Arlington players win Outstanding Musical.

The Arlington players won six awards during Sunday night's 2023 Washington Area Theatre Community Honors Awards ceremony. The players from Arlington brought home six awards at the Birchmere in Alexandria. The awards were for the Newsies, which was named an outstanding musical. It was in January when the nominations for the 2023 WATCH Awards were announced, and the players received 14 nominations. The Reston Community Players was the big winner racking up, combined with 13 total awards for the productions of "A Little Night Music," "Bright Star," and "Game's A Foot." The six awards that Arlington players received are Outstanding Makeup Design in a Play, Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Direction of a Musical, Leta Hall Outstanding Ensemble in a Musical, Outstanding Music Direction, and Outstanding Musical. Private school owners sell Palm Beach mansion for $10.4M (Photos)

Alfred "Chip" D. Malley and Janis V. Malley, who own the Little Red School House group of preschools, sold their Palm Beach mansion for $10.43 million. The 8,953-square-foot home at 110 Clarendon Ave. was sold to New York-based North Fifth LLC. The buyer is a Delaware-registered company, so it’s not clear who manages it.
