RULES

Rules are elementary in the Afterlife to ensure all souls and spirits remain in the states that Fate had allowed them to be in. When rules are broken, punishments and reprimands are declared by the High Court. When Angels break rules, punishments are more severe but short term since Angels are expected to uphold high standards but also deserve to enjoy their afterlife. If an Angel is Cconsumed by sin, usually at the hands of a Devil, the Angel can be corrupted into a Devil corruption is a gruesome process where the Angels’ wings are severed off and their halo is forcefully removed from their head. They can never regrow their wings. Often their memory is also erased depending on the severity of the corruptions.

If an action is too severe the being may be forced to fade. since this is the Afterlife and all beings are immortal or already dead, beings instead will fade away. Angels fade into clouds; Devils face into smoke and ash. This does not occur often.

Rules here are as follows.

Angels and Devils may interact but at great risk. Any relationship of any kind, excluding familial but including love and fatred, is formed between Angels and Devils, both parties will be punished by having to fade.

Angels and Devils are forbidden to enter their respective areas unless granted permission

Duelling is forbidden. it often happens as it is a minor rule that is applicable to mainly Devils. Angels and Devils may duel as this is usually to prevent the Devil from causing harm, but this still must be reviewed by at least one other Judge.

If a Devil’s curse is broken, the curse must be altered slightly . All Devils must suffer after all.

Free spirits of preciously free spirits are able to wander as they please even after they are declared Angel or Devil, however, it is recommended they stay in their specific area to prevent harm to themselves ot curiousity of what happens in their opposing world.

Both Angels and Devils are free to enter the mortal world but they are not to bring attention to themselves. They are not to interact with mortals unless permitted.

Angels and Devils may also observe mortal activity in some areas of the afterlife. In these areas Angels and Devils are allowed to be together.

Judges come to all final decisions.

Fate should not be twisted.

Once you become an Angel or a Devil you stay as such.

These rules date back to eras before the current inhabitants of the Afterlife came to be.

your ideal/headcanon version of it? how does it differ from how it is in canon & why is this your favorite version? any other alternate versions of it you enjoy? they are perfect, so it's au time 😎 i have this au in mind where itaru meets citron when they were younger (since citron ran away from the castle for a while since he's a bored kid) and they never realize it until like ssr family

what do you like about their relationship, why is it interesting or enjoyable to you? i said it before but they are so fantastic around each other!!! they can be silly when they mess with the others as a pair or when they do silly stuff together. they can be cunning when they pull of a complex prank/plan by acting the way they need to. they can be dramatic, especially during that scene in act 8!! and they can be touching too like in ssr family. they are so interesting together since they're in tune with each other but still different <3

what about the individual characters involved? what does this relationship mean to them, what makes it unique among their relationships? i think itaru's a person citron has a comfortable distance with! like they're def close, but they don't ask much about other (but they're still aware that something's going on with the other) is something i personally find comforting with adult relationships :) like!!! they still have a distance, but they're willing to help each other without knowing what that something truly is!!

and for itaru, i think it's nice to have someone with a similar experience growing up around him! same with the adult relationships thingy!! plus i think it's super nice that he has someone to share his interests with who's interested and will listen to his ramblings. they were both kinda isolated growing up, and they're growing out of that together <3

favorite interaction they have in canon Everything. every citoita interaction is like a gold bar to me. special shoutout to ssr family, sakuya's mankai memory backstage part 2, and the itaru blog where this citron pic came from

favorite interaction they have in your head/a situation you want to put them in they get married (and someone points out that itaru could be technically a prince too)!! i just love them so much!!
