I really hope these goobers being in Multiversus convinces CN to greenlight Craig's current PPG Project (Apparently that's still up in the air) We really need Classic PPG to make it's comeback after 2016 and the disaster that was the cancelled CW show

Bunny And Bliss (Reset AU)
Tumblr media
Flat Colored:
Tumblr media
This has been made for a while but I haven't gotten around finishing it until now. These are designs for Bunny and Bliss for my Reset AU. (Will provide the link below about it)
What is Reset AU? It is a PPG AU that takes place around the 2010's having the classic girls from 1998- 2005 and the reboot girls from 2016-2018 be fused together. Being in a world of perfect mix and balance of both world. (With writing being good and not shit of course lol)
It took a while to come up with Bliss's design but I liked how it turned out so far, I want her to have like a reddish brownish hair to compliment with her silver color which was inspired by the OG "perfect girl" in the "Whoopass Girls" pilot. And no NOT Bell by Bleedman.
Which funny enough she was going to have silvery white hair as well but decide against it after many others say that the reddish brown hair looks better. I tried to reflect the hair style on the "original Bliss" as well as making her hair kinda like a mix of the girls each since that is what she is supposed to be.
She has back hair as well as a small heart shaped bun tied up. (Not a cowlick mind you)
Bunny does exist in my other AUs but I wanted to do something that reflects more on her canon design this time, as well as seeing a lot more recently people drawing Bunny being stablized whilest retaining her OG form and I kinda like that .3. Though that does not change the other Bunny designs from other AUs.
Honestly I liked how it turned out so far and hope you guys enjoy this ^^

Next up for Cartoon Network era of shows, who is your favorite character from each of the mid-late 2010s Dimensional era (shame they didn't get the best treatment and exposure on the channel, being the point when Cartoon Network was overplaying Teen Titans Go and pushing most other shows to the side) shows you've seen like: We Bare Bears, The Powerpuff Girls 2016, Mighty Magiswords, Ben 10 2017, OK KO Let's Be Heroes, Apple & Onion, Craig of the Creek, and Summer Camp Island?
We Bare Bears: Ice Bear though I loved them all. And as for thoughts, I really need to go back and watch all of this show as it was really good. Relaly solid. I think I just was in that hole of "If the status quo dosen't change I dont like it" which is still mostly true, it is kinda annoying to have a series long arc of someone wants to get a girlfriend with panda and not.. doing anything with that. But it's very clearly mostly slice of life shenanigans. ALso seems to have ended well
PPG: SIlico as he seems neat.. but I watched maybe one episode of this. I wasn't intrested, everything I heard was bad and looking back it seems half assed.
Mighty Magiswords: Yet another one from this era (and the last) I need to go back to, a true classic. Character wise I love Porhias for his voice and whole vibe. Though Vambre's legs will always have a place in my heart... moving on.
Ben 10 Reboot: Kevin having a bootleg omnitrix. This one I didn't see much of and while I may watch it some day for completions sake... it seems mid. Not as messy as ultimate or omniverse with some growth and really intresting ideas, but not nearly as intresting as the og or alien force seasons 1 and 2. It's firmly in the middle: trying hard to be funnier, inoffensive, but as bad as omniverse could get in it's worst moments... it had ambition. 2016 takes a much needed fresh start and just kinda... does a weaker version of the first show without the charm or real stakes or neat jack kirby-esque art style.
OK KO Let's Be Heroes: It's like asking me to pick my children you monster. But i'd have to go with Professor Venemous. He's a compelling villian, and while I feel we coudl've gotten more post shadowy figure takeover out of him (and may give him just that some day), he's an intresting villian whose bisexual as hell, clever and whose motivatoin and history with characters is great. The cast as a whole is though as this is the best show of the bunch here, though it has close compettition and you can probably guess who. It's fun, has well done character arcs, great action at a time Cartoon Network hated doing acction scnees (it's why SU got the shit end of the stick for a while and why this show ultimately did not last) and ended on one hell of a final episode (The actual climax is mixed but still pretty good given the time constraints). An all time classic and one of the best show's cn's put out and certainly one of my faviorites.
Apple and Onion: Onion, though ti's bittersweet given the whole Grahm Lihean thing. God dammit richard. A great show I wish i'd watched more of, really sweet and chill and like most of these as you pointed out , given the short end of the stick for teen titans not for me.
Craig of the Creek: Another all time faviorite and one I need to watch more of including the full story arc. But what i've seen of the story arc is excellent and the show as a whole is great, the recess successor I didn't know I wanted. It's still largely i'ts own thing but it's hard not ot see "Kids in their own elabroate clicks with terriotirY" and not think recess, but going way bigger than it's more grounded cousin. It's still clear most fantasy stuff is just the kids imaginations, but it dosen't hold back a fantastic show with a stacked roster of characters, a truly great world that just gets better and better, and a lot of nice character growth and moments. I'm not ready for it to end and boo HBO MAx for not wanting one of thier most succesful shows to go on. Favorite is JP. Eaisly. he's the boy.
Summer Camp Island: I"ve barely seen any of it I hear it's great and once again they screwed it over badly.

I have been on a little binge on Powerpuff Girls Z (Remember that One Japanese Adaptation of the PPG where the Girls now go to High School, not even Sisters, and were just ordinary girls with Magical Girl Power? Or am I truly one of those kinds of people who have seen that?).
Anyways, because I've been a little nostalgia watch on some Good Old Classic CN Childhood, I wanted to try on watching the Anime version of the PPG and so far, I actually like the Anime more than the Original (even though I still love the Original series no matter what). I dunno why, maybe it's because that Obscurity and Anime are always running down through my blood? IDK but chances are that the First Foreign Reboot is a lot better than that sh*t 2016 reboot with some Creepy-Ass writer for a Self-Insert.
Because in the Anime version that the Girls are no longer sisters and actually have families of their own (with their Creator now having his own Family with a Single Son and Wife but still acts like a Father Figure to the Female Trio), I was most likely bumped that we never got to see who the Parents of Bubbles (or at least, "Miyako" as she was actually called in the Anime of the Japanese Dub) are since it was confirmed that she does live with her own Grandmother where's Blossom (Momoko) and Buttercup (Kaoru) live with their own Parents and Siblings. Miyako (I'm just gonna randomly call the PPG's Anime Counterparts by their own Actual Names, deal with it) is an Actual Single Child with No Parents and this leads Me into wonder what the Parents of the Single Daughter might've looked like.
So yeah, because we never got to see an Interpretation of Miyako's own parents (most likely based on an Idea where each of the Powerpuff Girls weren't even Sisters and had their own Family Trees, so to speak), I've wanted to try to do a little personal fanon interpretation of how I think what Miyako's parents might've looked like in the PPGZ Universe. My Headcanon names for Miyako's Parents are "Hanami" (Meaning "Flower") and "Mizuwokakeru" (Meaning "Water") or just "Mizu" for short, because since "Miyako" is actually a Japanese name meaning "Beauty", I'd figure why not just pick Random Japanese Names for Miyako's own parents that have meanings similar to their Daughter's name (because in the PPGZ universe, it was actually set in Japan much like how PPG was set in America).
I imagine that Hanami (the Mother) would be a Fashion Designer just like how her Daughter wanted to be and even the Father (Mizu) as a Former Sailor who retired from Sailing but is still attached to Nature's Sea Life.
BTW, Not really a fandom-joining mood btw, this is just for random fanart of random HCs or ideas that I don't think big much on.

If I could reboot
Now I know reboots of classic and beloved shows of our youth are technically looked down on in certain fanbases for arguably good reasons. But here me out I’ve been thinking and pondering on something a question of which was “If I could reboot a show, what would it be? What would I change and what would I keep?, and the most important one of all how would it still feel like the original show or series and not step too far into fanfic territory?” ( and with that I mean your just doing your own thing and straying real far from the source material.)
So for what I came up with was if I could I would give the Powerpuff Girls another try. I know the 2016 version is one that is not in particularly loved especially by me & on top of that I didn’t really watch the show I just saw a couple of clips and from what I saw I didn’t really care for it. Which kind of saddens me because I loved the intro that CN released for the show when it was announced that they were brining them back. And also I love the PPG’S a whole bunch. So much so that when I found out that there was an anime version of the PPG’S I instantly wanted to watch it and luckily YouTube hade a couple of episodes uploaded and some were even dubbed which was helpful.
And let me tell you I also loved the anime versions of these girls and the changes they made for them. I mean yeah at first when I watched it I was a little taken aback with what they have changed but to me they weren't that jarring. I liked how they weren’t really sisters and how they became a cute friends, I liked that they went the route of them being “magical girls” and transforming into the hero selves. On top of it all to me at least it still felt like it was the Powerpuff girls, nothing was too different that would have me to dislike or hate it.
But what where here to talk about is what I would do if I was to revive this show. What I would do is combine the original Powerpuff Girls & Powerpuff Girls Z. Keep the 60s modern feel for setting and have the characters designs simple but close to an anime artstyle. Like for example Magical DoReMi’s style or say Studio Triggers style. Have the backgrounds in watercolor like in Sailor Moon or any old studio Ghibli movie. For concept we can take form PPGZ by having the girls 1) not be related. 2) have them hit by piece of an asteroid that landed near Townsville. 3) have the Professor be their gradian for helping them with their powers. 4) keep magical girls aspect of the show. What to take from the original PPG would be 1) their names. 2) their Villans. 3) setting ex: Townsville, USA. 4) Characters in general. 5) the girls personalities. 6) professor being single & a scientist.
What would I add would have to be 1) I would add some characters from the ‘16 reboot. only because I feel like they could be better characters if written and handled well. For ex. Sapna  or even Bliss ( the one many didn’t like because of how she felt like a character the art directors kids made and forced the team and working staff to write a story about her and put her in the show.) But like I said she could be interesting if handled better. For me she is another super who works for Dick Hardly who works as an agent or sponsor for hero's in Townsville. 2) some characters from PPGZ.  3)  an monster island for where the monsters live not to far from the city. 4) other hero’s that were in the old show maybe some from the 2016 show (maybe) 5) an agency that sponsor's hero’s
For the most part that's what I have in mind I might post some drawings that I have been working on. As well as more on this concept maybe get into more detail, but for now that’s it. If anyone has any suggestions or wants to answer the question of what they would reboot I would like to hear it.

Brandon Bussi, Goaltender (Providence Bruins): Signed by the Boston Bruins as a free agent out of Western Michigan University,  has been one of the AHL’s top goaltenders throughout his rookie season, posting a record of 21-5-4 while ranking second in the league with a .925 save percentage and fourth with a 2.38 goals-against average. The native of Sound Beach, N.Y., did not lose in regulation on home ice until Apr. 1 and has made at least 30 saves in a game on 14 occasions, going 10-1-3 in those contests. Bussi represented Providence at the AHL All-Star Classic in February. Ryker Evans, Defenseman (Coachella Valley Firebirds): The second player ever selected in an NHL Draft by the Seattle Kraken (35th overall in 2021), Ryker Evans has totaled 44 points in 68 games for Coachella Valley this season, leading all AHL rookies with 38 assists and ranking second in plus/minus with a plus-21 rating. Evans has also helped anchor the Firebirds’ power play, collecting 18 assists on the man advantage. A 21-year-old native of Calgary, Alta., Evans participated in the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic. Jeremie Poirier, Defenseman (Calgary Wranglers): A third-round pick by the Calgary Flames in the 2020 NHL Draft, Jeremie Poirier has collected nine goals, and 32 assists for 41 points in 66 games for the league-leading Wranglers in 2022-23. The puck-moving defender is also a perfect 4-for-4 in shootout attempts this season, the best mark in the entire AHL. Poirier, 20, is a native of Valleyfield, Que., and turned pro after four junior seasons with Saint John (QMJHL). Ethen Frank, Forward (Hershey Bears): Ethen Frank is tied for the AHL lead among rookies with 27 goals and has totaled 46 points in 56 games for Hershey this season. Undrafted out of Western Michigan University, where he led the nation in goals in 2021-22, Frank signed with the Bears on Apr. 11, 2022, and earned an NHL contract with the Washington Capitals for 2023-24. The 25-year-old native of Papillion, Neb., was named the AHL Rookie of the Month for January, and he set a league record in the fastest skater event at the 2023 AHL All-Star Skills Competition with a lap of 12.915 seconds. Tye Kartye, Forward (Coachella Valley Firebirds): The AHL’s top-producing rookie with 55 points (27 goals, 28 assists) in 69 games, Tye Kartye, has been a catalyst for a Coachella Valley offense that ranks second in the league in scoring. The 21-year-old native of Kingston, Ont., is also second among all rookie forwards in plus/minus with a plus-17 rating, and his seven game-winning goals are tops for first-year players. Kartye was named the AHL Rookie of the Month for March after putting up 11 goals and 17 points in 15 contests. wait I literally forgor comic Ace and 2016 ppg Ace... (I don't know much about FF I still don't even know if it's official??) anyway comic Ace usually stays pretty true to pre-movie classic, sometimes he's a bit more New York than usual but that's cool, and for 2016 Ace he's definitely got a sillier way about him. like he talks kinda weird ("im intrigue-ed") and he just feels a lot more lighthearted and I dunno, childish? he operates on looney tunes rules also. he's very silly
all the Aces do have slightly different traits, also- like 1998 pre-movie Ace will serve as the blueprint here. movie Ace is a whole lot more menacing than any other Ace. post-movie Ace is a bit sweeter than pre-movie, surprisingly. he doesn't hit his friends as much anyway, and he seems a bit more outwardly dumb. PPGZ Ace seems to be a bit smarter than you'd expect. then Gorillaz Ace, he's hard to pinpoint because he didn't get any actual lines but I'd say he reads as a little more self conscious, paranoid, and reflective (based on his reaction in Humility, the bunker thing, and his desire to write about his life) but still mischievous (steals toasters)

I just did a rewatch of the classic PPG cartoon, and Professor Utonium is such a Dad™️ to the girls. It alternates between being beautifully heartwarming and endearingly embarrassing with just how doting, loving, and protective of the girls Professor Utonium is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are just not enough genuinely good dads in cartoon sitcoms.
#classic ppg#classic ppg rewatch#powerpuff girls#professor utonium#og Professor utonium is such an adorably heartwarming and hilariously embarrassing Dad™️ to the girls!#og Professor utonium was such a great dad in classic PPG!#a dorky sometimes overprotective and occasionally embarrassing dad but still a good dad!#he let his five year old girls help him get ready for a date and didn’t complain when Bubbles put a bowtie in his hair just kept smiling!#he dressed up as Bubbles to make her happy when the girls were playing PPG on a rainy day of no crime when her sisters didn’t want to be her#he built a giant robot for the girls to protect them when he got afraid of losing them in a battle against a giant fish balloon monster#he built a supersuit to fight crime with the girls so they could spend more time together#and then inadvertently embarrassed them by being a cheesy doting old fashioned and overprotective Dad™️#wtf did the writers do to him and the girls in the 2016 reboot?#yeah he had some ooc moments here and there but for the most part OG Professor Utonium was such a good dad!#There are not enough genuinely good dads in movies and tv shows even the ones aimed at children#watch the writers of the CW live action PPG reboot ruin his character again by making Professor Utonium a shitty dad to be ‘dark’ and ‘edgy’#*sighs* why does the CW keep ruining beloved childhood cartoons by making them ‘dark’ and ‘edgy’ live actions of disillusioned young adults?

OK, Powerpuff Girls fans, listen up.
the reboot? we get it, it's not so great. that clip showing the girls twerking with a giant panda? gross. the new character, Bliss, with her strange hair color and stilt legs? not the best idea. the reboot doesn't live up to the fame of the original show, we totally understand that.
however, that does NOT mean you have to treat fans of the reboot like complete and utter degenerates for enjoying it. they might see something in it that you don't. they might think things like Bliss are actually pretty cool.
the reboot DOES have fans, believe it or not. a lot of reboot fans I've met are actually really nice, and they have feelings too. they're just as capable of making awesome art as original PPG fans are.
and for fuck's sake, I REALLY don't like it when classic fans boast about their show all the time to reboot fans, calling it "the real PPG" and shit. there is no "real" PPG. a fan of the reboot or even the PPGZ anime is just as valid as a fan of the original show, because at the end of the day, everyone has different tastes. reboot fans might get a more laidback vibe from their show and enjoy it because of that.
so please, try to stay calm when discussing the reboot. it's not as good as the original, I understand that, but it's no reason to mock and bully its fans because you don't agree with their perspective. to me, all Powerpuff Girls fans are the same.

This is like a for fun side AU I made a while ago called the PPG Reset AU Its basically a mix of the Powerpuff Girls 1998 and Powerpuff Girls 2016. But with a slight twist at the end. I made this AU to take a turn for my child hood during around the 2010's to 2015's so this AU is pretty much set around it. I did have fun with it honestly, I'll definately post more of it in the future when can since Deviantart and Twitter and Instagram seem to like this AU more than my other main ones. Though I'm still keeping my Small Connections AU and Butterfly Effect AU as my mains. Anyways hope you guys like it! PPG Reset AU is owned by me. PPG Classic (1998) is owned by: Craig McCracken  PPG Reboot (2016) is owned by: Nick Jennings and Bob Boyle

There were a few times when Bubbles was insecure about her bravery and strength in the classic cartoon, especially since she tended to be more easily frightened than her sisters. It doesn’t mean that she was a coward, just a normal little girl, but Bubbles going off the rails in “Bubblevicious” was her overcompensating by overreacting to citizens to try to prove she could be even more “hardcore” at stopping crime than her sisters.
In “Boogie Frights,” Bubbles expresses a fear of monsters coming out in the dark, which Buttercup pokes fun at her for by scaring her and Blossom to mess with them because she “likes to be a little instigator.” When Professor Utonium comes in to check up on them after overhearing Blossom and Bubbles scream in the dark from being scared by Buttercup’s instigating, Bubbles is crying in her fear of monsters in the dark, and says “I’m sorry, I wish I were braver.” However, their dad tells the three of them that being brave doesn’t mean never being afraid, but having the courage to do what you’re afraid to do.
In “Bubblevision,” Blossom and Buttercup hysterically laugh at Bubbles and tease her for looking like a “dork” after Professor Utonium gives her a very large pair of glasses to improve her eyesight when it’s revealed that she has poor vision, and it gets to her, so she stops wearing them for a bit, only to realize that she has to disregard her sisters teasing, and put her glasses back on to save them from a giant ant that’s got them in its grip.
In “Members Only,” all three of the girls doubt themselves to be great enough heroes for the Association of World Super Men (AWSM), but their supportive dad gives them a pep-talk by reminding them just how amazing of superheroes they have been, in spite of being “little girls.”
In the “City of Nutsville,” it’s basically the same plot for Bubbles all over again, though Blossom and Buttercup immediately resorting to laughing at her and teasing her for being forced to wear an E-collar around her face/neck after being stung in the throat by a bee after accidentally swallowing one was rather needlessly cruel.
So yeah, there were a few instances of Bubbles being insecure in the classic cartoon, but not to the point where she decided to completely abandon her PowerPuff superhero roots, knowingly become an outright supervillain, and fully join forces with Mojo Jojo. I could buy them getting a cold or a fever, if they were exposed to extreme temperatures or a virus long enough. That’s almost as ridiculous as the retcon that the girls could suddenly get horribly and painfully sunburned in the S6 classic episode “Sun Scream,” in spite of being able to survive going under molten lava, and come out completely unscathed in the 2002 prequel movie.
Since when did Bubbles have a low opinion on herself? Have they forgotten about Bubblevicious?
Yes. They have. And that’s hilarious considering they’ve been flanderizing the whole hardcore Bubbles thing.

Dustin Wolf, Goaltender (Calgary Wranglers): Winner of the Baz Bastien Award as the AHL’s top goaltender as a rookie in 2021-22, Dustin Wolf has followed up with another remarkable season, leading the AHL in wins (41), goals-against average (2.08), save percentage (.932), shutouts (7), minutes played (3,120), shots faced (1,594) and saves (1,486). Wolf, a 21-year-old native of Gilroy, Calif., also earned co-MVP honors at the 2023 AHL All-Star Challenge in Laval back in February, and picked up a victory in his NHL debut with the Calgary Flames on Apr. 12. He becomes the first AHL goaltender to garner back-to-back First Team All-Star nods since Bob Janecyk in 1981-82 and 1982-83, and the first ever to do so in his first two pro seasons. Darren Raddysh, Defenseman (Syracuse Crunch): Sixth-year pro Darren Raddysh has had a breakout season in 2022-23, shattering his previous career highs with 13 goals, 38 assists and 51 points in just 50 games played with Syracuse. Raddysh is tied for third in scoring among AHL defensemen despite spending most of the second half of the season in the NHL, where he has skated in 16 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Toronto native also represented the Crunch at the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic. Christian Wolanin, Defenseman (Abbotsford Canucks): Christian Wolanin leads all AHL defensemen with 49 assists and 55 points this season while skating in 49 games for Abbotsford in his first campaign in the Canucks organization. Wolanin, who has also played 16 games in the NHL with Vancouver this year, had a 13-game scoring streak from Nov. 10 to Dec. 9, and participated in the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic in Laval, his second career All-Star nod. Originally a fourth-round pick by Ottawa in the 2015 NHL Draft, Wolanin signed a two-year extension with Vancouver on Mar. 23. Alex Barré-Boulet, Forward (Syracuse Crunch): Alex Barré-Boulet earns his second career postseason All-Star berth with a First Team selection as he ranks second in the AHL in assists (59) and points (82) – both career highs – over 67 games with Syracuse. The fifth-year pro is also tied for third in plus/minus among AHL forwards with a plus-25 rating, and he became the Crunch franchise’s all-time leader in goals, assists and points over the course of this season. A native of Montmagny, Que., Barré-Boulet was previously a Second Team All-Star in 2019-20, and was named the league’s outstanding rookie in 2018-19. Michael Carcone, Forward (Tucson Roadrunners): The AHL’s leading scorer heading into the final weekend of the regular season, Michael Carcone has nearly doubled his previous career high with 84 points (31 goals, 53 assists) in 63 games for Tucson in 2022-23. Carcone also leads the league with 263 shots on goal, and ranks second with his 14 power-play tallies. The seventh-year pro from Ajax, Ont., recorded 30 points during a 15-game scoring streak from Dec. 17 to Jan. 31, the longest in the league this season. Matthew Phillips, Forward (Calgary Wranglers): A 2016 draft pick by his hometown Calgary Flames, Matthew Phillips has set career highs across the board for the second year in a row, recording 36 goals (tied for the AHL lead), 39 assists, 75 points and a plus-17 rating in 64 games for the Wranglers. The fifth-year pro has also tied an all-time AHL mark with 15 game-winning tallies, helping Calgary to a league-best 50 victories and the best record ever for a Flames AHL affiliate. The AHL Player of the Month for November also skated in his first AHL All-Star Classic. 2022-23 AHL Second All-Star Team

Joel Hofer, Goaltender (Springfield Thunderbirds): Joel Hofer earns a Second Team AHL All-Star nod on the strength of a 25-15-5 record, a 2.57 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage in 45 appearances for Springfield this season. Hofer is also tied for second in the league with four shutouts, and ranks third in minutes played (2,660) and shots faced (1,283) while helping the Thunderbirds to their second straight trip to the Calder Cup Playoffs. A 22-year-old native of Winnipeg, Man., Hofer has also played six games this season with the St. Louis Blues, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft. Lucas Carlsson, Defenseman (Charlotte Checkers): Lucas Carlsson ranks second among AHL defensemen in scoring with 52 points (19 goals, 33 assists) in 60 games heading into the final weekend of the regular season for Charlotte. Carlsson’s goal, assist and point totals all represent career highs for the native of Gavle, Sweden, who is in his fifth season of pro hockey in North America. The 25-year-old blueliner also owns a team-best plus-24 rating, and has chipped in three power-play goals and one shorthanded marker as well. Brogan Rafferty, Defenseman (Coachella Valley Firebirds): A Second Team All-Star as a rookie in 2019-20, Brogan Rafferty secures his second career selection this season as he sits tied for third among AHL defensemen in scoring with 51 points in 70 games for Coachella Valley. The fourth-year pro from West Dundee, Ill., is also tied for second among blueliners with 42 assists, and ranks third among all AHL skaters with a plus/minus rating of plus-31. The Quinnipiac University product joined the Seattle Kraken as a free agent on July 13, 2022. Trey Fix-Wolansky, Forward (Cleveland Monsters): Trey Fix-Wolansky has carried the Cleveland offense all season, pacing the team with 29 goals and 41 assists in 58 games played to tie the franchise single-season record with 70 points. The 23-year-old native of Edmonton, Alta., has scored 11 times and added 19 assists with the man advantage, figuring in on the scoring of nearly half of Cleveland’s 61 power-play goals this season. Fix-Wolansky, a seventh-round pick by Columbus in the 2018 NHL Draft, has also skated in nine NHL games with the Blue Jackets in 2022-23. Max McCormick, Forward (Coachella Valley Firebirds): A ninth-year pro from De Pere, Wis., Max McCormick had already set career scoring highs by the All-Star break, when he represented Coachella Valley at the AHL’s midseason showcase in Laval. He has continued his standout season through the second half and has amassed 28 goals and 39 assists for 67 points along with a plus-17 rating in 69 games for the Firebirds entering the final weekend of the regular season. [adult swim] JUST PULLED THIS OUT ON US LAST NIGHT
Honestly I couldn’t get myself over it. I almost couldn’t believe that this was real, even though it was cheaply made.
Just goes to show you that @adultswim actually has more respect for Cartoon Cartoons classics than Cartoon Network itself, although they apparently haven’t the PPGs forgotten.
The character design looks somewhat more like cheyennecurtisart’s 2016-2019 models, but they probably didn’t use the Powerpuff Yourself app... unless the girls behind Three Busy Debras did exactly that.
Of course, the intro was paying more homage visually to the 1998 The Powerpuff Girls intro. The opening portion of music and most sound effects used suggest that it was being mostly recreated (and cheaply so)... until they got the Universal/Hanna-Barbera shell explosions practically on cue... and then the real PPG theme (the one by James “DJ Avalanche” L. Venable, Thomas Chase and Steve Rucker) kicks in.
The titular show appeared just like the original show referenced. They even did the [as] logo in the original PPG font!
@crackmccraigen would be so proud of adult swim right now...

I’m not really sold on the idea that Bubbles is the only person in Townsville without sin, who should be able to resist HIM’s spell. I mean, yeah, she generally has the kindest, most forgiving, most optimistic, and the most trusting heart of the three girls. I like her character, too. However, that doesn’t mean the narrative of this comic should be acting like she’s completely without sin either.
Yeah, there are a few episodes from the classic series that I also completely disregard as canon too because I felt they were written in ways that were just way too OOC, mean-spirited, and/or ridiculous to justify, such as “Moral Decay,” “Slave The Day,” “Sun Scream,” “Toast of the Town,” “Say Uncle,” and “Reeking Havoc,” but I feel like it undermines Bubbles as a character to play it off as though she’s the only one in the city without sin. Does no one remember “Bubblevicious,” “Candy is Dandy,” or even “Helter Shelter?” She could be pretty fiercely and dangerously competitive with her sisters when her strength as fighter was getting undermined by her family in comparison to theirs in “Bubblevicious,” and she beat Mojo to a pulp with her sisters over candy in “Candy Is Dandy” when they got hooked on Candy after he stole it from the Mayor. Even in “Helter Shelter,” she deliberately disobeyed her dad when he told her not to bring anymore wild animals into the house, and she seemed to think she could get away with it by acting cute and being a little smart ass.
But all storytelling contradictions with Bubbles’ character aside in this comic, I do genuinely love this little scene in the PPG IDW comics issue #5 where Professor Utonium comforts Blossom and Buttercup after they feel bad about not being the “perfect little girls” anymore because they are victims of their own pride and/or wrath at times.

D’Aww...Professor Utonium is such a good dad. He loves his three little girls so much. They’re perfect to him, even if they are flawed!
