i did a lot of different dance as a kid, but mostly tap and ballet! in high school i did tae kwon do and Okinawan weapon class. otherwise, i am not very athletic (and i have osteoarthritis now, so i can't do many things that involve having good, working knees lol. i actually was diagnosed when i was a lot younger and had to quit tae kwon do because it was becoming difficult/painful.)

my As were in an english class that focused on writing essays (got 100% on all 3 major essays!), an annoying, tedious computer competency class, and psychology.

this semester i am going to be a better student and try not to hit fic deadlines as hard. i love y'all very much (and i love the validation a whole lot) but my sanity needs to come first. (i'm also taking 16 credits in the spring lmao ope!)

(it was also really fucking depressing lmaoooo but what can you do!) my boyfriend, our friend and i went to vegas over new years and it was fun (we have friends who live out there, who we visit and stay with) but it was so overwhelming and i was not in the mood. i hadn't been back to vegas since before pandemic and i am still not yet able to enjoy/tolerate crowds the way i used to.

my darling child, i have missed you!!! 🥰 yes, i had some friends over last night. well mostly my boyfriends friends, but it was fun! i cooked:

- turkey which i brined in lots of herbs and spices (rosemary, thyme and sage being key players,) and rubbed down with garlic and butter, and basted a lot!

- mashed potatoes with carrots and parsnips, lots of herbs (the above listed plus parsley and chives,) garlic, cheese, butter

- green beans with garlic and gochujang paste

- stuffing made from a box lmao that i added celery, onions, turkey drippings and all the above herbs to

- gravy made with turkey drippings, butter and roasted garlic

- apple pie with homemade crust

i don’t really measure so it’s hard to share recipes but advice with flavor is to add more than you think a dish needs. no bland food leaves my kitchen!

everything was delicious! i had a little too much to drink and i still have some larger dishes to clean but all in all it was a success!

yes, i do read and occasionally write poetry. i actually have 2 poetry-related tattoos. you’re not the first to say i write (casually) in a way that suggests i write poetry lolol. 🥰💜

i am currently still working on the jikook serial killers fic! i have reached 10.4k words with maybe one more scene to write. and then i will be working on whatever other wip seems most pressing to finish this week i have like 4 to choose from, honestly.

because you asked nicely and i love sharing snippets, i will post something for you! the contents and even the warnings are dark, so i'll put them under the cut!

warnings/context: jk is a serial killer and he has captured jm with the intention of killing him too. they have already hooked up, as per the last snippet i posted, and jm is making an interesting confession, seeing as he thinks he's likely going to die, anyway.

"I admire what you do, you know."

A scoff rocks through Jeongguk and causes the flame to dance. "What?"

"Why do you think I'm obsessed with true crime?" Jimin's voice shakes and he finds it difficult to stare into Jeongguk's eyes as they speak, but he does his best. "If you really are the serial killer who has been leaving behind all those heads, then you must know that I live and breathe what you do. It goes beyond just a fascination that I voice in my show. It's respect, Jeongguk."

Jeongguk's eyes flicker with something soft and knowing before turning cold, and Jimin sucks in a shaky breath under his gaze.  

"You must really think I'm fucking stupid," Jeongguk bites, voice deep and laced with anger.

This was the possibility that Jimin feared, but also the one he expected when he decided to open up. Of course, it won't be easy for him to convince Jeongguk he means it. Not when he has a friend in the police department. 

"How do I prove it to you?"

Jeongguk flicks the lighter closed and the sudden darkness makes Jimin gasp and jump back, despite having nowhere to go.

"Easy, little lamb," Jeongguk teases, leaning in close enough to brush his nose against Jimin's. "It was getting too hot to continue holding."

Jimin trembles as he angles his face toward Jeongguk and brushes their lips together. His shoulders are sore from his arms being tied back, and his legs ache under Jeongguk's weight, but all he wants is to kiss the man who causes him so much distress. He wants to taste the mint on Jeongguk's tongue and swallow his soft, hungry whimpers whole. 

After a moment of hesitation, Jeongguk reciprocates. It's light at first—a soft brush of lips. But then Jeongguk licks at Jimin's mouth and hungrily sucks his bottom lip before prising his lips apart and rolling his tongue over Jimin's. His kiss is needy and sloppy, and Jimin loves the way it feels��loves how completely helpless he is in Jeongguk's hold. Even if the man is holding a knife.

yes, honestly, that is the dream. i might have a story in mind that i want to write, which i will probably do as a fanfic first, then adapt into a novel later. hopefully i will begin that project next year!

⌛ How long does it take you to write a fic, or a chapter?

it takes me anywhere from a day to a week lol. it depends on what i am writing, how excited i am to be writing, and how much homework i have.

💥 How do you feel about criticism?

there is...no easy answer for this. i am definitely open to constructive criticism, and i try not to take it too personally, but if people are just complaining for the sake of complaining, i can get bitchy. i do this for free, i'm not asking for criticism, and there's no need to complain about something you could simply not read.

but it depends on the person, the criticism, etc. i seek out constructive opinions from writer and reader friends all the time, as it is, and i am always very happy for their feedback.

i would definitely never give criticism unless asked, and i hope that others do the same.

Namjoon hates how the phrasing makes his heart sink—hates how he already feels a connection despite knowing absolutely nothing about this guy. Sure, his profile states weight, height, and body type, but someone could put anything into those fields; there is no guarantee of authenticity. 

Namjoon nearly gives up and goes to bed, abandoning the conversation entirely. But then he decides to give honesty a chance. Worst case scenario, he remains as lonely as he already is. 

BonsaiDaddy94 I'm not really sure why I am on here, tbh. My friends complain about how "terminally single" I am, (their words,) so three beers and a lot of peer pressure later, here I am. I guess part of me is foolish enough to want a relationship; I've never really done hookups. But I'm open to possibilities.

Namjoon types and deletes baby boy several times before deciding to keep it. If, in fact, there is a chance that JayKay97 will want to get to know him after this pathetic revelation, he figures being flirtatious will work in his favor. And as the three little dots pop back up, his anxiety swirls, once again.

JayKay97 I'm here to find a cutie to fuck. Plain and simple. But I guess I am not opposed to the idea of a relationship. Nobody on here really tries to get to know you like that, in my experience. In fact, this is probably the most I have talked to someone without them asking if I am willing to host.

At this, Namjoon feels a wave of disappointment. Of course, there is no reason to; he came to a hookup app and is now being told that the users are just here to look for hookups. So why does he feel let down?

With a sigh, Namjoon drops his arm to the bed and stares at his ceiling. Since he has already jumped over the hurdle of downloading an app for meeting others, he reasons he will have no qualms with also downloading a proper dating app. 

Tomorrow, he tells himself. He has already been through enough tonight.
