So again, I’ve realized I don’t own any retellings of Peter Pan for Day 8 of #onceuponaretelling I promise I’ve got books for other days!!! I just don’t have any for a couple of them 🤷🏻‍♀️ BUT I’ve got a list and would love recommendations from you too! Always happy to expand my never ending library 📚 . Peter Pan is a favorite mostly because I was OBSESSED with anything Tinkerbell for years as a kid. I just loved her and her sass ❤️ I also love how Peter Pan reminds us to remember our inner child and never give up on those things that make us happy, the things we used to believe in. I’ve seen the Disney movie, a few live action ones, and a number of musicals that revolve around our dear Peter. And I cried like a baby with each and every story! It’s not that kids should never grow up, it’s that adults forget what it is to be a child. To believe in anything and everything until proven wrong, but sometimes even then refusing to let go of something so meaningful to you. I still choose to believe in all those stories about fairy tale magic that Disney and Pixar and Dreamworks (etc) and all the other movies, tv shows, and books tell us.
