that seemed both old-fashioned and remarkably sweet, but it made you blush, of course.
As you settled in, a waitress approached with menus, and you both ordered coffee. You opted for a lavender cappuccino, while Remus went for an americano. The initial awkwardness of meeting someone new began to melt away as the conversation started flowing.
“So, how has your week been?” Remus asked, his eyes sincere and attentive.
You sighed lightly, thinking of the everyday hustle and bustle that defined your life. “Busy, as usual. Work, school runs, helping Molly with her homework. It’s never a dull moment,” you said with a soft chuckle. “How about you? I already know that teaching a bunch of energetic kids must be quite the challenge.” The corners of your mouth turned up, as you gave him a small smile.
Remus laughed, a rich, warm sound that made you feel more at ease. “Oh, definitely. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Every day is different, and the kids have such unique personalities. Plus, they keep me on my toes, so I’m definitely not bored.” He chuckled, and you noticed that his eyes wrinkled.
It was cute.
The waitress returned with your coffees, and you both took a moment to savor the first sips. The rich, velvety taste of the cappuccino was exactly what you needed to calm your nerves.
“So, Molly seems really happy in your class. She talks about you quite a bit,” you said, breaking the silence.
“Does she now?” Remus replied, his eyes lighting up with genuine interest. “She’s a wonderful kid. Very bright and kind-hearted, it’s good that she talks a lot too. You’ve done an amazing job raising her.” He took a small sip of his hot coffee while not taking his eyes off of yours.
A surge of warmth spread through you at his compliment. “Thank you. She’s my world. I want to be the best for her.” Your shy smile filled his stomach with butterflies.
The conversation flowed easily after that, touching on various topics. Remus shared amusing stories about his childhood, growing up with a love for books and nature, and how he eventually found his calling in teaching. You found yourself drawn to his passion and sincerity. He, in turn, seemed genuinely interested in your life, asking questions about your work and about your experiences raising Molly. The more you talked, the more relaxed and connected you felt. It was as if all the years of guarding your heart had melted away in the presence of this kind, thoughtful man he was.
“And what about hobbies?” Remus asked, leaning forward a bit. “Do you have any time for yourself with such a busy schedule?” He gave you a smirk.
You laughed softly, a sound that came easier now. “Not as much as I’d like, but I try to carve out some time. I love reading, mostly when Molly’s asleep. And I enjoy baking. It’s therapeutic.”
“Oh, baking!” Remus exclaimed with genuine enthusiasm. “What’s your specialty?”
“Cookies, mostly. Molly loves helping me, and it’s always fun for her. Plus, they make the house smell amazing,” you replied, a hint of pride in your voice.
“I’d love to try them sometime,” Remus said, his eyes twinkling with interest. “I have a bit of a sweet tooth.”
“Well, if you play your cards right,” you said with a playful smile, “I might just bring you a batch.”
The light-hearted banter continued, and you began to feel something you hadn’t felt in a long time—hope. Remus wasn’t just a charming man; he was genuinely considerate, compassionate, and someone who seemed to understand the complexities of your life without you having to explain every detail.
As the conversation naturally ebbed and flowed, you found yourself sharing stories and laughter more freely, almost forgetting the initial nervousness that had gripped you at the start. There was a connection growing, a gentle intertwining of shared experiences and mutual respect.
At one point, the topic shifted to music, and Remus's eyes lit up as he talked about his love for old records and vinyl collections. “There’s something about the sound quality of a record,” he said, his hands animated as he spoke, “It's like it captures the soul of the music.”
You nodded, feeling a similar passion. “I completely agree. My dad used to have a huge collection. We spent many Sundays together, listening to everything from classic rock to jazz. Those are some of my favorite memories.” You smiled at the memory of your dad playing his favourite records after work.
Remus leaned back, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. “We should have a listening session sometime. I have a small collection myself. Maybe we can trade favorites?”
The idea filled you with warmth. Spending more time in Remus’s company felt like peeling away layers of guardedness you’d wrapped yourself in for so long. “That sounds wonderful,” you replied. “I’d like that a lot.” You chuckled.
As the hours passed, the café began to fill up with the evening crowd, but it felt like you and Remus were in your own little world. Eventually, you noticed the time and realized how late it had gotten. Neither of you wanted the night to end, but you knew you had responsibilities waiting at home.
“I should probably get going.” said reluctantly, glancing at your watch. “My friend stayed with Molly, and the time flowed so quickly.” You looked out the window, and the sun was already setting.
Remus’s expression softened with understanding, though there was a glint of disappointment in his eyes. “Of course. I didn’t noticed too, to be honest.” He quickly gathered up your things and payed the waitress, both of you standing up from the table. As you gathered your things, Remus walked with you to the door, holding it open for you like a perfect gentleman. The sun had set by now, and the evening air was crisp and cool. Streetlights cast a warm glow on the cobblestone paths as you stepped outside.
You reached for your coat, pulling it tighter around your frame as a gentle breeze blew. The evening air was cool and crisp, the gentle whisper of the wind cutting through the night. The streetlights on either side of the cobblestone path cast warm, gold-hued light.
“Do you mind if I walk you home?” Remus stopped you by gently tugging your arm, a hopeful note in his voice. “I’d like to make sure you get there safely.”
A smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you considered his words. The thought of spending more time with him appealed to you, and you were touched by his concern for your safety. After a brief pause, you responded, "Yeah, sure. If you’d like me to." It was something you weren’t accustomed to experiencing.
Remus and you continued your walk through the peaceful streets as night fully set in. Darkness enveloped you both, but he’s company provided an unexpected comfort, his low voice and soft laughs acting like a soothing balm, diminishing any lingering worry. As you strolled together, your hands hovered close to each other, occasionally brushing against one another, creating a silent connection between you two.
“I had a really great time tonight,” Remus said, glancing sideways at you. “It’s been a while since I’ve done something like this.” He confessed
“What, going on a date? ,” you admitted, your cheeks flushing slightly. The thought of him enjoying your company warmed you from the inside out. “ I haven’t done something like this in years, to be honest. Not sure you’d beat me.” You joked.
Remus looked down at you, a small smile on his lips. "Come on, that's not true," he said, his voice soft and low. "You're way too gorgeous to be on your own all the time.” His words came out in a whisper, a gentle declaration that held a hint of a hidden confession.
A hot flush crawled up your face as he spoke, you found yourself unable to control the smile that spread across your lips. Hoping he wouldn't notice your reaction, you quickly turned your head away, averting your gaze to hide your delighted expression.
Your heart fluttered as he nudged gently into your side, coaxing you to look at him. As soon as you raised your gaze to meet his, you noticed something different in his eyes. There was an undertone in his expression, something that revealed more than just friendly interest.
Remus leaned in closer, his voice a soft whisper, meant for your ears only. He looked at you with an intensity that sent a shiver down your spine as he spoke, his words low and serious. "I mean it," he said, his voice barely above a murmur. "You really are beautiful, Y/N. You're incredible."
The conversation drifted into comfortable silence as you strolled, each step bringing you closer to your home and to a moment that both of you felt was inevitable. Remus’s mind whirled with thoughts and emotions. He had been drawn to you the moment he first saw you, but now, having shared this evening with you, he realized it was more than a fleeting attraction. There was something genuine between you two, something worth exploring.
As you approached your house, you could feel a mixture of warmth and nervous energy building up. When you finally reached your front door, you turned to face Remus, the porch light casting a soft glow over you both.
“Thank you for tonight, Remus,” you said, feeling shy but happy. “I had a really good time.”
“Me too.” he replied, taking a small step closer. The space between you seemed to shrink, and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. “I—well, I wanted to say something…”
You looked up at him, your eyes wide and curious. The moment felt charged, as though the world had paused around you, leaving just the two of you in this bubble of anticipation.
Remus cleared his throat, his nerves getting the better of him for a brief moment. “I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you, Y/N, and I hope we can do this again sometime.”
Your heart fluttered at his words, and a shy smile tugged at the corners of your lips. “I’d like that very much, Remus.”
He took a deep breath, feeling a surge of courage. This was the moment he had been wanting all evening. As he stepped closer, his hand reached up gently to brush a stray lock of hair away from your face. The touch was tender, sending a shiver through you.
“Y/N, can I…” he trailed off, not quite finishing his sentence, his eyes locking with yours, full of unspoken questions and palpable sincerity.
Your breath caught in your throat, and you nodded slightly, giving him permission without words. Remus leaned in slowly, his hesitation clear as he tried to gauge your comfort. But instead of kissing your lips, which he so desperately wanted to do, he decided to start with something softer, something gentle.
His lips brushed against your cheek, a feather-light touch that held all the sweetness and warmth he felt. The kiss was brief but meaningful, lingering in its own delicate way. When he pulled back, you saw that his cheeks were tinged with a faint blush, his eyes searching yours, hoping for a positive reaction.
You felt a warmth spread through you and your heartbeat quickened. That simple, tender kiss had somehow meant so much more. You shyly averted your gaze for a moment, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks. “Thank you, again, it was the best night I’ve had in a while” you whispered, your voice filled with genuine appreciation and a hint of bashfulness. “And that was really sweet of you.” You glanced at your boots.
There was a visible tension in Remus’s body before he let out a long breath, his relief showing in the wide smile on his lips. "I wouldn’t have had it any other way, dove.” he confessed, a warm, affectionate smile lighting up his features, but the nickname that rolled off his tongue, stirred something inside you. It was a feeling you thought you hadn't experienced for the longest time. His voice, his presence, and the way he said it sent a shiver down your spine, causing your knees to almost give out beneath you.
You stood there for another moment, neither wanting to break the spell of the evening. Finally, you took a small step back towards your door. “I should get inside. Molly’s probably waiting for me.”
Remus nodded, though he looked reluctant to see you go. “Of course. Have a good night, you two. And thank you for tonight, it was wonderful to get to know you.”
You returned his smile, warmth and contentment spreading through you as you unlocked your door. “Good night, Remus. Take care.”
With that, you stepped inside, closing the door gently behind you. The house was quiet save for the soft sounds of the night outside. As you leaned against the door for a moment, replaying the evening in your mind, you couldn’t help but feel a rush of emotion. The walls you had carefully built around your heart felt just a little less imposing tonight.
You sighed contently, then moved towards Molly’s room to check on her. Finding her sound asleep, curled up with her favorite stuffed animal, brought a smile to your face. You gently stroked her hair, planting a soft kiss on her forehead. The peace you felt in that moment was something you hadn’t experienced in a long time.

Miles Morales Headcanons
Miles Morales x Reader
557 words
In honor of Across the Spider-Verse releasing in theaters this Friday, I decided to come out of my cocoon and post some fluff about our beloved.
Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Late at night, after hours patrolling the city on a Saturday, Miles swings over to your apartment. It’s late, he knows that, but a little part of him hopes that you are awake and your window is unlocked so he can make up for the time lost between the two of you. It doesn't matter how heavy sleep is wearing on his body, Miles always climbs up to your bedroom window to check on you; to see if you're safe, before going home. With his fingers sticking onto the brick beside your window, he peaks through the curtains of your room to catch a glimpse of one of his favorite sights; your body snuggly curled up underneath your duvet covers sleeping soundly. Before he thiwps away, Miles pulls out his phone to send you a text that you'll be sure to see first thing in the morning. “Buenas noches, mi amor<3”
In the afternoons, Miles’ head nods as he goes in and out of sleep during lunch hour. Ganke is in the middle of a rant while you listen to him with faux understanding. If Miles were in front of anyone else, he would be considered rude to fall asleep in the middle of someone's conversation but, with you and Ganke being the only ones to know of Miles’ secret identity and what it entails, the two of you let it slide. You look at your boyfriend in his state of exhaustion. You slide your hand across the expanse of his broad shoulders and pull him into you; his head resting on your shoulder and nose tucked into your neck. For the rest of lunch, Miles finds his reprise in the warmth of your body.
Evenings when Miles just gets to be Miles are his favorite. Especially when those evenings are planned with you coming over to his apartment to have dinner with him and his family. With a knock on the front door, Miles starts out of his room to greet you with a sweet, soft kiss on the lips that causes him to blush before quietly letting you in. At the dining table, Miles watches you interact with his family like they're your very own. You and his mother gossip like sisters while you laugh at his father's jokes and embarrassing stories that make him want to melt into his chair. But, with all of the torment he endures for your entertainment, watching you interact with his family, the way you laugh with them, and connect with them; Miles can’t help but daydream about what dinners will be like when the two of you have a family of your own.
Early Monday mornings aren’t what they used to be for you. Waking up extra early to make the commute to Visions Academy was still very much in the plans for your morning routine. But, being up early now that you're with Miles means being able to take early morning swings with him before school starts. Miles would surprise you with your favorite breakfast sandwich and a kiss before he swung you both to school. Inside, hand in hand, Miles walks you to your first class, giving you a chaste kiss on the cheek goodbye. Before fully entering the classroom, you watch him sprint down the hallway to make it to his classroom before he’s marked tardy…again.

you could wrap your head around it. why - why he hated you so much..
“ get outta my way y’damn extra! ”
gosh he was so mean. a- always shouting at you, there was no inside voice with him..
you tried just ignoring him, averting your gaze in the hall, but he was just so, so damn pretty you couldn’t find it in you to look away.
“ don’t worry about him, bubbles. he’s just a stick in the mud.. ” tsu said, nudging your shoulder. you took a breath as you finally pulled your gaze from bakugo. you turned to tsu, heart beating slightly faster than normal, and eyes drier than what you were used to.
“ s- sorry what? ” he made you distracted. completely derailing your train of thought with a grinding halt.
“ oh my gosh you like him, don’t you! ” you swatted ochaco’s arm, almost offended she thought such a thing.
she wasn’t wrong.. spot on in fact.
you couldn’t deny the feelings you had for your classmate, for your neighbor.
you threw your face in your hands, deep frown tugging at your lips. you squeezed your eyes shut as a warm hand landed on your back.
“ it will be okay bubbles, just don’t think about it.. okay? ” you heard ochaco’s voice say. you outwardly groaned, pushing all the air out your lungs.
the end of the day couldn’t come fast enough. you were overstimulated - the shuffling footsteps were too loud, the sliding of the classroom doors.. it was too much. you didn’t know you were shaking until you put your hands on the water fountain. you barely heard the footsteps approaching you from behind - everything seemed so dulled.. at least with the blood pounding behind your ears.
“ goddammit can’t get something to drink without- ”
“ why do you hate me so bad, hm? what could i have done when these are the first sentences i am ever speaking to you. ” your body didn’t give you a chance to process - give him a chance you process. you were already sliding open the door to your classroom when the words you said to him sank in.
he didn’t say anything to you since then. he didn’t look your way, and you didn’t look his. it was only a week since your last interaction, and yet bakugo couldn’t get you out of his head. across the lunch room, he watched you with narrowed eyes, palms sweatier than normal.
denki pulled away from conversation with their friends to look at bakugo following his gaze, a wide grin settling on his face.
“ dude, just go up to her. ” bakugo didn’t yell, to his friends’ surprise. all he did was push his chair out, the sound of which made everyone turn to face him, grab his tray and dump it before walking out. his hands were shoved into his pocket, lips fumbling with curse words as he made his way out of the cafe.
you were sound asleep, dreaming of something undeniably and utterly outlandish when you heard faint taps. you pulled yourself from sleep, you waited a while but you didn’t hear anymore. with a roll of your eyes, you laid back down, sinking back into your duvet sheets. just as you were drifting, the taps started again. they were coming from your window.
you pulled yourself out of bed, annoyance pooling at your throat. you pushed the curtains aside to see bakugo, pillow and tiny rocks in his hands.
what was he doing here?
you pushed up the window, looking down at him.
“ what? ” you whisper yelled he made his way up to your window, still holding the pillow.
“ can’t sleep. ” you pulled him in and watched him take off his shoes, when he looked back at you, his eyes were red, puffy. your eyes narrowed at the sight,
he walks over to your bed and sits on it, tossing the pillow somewhere with the rest of the ones on your bed. you followed him, questioning his puffy eyes.
“ have you been crying? ” he looked at you, glaring - no he was squinting - at you. you stood in front of him, arms crossed as you waited for a response.
“ don’t wanna talk about it. ” you frown but hold yourself back from rolling your eyes. you look for a response, eyes looking anywhere but his. you don’t feel his arms going around your waist when you find an answer.
“ then why are you here? ” your body stiffens, his head was pressed into your stomach, strong arms around your waist holding you tighter.
“ i need you.. ” you laugh instinctively, covering your mouth to not wake your parents.
“ you hate me, bakugo. ” you mumbled, you looked down at him, hoping he wouldn’t feel your bounding heart. bakugo’s arms didn’t release you when he laid down in your bed. a strangled yelp left your lips as you fell on his chest.
“ well i need you more than i hate you right now.. ”

Her family had moved to Haddonfield, Illinois a little less than two weeks ago for work reasons, for a girl who was barely nine years old she understood it quite well, she even liked the change of environment, without a doubt for the little girl that little one The town was beautiful and quiet, he was really happy to have found a peaceful place where he would be happy with his parents.
"Y/N, Honey! Come down now, dinner's ready!" called her mother from downstairs, breaking her out of her little bubble of imagination. She opened the door to her room and hurried down the stairs, instantly smelling the pleasant aroma of freshly prepared food, knowing immediately that her mother had prepared her favorite dish, a delicious Bolognese pasta with cheese and toasted bread.
"I'm here, mommy!" She said arriving in the kitchen to sit in the small dining room for four people, seeing how her father was there calmly reading a newspaper, which he then put down when the little girl arrived.
He hummed a little with a mischievous smile on his face before he began to speak, drawing the attention of his curious daughter "Y/N Daughter, we already found school, starting tomorrow you will start your classes again, aren't you happy?" she announced and asked her daughter waiting for an answer "It's the school we saw a few blocks from here, I'll be able to take you every day before I go to work"
The little girl just smiled a huge smile to jump happily, going to hug her father. "Yes, dad! I'm very happy, I'll be able to make new friends!" She was excited, above all because now they won't have to look for a teenage babysitter who only concentrates watching pretty boys and pull her by the hand to take her to school, she loved the fact that her father was now going to take her.
After that, dinner went quite normally while they told the little girl what her school was like and that she was going to have a great time, earning a smile from her, who was surely not going to be able to sleep from excitement that night, thinking about what the other children in their school and classroom were going to be like. As soon as he finished, he left his plate in the sink and thanked for the food, went up to his room to brush his teeth in the small bathroom he had there, he changed and put on his animal pajamas, went to the window to close it. and close the blinds, but before doing so, he could see a blonde boy with hair down to his shoulders peek out. They made eye contact, and the girl shyly waved with her hand and a small smile, receiving a somewhat surprised and confused look and then shyly returning the wave with her hand, and closed the curtain, leaving the girl looking out, thinking that she could speak another day with the neighbors child.
Tumblr media
It was already daylight, opened her eyes with extreme happiness, getting out of bed as soon as she heard her mother knock on the door to get her up and help her get ready for her new school.
Minutes passed and her mother was already combing her hair, she let her put on that cute pair of baggy jean shorts that reached her knee with the favorite band t-shirt, his mother combed his hair in medium hair ponytail the top layers of her hair leaving the lower ones loose along with her adorable bangs, then she went down excitedly wanting to see how her mother was preparing her snack for the afternoon in her new lunch box, a delicious sandwich with avocado and mayonnaise (and obviously cheese with ham) was now inside the little pastel blue box along with fresh cut strawberry pieces and a carton of chocolate milk. She packed everything into her small shoulder backpack along with her notebook and pencil, closing it to wait for her father to finish breakfast, since she had stuffed everything into her as if she had never eaten out of excitement, wanting to leave now to her new school.
He waited patiently until he saw how his father finally finished. "Hurry up dad, we're too late!" The little girl rushed, jumping desperately. 'God, Y/N, we're going forty minutes early, wait a little,' he replied, going back up to brush his teeth and get what was missing in his work briefcase, making the little girl get desperate and start to go around the whole anxious room.
When she got back down, she said goodbye to her wife with a small kiss and hug around the shoulders. The girl copied her action and hugged her mother's legs and hips and said goodbye to her with a big hug. happy smile, receiving the same from her mother. When they finally left, she ran away absentmindedly, without noticing that a boy blonde with chubby cheeks was passing by, colliding and both of them falling to the ground with a crash. 'That makes you restless! Apologize to him now, honey,' her father shouted, closing the door from the porch.
"Uhm… Sorry, I was distracted, let me help you." He apologized immediately without taking into account his now scraped and somewhat bleeding knee, he got up quickly and held out his hand, waiting for the blonde boy he had seen the night before to take it. .
The boy looked at her doubtfully for a few moments and took the girl's hand, standing up from the ground and quickly picking up the small knife that came out of her pocket, hoping that the girl or the adult who was approaching them don't had noticed it. .
"Excuse my daughter, boy, she is quite excited to enter her new school, although I believe do you study there, would you like to join us?" She finally said as she reached the children's side, inviting the boy to come with them.
Distrustful, the boy gently shook his head with a bored look, beginning to walk, leaving the other two behind, until the little girl came forward and walked next to him.
"I'm Y/N, what's your name?" She asked as soon as he got to her side and held the strap of her backpack nervously.
"Michael" He responded without faltering, paying'nt attention to the girl next to him, hoping that she would not be noisy, unfortunately, the little girl did not stop talking to him all the way to school, receiving dry and annoyed responses from the blonde [ she will will move away like the others] he thought immediately after reaching the corner next to the institute.
Tumblr media
They arrived and the blonde boy simply entered the building quickly without speaking to the little girl or saying goodbye to the adult. The little girl just looked at him until he disappeared through the main door of the building, waiting for her father to speak and say goodbye to her, wishing her a good day.
"Well honey, I hope you have a good time here, and remember, anything ugly or bad they say to you, tell me or your mother, I love you, don't forget it." He said goodbye to her little daughter with a kiss on the forehead and a light hug, to get away from her a little, waiting for her to come in so he could leave without worries. The pretty girl walked timidly into her new school, looking for her address.
After the hallways suddenly emptied, indicating that classes had already started, the more nervously she began to search more quickly for the principal's office, finding it on the third floor where all the high school students were. She knocked on the door and waited patiently, until apparently a somewhat disheveled teacher opened it, looked down, and saw her.
"Do you need anything, honey?" She asked him with a certain false kindness, sketching a false smile that the innocent little girl did not notice, timidly playing with her fingers.
"Well… I'm new and I was looking for the principal's office to find out my classroom and schedule… Can you help me?" She said nervously, looking into her eyes as she finished speaking.
The older woman made a face, simulating a kind smile, "Sure, honey, wait a moment." He took her shoulder and made her go to a kind of 'waiting room' and left her sitting, while she saw the principal's office in front of her, where the teacher entered. A few long minutes passed and the woman finally came out with some papers in her hand and a look of annoyance on her face. "Come on, girl, I don't have all day," she urged, now in a less fake voice.
They walked through the hallways and down the stairs to the first floor again where they headed to a classroom a little away from the main exit. When they arrived, the teacher simply knocked on the door and entered, and spoke to the other woman inside, who looked at the door and gave her a warm smile, which made her nervous and she looked down at her feet.
Another tedious minute passed, the woman accompanying her came out with the papers already filled out "Here is your schedule and the list of materials you need, if you have any concerns tell your teacher" and with that she left, leaving him. she there at the door, until the woman called out to her when she opened the door.
"Okay kids, quiet!" She asked, raising her voice a little, drawing the attention of the children, who were speechless when they saw her. "This is Y/N, she will be your new partner from now on, I want their to treat her well and help her advance in her grades. Well Y/N, sit in the window seat, I will explain a bit what we were doing." He went to the assigned seat and sat down, leaving his suitcase on the small hook that was on the side of the table, and paying attention to what the teacher was saying with a nervous and shy look, feeling a small blush. on his face in the face of shyness.
They spent two hours where they saw some Language and the other where they saw Social Sciences, she took notes of what the teacher explained on the blackboard, and when she announced recess time, she didn't know what to do and stayed sitting looking the window, where you could see a road with one or another vehicle passing by. She was scared when a small group of girls and boys suddenly arrived at her seat, where they began to talk to her about trivial things, but that could not prevent her from seeing that he neighbor, the one she had bumped into hours before, was there, I hadn't noticed it when it arrived. She excitedly stood up from her seat, taking her snack without eat it, and walked to the side of the blonde boy who seemed somewhat displeased at not being alone in the classroom at recess that day.
"Michael! I didn't know you were in the same class! How exciting! Don't you think so?" She greeted the little girl, pulling a chair next to the child, sitting down, she saw that the taller child had nothing to eat and was only coloring with some crayons and colored pencils on a somewhat crumpled sheet of paper.
"Ah, I should have guessed, what a thrill" He mentioned without any interest or joy in his voice "What do you want?" she asked in a hostile manner, not looking at the girl next to her, as she continued coloring meaningless doodles on the page.
"Nothing! I just saw you and wanted to talk to you, it would be more entertaining than talking to the kids who came to my table out of nowhere, I also saw that you didn't have anything to eat, aren't you hungry? Can I share my snack with you!" offered, placing the blue lunch box on the little free space on Michael's table, opening it to reveal what her mother had packed for her.
The group of children who initially approached the little girl who had walked away from them now looked at them with great confusion. As soon as they spoke to her, they told her not to go near the strange boy of the classroom, but as soon as she saw him in the classroom completely alone, she went after him, they looked at each other very strangely and left, giving the innocent girl a confused and annoyed look.
"Don't bother" The blonde boy responded, still without turning around, remaining in great silence.
"Well, it doesn't matter, I'm still going to leave you food, even if it's half, it's bad that you're still hungry, Mikey!" The little girl answered, taking the Sandwich and biting it until she ate half, leaving the other remaining piece in the lunch box again, and then taking the strawberries and doing the same, also with the chocolate milk. All in view of the boy's surprised look at the girl's nickname and actions, he thought that she was going to leave after all, but she was still there, and her was really going to feed him.
Recess passed, and after making sure that Michael had really eaten what she left him, she returned to her seat with a smile, even though Michael was very quiet and dry when it came to talking, she did not stop talking to him, and she really enjoyed it, because she knew that despite that, Michael had listened to her at all times.
Then, hours passed until school finally ended, she turned to Michael again with a big smile.
"Michael! Do you want to go back to my father and me? Like this morning!" She offered excitedly, waiting for his response, she jumped off of happily when he gave her a vague nod quickly putting things away, afraid she would see the polaroids scattered all over he backpack.
Tumblr media
So days passed, which turned into weeks, and those weeks turned into months, and so on until finally he had lived in Haddonfield for a year and a half. I was on mid-year vacation with Michael, they had three weeks off and I was really enjoying it, today I was going with Michael to the stream that was a few streets near his house, where I was going to give Michael a surprise, I knew that they would both They had become really close, even Michael was possessive of her when she talked to other people and she got sad when she thought that Michael was going to leave her aside when they had different people in their school work.
He happily jumped out of his bed as soon as he woke up and headed downstairs where his mother was making breakfast while his father was getting ready for work.
"Mommy, mommy! Did you make them? Tell me yes, please!" She ran excitedly towards her mother, hugging her waist while he looked at her expectantly, waiting for an affirmative response.
She laughed at her daughter's haste, turning her head slightly to look at her. "Yes, I made the cookies that Michael likes so much, just like you asked me, sweetheart," her mother agreed, receiving a big smile from her daughter, who jumped up while still hugging her.
"And, did you also receive the Ring Pop i ordered?" She asked again this time with more insistence, because it was the most important thing she was going to give to her dear friend.
"Of course, honey, don't worry," she responded affirmatively again, making her daughter jump with excitement again, this time releasing her and running through the kitchen, making her laugh with amusement, "but don't hurry, first you're going to get ready and have breakfast, otherwise "You're not going out," she said when she saw that her little girl started looking for the cookies and candy all over the kitchen.
She snorted a little dissatisfied now, but she hurried, going up the stairs again, while her father went down them, surprising him with the hurry with which he was going, he arrived at his room again, and began to choose the clothes he would, she found a Michael's t-shirt, one that he had lent him one day when he went to his house for a sleepover, since his annoying sister had intentionally spilled all her juice on his t-shirt, Michael kindly lent him one of his t-shirts (without mentioning that it was his favorite in that moment) from the band Kiss, one of the many he had. She knew he had to return it, but he wanted to wear it that day, he took it along with an equally black Bermuda shorts and some slightly worn black converse. She went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth, then took a quick shower, changed and quickly went down to the dining room where her mother had already served breakfast to her and her father, she sat down and began to eat quickly.
"Darling, don't eat so fast, Michael isn't going anywhere" Her father scolded, seeing how his daughter was almost choking on the food for swallowing so quickly, his wife handed a glass of water to his daughter so she could the food will pass easily.
"Leave her, she is happy because she has almost reached two years of friendship with Michael and she wants to give him something" Her mother relieved, letting her daughter be, ignoring her father's scolding, as she continued to eat faster.
She let out a sigh and smiled "Well, I'll let it go just because I'm happy that she got someone special" she didn't understand why her father said that, although Michael was special, very special to her, she saw him as her best friend and other half, and not as someone to classify as 'someone special' in your family.
She finished breakfast and thanked, leaving the plate in the sink, she quickly brushed her teeth again and then said goodbye to her parents, before her father left, she ran to the house next door, where Michael lived, she He stood on tiptoe and reached for the bell, ringing it three times. He waited a few minutes, listening to the usual screams inside the house due to the multiple fights that Deborah, Michael's mother, had with her idiot boyfriend, he heard steps approaching the door and heard how the man of the house screamed. 'Michael, you're not as much of a sissy as I thought after all!' She clearly got upset, she hated how that old man treated he dear friend, but she couldn't do anything.
The door opened and she watched as Michael opened the door with his plump lips pursed adorably, who upon seeing her, with a small smile, softening his gaze, hugged her and greeted her.
"Y/N! I thought you would come a little later, I hope you didn't rush to eat for you came quickly" guessed her dear blonde friend, stepping aside for her to pass "Sorry for the mess, wait for me at the living room, I'm going to bring something and I'll come back to lower,” he invited her while he accompanied her to the living room, leaving her sitting.
She waited until she listen choose how Michael went down the stairs and said to her mother: 'mom! I'll go out with Y/N for a while and I'll be back in the afternoon!' and with that, she took her hand and they left, before hearing her sister's constant complaints.
They walked for a while while talking about anything that came to mind until they reached the small stream where they looked for a tree with good shade to sit. When they found one, the little girl who is now 10 years old, she spoke up.
"You did bring your Ring pop, right?" She asked as took out his, it was of strawberry and the plastic of the ring was an electric blue color, and then looked at his friend, waiting for an answer.
"Ah… Yes, of course, I hope you like the cherry one, I didn't find any other flavor," he mentioned, taking the candy out of his pocket in the same way, revealing a ring of the same brand, but with colored plastic somewhat bright yellow.
"Don't worry, Mikey! You know I love cherry" Of course he knew it, but he wasn't going to reveal the fact that he only really found apple or orange candy, it took him a long time to find a one of cherry one since it was the best seller, but he would search everywhere just to find something she wanted or liked. He couldn't hide the blush on her pale cheeks at that thought.
"Well, then why did you want me to bring one?" She asked after trying to control the slight blush, and waited, watching as the girl's cheeks also turned red from her nerves, giving her an adorable sight, she tried to stop herself from cracking a smile.
"Well… You know that in a few months we will celebrate two years of friendship… And well, I appreciate you very much, and I wanted to give you something to celebrate… Here, I asked my mother to make this for you" he said, handing him the box decorated with twisted hearts and glitter. Since he came home, Michael was curious about the small decorated box, but he didn't mention anything.
He took it in his somewhat chubby hands, and opened it, he saw several homemade cookies with chocolate chips and lemon, his favorites, he also saw several packages with gummy bears and small chocolates and bonbons, next to them, a letter on a page of notebook. , folded like an envelope and sealed with a children's notebook sticker.
"Read the letter when you need it, I made it for when I can't be there for you and you miss me" The boy nodded and put the letter in the box and closed it again, leaving it aside.
"Thank you very much Y/N… I really love you very much…" He said moved as he hugged her tightly, she was very special to him and sometimes he thought that she was too much for him, but still, he needed her among so many problems .
"I love you too Mikey.." she responded, returning her hug, giving him a small kiss on her cheek, and then separating from him. "Now open your Ring Pop, let's make a promise for when we're older and twenty-one," she said, and took the strawberry candy and opened it, taking it gently without putting it on, making Michael repeat his action.
Then, she spoke again, looking him straight in the eyes with great affection "I, Y/N L/N, solemnly promise that I will be with you throughout my life, that we will be best friends and that we will be there at all times, in good times, in bad times, and be best friends forever, and forever" he said, as he took his friend's free hand, and put on the strawberry ring, intertwining their fingers, leaving each one a free hand. "Now you, Michael."
The boy, who was stunned by the girl's gaze, could not pay attention to the words she said, much less after she intertwined her hands in that cute way "I uh… I, Michael Myers… Ehm, I promise to always be with you at all times, and to be the best of friends forever, and ever" he imitated distractedly while doing the same, and intertwined the other hand, leaving them both in a nice moment.
"Well… I heard that when two people love each other, and want to be together for a lifetime, they get married when they are older, and seal their promises with a kiss, then, when we are twenty-one, you promise me that you will marry me." ?" she asked innocently, getting closer to him, staying a short distance away, making a blush begin to adorn both of their faces.
"I promise you Y/N, I promise you that when we grow up, I will make you happy and I will be with you at all times" And so, he shortened the short distance and brushed his lips with hers, in an innocent kiss, which was soon inexperienced, sealing his great promise, which would continue throughout his life.

SATORU GOJO: SAY DON'T GO
i said 'i love you,', you say nothing back.
Tumblr media
☾₊ ⊹ TAGS: angst no comfort, friends to lovers, reader and satoru were classmates, reader defected, post-suguru's death, not proofread yet pls be patient w me i just had this in my drafts for too long
after ten years, you meet again; only this time he's here to kill you - whether he can bear to face you or not.
wc: 4.3k (woah)
Tumblr media
You look the same as you did the day you left, and Satoru really wishes you didn’t. Maybe this would be easier for him if your days as a curse user and Jujutsu Tech defector somehow disfigured you beyond recognition. If you’d taken advantage of some other curse user you knew and donned some glamour or disguise.
But no. You look the same as he remembered you. Your name rung in his ears when he saw you from his vantage point atop the abandoned school building, echoing just as it had haunted him since he left.
She’s here. She’s here. She’s—
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
“She’s gone.”
Satoru felt like he was going to choke. The door to your dorm was ajar, Shoko standing beside it somber, an unreadable expression on her face.
The door hinges squealed as it slowly slid open. Lo and behold: A half empty bottle of tea on your desk. Empty bags of your favorite chips in your desk trash bin. The curtains fluttering in the open window like they always did because you liked the breeze while you slept. Your bedsheets made, just as they were every morning when you four set off for the day’s missions and drills for the last few years.
And your uniform, folded neatly on your bed, unworn.
Satoru’s mouth went dry, his hand went slack, uncurling from the fist he’d locked it in as he stormed over moments prior. “No. She’s coming back, she left her tea—“
Shoko interrupts him, "Satoru."
“She wouldn’t just up and leave, she—“
“Satoru-”
“Did Suguru rope her into this? Shoko, you haven’t seen them talking have you? Sure I was a bit preoccupied but maybe—“
“Satoru,” Shoko said, firm but resigned. “She’s gone.”
The longer he looked the more it set in: your bag missing from its hook. Your things missing from your desk. A photo of all of you Jujutsu sorcerers beaming at the camera unpinned from your cork board and fluttered to the floor, wrinkled at the corners from drops of water.
“I see.”
Shoko slipped a hand into her coat pocket.
Satoru turned on his heel and walked off down the hallway.
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
Goodbye.
That’s a word he’s said so much of in the last few years that he doesn’t remember anymore how to say hello. What does he say? What does he say, knowing the reason he was here now — that he was sent to kill you for once and for all?
Satoru had tracked you all the way out here. You’d gotten sloppy after Suguru’s death. The higher ups didn’t think a dirty defector like you had the capacity to mourn like that - they were convinced it was bait. It's why they sent their silver bullet himself. But Satoru knew otherwise. He knew you were too careful, too sharp to make a mistake like that any other day, and here he found you - in an abandoned school building in a small town by the countryside.
You sat in the crumbling classroom, knees to your chest on a rickety chair covered in cobwebs, tracing patterns on the dust on the desk surface. You look up, your expression neutral. You weren't surprised to see him here, like you expected him, even knowing that meant certain death. It almost made him want to laugh.
So you were feeling nostalgic, huh?
It was sunset on a quiet late summer evening, the clouds streaking along the horizon like pink and golden brushstrokes against a violet sky. What a beautiful day to die, you think to yourself. Pink. Gold. Violet.
And there he stood, silhouetted save for his eyes.
Blue. Stunningly blue.
Perhaps this is mercy, then.
You speak first.
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
“It’s a pleasure to meet you!” Hands at your side, you bow deeply and snap back up to attention. Your mother coached you extensively before you departed for Tokyo on how to be respectful to the city folk, and you rehearsed the self-introduction she taught you to a tee. Fresh-faced, thirteen and bright-eyed, from the moment the train stopped at Tokyo station you put on your brave face.
The boy standing in front of you, however, was not terribly impressed. He stared at you blankly for a few moments.
“Right,” he mumbled, before turning on his heel to walk away.
“H-hey!” you go red in the face, “I wasn’t done-“
He holds his hand up. “Yeah, yeah. I’ve heard enough.”
You scoff at his bluntness. Well this was no way to start off a relationship with someone she was meant to call her classmate. “You’re not going to bother telling me who you are?” You call out after him. He stops.
“… You’re being serious?” he looks at her over her shoulder. His eyes flash blue - blue enough to rival the hue of the sky above them. She doesn’t think she’s ever seen eyes that blue before.
“… Well yeah-“
“Damn,” he turns back around, though rather than venom in his voice there's almost a sense of amusement and curiosity. “They weren’t kidding. You really are a country bumpkin.”
Regardless, you felt a burning in your chest as you clenched a fist. “I’ll show ya a country bumpkin,” you muttered.
“Huh? Couldn’t understand your accent, country girl,” he called out over his shoulder. You grit your teeth.
“Oi!” you call out after him, “At least give me your name so I know what to call ya while I kick ‘yer ass!”
There was something endearing to him about someone who actually didn’t know who he was for once. Who didn’t approach him like some god or some weapon. He mutters your surname to himself. He remembers Yaga-sensei telling him something about how you came from an insignificant family of sorcerers in the countryside. Out of your entire lineage, only you turned out with a technique that could actually be useful. Of course you wouldn’t know much about Jujutsu clan politics or the heavyweight names. Alright. He’ll bite.
“Won’t need it. I’ll have your ass in the dirt first, kid.”
“Who ‘ya callin’ kid!” Your fists clenched at your sides. He raised an eyebrow.
“You gonna punch me, kid?”
“I’m the same damn age as you, don’t act cocky!” In your twintail braids and with your tiny stature it was hard to take you as a serious threat.
“You’re a little thing. Why would I be scared of you?”
You threw a punch. You didn’t know what would be coming next - of course you didn’t. Your hand hit an invisible wall and you yelped, withdrawing your hand back and feeling the stinging pain in your knuckles. You look at him with a sense of challenge, but also a sense of amazement. Who the hell was this guy?
“You wanted my name? Well, here it is, kid—“
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
“Satoru.”
As if understanding just how his name coming from your lips made him feel, the clouds parted to allow a stream of sunlight to illuminate you like a spotlight. The doomed antiheroine of today’s tale, in all her tragic glory, looking up listless like the soul had long been drained from her eyes.
Why, oh why did you have to say his name like that?
“I think we both know why I’m here.”
You nod. You look away from him. You’re not sure if you can bear to look at him now. “It’s been a while since we’ve sparred, Satoru.”
He swallows. “That it has.”
“Maybe today is the day I finally catch up to you after all these years.”
He shrugs. Somewhere in that nonchalant shrug is the unbothered kid you knew all those years ago. “You can try.”
But you both knew how this ended and somewhere deep inside you knew you deserved it anyway for your sins.
You can’t stop yourself from cracking a bitter smile. “Well, then,” you drop your satchel to the ground, laying out your knives before you, and as if pulled by strings they rise around you on guard. “One last spar. For old time’s sake.”
Satoru’s lips curl into a smirk.
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
“You’re on.”
You crack your knuckles. The other Jujutsu sorcerers may underestimate your technique, you remember your mother saying. Don’t let them. You put your hands on your hips and grin.
“Don’t underestimate me, though!”
“Can’t make any promises, country girl!”
You raise your fist and Satoru stands at the ready —
But your fist slams on the window behind you instead, shattering the glass. Satoru looks at you, confused —
And then the shards begin to levitate, forming a circlet around you.
“You think some stupid glass is gonna protect you?” Satoru scoffs. “You’ve got no idea what you’re up against here, squirt.”
You grit your teeth, close your eyes and concentrate. The shards go flying at Satoru. He’s got his eyes on you, his eyes on the shards —
And then your figure flickers. It flickers then it’s gone. He looks around, sensing that the cursed energy thrumming in the shards has grown stronger, almost humming with immense power. One shard passes just in front of his face, another just behind him, but rather than his own reflection in the glass he sees you.
You and a proud smile. You flicker behind him, and—
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
The first punch is thrown.
His movements are fluid. Graceful. Like conducting the orchestra of life and matter itself. He’s gotten even better since you left. You didn’t even know that was possible.
Your glass knives go zinging around him just as he remembered, but your technique was no match for a man who could see everything. All you had to do to try to keep up was to be faster. Faster. Faster.
But you were fighting a hopeless battle and you knew it. This was Satoru Gojo and at the end of the day you were a curse user. You knew how this ended. At this point the back and forth was just a formality.
His punches landed like they always did, the familiar blasts of red and blue that you learned to dodge all those years ago — only something was different. Something was off. His punches just barely you, just close enough to feel the breeze around his enclosed fists. He was holding back. You knew him well enough to know that.
Your grit your teeth, “Don’t go soft on me now, Satoru.”
“Who said I was?”
What a horrible liar.
“Terrible time for you to suddenly grow a conscience,” the quips are bittersweet in your mouth, rolling over your tongue like the tooth-rotting sugar of a childhood candy. Something in this back and forth felt nostalgic. Something in this back and forth made your heart lurch. Something in this back and forth made you feel as if any minute now you would dust the dirt off your pants, sigh in defeat, and walk off with him and. the rest of your class for a popsicle at the 7-eleven nearby. But this wasn't what this was. Suguru was dead. Yuu was dead. You defected years ago. And Satoru was sent with a mission that he was going to finish, no matter how much it pained him to. You just prayed it would be over quickly.
You grit your teeth, "I thought I was fighting the strongest!" Another blast just barely misses you.
"You are," his palm extends outward, a thundering force tunnelling along the concrete to your position, stopping just there before your feet.
God, this would be easier for you if he could just kill you like a cold-blooded killer. If in the last few years since you left the Satoru you knew had been successfully replaced with the sharpened knife the higher ups spent their whole life training him to be. But the hesitation in his attacks said otherwise in the most heartbreaking way possible. The words left unsaid over the last ten years came through in every missed attack, every pulled punch. Even now, even after everything, he was protecting you.
"Then hit me like you mean it!"
Like you mean it. If Satoru did anything right now the way he meant it this would be going a lot differently. If he could do this the way he meant it he would've stopped a long time ago. He would have extended his hand, flashing that arrogant smile he knew annoyed you to no end and helped you back to your feet.
But you want a fair fight and you'll get it. It'd be an insult to the sorcerer you'd grown into for him to hold back now at this crucial moment. All those hours, all those extra missions you took on while you were peers, all those promises and challenges, if you were going out you wanted to go out right. That was the least he could give you after all, wasn't it?
And so what did it mean when his attacks began to ripple through the concrete, forcing you to jump and weave around his blasts until you could feel your legs giving out? When his attacks forced you to concentrate all your energy into whizzing around between your blades, the sheer focus of reading his attacks and focusing your cursed energy draining your mind? That he acknowledged you. That he would fight you here and now as the sorcerer he respected. As the sorcerer he admired.
Your movements are angles, refractions, jets of blinding light and flickering reflections against his tremendous power. Slivers of light streams shooting between each blade - here, then here, then here - distributing your cursed energy across them so it would be more difficult for him to detect, David against Goliath. A battle of light against matter.
Until you shattered.
You lay on the concrete and hear the crunching of Satoru's shoes as he walks toward you. He walks slowly. He's giving you more time on purpose and you can tell, as if willing you to get up and fight, if only to prolong the inevitable. So he could avoid it for just a minute longer. He could have killed you long ago. But he hasn't.
The ground seems to simmer, rumbling with the sheer intensity of Satoru's cursed energy as the dust clears. He'd shot you down to the ground and here you were again.
"Barely even a scratch and you're on the ground already?" The quip is obviously meant to get a rise out of you but his voice is tinged with sadness. Get up. Get up, please.
You cough once. Twice. You feel something warm trickle from your lips and the taste of iron. "Cut the pleasantries, Satoru. We both know how this ends."
The sun sets below the horizon as he walks over, casting a shadow on your crumpled figure. You spit blood onto the concrete and wipe your mouth with the back of your hand, lip stained scarlet. You're the picture of a pathetic and battered curse user, and you hope that the sight he sees before him now would be alien enough to him, that he wouldn't prolong this torture any longer. That his muscle memory would activate seeing something cowered before him and he would lift his hand and finish you off sooner or later. You hoped this way you wouldn't need to face him in this state, wouldn't need to get a torturously close look at the man you could have known in some other life had you chosen a different life.
The man you could have had.
To your anguish, he speaks. "I didn't want it to end like this."
You look away. You can scarcely bear to look at him right now without your heart aching. "...I know."
"I always hoped you'd come back on your own."
But that was wishful thinking. A sorcerer like you, after all that you' had done, would never be allowed to waltz right back into Jujutsu society, to return to that world and it's secrets and privileges as if you had never done the things you did when you followed Suguru all those years ago. No matter how much you might have daydreamed about it on occasion, no matter how many times you found yourself stopping by those campus gates and wondering what would happen if you walked your way back inside. Whether the key you kept in your pocket, a useless memento now, would still slot into your old dorm room. If your pictures would still be up on the wall, the hung up receipts from weekends out at the mall with Ieiri and Iori, the sticky notes Satoru had thrown at you in the middle of classes, ticket stubs from past missions.
And Satoru would be lying if he didn't say the same, if he didn't spend the first few weeks you left stopping by the freezer on his 7-eleven runs to reach for your favorite ice cream before remembering there was nobody to hand it off to. If he didn't learn a new trick or technique and didn't run to the dorm building to show you before stopping himself. If he didn't watch his students sparring from the bleachers, wondering if you would have been sitting by his side watching them too.
"They'd send me straight for the execution chamber and you know that-"
"You never should've left," he speaks bitterly, regretfully, as if his voice was straining just saying the words, "You should've stayed at Jujutsu Tech, you should've been there with the rest of us, we could've-"
You cut him off before he keeps talking and makes either of you ache any longer. "It's over now, Satoru."
"It didn't have to be, I -" he looks down, his mouth fumbling for words he can't find. His mind scrambles for any idea he could possibly have for bringing you back, and just as quickly as they come they form they dissipate, like a fistful of powder.
He squeezes his eyes shut, his voice breaking. "What am I supposed to do with you now..."
Your next words are spoken with finality. "Exactly what you were told to do."
The words make your throat tighten, make your arms tremble and struggle to hold yourself up. You keep your head down.
After a few moments he finally mutters a few words. "You're making this difficult."
"I'm sorry."
"Why," he whispers, "why did you do it?" His voice breaks. "Why did you leave me?"
Your face burns. You don't have the heart to tell him that when Suguru spoke, he spoke so convincingly. That after you saw the dead eyes of Riko Amanai in her shroud, young enough to be your classmate, young enough to be your sister, then walked back out into the swarming Tokyo streets wondering what she died for you wanted to throw up.
When you saw Satoru walk around like a living corpse, when you saw him have to force himself back into his usual self, that life had to somehow go on after all that had happened, you felt sick - sick.
So in your youth you thought that Suguru had found an answer. Some way that would bring us anywhere but here. Some world where you and everyone you loved wouldn't have to live and die like this.
"I thought I was doing the right thing-"
"You were one of the few good things I had left."
A silence settles between you two. Your eyes meet his.
Once upon a time he looked at you with the twinkle of a challenge in his eye, waking up in the morning looking forward to whatever stupid shenanigans you and the rest of your classmates would get up to that day. The way he looks at you now, with ten years in between your last meeting, since the last time you saw those eyes truly full of light and hope, he looks at you with the eyes of a dead man.
You couldn't live. You shouldn't. Or those eyes would haunt you forever.
When people look into the eyes of Satoru Gojo, they practically look into the eyes of God. The man who holds the balance of life in his very sight. Jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits alike cowered under his icy gaze.
But just as you had all those years ago, when you looked at him you only saw a boy. A boy whose heart left with you ten years ago.
You reach your hand up, sliding your fingers between his, and before he can even process it, his hand gently squeezes yours.
Please. Please.
For a moment he is quiet. For a moment his pulse jumps in his throat. For a moment he almost believes all those delusions in his head, that there was some way for you to return to Jujutsu. Return to him.
Your fingers fold around his, sliding and twisting his hand into a point directed straight to your forehead. You close your eyes.
"Satoru."
His name sounds devastating on your lips, the way you speak his name knowing it may be one of the last things you say and, God, if there was the right final word let it be his name.
Your name passes from his lips like a whisper in return. You two refuse to say anything more. You know if you say what you want to you run the risk of cursing him, and your shadow has loomed on him for long enough. Yours and many others'.
I love you. I love you. I love you.
The words sit, shapeless on your tongue. You don't dare speak them - for his sake. As much as it will kill you. As much as it would kill him either way.
Those unspoken words hang in the air, and Satoru breaks the silence.
"I-"
"Don't."
"Please-"
"I said don't-"
HIs voice begins to rise. "Please just say it, say something, anything-"
"You know what would happen if I do."
"I do! And does it look like I give a damn?! Don't leave me again, God, don't leave, stay with me this time. Give me that much, just don't go-"
"No," you say firmly, and you want to crumble when you feel the way he winces at your interruption. "... Please."
Satoru's hand trembles.
He swallows.
・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
“Another win for yours truly,” Satoru grinned, his hand held out to you. “Seriously, you’d think in three years you’d learn a thing or two,” he pouts pitifully.
“I’ve learned you’re an asshole!” You cross your arms over your chest, rolling onto your side. You huffed, a puff of dirt rising as you did. You hated meeting his eyes when he was gloating, he was always so full of himself after a match.
“Come on, don’t be like that,” he throws his head back laughing as he leaned over you, nudging you with his hand, “get up and let’s to already. You’re covered in dirt, country girl. I mean look at yourself,” he picks up one of your glass shards and holds it up to your face so you can see your reflection. He sticks his tongue out and mock gags. “Uuuugly.”
“Shut up, Satoru!”
He laughs again, a sound warm like the sunshine itself.
“Come on, come on. I’ll buy you an ice cream.”
You turn onto your other side and huff again. He rolls his eyes, exasperated, but smiles at your stubbornness. He shrugs and lays down beside you. “Or is the dirt that comfortable?”
The two of you lay there for a moment under the setting sun, wrapped in the warm of the golden hour. His eyes meet yours and he’s stumped into a pause. It’s been three years since you arrived at Jujutsu Tech and you both have grown since then - him into a young man and you into a young lady of your own right. The light strikes your eyes just so, making them glitter like the sunlight on the sea. Had your eyes always been so beautiful? Had your hair always fallen perfectly around your eyes? Had the little sun freckles on your skin from your childhood in the fields always been so endearing to him?
His heart flutters.
His silence stuns you too. Satoru Gojo was never quiet. When you turn over you see his perpetually smug expression soften, lips parted, eyebrows relaxed, opening those famous blue eyes to you. A breeze passes, the wind rustling the trees above you, and you realize your so close that some of your hair could brush his cheek from here. His silence makes you feel compelled to whisper.
“Satoru?”
In that moment he almost feels compelled to say something stupid. So stupid. With your face this close to him his head is filled with stupid questions. Stupid thoughts.
Instead he flicks your forehead. You yelp and your hand flies to rub that spot.
“What in the world was that for?” you cry out.
“For making me lie on the dirt when it actually sucks.”
“I didn’ make you do anythin’!” There was that little accent slipping out again. He laughs to himself as he gets up and stands over you again, waiting for you to join him. You look up at him and look up at the sky.
"One day," you huff, "one day we'll settle this for once and for all. And I'm gonna win."
He smiles down at you. "I'll be waiting."

⪩⪨ First part
Tumblr media
The birds chirping outside woke you up from the deepest slumber that you've been in, for a while, comfortable, sheets dropping over the tangled limbs.
Your vision wasn't clear yet, so you just laid there, not moving an inch.
The sun blinded you, glaring through the thin curtains, Joker was behind you, soft breaths emitting from the big boy who turned into a huggable plushie once he slept.
Your breath hitched in a mere second. Noticing that his arm was protected by the fabric of your shirt, skin against skin, Jokers large, veiny hand was groping you.
A soft whine left your throat, shutting your eyes for a second, heart skipping a beat and butterflies fluttering in your tummy. You shut your eyes tightly, forcing them open after.
Your thighs squeezed against... someone else's leg?
Wooin had the most peaceful expression on his face, a slight blush dusting on his cheeks, his chest rising up and down with each exhale and inhale.
He was facing you, leg between your thighs and face a little too close to your own. You needed to go pee. It was an emergency.
Fuck.
They're too close. Not realizing you were stiff until the man behind you moved. "Y/n...You up?" Jokers morning voice was deeper than his usual one, a throaty tone at the pitch of it that send shivers down your spine.
You felt a second pulse in your body, were you fucking ovulating or what?
"Please...Talk to me."
He begged, pleading as the boy shuffled and it made you wonder, was he still asleep? He sounded really tired.
"I'm awake. What's wrong 'Jun?"
He mumbled something in your head, "– wanted to hear you." Your bit down on your lip, blinking as you swallowed, your throat was dry.
"Can you let me go? I wanna drink water."
Hearing a grumble, followed by the tattooed bikers grip tensed, you sighed, accepting your fate. Luckily, to your help, Wooin woke up.
Nevermind.
He was so clingy and whiny so early in the morning, the boy immediately placed a hand on your waist, too lazy to get up.
These two were gonna be your last straw. You couldn't even move. "Ugh Wooin, I gotta use the bathroom." He yawned out a playful 'no' digging his face deeper into your chest.
"Please? I have classes in a few hours."
Right, you just reminded them that they also had some 'business' today and it was for sure gonna be exhausting. Joker was the first to get up, you after and Wooin being the last one.
Being kind enough, you seated yourself in the kitchen to make breakfast hearing the two got their stuff ready, the smell of food soon lit in the room so you opened the window, allowing fresh air to enter the apartment.
The breeze was lulling, blowing past your hairs and making the curtains float.
While moving around some ingredients, two hands pat your waist up and down, the taller figure behind swallowed your figure.
You eyed the forearm of Joker as he hugged you, no words leaving him whatsoever. "Where's Wooin?"
There was no response, the door of your room opening answering the question that was lingering in your head.
୨୧
Two hours of school passed and you were currently hanging for life on the last nerve you had. Owen had been nagging ever since you entered through the gates which was surprising since all he did was annoy Shelly every morning.
Confusion, frustration, annoyed and even embarrassment hit you like a train.
You were sitting in the classroom, the teachers explanation drowned out as you couldn't help but focus on the foreigner who was desperately trying to get your attention.
"Can you leave me alone?"
"No. Talk me to me."
You shot a glance at the teacher who had his back to the class, writing on the board. A sigh left your lips, facing the blonde male who smiled like an idiot when you looked at him.
"What do you want?"
"You."
The meanest, most disgusted side-eye was sent in Owens way. "Not like that, I mean I need you with something. I need your help, please?"
"No."
"Please?"
"Please I'm begging you-!"
He was about to shout but you placed your hand on his mouth, shutting him up, sweating like crazy because of the shame you saved your ass from.
Luckily, just as you did, the bell rang and you left the classroom quickly, going to the vending machine.
"Y/n."
You jolted, heart stopping at the voice, as your own reached the end of the city by the scream you let out and Owen has the audacity to laugh at you.
There he was, begging you again to help him with whatever he wanted. "No! Where yo momma at? Leave me aloooneee!!"
You were taking turns left and right, trying to avoid the male who stuck to you like glue, not letting you escape his sight, million eyes following you two bickering.
That until you were stopped by Owen clutching your arm, pulling you towards his body. "Please? I need to buy Shelly something for her birthday. I'll do whatever you want."
"Can't you ask someone else?!"
You went quiet when looking up at the boy who had a serious, sorrowful face, his eyes planted on the concrete, a pinkish hue covering his cheeks.
"You're disturbing."
In the end, you gave in, agreeing to go on a search for a gift with him after school in exchange for Owen giving you money. And by that it meant a lot of money.
୨୧
You received a text from Wooin who was letting you know where you, him and joker were going today just for a brick to fall on him when you said that you couldn't go.
It started a huge stunt with Wooin sending you a shit ton of messages, asking you with who you are, what you were gonna do, when you're gonna go.
And it shocked you that he let it go so easily, making you think that he was plotting to end the world or something.
You licked the Popsicle Owen bought you, sitting on a couch inside the jewelry store as he showed you different options of necklaces that he found pretty.
"The one with the star is pretty."
Your eyes almost popped out of their socks seeing the prices with zeros you could never count. "Damn, rich people."
Owens eyes held little sparkles in them by seeing the one you chose. "Okay I'll get it for her." He glanced at your form but you gave him no mind, focused on the screen of your phone and it made Owen ponder whose text you were smiling at.
He pouted, why weren't you paying any attention to him? He was much more important! "Y/n?" A simple hum in return made Owen sad, not finishing his sentence.
Of course, he did this on purpose, two minutes passed and the silence made him suffocate, what were you so distracted with?? "What is it?" Finally you decided to take a peek at him!!
"Do you like this Necklace?"
Shrugging, the blonde awaited your answer only for you to give him a short 'its pretty' so he just made you follow him to pay up.
"Let's go Y/nie, I'll go get you something to eat!!"
Groaning, you slightly cringed at what Owen made out of your name but the happy expression on his face couldn't possibly allow you to be disgusted.
While you two walked down the neon lit streets, thousands of glances were sent at Owen, one for being a foreigner and second for being hot as fuck.
The tall male stopped to tie his shoelaces but you kept walking so he did the job very quickly, panicking when you were literally like 1 meter away...
"Y/nie wait!!"
Nevermind, you got flustered . Why did he shout that weirdly created name so loudly?! Owen caught up, holding your hand as he dragged you alongside him.
"See? A very cute cafe!"
"Hmm, very cute."
"Really, Do you like it?!"
When you nodded, it was like he turned even brighter than before, dragging you inside. The smell of coffee reached for your nostrils as you sat beside the glass window, ordering for both of you when the waiter came up.
"Y/n?"
"What?"
Owen took out a box, it was middle sized and had a fancy logo on it. He looked at you with large, blue eyes, waiting for you to open it.
"this....?"
"Yeah, I bought it for you. Thanks for helping me today."
"But isn't it for Shelly?"
He shook his head, reminding you that Shelly won't take shit from him. "Thanks, but no Owen, its way to expensive for me to have..."
Tilting his head, Owens blond locks moved with his head. "But its a gift from me?" He played as if he was heartbroken, a frown pulling on his moisturized lips.
Your eyes softened, looking at the pretty, expensive accessory. Damn rich people, they can buy anything huh? "D-don't you like it? You said you did, right?"
"Yes Owen, but not for me."
Crossing his arms while leaning back, the cyclists muscles flexed through the fabric of his shirt. "But I got it for you. Not Shelly, she won't take it either way."
A small, grateful smile made its way on your lips and Owen leaned in as you took out the silver good. "I'll put it on for you!"
With a scoff, you allowed for him to do so, fixing it in place when he finished he was struggling
"Thank you Owen..."
It was faint, maybe because of the scorching sun that smacked his face that turned it to a pinkish hue. Owens pearly whites showing through his smirk, resting his head on his palm.
୨୧
Just as your food arrived, the noise of the bell on the brown door that lead into the cafe made your ears twitch, catching a familiar voice.
Your eyes widened, almost popping out of their sockets. The small, black haired child mirrored your face, his face turning red in seconds.
"Awhh!!! My baby!!"
Owen flinched when you stood up, leaving him to run over to the small boy who also rushed over to you, holding his arms up, ready to get held.
Jokers little brother started grinning from to ear, he stopped when he saw a blonde guy looking at him with a weird bitchy face.
As you were peppering the boys face and head with kisses, his older brother entered the cafe, taken aback when he saw your form.
"Y/n?"
"Joker! You're here too!!"
You were about to place down his brother but the kid refused, clinging onto you more leading to you laughing at his cuteness.
Owen existence was like...poof. He grit his teeth, this guy, he swore he saw him somewhere before.
"Don't bother her...."
The blue haired male shook his head at his brother, this kid was nagging him non-stop to take him to this cafe, whatever, at least he got the opportunity to see you.
Hajun who was also called Joker, finally saw the foreigner, his blood went cold, fists clenched as his usual, scary hooded eyes returned, burning holes into Owen.
You took Jokers hand into your own, it belittled yours in size and you lead him to the table, still holding his brother who was placed on your lap when you sat down.
Joker sat next to you, his legs spread wide, setting down a demeanor. Not afraid to claim his territory.
Him and the Blondie had a glaring staring contest, both not speaking.
"Who's this, Y/n?"
You focused on Owen who made you halt your conversation with the small kid in your embrace. "This is my baby!" You hugged jokers brother.
Owen deadpanned, his 'rival' next to you showing him his fangs, lips raised. "No, I meant the big one." Did he think Hajun couldn't understand him or what?
But Joker who vibrated with this eerie vibe, didn't speak up, still giving Owen a death stare. "Well, he's my other baby."
You put the kid aside, letting him play with your phone. Right in that moment, a tough hand grasped your thigh, maybe a little too tight, it made you clench your legs, trapping it.
Now, the English boy wasn't that much of an idiot, he can sense 'enemies' a hundred miles away!! He can clrealy see it, this one had a crush on you.
Well, wasn't it the best time to be a little playful? Owen grinned, his fingers were now touching the pendant of the necklace around your neck
"The necklace I gave you is so pretty on you, right?"
The hand locked around your thigh and you took the sign, this dude and his strength. You got your hand on Owens wrist, removing it.
You talked to him and the talk stopped reaching Jokers ears, he eyed the necklace, eyes dropping a little.
It was a branded one. Very pocket-hurting.
"One Apple cake, a chocolate milkshake and ––"
You finished ordering for your best friend, you reached down, placing your fingers on top of Jokers that were placed on your leg
If only he could afford you pretty things like that, maybe you would like him more then? No you weren't like that. But still, he couldn't help but want to treat you better.
"Y/n I'm coming over tonight, be ready. Okay?"
You folded, almost choking on the water you drank, Owens eyes bulging out. Who knew Joker was sneaky?!
He did this on purpose!! Even spoke in English.
"H-huh....?"
"Can't I? I always come over, don't I?"
He muttered while looking Owen deep in the eyes, turning to face you, now holding eye contact with you. "Of course, yeah!"
Oh shit
୨୧
Owen was devastated, he himself, had no idea what he was feeling either, he dragged his body away from you, your possible boyfriend and the little kid who stuck out his tongue at him.
He would cheer for his brother!! Then Hajun will be the daddy and you'll be the mommy. The kid thought inside his head, holding your and Jokers hand
You two walked back the kid to their place. Joker went back with you after making sure his brothers were in good condition.
The moon was shining in the dark night, street lights left and right, covering the streets as Joker laced his fingers with yours, walking you home.
You two stopped at a bridge you had to cross. Joker came to a stop and you did too, looking up at him with doe eyes.
"Y/n. I need you."
Huh
"W-wha?!"
You were burning up, the heat inside you made you disgustingly sweat a lot, your heartbeat soaring in your ears at the sudden confession. What the hell did he mean?
Was it that? Was he serious?
"Sorry. I know i can't buy many things for you."
Sweat dropping, your lips formed a straight line. Oh.
"Joker, what the hell are you saying? Is it because of Owen? Really?"
He looked ashamed, gaze on the ground, his cheeks shaded into a shade of red. "You know he's not my type."
He wasn't one to talk a lot, many noticed. Yet it was the opposite with you, he couldn't care less if he talked for hours when he was with you, he wouldn't get tired or uncomfortable.
But why was his heart pounding like this? Whenever you glanced at him, smiled at him, held him and damn the way you said his name.
He wanted you. For himself. For once, Joker wanted to be really selfish, just you, for him, he would give you everything, you might as well just have his heart planted out on a plate presented for your consumption.
"Whats your type then?"
Was this the moment? Should you say it or not? No...you didn't want to ruin anything...what if you were having false signs? Joker is very confusing, you're probably mistaking things.
There was a long lasting silence before you took his arm, dragging him with you.
Your eyes met, his grey eyes pinning you like a predator would to its prey, he was lost in thoughts. Observing your movements.
You just got to your apartment, at front of the door to the place that you were used to.
"Y/n." You gulped, being stopped again by the biy who took your face in his palms
"What is your type?"
His eyebrows were knitted together, awaiting an answer. "Hajun....I-" a thumb brushed against your lower lip, the male leaned down, placing his own lips on your plump ones.
Your skipped many beats, is this a dream? Why weren't you waking up?
Your lashes fluttered close, the taller boy, stroked your cheek, his other hand on your hip, grinding you against his body.
Him tilting your head, the kiss deepening, his warm tongue exploring your mouth as you hung on his hoodie that crinkled beneath your fingers.
It was emotional. For the both of you, finally after stressing years of hidden feelings for each other, one made a move.
Your knees were growing weak if not for Joker who was holding you, you'd probably slip to the floor.
You were moving from side to side occasionally, neither of you letting go, wrapped up against each other, fitting perfectly.
Breaking apart a string of saliva connected your lips, you took deep breaths, your stomach was doing flips you felt as if your heart was being squeezed, Jokers forehead was against your own.
"Im sorry. I had to...."
His eyes softened, noticing your flushed expression, Joker felt his breathing getting cut off, you were so beautiful, so ethereal, just for him.
He wanted you whole, everything. He needed you. The desperation from years stuck into that kiss he gave you, hoping you'd somehow feel what he went through for your love.
"I love you."
No hesitation behind his words, it made you shocked, your chest being pierced. "....I love you too. Please Hajun, wanted you for so long."
Something or someone....was missing.
You were clinging onto the boy who almost died right there, was there anything better than this? How could he ever reject you? Not after you told your truth.
He was hard as fuck.
The way you were rubbing against him made it worse, his sweats felt shackled, he could feel his precum leaking at the thought of bursting inside you..
"Fuck Y/n don't say that. I won't be able to control myself."
"Then don't. Show me everything, Hajun."
That tongue of yours is gonna get you in some serious danger. Just as those words left your throat, your lips were fighting again, Joker was holding you against the door, breaking apart to give your neck some attention.
"Wait, let me just open the door."
Your hearts almost stopped when you heard a voice joining. "Fuck you Joker, having all the fun without me? I thought we were sharing."
Wooin. Whose face was twisted in anger, his cheeks tinted pink. "W-wooin...?" You wanted to squirm away, embarrassed, but the push on your hips didn't allow you.
Joker blocked you from Wooins vision again with his well-built back, he wasn't gonna stop. Fuck he was so gonna be so frustrated if he did.
No stopping after seeing you needy for him.
"Y/n."
Wooin was staring at Jokers back, his eyebrows now furrowed, a frown placed on his nourished lips. He was just about to sleep over at yours, seeing you with another man, someone other than him, shattered the male who has been crushing on you ever since you were kids.
You were unable to say anything, as if your tongue got bitten off, you were breathing hard, your chest feeling heavier by second.
Were those tears blinding you? Why were acting like this? Before you even realized, they began falling like a waterfall, unable to stop the next pair of droplets leaving your eyes.
"I'm sorry...."
Hiccuping, you started blaming yourself. Was this gonna ruin your friendship now? Are they gonna leave you forever? Were you gonna be alone all again?
No...Your heart was withering into a million pieces, soon, your breath cut off, being drowned in your own hateful thoughts.
You liked them both. So why did you have to choose?
"Stop crying, Y/n."
"I'm sorry."
"And stop being sorry."
Joker was shoved away harshly by the shorter who got a glare in return but Joker stopped when he witnessed Wooin hugging you, hiding your face in his chest.
"You don't have to be sorry–"
Wooins gums almost bleed through the flesh when he clenched his jaw. The boy with black hair blinked, Joker was standing, watching everything unfold.
"I know you love Joker. This is so cringe, but you know, I love you too. You don't have to love me if thats your decisioni i re–"
It felt good to let that off his chest, breaking through the protecting barrier that brought him comfort. But thats when you processed his words.
"What? Who said that I didn't like you, Wooin? I love you both, okay?! I don't wanna choose between you two! You both are my everything!"
You glared at nowhere in particular, regretting your decision. You really ruined everything.
Thumbs wiped away the tear stamps while a big hand pat your head. "Is that so? Can you show us how much we mean to you?"
"Yes, I swear I love you both. Do I have to pick one only?"
You shared a look with your two crushes, one of them grinned while the one towering over you sneaked an arm around your torso.
"Of course not. You can have us both only if..."
Wooin cupped your face, stroking your cheek, his face nearing your own. "...we can share you, sounds good?" As if that wasn't what you wanted for years while the two wanted to worship you for so long.
"Please? Share me."
"See, what a sweet girl she is."
Your thighs clenched, it was getting hotter and hotter, Wooins hand replaced Jokers, patting your head while his other rubbed circles on your rear.
"Now be a good girl and open the door."
Your hand was shaking, quite literally, your nervous system getting kicked in the stomach until someone helped you keep it steady.
Hot breaths against your head, something poking against your inner thigh as body heat pried over you.
A loud click made your squeak, two beasts emerging through the door after you, that's when you were pulled back from striding away.
Wet kisses were drawn on your neck, noises leaving your throat as your got touched everywhere. You didn't know who was who and who did what until Wooin stood in front of you, placing his lips on yours.
The cold metal on his tongue made you jolt when it came in contact with your lips and inner mouth.
The boxer behind you was busy decorating you with hickeys, working on the zipper of your jeans, shoving his hand down the waistband, cupping you, his middle finger running against your slit, touching the bundle of nerves that made you weak in the knees.
"Hmm, so soaked."
His deep voice rumbled next to your ear, a electrifying shiver running on your spine, your mouth was occupied by Wooin who lacked oxygen which resulted in him to bite your lower lip before letting go.
"Carry her."
Wooin himself didn't know how he was managing to be so calm, he was about to get closer to his love, his only love.
He was obsessed.
Joker swooped you up in his arms, taking you to your bed, Wooin closing the door as soon as you entered.
First your hoodie, jeans taken off, leaving you bare, standing before your bed with them leaning over you, working their own clothes off.
Thats when the boy with blueish hair stopped, gaze fixated on the necklace gifted to you by someone else. Joker fisted the pendant, ripping it off your throat.
"I don't like seeing it on you."
Wooin raised an eyebrow and you chuckled, so he was jealous after all?
After they took care you, it was their turn and you looked up at them with doe eyes, chewing on your lip.
You slid your hand on Jokers hard abs which made him grip your wrist, the baseline of his cock showing through his pants. Throwing his neck back when you ran your hand over it so sensually.
And Wooin, who was feeling neglected, took your other hand, copying what you did with Hajun, a groan escaping from him.
Were you realizing that you weren't gonna rest at all tonight? Yes. And were you in for it? Also yes. You were desperate for all of it.
"hurry..."
You tugged on the fabric of their pants, sitting on the bed as you watched them undress, feeling a bit nervous.
"i wanna eat you" Wooins sly request made you give him a smirk in return. "Yeah? All yours...eat her out." ...fuck the tent in his trousers just hurt.
"spread your legs."
Wooin helped you, wishing he could just rip off the cute little panties you were and stuff you full of him. But that's for another time.
"Just like that..."
You had no idea that Hajun was now behind you, removing your bra, groping you while Wooin removed your underwear, exposing you fully, licking his lips at the sight.
"Fuck yeah, so wet."
You were taken aback, a finger toying with your hole without any warning. "Can't enter yet, guess I'll have to make it loose." Joker wrapped an tattooed arm around your neck, pulling you against his chest, the other under your thigh to keep your legs parted for Wooin.
Your hips bucked at the touch of cold metal nagging your clit that wasn't ready for the immediate sucking and lapping.
His mouth caught on with the your puffy lips, enjoying the ecstasy of your taste, eating you like it was his last meal.
The boy between your legs had his grip on your stomach, up and down his hands massaged the side of your belly, trying to get you calm.
Sweet noises leaked out your lips, the boy holding you giving your head some pecks as the other ate you out. You were suffocating, fingernails digging into the tattooed wrist.
Your legs were trying to close for their own rest but Joker had that problem solved, not letting your body do as it wanted.
"Wooin!!"
You felt him smirking against you, his face was red, wooin was about to hump the air if this went on, you tasted so sweet, essence on the tip of his tongue making his eyes roll back.
And his hard dick wasn't helping.
Your walls took his tongue comfortably, feeling tipped off whenever it was taken out your hole that quivered only for him to stimulate you by running circles around your clit
His thumb took that position, harsh rubbing to your clit, sending electricity all over you. Your brain fogged up, legs shook like crazy.
Yeah he was experienced...
There was a knot in your stomach, you were gonna explode! Sweat bullets ran down you temple, Joker was hushing you, his hand digging into the plush flesh if your upper thigh, sensing your near.
"O-ohh, wooin! So good!"
Streaks of black hair stuck out beneath your fingers, you tucked on his head, pushing your hips futher into the boys mouth.
He didn't like that, slapping your sore clit and it made you jump, so hot. The room was so lewd, everything reeked of sex and sweat.
The noises were so loud, the squelching sounds made you want to close your ears but Wooin only laughed, he felt it too, you were close.
"look, pussys tryna talk back to me..."
Your leg twitched, finally, it erupted, the fluid shone under the lights, dripping from Wooins chin and he licked them, slurping any left over cum.
As you were breathing heavily, calming down, two fingers shoved in you, Joker. Why were they so huge..? You muscles were sore and your insides tried to push him out but Joker kept his fingers deep inside, knuckles wet because you, your tongue lolling, hanging at your lips.
The curl of them really made your legs twitch up, toes curling. "She likes that." Joker observed, Wooin smiling, holding your hold.
His eyes never left your love-drunk ones. "This is only the begin baby." He caressed your face, his gaze meeting Jokers who was pushing himself against you.
"Stretch her out, yeah?"
You were left pulsing when Joker retreated his fingers, nodding, letting your neck go as he got rid of his boxers.
Your body was moved in a different position so you were now facing the blue haired boy who's cock was most surely bigger than average, and it was gonna hurt.
Blinking, you were suddenly lifted by the hips, hovering above the mushroomy tip that was a beaming dark red, Joker slowly lowered your body, you hissed.
His tip was inside, now the rest 9 and a half inches to take in. He was going slow, his eyes shutting close, trying to focus and not slam himself inside and fuck you stupid.
Slow. Slow. Slow...
Joker threw his head back, Adams apple bobbing when he gulped down the salvia that gathered in his mouth, you shook, your gummy walls were trying to make out the intrusion which automatically made you clench and tighten up.
You winced at the caged hold on your sides, Joker let a breath out, halting your movements for a second. Wooin was amused by his struggles, palming his bulge.
"Hajun, You're so big."
Your forehead was on his shoulder blade, biting on your lip as you tried to get him inside, but it burned so much.
A loud, high pitched moan left the deepest part of your chest when Joker grabbed both of your hips, slamming you down, his balls flush to your ass.
The plump lips were hugging him, clit catching along on the small white hairs on the base, his cock so big making you want to throw up.
Your walls ripped open, the male forcing himself inside of the elastic-like barrier, his cock now sensitive and pumping inside of you, the bulbous tip bruising your cervix, bulging your stomach and now Joker was about to lift you up again so you steadied yourself on his shoulders.
Joker bottomed out, leaving only the tip inside, he inhaled, eyes on the way you were about to swallow him again.
His fingers pinched the puffy, sore skin that protected your hole and the squish alone made him grin like crazy, his canines showing.
"Too big! W-wait!!"
"You'll take it."
And your mouth snapped shut before opening again as an exit for all the moans about to follow by the second slam when your insides weren't stretched enough.
The pain soon washed away by the pleasure that rang in your veins, blood and brain. His name left your lips like a mentra, his cock touching your g spot each time with each thrust.
Your life depended on him, you were clinging on Joker who felt like you were melting him, such a snug cunt wrapped around him, forming a white ring at start of his cock.
The sound of skin against skin filled the room, occasionally covered by your whining and loud whimpering that threw Joker off the edge.
You were so adorable. His dick twitched and it was like he got even bigger inside, he was making you scream by the way he was using your body like a fucktoy, slamming you over and over again until tears formed at the corner of your eyes.
You were losing contact with reality. He pounded and bruised your insides with each movement, leaving you at the tip of the iceberg.
"Woah, you're gonna break her."
"Wooin please..."
"Its okay baby, you can do it. Such a pretty girl."
Your belly was so warm, the one who you called out to, stroked your head, patting your hair and planting sweet Kisses on your throat, licking the hickeys.
Joker squished your cheeks together at the plea of the other male, did you forget that he was the one fucking you stupid?
"No. My name."
"Hajun...I can feel you."
"Louder."
White spots started to cover your vision along with the blur of tears, your jaw hung open, throat now matching the soreness of your used cunt.
Your hole was sucking him in, sucking him dry. It started throbbing around the boy whos breath cut off.
"Don't. Don't do that again or I'll cum.."
His eyebrows were knotted, his warm cunt made him hung over, searching for more and more. Wooins arms slithered around your torso as his white haired friend was still using you like a cocksleeve.
Your toes curled when one of Wooins hands caressed you and the other pressed down on the raging bulge that was almost gonna tear the fat that covered your tummy.
Your hands shot from Jokers bicep to holding Wooins wrist, trying to remove it and thats when the one fucking you took action, holding both of your hands with one, caging you from any movement.
"No – Hajun I....wanna hold you!"
You spurted out between choked cries, you felt liquid pressing at your bladder from the pressure on Joker dick inside of you.
Wooin helped his friend even tho he didnt need any help with pushing you further to take all of his cock, your ass jiggling every time your hips were slammed back down, Jokers fat shaft catching all the juices from your pussy.
"I love you....I love you."
Joker couldn't care anymore, he was losing his sanity while you clutched onto yours. The boxer looked at you, eyeing the way your tits bounced, circular motion, the buds hardened.
You were seriously about to shatter. Mouth wide open, tongue hanging out your glistening lips from saliva as your eyes glossed over.
"Joker – mghn Jun!"
The boy whose eyes were hazed and swirling with the toxicity of the lovesickness you made him have, watched as his friend basically ruined you for every other man who was trying to get with you.
If they ever tried to get with you. But nobody was. Not after the night you were gonna have with these two.
There was the familiar knot that was about to get pulled until it spilled again, your eyes rolled into your brain, drooling as it got near to expanding that feeling allover your existence.
"Nghh!– hic!"
Finally, white spooked your vision with a deafening, high note of Hajuns name, you were blinded for the next second, getting fucked through your orgasm by the huge boy who didn't stop even when you started babbling incoherent things
Your honey covered his thighs, balls and dick. Skin slapping against each other filled in the corners of the room as his pace sped up.
Jokers hairs stuck to his forehead, he wasn't stopping, not when he was about to reach his high, he felt bad yet he knew the taste of pleasure was gonna blow the guilt away.
The way you kicked with the heels if your feet, new, red scratches running down his shoulder to his mid back while tears ran down your chubby cheeks, hanging at your chin.
"So cute."
The one behind you whispered, as you desperately tried to get more, it felt so good, how you spasmed. One final thrust and you were stuffed to the lid with hot, creamy cum that melted down the sides of your hole, the cock that was layered with the white cum and onto his pulsing balls.
"Oh Hajun....I love you!"
You muttered, still dazed, they were also talking but you had no idea where it was coming from, their words were smudged by the moment they reached your ears where you could hear your own heart
Your lips connected and you were struggling to kiss back, it was really sloppy, followed by the last few spasming to keep his cum inside.
Your ears rang as you kept stuttering, eyes crossed and drowning into pleasure inside the bubble you created for yourself.
Joker wiped the sweat off his forehead, steadying His breath after he fucked his lungs out. "Awh, Y/n, did you forget that it was my turn now?"
"Yes please...more."
You probably didn't even know what you were asking for, your body laying there, so pretty, marked with their hickeys and bruises, waiting for your next load.
There was a dumb grin on your lips, showing your teeth which made the boy with piercings laugh as you laid on your back, Joker finally pulling out and it was like you lost a limb.
So were so empty now, his cum dribbling out of your hole, creating a damp spot on the sheets that you gripped onto.
"Oh fuck we had no protection."
"It's okay Hajun, please fill me up again."
How were they supposed to say no?
They officially claimed you as theirs. You belonged to them and they belonged to you.
You three were meant for each other.
You looked into their eyes realizing how much you love these two idiots, they warmed your heart up in the best way possible.
Your hand stroked Wooins cheek, a seductive smile sent his way as you sat up, pawing at your lovers chest, hand running down his V-line.
"You're gonna be the end of me."
୨୧
You were exhausted the next morning, the birds chirping woke you up along with the bright sun that glistened on your skin.
Opening your, only to close them again, you realized that you were wearing a oversized T-shirt and your panties, your lovers nowhere in sight.
Did they leave? Why would they do that?
Soon, you started panicking, the train of over thought thoughts making its way into your head
Were you overstepping things? Maybe they didn't want anything personal with you and just a one nighter? Maybe they hated it?
You sighed, tired. Placing your face into the fresh pillow, sinking into the new bedsheets. "Y/n, baby-!" A loud yet hoarse scream startled Wooin who barged inside the room, his neck was covered in hickeys, were you that crazy last night?
Joker came in behind the shorter boy, throwing himself ontop of you, hugging you as his face nestled above your thighs, Wooin gasping in betrayal.
"Move! Stop hogging her."
No, they would never leave.
"I love you two so much."
Both of them shut up, taking minutes to process your lovely words. "W-what...did I say something wrong?" Joker looked up at you from your lap, giving your thigh a kiss after.
"...I love you more than Wooin."
A vein popped on the forehead if the boy who's name was mentioned. "That's the biggest lie!" You were engulfed in another pair of arms.
"I love you more than this weirdo."
Yeah.
After all, they belonged to you and you belonged to them.
They were in love with you and you were in love with them.

YOUR BODY WAS still going through the effects of last nights torture fest in Jay’s classroom.
You knew your ex-boyfriend was crazy, but you had no idea he'd go to such lengths to get you in line, all for the sake of chasing this love he couldn't resist.
His deadliest fantasy.
Jay woke up some time ahead of you to prepare breakfast for you both. You’re not sure if this was his way of making things up to you after last night’s events, mostly because what you went through didn’t seem to bother his conscious in the slightest.
You’d bet your well-being was only partially a concern to him, especially on the matter of “corrective discipline.”
Taking a moment to recollect your emotions, you got up out of bed, just now realizing the silk and lavender nightgown you wore to bed for the night.
Oh, Jay, the man you aspire to be.
From the looks of it, Jay hadn’t made any changes to his bedroom since the last time you saw it before running away from him.
There was something about the familiarity of the space that soothed your nerves. And so, you held onto that sliver of tranquility, walking into his bathroom before closing the door behind you.
There was a fresh toothbrush sitting in a glass cup on the bathroom counter. Beside it was a feminine all purpose skin wash and expensive moisturizer, both in the scent of “Captured,” which had notes of white grape and peach.
What a pleasant pair for such a confining name, you thought to yourself.
While brushing your teeth, you looked at your reflection in the mirror, thinking of what you were gonna do with your hair for the day.
Hmm…. Nevermind.
You decided to just wash your face instead, as your current case of bed-head wouldn’t gain much improvement using Jay’s close-tooth comb and near empty container of pomade.
Pump, pump.
The shimmery peach soap filled the center of your palm before you lathered it all over your face.
Splash.
The faucet water was cold, and you expected it to be somewhat refreshing, but the wetness only made your face feel as though it stung all over. With that, the memory of your muggy eyeliner clouding your vision resurfaced in the back of your mind.
You remembered similar stings, like the ones you get in your wrists and feet and Jay’s goons held you down.
The sting of Heeseung’s weight straddling your hips as he poured bucket after bucket of water onto your face, taunting you as if you deserved every last drop.
Squeak.
You turned off the faucet, reaching for the face towel that hung on the nearby wall rack. Twisting the bathroom door handle, you busied yourself with making up the bed and fluffing the pillows as a way to draw your mind to simpler thoughts.
Thoughts of fabric, and cotton, and loose threads.
“Good morning, my love,” Jay smiled softly, startling you as you approached you from behind, planting the lightest kiss on your exposed shoulder. He then inched up to your neck, leaving feathery pecks of affection on your skin before speaking again, “How’d you sleep?”
“Fine,” you answered plainly, wincing a bit from his persistent actions.
In his own sick way, you knew Jay was only trying to make you feel loved, but your neck was still tender from Heeseung’s idea of using it as a chew toy last night.
That fucking dog—
“Is everything alright?” Jay asked in a concerned tone, turning you to face him as you responded by covering the marks on your neck.
He walked up to the thick velvet curtains that clothed the windows of his bedroom, sliding them open to reveal the sunshine you didn’t even know was visible from here.
“Come here,” he said, moving your hand away to reveal the dark purple bruise, splattered upon your skin like paint. He muttered something under his breath that you didn’t quite catch, but from the look on his face, he didn’t seem very happy anymore.
“Which one of them did this to you?” He asked, sitting you on the bed you’d just made.
“Like you actually care—”
“Don’t play smart with me, ____. Answer my question.”
“I don’t see why you can’t just ask your little minions for the details. They seemed more than glad to watch it happen, anyways.”
“____,” he went on with a weak voice, “it’d be a lot simpler if you just answered for me like I asked. This sort of thing is not okay.”
Yeah, your entire life for the past few months has not been okay. All thanks to him and his stupid friends.
“I just really don’t wanna talk about that right now, Jay,” you raised your voice slightly, hoping that your anger would scare off the feeling of nausea that brewed in your stomach.
Jay looked down into his lap before meeting your eyes again and taking your right hand in his, pressing a kiss to your skin.
“Very well, then,” he smiled, getting up from the bed and motioning for you to meet him at the door, “I expect to see you downstairs in the next thirty seconds,” he said, not even bothering to close the door.
There goes his cold side again, you thought to yourself, following after him. It almost humored you that he gave you a time limit as if testing your obedience to him, even though he knew you’d come running.
All the way downstairs and into his kitchen, where a small round glass table sat in the middle of the dining space.
You took a seat before noticing the already prepared napkins, utensils, and champagne glasses that were filled with orange juice, meticulously arranged.
Jay washed his hands in the sink before walking over to the counter, fixing a plate of French toast, fruit, and an omelet of some sort before bringing it over to you, gently placing the dish on the table.
Walking off, he grabbed himself a cup of black coffee and joined the seat in front of you, a look displayed upon his face that you couldn’t quite read.
“What’s all this?” You asked, staring at the food as if it started talking to you before taking hold of the fork, poking at the plate.
“Is that a trick question?” Jay chuckled, sipping from his mug.
“Why aren’t you eating anything,” you went on, but he only ignored your question, taking another sip of his coffee.
“It delighted me to see you making the bed this morning. I’m surprised you still remembered the way I like it.”
Blech, you thought to yourself, making a mental note that you definitely wouldn’t be making the bed anymore from now on. And the way he got so giddy about it-
Clink.
You placed your fork on the table and crossed your arms, “I’m not eating all this, Jay.”
His grip on the mug tightened at your words, “Are you suddenly allergic to kind gestures or something?” Jay tried, stifling an annoyed scoff.
“No, but I’m allergic to trusting you,” you said, bringing to mind an old memory of when he tried to drug you when you first started dating. All you remember was that you got into a silly argument, ate something that he made, and couldn’t walk or see clearly for half a day.
"I just thought you might've wanted the fuel for today, love. But as it turns out, you're still the same ungrateful little bitch you've always been..."
“And you want me to think those kinds of words come from the mouth of loving man?…”
“I made you breakfast which you rudely rejected and I haven’t punched the shit out of you yet. Yeah, sounds like a VERY loving man to me.”
“Fine. I appreciate the breakfast, Jay, but I’m simply not in the mood to eat right now,” you said, pushing your chair from the table, “Better?”
“No,” he retorted, getting up too, “I’m still pissed that I wasted my time in the kitchen for you this morning.”
“Aww, so now the love of your life is a waste of time?” You pouted facetiously, reaching for a glass of water on the counter before retreating your hand, walking towards the sink instead.
He might’ve poisoned that, too.
“You’re twisting my words, ____,” Jay said in a softened tone for reasons you didn’t understand, taking the same cup of water you walked past before bringing it to his lips, drinking every last drop, “you’re just too stubborn at times...”
He took a few steps closer to you, meeting your frame at the counter while taking in the view of you in your silk nightgown, the water still glistening on his scarred lips.
My beautiful burden, Jay thought to himself.
“What makes you so confident that I didn’t poison the tap, too?” He said with a sultry voice, suddenly taking your lower jaw in his grip.
“Maybe I’m in the mood to die all of a sudden,” you said stupidly, fighting for the last word, though, your tough façade crumbled a bit under his intense gaze.
“Then don’t let me stop you,” he said, taking the glass of tap water you’d just poured and bringing it to your lips, “Drink it… love. I dare you.”
Water had never seemed more daunting than it did now, not even when you were being dry drowned did the sight of liquid frighten you so much.
“This is stupid,” you said through pouty lips as his grip on your face remained firm.
“Oh, so you see that now, right?” He smirked, inching closer to your face, “You always think smarter when my hands are on you,” he said, retreated his grip from your face before tossing the glass on the ground, the sound of its shatter causing you to flinch before him.
God, this was embarrassing.
“Now clean that up,” he hissed, leaving you in the now messy kitchen, “I’ll be waiting for you upstairs to help you get dressed.”
Get dressed? You thought to yourself, for what?
IT SURPRISED YOU when Jay finally revealed what this “big day” he had in mind would entail for you.
Dressed in a fancy pair of heels and skirt-suit, you were at least visually prepared to take on Jay’s idea of a great opportunity.
“I expect you to perform as though you’re on a full stomach,” Jay began as he drove around the neighborhood, “Energetic. Content. Professional.”
“Riiight,” you returned sarcastically, just now putting your seatbelt on, “so why do you want me to work anyways? Don't you bring in enough money on your own?”
“By now, you should know it’s not about that,” Jay said, finally making his way out of the gated community. “This way, I won’t drive myself mad thinking about what you’re up to all day. We’ll wake up, go to work, have lunch, and go back home together for most of the week,” He finished, a small smile creeping up at the corner of his lips.
To him, you getting a job was the first step of his perfect plan to keep you in check.
A few hours had passed, and of course you aced the interview, considering how the company was fully aware of your associations with the CEO's son.
The old you might’ve been proud to date such a popular and successful man, but now, you could hardly argue the same.
Afterwards, Jay told you to wander around and explore the building until his shift ended.
Once Jay finally came back, he greeted you again with another congratulations, taking pride in all the compliments you received on the outfit he picked out.
His little doll, you thought to yourself, all dressed up to act out whatever scenes of make-believe Jay chose to play for the day.
“See, I knew you’d fit in here,” Jay said as he maneuvered the steering wheel, driving off into the distance that continued to grow darker with each minute.
It was getting late, and quickly.
“Well, it helped that I got to finish the interview before my hunger pains started kicking in,” you replied, not even bothering to look at him as you spoke.
“You had an opportunity to eat at home, so I really can't take the fault here, love. Perhaps in some way you deserve to feel the pain,” Jay added, turning down a slightly fogged street lined with old trees at each side.
“Where are we headed?” You asked, ignoring his attempt at making your discomfort out to be a learning lesson.
“Goldman’s,” he said plainly, still maintaining the relaxed tone in his voice, “Think of it as a treat for your good behavior today. You can get whatever you want, since you’ve waited so patiently.”
It took everything in you not to scoff at his choice of words, so you distracted yourself by thinking of how you’d actually been dying to get back to the convenience store.
You didn’t care too much for the idea of Jay potentially turning one of your safe spaces into another bad memory, but you were far too hungry to let that worry you at the moment.
THE ELECTRIC SLIDING doors sounded as you walked beside Jay, arm in arm, taking in the view of the inviting space.
“This place sure looks a lot different from what I’ve seen,” Jay remarked, slowing down his strides to analyze his surroundings.
“That’s because you’ve only seen it from the outside… or perhaps from your smartphone screen while recoding me,” you said, eliciting a chuckle from him that caught you off guard.
It's not that you were surprised by his sociopathic sense of humor, but more so the smile that grew on his face.
The smile you hadn’t seen since the first month of your relationship.
From the looks of it, he was falling even harder for you now that he had you under his complete control.
How sweet.
“Welcome in, ____!" an elderly voice chimed a few feet away from you, "Long time no see..."
“Mandy? Oh my goodness, it’s so good to see you,” you smiled, asking Jay for permission with your eyes before walking over to her, “how’ve you been?”
“Fine as always, sweetheart. But now I see why you haven’t been visiting over the past few days,” she winked, leaning over the register on her elbows, “Now tell me, whats with the new wardrobe?”
“Oh- I had an interview today,” you admitted nervously, feeling your stomach grumble a little, “and before you ask, it went surprisingly well, actually”
“That’s great to hear, missy. And what about your new man-friend? Has he been keepin’ ya busy?” She teased, leaning in closer.
A part of you honestly wished she hadn’t noticed him. Clearing your throat, you could feel Jay’s eyes on you as you felt compelled to answer honestly.
“Uhm… yeah. He’s uh… His name is Jay.”
Mandy quirked up an eyebrow at the name before trying to recover her expression with her previously welcoming smile, “Jay, huh? Sounds like a very sweet boy, to me,” she feigned, suddenly fidgeting with the ring around her finger.
Did she remember? You asked to yourself. All those nights that you came in late for snacks, ranting about the psycho ex-boyfriend you ran away from?
Yes. Of course she did.
Jay finally decided to walk over, meeting you at your side as Mandy continued to speak, avoiding eye contact with him, “Welp, you two youngins know what to do! Let me know if you need anything... I’ll be out back.”
“Thank you,” Jay offered kindly, but the lady only nodded, staying in place despite having said she was going to the store-back.
“Hey, I’m gonna go use the restroom real quick. Pick out something good while I’m gone, too. I’ve been dying to try your favorites,” Jay said, pressing a tender kiss upon the top of your head before walking off to do his business.
“That’s exactly who I think it is, isn’t it?” Mandy began with a whisper, folding her arms in front of herself.
“Yes…” you confessed, a feeling of goosebumps rising to your skin at the realization.
You were slowly relieving the nightmare you escaped all over again.
“Then why are you with him? That guy’s a monster… Do you… Do you need any help? I can… I can call the police!” She continued frantically, already walking towards the storage unit in search for the wall phone.
“Mandy, don’t!” You whisper-yelled, her long white braid swaying with her urgent movements. “You can't get the police involved... It’s for the best... Jay is crazier than I thought, and I can’t risk dragging you into my mess.”
She let your words settle in the air before continuing, “You can’t expect me to let you go on like this, ____. Just act normal, okay? I know what to do.”
“But Mandy-”
“I’ve been in similar shoes before, sweetie. Your shoes may be a little bigger, but thanks to the food I’ve been eating, so am I,” she said, trying to lighten the mood.
Or maybe that was just the natural sense of warmth she always exuded.
“Now go on, get to shopping before he comes back and suspects something's up!”
“Okay,” you nodded softly, grabbing a hand basket before walking down the aisles in search of God knows what.
You weren't sure what to expect with Mandy calling the police, but you also weren't sure how much longer you could take of Jay and his antics.
Whoosh.
The heated convenience store air welcomed in the chilling weather from beyond its walls as another hungry costumer entered the space, your back still turned to them as you examined the dessert aisle.
Naturally, you felt the urge to glance at the unknown face, but part of you knew that you might not like who you'd see standing there.
"Hello," a murmuring male voice greeted Mandy, who replied with a likewise salutation.
Ok, now you had to take a peek.
Looking through a gap in the shelves, you saw a tall, hooded person standing before her at the register.
"One moment, please," you heard the older lady say in response to the costumer asking where they can find something.
Mandy made her way to the back of the store in search of whatever the costumer asked for, but still had her initial goal in mind of calling the police.
She typed in the three digits on her wall phone, anxiously waiting for the service line to pick up.
Boop, boop.
She twirled the phone cord around her finger.
Boop, boop, boop-
“You've reached 9-1-1. What’s your emergency?”
Mandy let out a yelp that was soon muffled by the mysterious costumer who had followed her to the store-back.
“Oh, never mind that, officer. I took my Grandma to work today and she's just a little disoriented from the meds. Please excuse her behavior.”
“Not a problem sir, just make sure she stays away from the phone from now on. Is there anything else we can help you with tonight?” The operator inquired, oblivious to the way Mandy struggled in the man's vicious grip.
“No ma’am, thank you for your assistance and have a great day.”
“Yup, we're always here to help. Just keep a good eye on your grandmother, too, alright? Stay safe.”
Boop, boop.
Mandy let out a wheezy breath as Sunghoon finally uncovered her mouth, dramatically wiping his hands off on his clothes, "I never understood why you wrinkly hags even bother with putting lipstick on. You're still just as hideous," he said with disgust, watching as the frightened woman fell to her knees, closing her eyes with a now bowed head.
A string of silent prayers poured from her lips, ones that she hadn't felt the need to rehearse in a very long time. The poor lady was overwhelmed with terror, and her only developed response was to pray for protection, which for obvious reasons, humored Sunghoon.
“I hope you got enough “Amen’s” in while you were down there,” he snickered, lifting her up from the ground in his harsh grip.
“How dare you?” Mandy cried with a weakened voice, struggling yet again against his strength, “You will pay for every wrong you've ever committed if you don't unhand me!”
“Would you just shut up already,” Sunghoon complained, opening the back door with his foot for Jungwon and Niki to come in, who quickly went to tie Mandy's hands and feet together with rope, sealing her mouth with a piece of duct tape.
“You’re lucky we haven’t strangled you with this phone cord yet,” Niki threatened, annoyed with the woman's persistence in fighting them off while dodging her feeble attacks.
"Thing's would be so much easier if you just stopped moving for ONE fucking second," Jungwon grunted as he tightened the rope around her feet.
“Alright, this’ll have to do,” Sunghoon said, Niki helping him prop Mandy up against the wall before making their way back to the storage room door, “let’s go.”
Meanwhile, you had successfully managed to get some grocery shopping in before you felt someone harshly grab you by the hair.
“Ahhhhh," you winced in pain, dropping your basket of items on the ground, "J- Jay, what the hell? You said you wouldn’t hurt me anymore,” you cried out, already feeling tears form in your eyes from the sharp sting.
“I've never been called Jay before in my life. But I'll let you guess again, only because I think you're cute," the voice of your offender whispered eerily.
What, you asked to yourself, turning your head to see none other than Heeseung staring back at you with his hungry gaze, his hold on your hair not letting up for one second.
“Didn’t expect to see me, huh? Have you missed my presence?”
“Get your fucking hands off of me, pervert!" You screamed, using your nails to scratch at his arms, though hardly to leave any marks, "Jay! Mandy! Somebody help me! Nngh- Jay!” Your weak pleas seemed to amuse Heeseung as he continued to swing you around like his personal play thing, chuckled at your words.
“What would it take for me to get you to scream my name like that?" he started, pulling your face up to meet his again, "All desperate and trembling for me.”
“Fuck~ let GO!” You cried, tears slightly blurring your vision as you could feel him now guiding you out of the store by the hair.
You couldn't believe this was actually happening.
“Watch your mouth, princess,” Sunghoon suddenly said, opening a bag of chips from the shelf that he didn’t intend on paying for.
The sound of rushed footsteps distracted the two boys for a moment as Jay ran over, having rushed out of the restroom given all the calamity.
“What’s going on over here? Is everything okay," Jay asked in a concerned voice, but you knew he wasn't talking to you.
Heeseung forced your head up to look at Jay, “Just your little toy here forgetting what game we’re playing... What sole purpose she was made for.”
Jay hummed in response, biting his lip as a disappointed look wavered over his features.
“That’s such bullshit! Jay, you were just in here! They’re lying-”
“Take her to the truck.” Jay cut you off, still looking you dead in your watery eyes.
"W-what?" You tried, but he simply ignored you, watching as Sunghoon walked out the store first, with Jungwon and Niki already having left sometime earlier.
You tried not to trip as Heeseung dragged you to the vehicle, finally releasing his grip on your hair before shoving you in the car.
Looking ahead, you saw Sunoo in the driver's seat, Jay soon climbing into the seat beside him followed by Jake appearing out of nowhere.
"This is ridiculous, you know that?" You started, gritting your teeth slightly from how much your head hurt, "I've been playing by your rules all fucking day, and now you just decide to punish me with a random sneak attack from your blood-thirsty goons?"
"You know what you were up to in that store, ____, so cut the innocent act," Jake started defensively, "We saw everything from outside."
"You saw what?" Jay inquired, fastening his seatbelt as Sunoo took off in the truck, exiting the parking space.
"She must've told that old chick something off about us. I caught her trying to call the cops in the back," Sunghoon clarified.
"I didn't tell her anything about you sickos... she just recognized Jay and wanted to help, given how crazy you clearly are," you fought back, wrestling with the door knob but to no avail.
"God, can I just punch her again?" Niki groaned in annoyance, "I swear, she never stops running her damn mouth."
“Remember what Jay said, we're not allowed to leave any bruises on his precious toy,” Heeseung sighed, cracking his knuckles and glancing at you from his seat, “…Unfortunately.”
“What’d you guys do to Mandy?”
The car nearly rocked you out of your seat before Jungwon reached over a hand to hold you in place, “We cooked her in a skillet with onions and bell pepper.”
Their lack of humanity was unbelievable.
“What’d you sick freaks do to her!?” You screamed with a cracked voice, pushing Jungwon's hands off of you in a fit of rage.
Sunoo was getting so annoyed with your whining that he slammed his foot and the gas, causing the view outside the window to become blurry given the increased speed.
"Hey, try not to get us all killed before we even get there, speed demon," Jungwon sighed, wrapping his hand around the roof's coat hook.
Sunoo slightly slowing down a bit as he trailed down a rocky path you're sure you've seen recently.
Maybe even just yesterday.
Before you knew it, the truck was coming to a complete stop under the shady forest-life surroundings, doors unlocking in sync at every which end.
Just like before, Jake and Heeseung carried you out of the vehicle before detaining your arms, clutching you by both the armpits.
Your shoulders were starting to tingle from how tightly they held onto you, your feet dragging dumbly behind as they walked towards a ledge where the rest of the boys stood nearby.
By now, you're not sure if it was the fear making you feel dizzy, or your lack of energy from being starved all day, but what you knew for sure was that fighting against the seven boys always made you feel better than just taking their plows.
“I know you’re not gonna throw me over, so you can put me down already," you taunted them, frustration still ever present in your voice as you spoke, "You punks don’t have the balls to.”
"Oh, yeah," the eldest boy started amusedly, "Maybe I'll have to prove you wrong sometime-"
“For the love of God, would you stop being horny for one second?” Jay cringed in disgust, to which Heeseung only chuckled in response.
“Look. Sunghoon and I have a better idea,” Jungwon offered, motioning for Niki to walk towards you as Jake and Heeseung still held you firmly in their arms.
“Mhm, and what’s that?” You challenged, not feeling threatened in the slightest by Niki’s presence in this moment.
You’d give it to him that he was scarier than the others, but his age was enough for you to underestimate him.
Bad move, honestly…
“You say we won’t throw you over, right?" Niki huffed, staring you down with his piercing eyes as he stood behind you, "Then I say let’s prove that theory wrong,” Niki grunted, kicking you in the back as gravity snatched you clean from Jake and Heeseung's grip.
You tumbled down the hill, rocks and sticks coming into contact with your fragile skin before you rolled into a steep ditch, falling flat on your back. A bit of dirt got caught in your throat, making you cough more than desired given how sore your stomach was feeling now.
“What the fuck, Niki?” Sunghoon scolded the younger boy, aggressively pushing his shoulder.
“I had to do something! Otherwise we would’ve just spent our time taunting her for hours. And besides, she was gonna rat us out anyway.”
Sunghoon shook his head at Niki's words, “But Jungwon and I didn’t agree upon kicking her over the ledge, Niki... Jay, aren’t you gonna do something about this? She could die down there!” Sunghoon pressed, a worried expression wavering over Jake’s face now, too.
“And I’ll worry about that in the morning,” Jay said plainly, biting his lip as if in thought before continuing, “Go home. All of you.”
“But," Sunoo started, finally starting to feel an emotion other than anger, "what about you?”
“I’ll get back my own way. Just do as I say,” he answered coldly, leaving the camp sight and heading up the hill, likely to walk home for the night.
"All… alright then," Heeseung frowned almost, motioning with his hand for the rest of the boys to follow him as they walked back to the truck, obeying Jay's words.
You heard most of the conversation but your coughing caused you to miss a few parts. Though, one phrase echoed in the back of your mind a few times as your eyes began to fail you in the darkness of the hole.
She was gonna rat us out anyways...
That's when you felt something fuzzy crawl over your hand.
Wait- no?
It was actually kind of cold and sticky- OH MY GOSH, something else just crawled over your foot!
A- and... what the heck, your face.
A family of rats ran rampant around you, your scream of terror causing the sickening creatures to retreat to whatever hole they crawled from as you got up from the ground, now feeling more disgusted than ever.
The tears were finally starting to fall again.
The squeaks that croaked from their tiny bodies was enough to make you feel nauseous, and the smell of rot that emitted all around you didn't seem to help, either.
You fell back to your knees, too weak, too hungry, and too hurt to keep pushing yourself. And for what? That clan of reckless freaks who had no other goal in life but to help Jay fulfill his delusional needs?
A cluster of thoughts floated within the foggy space of your mind.
What if you submitted to Jay from now on?
Would that really make him happy?
Would that really change the rocky course in which your life already in pieces was crumbling upon?
No, you fought with your depleting strength, I can't give up on myself… not just yet.
You tried climbing out of the ditch, shoving your feet into the soft dirt that made up the walls, but you were already in too deep.
It didn’t bring you any more comfort knowing that you’d be stuck down here for the rest of the night, and maybe even longer if Jay saw fit. No matter how loud you screamed nor how pitifully you cried, no one was coming to save you.
To be continued…

LOWKEY. ◦ prev. next.

A LATE AFTERNOON TUTORING SESSION, your skin absorbing the radiance of the sun through the window, while the curtains sway back and forth in a pattern your eyes darted towards.
swinging your backpack over your shoulder, a stack of papers clutched in your arms, you take your time on the stairwells, too exhausted to quicken your step. with a stomp, you sigh, hoping whoever your "mentee" was, wasn't some douchebag.
reaching your destination, you swing the classroom door open, only to be met by a dim, quiet classroom—the only sound most audible was the thumping of the air conditioner. shrugging, you meekly pull a chair back, stacking heaps of books on top of each other.
your brow furrows at the sound of the door slammed open, making you huff under your breath. whipping your head to the door hastily, your gaze trace over the girl's features. "y/n, right?" the girl mumbles, a thin line playing on your face.
you nod, pulling the chair beside you to beckon the girl to sit beside you, "and you are?"
"jimin, but karina's just fine too," karina mutters, taking the seat beside you. her eyes flicker to the amount of books on the desk, muttering curses under her breath before leaning back, her gaze fixating on your lips.
jesus christ, every glance at you brought poor karina back to flashed of that night—the same night in which her lips were pressed against yours enticingly, the one you seem to not even remember—and god, was it driving the korean girl insane.
karina shifts uncomfortably, her arms folded against her chest, as the suffocating silence lingers, only before you speak up, "uh—history, right? you need help in that, right?"
the korean girl only nods, the heavy tension weighing down on you two, even though you didn't even know the reason why. your hands meet the history textbook, flipping to the first few pages—each page marked up with some sort of writing of yours, some written sloppily, while the others were written clearly.
your nails dig into the textbook, as you clench your hands, noticing the way karina's gaze shifts ever-so-quickly to your movements, scrutinizing you, even. what the fuck was wrong with her? all you could remember was finding her pretty, which you only knew from checking your private account's tweets from the other night, while karina looked almost horrified, as if she saw a ghost.
karina hovers over you, as you explain some concepts that fell deaf on the korean girl's ears, her brain solely focused on you—the way your eyebrows furrow as you speak, the gleaming smile on your face, and your tousled yet perfectly-styled tresses. fuck, why did you have to be so gorgeous?
while an hour or two passes with you simply reviewing over concepts and the final exam's standard format and criteria, karina's hands reach a piece of ripped paper, immediately folding a paper plane with precision. she gently tosses the airplane in the air, the wind guiding it back to the two of you.
you huff in response, "c'mon, just review over this one topic, and you'll do fine on your next unit exam." to which, she huffs in retaliation, groaning dramatically, before her hand curls around your wrist, "just a little fun won't hurt."
with resignation, you meekly nod, not wanting tension to still burn between the two of you for who-knows-what, and besides, karina had been responding to your questions much better, her voice unwavering.
maybe tutoring wasn't so bad.

"My president" || jeong yunho || one-shot
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
| genre: non!idol ateez. fluff. slice of life | mentions: teasing. fainting. jewelry gift. | This is literally my high school delusions. My old school is literally an 'old school' school like no phones and computers, being in a relationship is not allowed, and big ass windows as our source of fans--- i mean we do have electric fans and ceiling fans but with the weather and a very old, close to dying, e-fans? We really have to depend on the wind from our windows. Anyways, this list is basically a true experience. My personal favorite? Song Mingi's.
Tumblr media
Jeong Yunho was no stranger to the weight of responsibility. After almost a week of election for the student council, Yunho won as the newly elected president of the high school department. Being the president of the student body council, his days were filled with meetings, event planning, and endless paperwork. Meeting with the head minister of the department for any event or team building. Yet, despite all his efforts, his own school work had started to pile up, deadlines looming over him like a dark cloud.
Yunho rolled his head side to side as he felt the heavy aching on his neck whilst he approached his classroom. The sun had long set when Yunho finally made his way back to his classroom. His footsteps echoed in the empty hallways, the only sound breaking the silence of the deserted school. As he slid the door open, he paused, his eyes landing on a familiar figure by the window.
You were there, alone and fast asleep, your head resting against the cool glass. He remembers you, of course who doesn’t. You were his rival during the campaign. He read your proposal and he was moved by your plans for the school year. He is totally rooting for your success in becoming the next president in the high school department although at the end, he was placed first.
Yunho hesitated for a moment, not wanting to disturb your peaceful slumber. Instead, he quietly settled into a desk diagonally from you, unpacking his belongings with careful movements.
The hours ticked by, and Yunho busied himself with the mountain of assignments he had neglected. The quiet hum of the night outside the window was a comforting backdrop to his steady scribbling. By the time he had nearly finished, he felt his eyes getting heavier as he scribbled down his notes before he had enough and laid his head down; not able to stop himself, he drifted to a nap.
After a few minutes of him falling asleep, the ends of the curtain woke you up as it grazed your face, making you stirred, slowly waking from your nap. Still half-asleep, you blinked at the room— it was dark but the light above you was the only source of light, your gaze eventually landing on the tall figure hunched over his desk. Recognition flickered in your eyes as you realized who it was.
Jeong Yunho. Your former rival for the student council presidency. But rivalry wasn’t quite the right word—there had never been any animosity between you. In fact, you respected his victory, accepting defeat with sportsmanship. It was clear Yunho had earned his position through hard work and dedication.
You quietly stood up, making your way toward his desk. Yunho was fast asleep, his long hair falling on his face making him stirred in his sleep before returning back to his nap. You chuckle, taking a pin out of your hair and pushing his hair behind his ear and securing it with the pin. Your action did not wake him up, to which you feel relieved. You took notice of his head resting on a pile of notebooks. His breathing was soft, and the exhaustion on his face was evident. You couldn’t help but notice the scattered assignments across his desk, some still unfinished.
“You must be so tired after all of this.” With a small sigh, you reached into your bag and pulled out your own notes. You carefully placed them on top of his bag, along with a small notepad. Scribbling a quick message, you left the notes for him before packing up your things. As you exited the classroom, you couldn’t help but glance back at Yunho one last time before heading out into the cool night air.
Yunho woke up a few minutes later, groggy and disoriented. As he rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms up, the nap made his energy pump up. Yunho ran his finger through his hair until he felt something stuck to his hair, frowning he pulled what it was and looked at the heart shaped hairpin. Yunho chuckles, yet confused as to why he has the pin in his hair in the first place until he recalled who owns it. A short flashback came in his head, seeing your hair tucked behind by the same pin.
Yunho chuckles, placing the pin in his chest pocket, as he pats the pocket, he notices the papers on his bag, it contains your notes and some of the copies of the printed notes from the book. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw your handwriting on the note:
Thought you could use some help. Hope this gets you through the rest of the night.
A soft smile tugged at his lips. He quickly packed up his belongings, heart racing as he realized you had already left. He couldn’t let you leave without thanking you. Throwing his bag over his shoulder, he dashed out of the classroom, his long strides carrying him quickly down the hallway.
His head snapped left and right when he reached the gate, looking for you. It wasn’t long before he spotted you walking ahead, your hands gripping the straps of your bag as you mindlessly wandered down the path, skipping a step. The wind picked up, causing your skirt to flutter slightly.
Yunho’s heart flutters at the sight of your dancing skirt, removing his blazer as he approaches you. Without hesitation, Yunho jogged up to you, draping his coat around your waist to keep the wind at bay.
Startled, you turned around, meeting his gaze. "Yunho?" you asked, surprised to see him.
"Be mindful of your back," he said with a gentle smile, tying the coat securely around your waist causing you to stumble towards his chest. Your hand laying on top of his broad chest, making your cheeks red. Yunho notices your cheeks, smiling adoringly at your cuteness.
"And… Thank you for the notes. I really needed them."
Blinking several times, you were shaken out of your thoughts, a shy smile forming on your lips as you both fell into step together. Clearing your throat, tapping his chest before you pull away.
Yunho nods his head towards the convenient store, “My treat.” You eyed him to which he chuckles, bumping his shoulder with yours before both of you fell in a laughing pit. As you purchase ice-creams and exit the store. The quiet of the night surrounded you as you walked side by side, the world around you fading away.

Dreaming of You
summary: in which you recall a dream you had about james potter.
warnings: little bit of dirty talk. sex dream.
words: 630.
notes: i said to myself i was going to finish the next one shot for sirius & emalia before starting anything new, and then this idea popped into my head and wouldn’t leave me alone. so here is another smutty little blurb for james.
Tumblr media
"I had a dream about you, actually."
The words left your mouth before you could stop them, and then the memories came flooding back as the dark-haired boy scrutinised you from across the table. James narrowed his eyes, his gaze playful as he lofted a brow.
"Yeah?" There was an obvious tease in his voice that threatened to send a blush creeping up your neck and into your cheeks. The boys around him snickered and laughed, with Sirius giving him a side look that was obviously smug male amusement, assuming that any dream a girl had had to be sexual in nature. "About what, exactly?"
Sirius' assumption wasn't exactly wrong, but you weren’t about to puff up the egos of either of them. They could be insufferable as it was.
"Oh, uh, well."
Tumblr media
There is a stream of light coming through the windows; the curtains are only half closed and barely blocking out the sun. The room was empty, classes having finished hours ago, but you hear the pattering of feet outside the door you’re pushed against.
Your skirt is rucked up around your waist, and your knickers are around one ankle. James is behind you, his cock sliding in the satin clutch of your pussy. Each time he bottoms out, you have to bite your tongue to keep quiet. It feels like he’s in the back of your throat, the impressive girth of his cock stretching you completely so that your arousal drips down your thighs and coats the dark curls at the base of his shaft.
"T - tell me again why we’re having sex in a classroom instead of a b - bed somewhere." You said, struggling to find your voice between soft pants. A particularly deep thrust forced a groan from you as his cock crashed deep enough to have your knees turning to jelly; the noise sent arousal racing through him.
James pressed a couple of quick kisses against your shoulder, his fingers biting into the curve of your hips while he pulled you back to meet the piston of his own. "Because," he said, his breath hot against your skin. "I saw those lacy red knickers when you were walking up the stairs, and I couldn’t fucking wait to have my cock buried in your tight pussy. You know how I feel about lace."
His words are punctured by intermittent deep thrusts, forcing the air from your lungs in loud, wonton moans. James clamped a hand tightly over your mouth to stifle them, knowing that someone would definitely hear. It makes it harder to breathe, makes you lightheaded, and turns you on all the more. His lips ghost over the shell of your ear, and you hear the amusement in his voice when your walls clamp tightly around him.
"Gotta be quiet, love. Unless you want someone walking in here while you're cumming on my cock? My dirty fucking whore."
Tumblr media
"Hey."
James snapped his fingers in front of your face to pull you from the memories, something that normally would have annoyed the hell out of you. Instead, you blinked at him slowly, your eyes a little glassy as the memories of the dream faded back into reality.
"I’m sorry, what were you saying?" You said, your voice soft, even a little whimsical, as you rubbed your thighs together beneath the table, hoping to stifle the damp heat that’s blossomed at your core.
James' gaze is less playful now and instead has turned more suspicious, as though he can smell your arousal in the air. He regarded you with a narrowed stare before speaking. "I wasn’t saying anything. You were about to tell us about the dream you had."
"Oh, right," you laughed, waving a hand between the two of you dismissively. "Something about penguins."

A Suit Filled Surprise

Pairing: Commander Philip Graves x teacher!Reader

Tumblr media
The kids were filling in their worksheet and continued to work on their printing as you continued to mark yesterday's grammar quiz; taking the time to place stickers and small motivational comments after each answer.
Pencils scrapped across paper in the background as the cheerful screams of other students on break coming through the floor level windows overpowered the small conversations happening between table-groups.
Checking in on the students you noticed as the curtains floated with the breeze. It was half-way to the summer break and the buzzing fan trying to combat the southern heat was struggling much like your sprained wrist. You smiled thoughtfully at the rows of desks while twirling your wedding band; thinking back to the card and chocolates they all bought you to get better soon.
Before you could make your way back to your desk to continue the mountain of papers and the ever-flowing flood of parental emails; your coworker Christina waved you over form your classroom joining door. Smiling and bringing your finger to your lips; she nodded and smiled widely herself before turning back around and explaining to her older grade that she would be back in a minute.
are you ready for parent-teacher night with your class? i could use some help with mine if you have time during your spare? Christina asked as she kept glancing towards your hall door. Yet just as you became growingly curious she held your arm and began to show you a list of planned material to prepare for over the summer. Nodding along while becoming a bit concerned over her obvious anxious figure.
You held her hand and opened your mouth; about to ask if you should look over her room so she could revive a much needed break early. Yet it would be the silence of your own classroom that overtook your concern for Christina; followed by a series of unanimous giggles that held your heel; about pivot to ask the class what was so funny.
You then felt Christina squeeze your hand before she asked your class to join hers; making sure she still held your full attention. Her eyes began to crinkle joyfully in a knowing look that had your anxiety reeling across your skin- turning pink.
As all the children joined the older class in the next room; Christina addressed the class while gripping on to your form, okay class! storytime together please- practicing their collaborative skill for their final report card. Looking at you once more than at the door; smiling widely she dropped your hand and walked back her room; closing the door behind herself.
Turning back to look at the now empty rows of desks; the children still played in the background as you made your way back to your desk. Shifting through the papers and submitting them on your records sheet you pen flew across the page. Marking a large red streak as you heard a throat clear.
Turning towards the door to glare at whomever decided, eyes going wide in seeing your husband, in a suit, leaned against the doorframe with flowers in his hand as you began to have flashbacks to prom all those years ago.
C'mon sweetheart is that anyway to greet your husband? Graves teased as you watched him stand upright and start to saunter up to your desk. Blinking in reaction; your body thought him to be an illusion; starting to shake; eyes becoming wet.
Baby, baby. He began to console you, kneeling beside your chair and taking your hands in his own as he began to rub small circles on the back side of your palms. You felt the cold matching ring against your skin as a smile began to form widely across your face matching his own.
Closing your eyes as you felt him cup your cheek and kiss the other; moving to your forehead next and then all the way down to your lips. Giggling at his scruff tickling your nose. You lightly grabbed the outlines of his suit jacket and pushed him away gently.
Large puppy dog eyes were all you had received in return. I missed you.
How about you show me how much? home is calling... he trailed off while glancing back at the door than back at you. He pulled your frame up lightly and then pulled you back into his lap. Starting to brush his nose against your neck, sighing softly; awaiting your response.
As you breathing and shakes still, you accidentally shift in his lap earning yourself groan, how could I ever say no to this suit?
I was debating between this and my field outfit; yet I figured I would become less of a scare with this... Laughing at your husbands commentary over a simple outfit, you felt yourself being lifted with a squeal escaping your lips and being carried out the door towards a black car. While exiting the building you saw Christina hold two thumbs up with a wink as you buried your face into his shoulder.
Placing you in the passengers seat he took off his coat jacket and threw it in the backseat and rolled up the sleeves of his dress-shirt to his forearms before leaning over and giving you a kiss. Igniting the engine, he placed a warm hand across your thigh.
Tracing the veins up his hands and arm; you saw his body shiver in response before moving his hand away and giving you a playful glare before moving his eyes back to the road. Let's just say that the drive home was a bit longer than usual...

𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄, 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋
pairing: teen!noel gallagher x fem!oc (fern gibson <3)
summary: in which noel tries not to get jealous over someone who he knows he shouldn't be worried about, and fern gets high for the first time to soothe the blow
word count: 2.92k
warnings: smoking, swearing, sexual references, mentions of past relationships with people who are now in a position of authority,
PART TWO IS HERE
Tumblr media
noel was fucking fuming.
he tapped out the butt of his cigarette against the low pillars of the gates, grumbling and crushing it under his shoe. the bell had gone ten minutes ago, and there was still no sign of fern emerging from the brick building. noel was about to light up another and he drew a cigarette out of the packet with his teeth as his other hand reached into his jacket pocket for a lighter.
chesc and eloise emerged from around the corner, giggling behind their hands as they walked down the road to the bus stop. before they managed to cross, noel whistled out of the corner of his mouth and he beckoned the girls over when they looked up at the noise.
"have yous seen fern anywhere?"
chesc shook her head, "sorry, no. i can't remember what she had last."
he muttered again and was about to spin around on his heel to leave, thinking that waiting by her car would be a better idea. eloise pulled a crumpled piece of paper out of her pocket before he could leave, though. she adjusted her glasses onto her nose. "yeah, that's it. she's had philosophy."
"oh." noel nodded. then upon his second drag after offering it over to eloise, "ah. that does sound familiar now you say. how long d'you think she'll be?"
"anyone's guess. i'm sure they'd let you wait inside for her if you want."
he could have laughed at the notion. "nah, you're all righ'. your, er," he gestured down the road, "the bus is here if that's useful for ya."
eloise made an angry grab at his hand and pulled it closer to her mouth for one last, final drag and she exhaled slowly. "c'mon you," chesc pulled at the sleeve of her blazer, "if we don't hurry up all of the good seats'll be gone."
both girls crossed the road and chorused out "bye, noel" over their shoulders. then, just his luck as the last embers of his cigarette died out on his finger tips, fat drops of rain fell one by one from the rolling grey clouds. he dropped the butt out of mild shock and out of irritancy he hiked his shoulders up to his ears and walked through the gates.
he hadn't ever been too far into fern's school, only really up to the top of the stairs where they sometimes sat together during her lunch break in the summer term. noel pushed forwards through the open doors, sidling up to the reception desk where the receptionist was staring down rather intently at a form requesting absence during term time.
noel cleared his throat. "'ello." he said, tapping his knuckles awkwardly on the desk, "i'm looking for fern gibson. she's, er, late for her driving lesson." he hoped his lie would work.
the receptionist clicked her pen and held it from one end in her claw-like fingers, using it to push his hands away. "her last class of the day was philosophy with mr watson. however if she's not there i'm afraid i can't help you as it is technically after school hours."
"right . . . thanks?" noel remained rooted to the spot.
"will that be everything?" she asked, sighing heavily as she looked up once again from the document, expecting his to have gone.
"no, could you tell me which classroom it was? just in case she's there."
"h7, up the stairs and all the way down the corridor, take a left and then three rights. you'll see it, can't be missed."
noel's feet propelled him down the languages corridor off the main hall and away from the receptionist. he traipsed up the stairs and was beginning to feel increasingly uncomfortable in the environment. it was all polished wooden floors and high ceilings, long windows with even longer curtains and framed pictures as far as the eye could see.
he tried to imagine fern walking around between classes, sitting at desks and listening intently; it wasn't a hard task. what was tricky, though, was trying to see her walking around his catholic secondary school, sans blazer and clearly out of her depth amongst the sort of people who flocked through the blue gates every morning.
instead he could see fern perched in window sills along corridors with eloise and chesc, whispering to each other and talking about their weekend plans. at some point he hoped fern would talk about him, perhaps what film she'd forced him to watch or how nice he could actually be when he felt like the world and its mother wasn't watching him.
right at the end of the second right turn was the sports corridor, and noel's attention was dragged away from daydreaming about fern to looking at the glossy pictures secured behind hand-crafted frames. football teams were lined up next to newspaper clippings and cut outs from scoresheets at inter-school competitions.
in one about tennis, where a year eleven had won out in a city-based championship, there was a picture of a twelve year old girl running frantically across the court. noel recognised the name, lottie reid, because liam had come home one day swearing blind she was the squarest girl he'd ever met.
he complained as he kicked the football at the wall, complained as he was forced to sit at the dinner table and complete his spelling homework, and complained as he and noel were brushing their teeth much later that evening.
further along and finally in the corridor after the third right turning, were copied and framed prize-winning essays written by students. he saw something fern had written about the reformation, an essay by the girl she hated, jessica, about the harrying of the north, and something eloise had written about pride within 'othello'.
the door of h7 appeared halfway along, and noel breathed out a sigh of relief when he saw the back of fern's head through the sliver of glass. his relief was short lived however, when he noticed fern was leaning closer to talk over the desk towards a student teacher.
something in him clicked then, his beaten up leather jacket and scuffed trainers weighing heavily on his shoulders and feet in a school he shouldn't ever have been anywhere near. noel knocked on the door and regretted it as soon as he did, though fern's face breaking out into a wide smile when she turned and saw him settled an unease lurking at the back of his mind.
she walked steadily over to the door and opened it, pulling him in with a hand around his arm. "noel!" if his reluctancy wasn't obvious by his slow steps then he didn't know how he was going to tell fern, without grabbing her by the shoulders and telling it to her face, how he was increasingly uncomfortable and wanted to leave as soon as possible.
he stood near the door and cast his eyes around the room, much bigger than any class than he could remember at barlow r.c. there were desks placed two by two, covered in ink stains and spills running through the knots of wood on the surface. fern's place, in the middle of the room, was obvious. her blazer was draped over the back and she'd hooked her bag over her chair delicately.
noel looked at her looking intently at her teacher who looked vaguely familiar. fern was nodding and humming, occasionally pointing her pen at something she agreed with before writing it down at the end of her essay. he tapped his fingers against his thigh in impatience, looking at the hands of the clock inch further round the numbers, and noel wished he wouldn't ever start thinking that looking at fern was boring.
there was a slight smudge of eyeliner out of place from where she'd rubbed at it. behind her ear was a pink bruise blossoming into a deeper shade of mauve, and noel knew there was a matching one on the back of her calf. right on the tip of her chin was a dash of pen in the colour he knew eloise used. her nails drummed rhythmically on the back of her refill pad in a constant meter. fern's leg was bouncing up and down in a tell that noel knew meant she was impatient to leave.
"but i think that's everything for you there, fern, so if you get the chance to add some improvements leave it on my desk monday morning and i'll get it back to you as soon as i can."
noel nearly let out an audible sigh of relief as fern started to pack her things away into her bag. she winked at him as she pulled her blazer on and hiked the straps of her bag higher up her shoulder. "thanks, sir. sorry to keep you."
he followed fern as she walked closer to noel, wrapping her hand over his wrist in preparation to drag him out of the classroom. "no no, it's no trouble at all miss gibson. i'm here whenever you need me."
it was noel who was ready to grab fern and run then, when her teacher, who's face had just been connected to a name in his mind, left his hand on her shoulder. he hoped she wouldn't blush. a light tinge flooded from fern's nose and she cleared her throat to rush out a thank you before wrenching the door open and shutting it firmly behind her.
she looked at noel guiltily, and avoided his stern gaze by pretending to pat her pockets down for something. "don't even start i'm not in the mood for it," she said and shot off down the corridor without another look behind her.
fern marched around corners and down the large stair case. she shoved open the doors to the school with her shoulder, leaving just enough time for noel to grab them and slip out behind her. the receptionist had gone home, leaving half-completed paperwork abandoned on the desk.
it was still raining when fern reached her car, and her hand slipped from the handle when she tried too hard too quickly to open it. when noel eventually caught up with her, fern was leaning diagonally with her forehead planted against the roof of her car, bag hanging open on her shoulder.
noel gently took her car keys from her hand and opened the car for her, feeling like he was folding her up and unravelling her in the drivers seat. fern slumped forwards and lay, rather dramatically, over the steering wheel as noel sat in awkward silence. he began to shuffle through the cassette tapes he'd filled the glovebox with in an effort to distract himself from fern's theatrical display of emotion.
eventually, fern slowly fixed herself upright. "sorry," she sighed, "i didn't know he was coming back. really."
when fern pulled onto her driveway, rather quickly sending her and noel jolting sideways, she was still arguing with him. "i'm telling you, i didn't know he'd come back." she unlocked the front door and stormed up the stairs, and noel heard a crash he assumed was her school bag being thrown into a corner of her room.
"that's not what i care about, fern, and ye fucking know it." noel yelled back, hanging his jacket over the banister at the foot of the stairs. she blazed past him still in her uniform and beelined for the kitchen. noel followed her, ignoring her setting up her notebook on the breakfast bar. he stood on the other side of the counter, arms folded over his chest.
fern glared up at him, pen held so tightly her knuckles were turning white. "well then what is it you do care about, noel?"
"that you didn't tell me when he did come back. you know i can't fuckin stand him and you never even thought to pissin' tell me!" he argued back, fighting the urge to grab the essay fern had written, that was covered in his handwriting, in both hands and tear it apart.
she scoffed behind her hand. "like that would have gone well."
noel pulled his head up to look right at her. fern had her eyes cast down to where she was re-writing parts of her homework onto a blank piece of paper, chin balanced on her hand as her eyebrows raised in anticipation for his response. he could hear her smirk and when she let out a little scoff and mumbled "thought so" noel opened the french doors and stepped out onto the patio.
fern watched out of the corner of her eye as he brushed down one of the chairs from the set of patio furniture and lit up a cigarette. against her better judgement, fern stared at the flex of his vein as noel clicked his lighter a few times, tucking it into his pocket once the cigarette he held in his lips caught the flame.
she tried to look at her essay and really take in the feedback she'd gotten from mr watson, but the glint in his eye when he told fern that noel was shuffling about outside the classroom kept her mind away from school work. outside, noel reached out to tap the end of his cigarette out in the ash tray abandoned in the middle of the table, but when he noticed fern shuffle her chair slightly closer to the doors noel moved his hand to the side.
fern was out of her chair and right infront of him faster than he could blink. "do you mind not tapping it out on the actual table? there's an ash tray for a reason."
"thought you were too busy reading what hugo's written specially."
if anyone else had spoken to her like that, noel would have expected fern to flounce away with a sharp turn of her heel. instead all he did was simply hold out the cigarette to her. she put her hand out to take it from him but noel only gestured with his head for her to sit down next to him. eyeing him cautiously, fern sank into the chair and leaned closer.
noel lifted up the cigarette to her lips and fern took a long drag, exhaling heavily. "come on. i'm really sorry."
"yeah, i know."
it wasn't that noel didn't like hugo (it really was, he fucking hated the cunt), it was more the fact that fern had a thing with him before he left to become a teacher. hugo was a year older than fern and noel, and while noel didn't associate with anyone or anywhere related to st augistine's day and boarding school, it left him with an uneasy feeling of dread whenever fern or her friends would mention her old boyfriend around him.
he had trouble with saying the words 'i'm sorry' even to fern, so offering her the rest of his cigarette was the next best thing. noel watched her cheeks hollow as she took the last three drags, and patted his knee when felix came streaking around from the side of the garden shed to preen around his legs. the small cat hopped up onto noel's lap and settled there, contently purring away, until a bird landed in the middle of the garden.
felix dug his claws in and pounced, using noel as a spring board and, not looking back at the small "fuck" that sent fern's eyebrows raising into her fringe, stretched his small body out for the bird that fluttered away as quickly as it had landed.
as felix settled into the middle of the garden, stalking away into the bushes to claw his way up the trees where the birds were chirping eagerly, noel thought enough time had passed to allow him to broach the question to fern. "are you still okay to drop me off at mike's tonight?"
she hummed. "i was thinking of coming with you, actually."
"that'll be-" noel had half-risen from his chair and remained so still it was like he'd been paused. "what?"
fern looked at him, feigning confusion. "last night, you said i could come with you if i wanted to."
"ha, um, look fern i wasn't really thinking perfectly straight when i said that." she pulled the same face at him that she'd done the night before. the one she made right before she pulled him into her room after mrs gibson had let him in through the front door, and pushed him down onto the middle of her bed only for fern to get halfway through palming him through his trousers when she declared she had homework to do.
upon recollection, in his haze of fleeting pleasure, there was a slight chance that noel had let the question slip. the look in fern's eye was far too much to take even for him, and he would have given in there and then if it wasn't for the chance that one of her neighbours could look out of their window to see a pair of teenagers getting it on in her parent's garden.
if anything, noel knew he had to make up for his overreaction to fern choosing, probably for the better because he knew he could be a miserable cunt at the best of times, not to tell him about hugo watson. he sighed and led her back inside, only to ask if he could use the phone.
"fine, you can come. but none of this prissy princess bullshit, and don't smoke, eat or drink anything that i don't give directly to you."

The Crush | Percy Jackson
Tumblr media
Percy Jackson is a cool, simple guy who is also the famous son of Poseidon who helped save the world. But, talking to the pretty girl in his English class still seems impossible.
Warnings: Mature themes/language. Violence. Sexual content.
Chapter One
Chapter Two: Study Date
The English project was coming along slowly. Percy would often get sidetracked bickering with Clarisse, so Chloé usually ended up having to contain her rage toward Clarisse and facilitate like a single mother with two children. That day, after Clarisse had stormed out of class and left Percy and Chloé to deal, the two of them looked to each other awkwardly.
“We still have a lot to do,” Chloé said, slowly looking at her laptop to realize just how behind schedule they were.
“Yeah,” Percy nodded in agreement, sighing exhaustedly.
“My place?” she questioned.
Percy stopped for a moment, having to recalibrate as he took a moment to think about what she had actually meant.
“To finish up,” Chloé added. “If we just cram for a couple hours, we could probably get close to finishing.”
Aggressively shutting off the large part of his brain that was still a twelve year-old boy, Percy shook off his thoughts, trying to communicate like a normal person. She looked at him strangely, waiting for an answer.
“Uh, yeah,” he nodded quickly, “Sure.”
“Okay,” she agreed as he followed her out of the classroom.
He silently left the college campus with her, as she made her way onto the neatly paved roads of New Rome to where she lived. Percy had assumed that, like many of the other adult-aged demigods who attended college, she lived in one of the barrack-style apartments built after the camp was added onto to suit more demigods.
He quietly trailed behind Chloé, following her home to her condo not too far from the school campus.
“Here,” she said softly, pulling a small ring of keys from her pocket as she unlocked the door for him.
“Thanks,” Percy said graciously, walking in after her.
As soon he stepped over the threshold, he felt the energy change. It wasn’t necessarily in a bad way, but Percy had a difficult time placing the thoughts and feelings he experienced as he entered Chloé’s sanctuary. Although the place looked relatively normal and didn’t seem sinister at all, he felt almost as if his stomach had dropped when she closed the door behind him.
He didn’t feel trapped, but he felt intensely aware. There was a darker ambience to the room. All of the windows were covered with dark curtains that seemed black with a bluish hue, and the only lights in use didn’t light up more than half the room.
Percy made his way to her living room, nearly jumping as a small, dark animal jumped in front of him along the top of the couch. He breathed softly, calming himself as he realized it was just a black cat.
“Don’t mind Jet. He’s friendly,” Chloé assured him, setting her bag down on a leather armchair. “Once he gets to know you, anyway.”
“Yeah. Sure,” Percy nodded, slowly stroking along the cat’s soft black fur as it sat down on the couch.
It didn’t seem particularly thrilled that he was in its space, disregarding him with narrowed eyes the way it would a fly as he continued petting it in long, repetitive strokes, trying to earn its favor.
“Jet. That’s a cool name,” Percy remarked as he tried to bond with the animal.
Chloé just shook her head, disappearing upstairs as Percy was left to sit alone on the couch, with the cat jumping down into the arm rest to watch him.
“Hey, buddy,” Percy cooed, trying to earn the cat’s trust. “You’re a cute little guy, aren’t you?”
Somehow, he felt the cat was unamused as he continued to look forward while he pet him. Looking around the room, Percy began to think more and more that Chloé was the most mysterious human being he had ever met. Her house wasn’t exactly decorated like a witch’s house, but it wasn’t far off.
There were intricate, beautifully woven tapestries that hung on the walls, depicting dark but beautiful scenes like a pale moon shining on the ocean in the dark of night. There were dark-colored, jagged rocks displayed on the tables that looked as though they had been pulled from the depths of Hades, or somewhere equally sinister. There were dead flower arrangements mostly consisting of thin, prickly branches still sitting in vases.
“Cats like fish, right?” Percy wondered aloud, thinking that his father was the god of the sea. “If you want, I could put in a good word for you with my dad. But you’ll have to be nice to me, though.”
The cat looked up at him for a moment, seemingly a look of consideration in his yellow cat eyes before he looked towards the stairs at who Percy had assumed was his owner, continuing to allow Percy to pet him. Percy turned, looking for Chloé as someone else ended up coming down the stairs.
He saw a tall brown-haired girl, who completely ignored him as she disappeared into the kitchen. A family member or a roommate, Percy figured. He waited patiently for Chloé, who came back downstairs, looking toward the kitchen as she heard the sounds of the other girl cooking.
“Oh. That’s my sister, Max,” Chloé informed him, walking toward the record played on a stand between her small couches.
He nodded, watching as she looked through her extensive collection of records, putting on what he recognized to be some sort of indie rock, something more soft and agreeable.
“Who’s older?” Percy asked curiously.
“I am,” she responded coolly.
Chloé finally sat down beside him, pulling out her laptop and other materials from her black school bag with the nice silver buckle on it, looking over to him once she was settled in.
“Do you want anything to eat or drink?” she asked.
Percy had forgotten that people typically asked their guests this question.
“Uh, maybe a water?”
Chloé looked at him as he suddenly realized how on the nose the response was, before nodding and disappearing into the kitchen. He pointedly looked back at Jet, the sleek black cat, with a pointed expression on his face.
“Is she always like this?” he remarked.
The cat naturally said nothing as he continued giving it the attention it seemed to want, as something else small came running down the stairs, the sound of a tiny, twinkling bell filling the air, somewhat startling to Percy. He saw a little grey cat jumping from the floor up onto the couch, settling into his lap as it nuzzled him with its entire body.
Percy chuckled at the little Siamese cat, petting its head affectionately.
“Hey there,” he murmured, entertaining the playful animal. “Hi.”
“That’s Ash. She’s my sister’s,” Chloé said, handing him a full glass of water. “Sorry. I forgot to ask if you wanted ice,” she sat down beside him.
“No, it’s cool, this is perfect,” he promised, “Thank you.”
She nodded as she opened up her laptop. Percy reached into his backpack, pulling out his as he watched her for what to do, feeling that she was better at being a college student and an adult than he was. Even after defeating monsters and Titans as a demigod, Percy still felt awkward around his crush.
He and Chloé spent the next couple of hours or so working on the parts of the project Clarisse had been too fussy about, leaving only the parts she would have to work on herself. Throughout the whole thing, Chloé only had to explain a couple of things to him, which he felt decidedly proud about.
Percy only realized the time once they had finally finished working. As Chloé sighed and shut her laptop, he looked around the room anxiously, making a point of it as he stretched both of his arms out behind her, yawning as he tried to find a way to fill the silence between them.
He sat there beside her as she finally looked back to him, not saying anything yet. She only looked at him with no discernible expression on her face, as if taking him in for the first time.
“You, uh, have a really nice place here,” Percy Jackson remarked, looking around her and her sister’s shared condo.
“Thanks,” Chloé said as she turned to face him.
Percy waited nervously for her to speak, wondering if she was about to kick him out. He checked his phone; it was 5:16, and she was sure to have been annoyed at him by now.
“It’s five,” she pointed out eventually, not having anything else to say.
Percy frantically looked between all of her various features, trying to deduce the hidden meaning behind her words she had assumed he’d pick up on.
“Max is gonna be home in a few minutes,” she added. “You wanna stay for dinner?”
Percy’s eyes lit up anxiously as he realized what she was asking him. “Really?”
“Yeah,” Chloé nodded. “My sister made mac and cheese.”
This was more than enough for Percy to decide.
“Yeah. That sounds awesome,” he agreed, mouth watering at the mention of mac and cheese.
“You wanna come help me set the table and stuff?” she invited him.
“Yeah! Sure!”
Percy followed as Chloé led him into the kitchen, where the oven was already in use.
“Can you heat up the chicken?” she asked. “I’ll do the broccoli.”
“Sure,” he offered, seeing the pot sitting on the counter by the stove.
He looked between the pot and the stove, figuring Chloé had most likely meant for him to put it back on the burner and heat it up.
“This is a lot of food,” Percy realized as he heated up the large pot of chicken.
“Well, we have to make enough for all of us,” she pointed out.
“‘All of us’? Who else is coming?” he wondered.
“Our other siblings,” Chloé replied.
As if on cue, Percy heard the front door open as multiple sets of footsteps sounded.
“Chloé! We’re home!” Max yelled. “Go wash your hands! It’s dinner time!”
Percy panicked as he automatically went to the kitchen sink to wash his hands.
“Not you,” she rolled her eyes, “You’re cooking.”
Chloé pulled the mac and cheese from the oven, making sure the stove was off as she moved everything to the dinner table as he helped set the five places she’d put out plates for. Max, Chloé’s sister, sat at her place next to Chloé by the head of the table.
“Max, this is Percy. Percy, this is Max,” she said formally.
“Hey,” Percy waved in a friendly manner.
“Hey,” Max said coolly.
Suddenly, two children came running to the table, taking their seats as Percy looked to them in surprise.
“Guys, this is Percy,” Chloé announced in an authoritative voice.
“Hi, Percy,” a boy and girl chorused before they dug in, with Max occasionally helping them scoop.
As she helped put food on their plates, the two children stared at Percy blankly.
“What are your names?” he asked with a smile.
“I’m Laney,” the girl told him.
“My name’s Hunter,” the boy responded.
“Nice to meet you guys,” Percy said warmly. “How old are you?”
“I’m six,” Hunter told him excitedly. “My birthday was Sunday.”
“Well, happy late birthday,” Percy smiled. “How old are you, Laney?”
“Eleven,” she said promptly.
“Are you both Half-Bloods?”
“Yeah,” Laney nodded.
“They’re both going to school until they’re ready for the full camp,” Chloé explained.
“Are you all Nox kids?” Percy asked them.
“No,” Max said quickly. “Chloé’s Nox, I’m Mars, Laney’s Venus, and Hunter’s Hephaestus.”
“Is that even possible?” he wondered.
“Apparently,” Max shrugged. “Our dad’s a slut.”
Percy looked over at the kids in shock, slowly seeing that they were used to the way their older sisters talked and knew better than to repeat any of it in front of them.
“Do you guys take care of them?” Percy asked Chloé and Max, not seeing any parents around.
“Yeah,” Max nodded, not talking much at all as she ate.
“Why?” he looked to Chloé.
“Our dad ran out,” she explained bluntly.
“Oh,” Percy said softly, frowning.
“It’s fine,” she consoled him as she put food on her plate, “We’re better off without him. Trust me.”
“Why, uh… Why’d he leave?” he asked thoughtfully.
“He’s an alcoholic. I don’t even think it’s that he left, he honestly probably forgot how to find his way back,” Chloé scoffed.
Percy was thrown by the way she spoke about things even in front of the kids. He sat through the dinner with a different appreciation for Chloé and her sister, not that he hadn’t appreciated Chloé before. He watched as she and her sister spent the evening talking to the kids about their days at school and the after school program.
He couldn’t help but smile at the way Chloé handled the kids, speaking a little more pleasantly to them and taking the time to make sure they all finished their homework. Percy watched her as she sent them upstairs to wash up before bed, admiring her responsibility.
“You wanna go for a walk?” Chloé asked as she finished up.
“Hmm?” Percy perked up, not expecting her to say anything to him.
“For a smoke,” she stated.
“Yeah! Sure,” he accepted excitedly, standing up.
Chloé nodded and grabbed her jacket, leading him out the door. Percy dutifully trailed behind her, lips pursed together as he waited for her speak as she lit up a cigarette.
“You want one?” she asked, offering him the open pack.
“Uh…” Percy was lost as he tried to come up with an answer.
He knew he didn’t smoke, of course, but he also couldn’t come up with a great reason as to why. He didn’t smoke, but he’d also never smoked a cigarette before.
“Yeah! Sure,” he smiled, hesitantly pulling a cigarette from the pack.
He took it and just held it in his hand as she handed him her lighter, which he took, holding both in each hand in confusion.
“Uh,” Chloé stared.
Percy looked at her awkwardly, still holding the cigarette.
“Here,” she said, taking the cigarette out of his hand.
He made a sound as she stuck the cigarette into his mouth, chuckling as she lit it for him, hand shielding it from the wind. Percy silently nodded his thanks as she pulled away, lighting her own cigarette.
“You’ve never had a cigarette before, have you?” she figured.
Percy looked down in defeat. “No, I haven’t,” he confessed. “But I’ve done everything else before,” he tried to save it.
“Everything?” Chloé raised an eyebrow.
“You know what I mean,” he groaned.
“You’re more of a drinker, huh?” she deduced.
“I get high too,” he shrugged awkwardly.
“And you can’t light a cigarette?” she questioned in confusion.
“Hey, I, like, never do the lighting!” Percy protested. “I always have people do the rolling and the lighting for me! Because I don’t know how,” he mumbled under his breath.
“I can roll one for you,” she offered softly.
“What, right now?” he looked at her in surprise.
“Yeah. Sure,” she agreed. “We can split some in my room.”
Percy nearly fainted at those words.
