Some Clannibal headcanons.

-Hannibal loves his coffee with milk and two tea spoons of sugar.

-Clarice likes black coffee, no milk, no sugar.

-When they went to South Korea on holidays, Clarice wanted to eat the ultra spicy fire noodles, she could take it and love it, Hannibal on the other side, cannot handle spicy food.

-They both play Just Dance, but Hannibal gets perfect score because he moves just right to get the perfect combination of moves, not really dancing, thing that Clarice hates because she does in fact tries to dance the coreographies. But you see Hannibal calculating how he has to barely move the arms and legs to trick the console.

-They fuck in museums at the blind spots where cameras don´t reach, is a mystical and erotic experience that they love to have.

-Clarice is into calisthenics and Hannibal loves watching her while she exercises.

-Hannibal plays the piano or the violin every single night for Clarice.

-Clarice has jumped into the bandwagon of smut literature and fantasy, thing that fascinates Hannibal who never has read such thing. So he often buys whole packs of sagas for Clarice.

He studies this behaviour and often tries to replicate or try different things in bed with Clarice to feed her fantasies.

Time to embarrass myself on main and say: I've not read that many clannibal fanfics, especially with that limitation you gave me :( (Preposterous, ik)

I mostly read from Ao3 so, something tells me you've already checked out most of the stories in there. I also don't use FF because it is totally cumbersome for me, so no luck with the older fanfics I'm afraid :(

the best I can offer is my favourite clannibal stories:

La Bella Vita by rahleeyah (incomplete unfortunately). The most realistic post Hannibal fanfic I've read so far, with an excellent writing style. Clarice gets pregnant, only for Hannibal to start falling into a mental mess of wanting to create the new mischa out of his unborn child, as well as going into a killing spree in order to "protect" his unborn child. But the Argentinian police aren't totally useless...

Satin and Pearls by filthybonnet. One shot with some delicious post hannibal smut :} (Someone please don't let Hannibal near a pearl necklace ever again!!)

Some of our stars... by Clarissa01. (This one isn't in English, so I suggest you use "DeepL" for translating it! much better than google translate in my opinion). LIONS BLEED HONEY (FF)

Surprise, surprise! I've been thinking about writing a sequel for my Clannibal story "Can't stop thinking about you" for a while now and just today I finally got to finish it. What you can expect: tragedies, moments to tear your hair out, to grin and to languish. (At least I hope so; kudos & feedback on my drafts is always appreciated! :))

“Try to rest, Clarice. It’s midnight. Get some asleep”, he pleaded her, caressing her cheeks gently with his palms and wrapping her in his coat as if she was some sort of holy being. As they chased through the darkness together, space and time increasingly blurred into a viscous substance. Although Hannibal was supposed to be devoting his undivided attention to the road, Starling felt that he kept glaring over at her repeatedly. At some point, tiredness caught up with her and she probably owned it to none less than Hannibal that she was finally able to fall asleep. For the first time in ages, the lambs didn't dare to haunt her with their agonising screams. He was the wolf that chased the sheep away. As soon as he bared his teeth, they retreated into the barn.

When Hannibal and Starling entered their hotel room shortly before dawn the next day, he carefully lowered her to the floor. Her legs were still wobbly as hell, but with the help of his strong arm around her waist, she managed to keep her balance.

“I’m all right”, she insisted when he gave her a concerned sideways-glance.

“You think you have to pretend to be strong in front of me, don’t you? Life has taught you the hard way that you have to swallow your pain not to let the past catch up with you. But you don't have to, dear. You can be weak with me. I would never use a sign of weakness against you but help you process it, Clarice. You and I, together we can be so much. We can be unstoppable.” With that, he led her to the bathroom. Evidently, he hadn't missed the opportunity to choose a motel with lavish facilities. In addition to a shower with milky, opaque glass, the room was equipped with a bathtub and two washbasins as well as a toilet and mirrors. Overall, the whole suit exuded an unmistakable retro 70s flair which was certainly very much to his taste. He brought his lips close to the sensitive spot behind her ear, tracing her shoulders with his palms from behind.  

“Take a bath. Wash away all the memories. It’s about time for a turn.”

Question for everyone,

I want to write a Clannibal smut, but I’m debating on whether I want to make Hannibal or Clarice be the dominant one, so just like, preferences/opinions I guess?

I’m willing to write either, but I just kinda feel we don’t get enough dominant Clarice in fanfics and was wondering if other people felt the same.

Some Jane Eyre inspired Clannibal AUs:

Hannibal’s primary house is in England (inherited from his Uncle after he died with no heirs) and has a ward, Abigail. He instructs the housekeeper to bring a governess over from America to instruct her because he intends to send her there when she comes of age (since her low birth and her father being executed for killing his wife would not be of as much consequence there). Returning home to find Clarice in his employ they strike up a friendship like in the novel. (what his dark secret is can be up to you.)

Hannibal is a count in Lithuania who hires Clarice to teach him English and teach him American manners as he intends to move there and get out of the country on the brink of turmoil. 

Either of these but Hannibal is younger, just completing his training as a doctor and needing help educating Mischa as he plans to take her along to his post at a research hospital in Baltimore.

Smut-heavy edition: Any of these, but to ease Clarice’s mind as she’s seeing “ghosts” and hearing noises and such, he diagnoses her with Hysteria and starts treating her for it every night before bed.

It really depends tbh. I don’t like writing anything shippy / romantic / sexual involving minors with adults but that’s... about it generically. Everything else is case by case, mainly because I don’t have many triggers and I like exploring how different dynamics work in writing.

Are you selective when shipping?

I would say... maybe a little? 

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

We don’t write the smuts here so. If the undies are off, we are fading to black.

Clannibal Fics are so wonderful in a way I’ve never seen from any other fandom before and I’m just absolutely obsessed with smuts with them because they’re so much more raw and intense than anything else I’ve ever read.
