I was just thinking "why do all the cis men I meet act like they have depression" and then I realized that's the lack of anxiety that I'm sensing. Don't get me wrong- they DO have depression. We kind of all do. It's just I'm not used to seeing depression without anxiety and it's kind of jarring

#my anxiety symptoms mask a lot of my depression symptoms #also please dont try to argue on this post. im not even saying anything with it- this is just an observation/hypothesis #cis men seem to be significantly more self assured than every other gender #ive come to view anxiety as primarily being self doubt at its core (the opposite of self assurance)#so thats where this is coming from #but its intresting (not in the good way) because i actually think most men are insecure simultaneously #about one thing or another
