Brand new video out. LINK in bio. (And can I just say Phew!) KOYUNBABA the complete bar-by-bar breakdown is now out on YouTube. This has been an epic achievement. I started filming this in June 2020. 8 videos, 11months later, the piece is complete. Each video requires a massive amount of forethought. Then you need to film, A roll, B roll, intros, outros, click on my channelos.😉. Before it takes about a week (off and on) to edit, colour, mix, snip, massage, curse and fix again. Before it's ready. Then the fun starts with YouTube. Channel pics, tags, SEO, descriptions etc. It's a never ending whirl. So next time you're perusing YouTube and see a video you like. At the very least hit LIKE. There is a lot of work that goes into those videos and most people in there aren't getting kick backs for it. Many titles for this post. Dad life with guitar. Bach n barbie. Or my life with unicorn lights. (I'm sure there are more 😉) You choose. This is my practice for the day, joining up the Prelude with that delicious Fugue from BWV 998. Tempo setting; making sure I'm clarify the fugue voices, not highlighting them; and listening to the affect between the movements. This music has so much, and this is the reason I still get up and practice everyday. Discovering hidden worlds in dots over 300 years old. This is why I do what I do! Sharing music in unique ways. Grateful. (The added bonus is someone has discovered Leo Brouwer's music. Which does cross cultural, and genre, divides) Comments like this, from someone that is willing to open to a new genre to learn. And then is brave enough to post it. Learning music should not be constrained by genre. If you can get where you want to go by switching lanes, picking up some tips, and more importantly-being challenged by new music. Do it. You lose nothing by trying.
