The forest around them fell silent, absorbing the sounds of their voices, as if the sky and earth were holding their breath, listening to what was about to happen. Claire stood before Jamie, feeling the cold seep into her fingers, but he, as always, was the first to embrace her hands with his, wrapping her in his warm palms as if to block the fear and despair that had taken hold of her heart. He looked at her as though he was trying to memorize every line, every feature of her face, to carry her image with him into eternity.
"Ye must go, Sassenach," he said softly, his voice holding such strength that the mountains themselves might tremble. "Feumaidh tu falbh, a’ bhana-choigreach. You must return to yer own time. Here, there's naught left for ye but darkness and war."
Claire looked at him, struggling with despair, with the force that seemed to draw her back to the stones. She did not want to leave him; she could not bear the thought of abandoning him to face a battle that would erase his presence from this world.
"I can't leave you, Jamie," she whispered, her voice shaking. "You are my life, my love, my light. I want to stay with you, even if it means the end."
He touched her cheek, running his warm hand over her face as if trying to wipe away her tears and at the same time remember the feel of her skin. Sadness flashed in his eyes, deep as the very ocean that would separate them. But Jamie would not allow himself to show weakness, understanding that his strength was her only anchor now.
"Ye must live for both of us, Claire," he said, his voice quiet but as firm as granite. "Fiù ged a tha sin a’ ciallachadh gum feum thu falbh. I need to ken that ye’ll be safe, that ye’ll live, breathe, despite all that lies ahead for me here. Air ar son fhèin, airson ar pàiste."
Her soul resisted. She tried to hold back, but tears rolled down her cheeks anyway. Claire reached for him as if lost in a desert, yearning for the last drop of water. But he continued to warm her hands, his fingers like an anchor, holding her in the moment, keeping her steady.
"I'll wait for you," she whispered, almost soundlessly, like a prayer sent to him and to fate. "In every moment, in every life. We will meet again. Come back to me, soldier."
Jamie released her hands but then embraced her shoulders one last time, pulling her close, as though his embrace could tear through the very fabric of time and space, saving them both from the inevitable. Then, slowly, carefully, he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers in a final kiss, full of despair, love, and forgiveness that would not die, even in the face of death.
"I will find ye, Sassenach," he said, letting her go, his voice steady and strong as the mountains surrounding them. "Ann an saoghal sam bith, ann an àm sam bith. Bidh mi gad shireadh gus an ruig mi ort a-rithist. Gus am faigh sinn a chèile."

July 8th 1911 saw the birth of Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, the Chief of Clan Fraser, Scottish aristocrat and soldier.
Lovat was involved in the formation of the Commandos, the Dieppe Raid and D-Day. As 24th Chieftain of Clan Fraser, Shimi – MacShimidh to give him his Gaelic title – was born into leadership. It was in his genes (David Stirling, his cousin, co-founded the SAS). Shimi Lovat’s military background ran back through generations of Frasers, including Simon Fraser, known as the Patriot, hung drawn and quartered at Tower Hill at Edward I’s orders, and Simon Lovat, The Old Fox, was beheaded after the 1745 rebellion, his character featured in the Outlander series
Shimi’s leadership qualities were tested to the limit on D-Day. The mission of 1st Commando Brigade – or 1st Special Service Brigade, as it was known in June 1944 – was to break through German defences on the eastern side of Sword Beach. At lightning speed, they were to fight their way four miles inland to Pegasus Bridge over the Caen Canal, and bring reinforcements to the 6th Airborne Division, relieving the glider-borne troops who had taken the bridge at dead of night.
Shimi and his commandos arrived just after the appointed hour of midday, to the swirl of pipes. He famously apologised for being two minutes late. The bridges were crucial; at the push of a detonator, the Germans could have destroyed them. With the Allied supply lines cut, the invasion could have foundered.
Plunging into further battles, Shimi was nearly killed four days later by Allied shrapnel and was given the last rites by Father René de Naurois. His last words as he handed over his brigade were: “Take over the Brigade and not a step back; not a step back!”

“I prayed all the way up that hill yesterday. Not for you to stay; I didna think that would be right. I prayed I'd be strong enough to send ye away. I said, 'Lord, if I've ever had courage in my life before, let me have it now. Let me be brave enough not to fall on my knees and beg her to stay.'”

Sam Heughan in Outlander (2014) The Gathering
S1E4
The Gathering shows Claire's attempt at her first real planned escape. The run-ins she has with various characters on the way include a major run-in with Dougal, and yet another moment with Jamie alone - building their relationship. Also an oath-taking ceremony could have awful results if not handled carefully...
*Diana Gabaldon: The author of the Outlander series has an appearance as Iona MacTavish, a wealthy merchant's wife who exchanges words with Mrs. Fitz on the balcony in the hall.

Yes, Kira and her mother Brea are true heroines of Dark Crystal and because their clan Vapra Is the leader of the Clans of Gelfling and because they hold the piece of Crystal to help Jen and his parents Rian and Deet to banish the Darkening and to reunite the corpse of Mystics and SkekSis to made them return as Urskeks and because Brea speak with SkekOk at the beginning of TV Show, then SkekZok was present that The General SkekSis killed All-Maudra Mayrin but he wasn't present when Tavra tried to kill the general to avenge the death of her mother and then SkekSil, the real villain, came to killed her and before SkekEkt bullies Seladon stealing her dark crown and After SkekAyuk and the General reveals at Seladon that they are draining Gelfling and Is that because SkekSil, SkekEkt and SkekAyuk recognize Kira like the Daughter of Brea, the niece of Tavra and Seladon and the granddaughter of All-Maudra Mayrin and so SkekZok too almost killed Kira Remember that the General killed her grandmother All-Maudra. So Lisa Maxwell was blonde and She was playing a TV Series about a school in the role of a student when She was 13. Anya Taylor-Joy Is blonde too and She was great thanks to The Witch, Split, Playmobil and Super Mario Bros. Helena Bohan Carter was too great because She Is a true Queen Fairy thanks to Cinderella Which One with Cate Blanchett and the wonderful performance about Tudor and Windsor family. Gugu Mbatha-Raw too was super great thanks to Beauty and the Beast Which One with Emma Watson and Belle a movie with Tom Felton(yup and because Helena Bohan Carter, Jason Isaac, Emma Watson and Tom Felton were played in Harry Potter). Caitriona Balfe too was great thanks to Outlander and because Stephen Garlick played Bert the orphan from Macbeth a miniseries from 1970 and that Is look alike that Little Jen went to Scotland that Kira told him about It and even Jamie Fraser that he was the Old friend of her aunt Tavra. When Macbeth and his wife tried to adopt him, Jen use the Power of Sanctuary to kill them to avenge the death of his parents Rian and Deet and so he was actually taken from his mother Deet that She Is proud for him Remember that She and Rian banish the Darkening killing SkekSo the Emperor of the SkekSis. That's was true connection. Anya Taylor-Joy, Helena Bohan Carter, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Caitriona Balfe are true Queen of United Kingdom, the true fairies family.

“Before I tell ye, Claire, there’s the one thing I’d ask of you,” he said slowly. “What’s that?” “Honesty.” I must have flinched uncomfortably, for he leaned forward earnestly, hands on his knees. “I know there are things ye’d not wish to tell me, Claire. Perhaps things that ye can’t tell me.” You don’t know just how right you are, I thought. “I’ll not press you, ever, or insist on knowin’ things that are your own concern,” he said seriously. He looked down at his hands, now pressed together, palm to palm. “There are things that I canna tell you, at least not yet. And I’ll ask nothing of ye that ye canna give me. But what I would ask of ye—when you do tell me something, let it be the truth. And I’ll promise ye the same. We have nothing now between us, save—respect, perhaps. And I think that respect has maybe room for secrets, but not for lies. Do ye agree?” He spread his hands out, palms up, inviting me. I could see the dark line of the blood vow across his wrist. I placed my own hands lightly on his palms. “Yes, I agree. I’ll give you honesty.” His fingers closed lightly about mine. “And I shall give ye the same. Now,” he drew a deep breath, “you asked why I wed ye.” “I am just the slightest bit curious,” I said. He smiled, the wide mouth taking up the humor that lurked in his eyes. “Well, I canna say I blame ye. I had several reasons. And in fact, there’s one—maybe two—that I canna tell ye yet, though I will in time. The main reason, though, is the same reason you wed me, I imagine; to keep ye safe from the hands of Jack Randall.” I shuddered a bit, at the memory of the Captain, and Jamie’s hands tightened on mine.
“You are safe,” he said firmly. “You have my name and my family, my clan, and if necessary, the protection of my body as well. The man willna lay hands on ye again, while I live.”
“Thank you,” I said. Looking at that strong, young, determined face, with its broad cheekbones and solid jaw, I felt for the first time that this preposterous scheme of Dougal’s might actually have been a reasonable suggestion. The protection of my body. The phrase struck with particular impact, looking at him—the resolute set of the wide shoulders and the memory of his graceful ferocity, “showing off” at swordplay in the moonlight. He meant it; and young as he was, he knew what he meant, and bore the scars to prove it. He was no older than many of the pilots and the infantrymen I had nursed, and he knew as well as they the price of commitment. It was no romantic pledge he had made me, but the blunt promise to guard my safety at the cost of his own. I hoped only that I could offer him something in return. “That’s most gallant of you,” I said, with absolute sincerity. “But was it worth, well, worth marriage?
It was,” he said, nodding. He smiled again, a little grimly this time. “I’ve good reason to know the man, ye ken. I wouldna see a dog given into his keeping if I could prevent it, let alone a helpless woman.” “How flattering,” I remarked wryly, and he laughed. He stood up and went to the table near the window. Someone—perhaps the landlady—had supplied a bouquet of wildflowers, set in water in a whisky tumbler. Behind this stood two wineglasses and a bottle. Jamie poured out two glasses and came back, handing me one as he resumed his seat. “Not quite so good as Colum’s private stock,” he said with a smile, “but none so bad, either.” He raised his glass briefly.
“To Mrs. Fraser,” he said softly, and I felt a thump of panic again. I quelled it firmly and raised my own glass.
“To honesty,” I said, and we both drank. “Well, that’s one reason,” I said, lowering my glass. “Are there others you can tell me?” He studied his wineglass with some care. “Perhaps it’s just that I want to bed you.” He looked up abruptly. “Did ye think of that?” If he meant to disconcert me, he was succeeding nicely, but I resolved not to show it. “Well, do you?” I asked boldly. “If I’m bein’ honest, yes, I do.” The blue eyes were steady over the rim of the glass. “You wouldn’t necessarily have had to marry me for that,” I objected. He appeared honestly scandalized. “You do not think I would take ye without offering you marriage!” “Many men would,” I said, amused at his innocence. He sputtered a bit, at a momentary loss. Then regaining his composure, said with formal dignity, “Perhaps I am pretentious in saying so, but I would like to think that I am not ‘many men,’ and that I dinna necessarily place my behavior at the lowest common denominator.” Rather touched by this speech, I assured him that I had so far found his behavior both gallant and gentlemanly, and apologized for any doubt I might inadvertently have cast on his motives. On this precariously diplomatic note, we paused while he refilled our empty glasses.

The British 2nd Army, Commandos of the 1st Special Service Brigade, landed from an LCI(S) (Landing Craft Infantry Small) on ‘Queen Red’ Beach, the Sword Area, approximately 8.40 am on 6 June 1944. The brigade commander, Brigadier Lord Lovat DSO MC, can be seen striding through the water to the right of the column of men. The figure nearest the camera is the brigade’s bagpiper, Piper Bill Millin. Lord Lovat exercised his right as Chief of Clan Fraser to have a personal piper accompany him in the vanguard of the D-Day landings on Sword Beach
