I think one of the most fucked up things about Code Lyoko to me is after everything, no one would believe them for what they went through- like, they have so much trauma, but they literally couldn’t go to therapy for it because it wasn’t “real” because of the return to the pasts. They can’t prove the injuries they’ve sustained, and everything they’ve been through; they have no scars, literally just the memory of what happened, or what could’ve happened. The only people they really have is each other, because no one else could *ever* understand what they went through. All they have are each other and the memories of everything that’s happened, and my *God* that’s gotta fuck them up a good deal- 

I love talking about how messed up it is they almost die so many times but the return to the pasts save them, but really all it saves them from is dying and having lasting physical wounds, the psychological damage is already done though, there’s no undoing that. Like. Man. The kids are Not alright

Since the final chapter of The Tale of Human AI will probably take me 2-3 months to write (considering how many plot threads I need to cover), I decided to start by creating the necessary designs for the Virtual World.

And right away, I want to introduce you to a completely new concept related to Jeremie unlocking the full extent of his powers: Ryasu monsters and Summons.

Each Lyoko Warrior will receive one personal monster that they can summon in battle once per virtualization (only once, as it drains a lot of Jeremie's energy to summon them, especially in the Replikas). Of course, summoning cannot be free (because that would make them too overpowered), so in order to summon them, the LW must sacrifice something:

Yumi: Receives Kran (crane) – loses Telekinesis.

William: Receives Hai (shark) – loses Supersmoke (can fight in the Digital Sea).

Ulrich: Receives Tiger (tiger) – loses Triplicate.

Aelita: Receives Hirsh (deer) – loses Creativity.

Odd: Receives Kolibri (hummingbird) – loses a chosen number of arrows (a small army with a "King" and its "Servants," up to the number of sacrificed arrows. They all go down in one hit, and if the "King" is destroyed, all the "Servants" are as well).

Additionally, the next two are the new forms of Jeremie and XANA. Jeremie is no longer virtualized via the Scanner, meaning he no longer has his "human" avatar. Instead, he has stabilized his mist form. XANA, on the other hand, creates a new body for himself (since no one is XANAfied here, he will come to fight personally and be a much bigger threat than XANA!William ever was). Also, if Jeremie and XANA's forms are destroyed, they will die. So to make sure this doesn’t happen, Jeremie is basically banned from going to the Replikas at all (though he often helps escort the Skid there) and only appears when the Lyoko Warriors are royally screwed. However, he often lends his Spear to the LW currently fighting XANA, as it is the most powerful weapon against the AI (since it is powered by Jeremie's energy, now connected to both Ryasu and Lyoko).

The very last one is the combined form of XANA and ANAX (from the past), which, for now at least, is called ARE (yes, their name inspired by IHNMAIMS).
