I will say that I don’t really have many sexuality headcanons other than “this whole school in so queer coded”, mostly because I can’t even be bothered to put a label on myself lol. That being said hears the few I do have.

Raven: demigirl (as stated in the user name), bi, aspec. I actually made this post a while back her gender and Maddie if you're interested.

Maddie: I like to think that in wonderland they don't really put much of a label on gender or sexuality it just kinda is what it is. I've always thought of them as nonbinary though. (any pronouns)

Darling is the ultimate sword lesbian, Apple I also think is a lesbian.

What else ummm... I also really like trans man Alister. Giles Grim has extreme gay uncle energy. I think Briar is bi, I think Faybel would call herself queer. Oh! aspec Dexter and Circe. I also kind of like the aromantic Sparrow head canon but I also like the idia of him and Duchess as gay man and lesbian friendship.

For Merope its dogs and bats. When I write for her I often use dog imagery, there's something that I like about the connection. It could also be because dogs are sacred animals for Hecate, greek goddess of magic.

For Marya I always associate river snakes for her. Its one of her nicknames. All the daughter's of Oberon are called "the sand snakes" but with Marya having a water theme I thought river snakes would be more appropriate for her to go by "River Snakes".

For Mary I associate black cats with her. While often seen as bad luck, the celts associated black cats with fairies, supernatural powers, and wishes. Which fits Mary to a tee. I am half thinking about making it so that she can transform into a cat like Jareth can transform into an owl.

For Mallory I associate mice with her. Something small that can get in and out of places both old and new.

Like with Merope, for Mayu I associate dogs with her. She half dog demon so its easier to see the link there.

For Megette, as predictable as it sounds, Dragons. Her dragon, Grey Ghost is such a big staple of who she is, it's what leads her to position that she's in, the people she loves.

(You might ask why Megette is getting two pictures and everyone else is only getting one. The one on the right is Megette Seastar, the daughter of Mysaria and Daemon, and the one of the left is Megette Royce, the daughter of Rhea Royce and Daemon.)

As I had said before I associate lions for Madison. I was re-reading Circe by Madeline and was making a " PJO Daughter of Circe" moodboard when I was creating her so I think that's where that came from.

For Melosa I haven't put much thought into this but if I had to say, maybe some sort of small fish.

For Meave I associate her with birds, specifically sparrows. They have such a lovely song when they sing and symbolise the little blessings in life. I can see her being that in Touya's life.

|| It’s so long but under the cut! Important lore!!! ||

~ He sits outside, on the decoration-bench, looking out at his garden. He wished he could keep his guests in permanent safety, permanent happiness. But he can’t. He can only try. Autumn is coming, he knows, and soon winter. But his garden will continue to prosper as if it were spring, even when it’s snowing. Thank the enchantments for that. ~

~ He looks over to those flowers, those flowers that consume so much of his thought. Had his books truly been right? Were those grown from the spilled blood of gods and titans? How fascinating. Circe use that to turn Scylla into a monster, what use would he use for it? No transformations, that was not his strong suit. And that begs the question, what was his strong suit? Silly little charms, of course. But he had a knacking feeling he could to better. ~

~ He looks to the fig tree, still holding his favorite fruit after all this time. His favorite part about his garden. Iris has flocked over to the bench to sit with him. Just as he began to eat his mug cake, BANG. ~

~ He almost dropped the mug in shock, letting out a little yelp. And right before him.. a destroyed fig tree. It looks like it had been destroyed by a lightning bolt, despite there not being a single cloud in the sky. He looks on in horror, and Iris flies out in dismay, pecking at the charred trunk with an entourage of sparrows beside it. He runs up to it, checking for any fires. Nothing. He could almost cry, his fig tree destroyed. It would take years for a new one to grow, and his spells aren’t strong enough the fix this. ~

~ ..Not right now they aren’t. He kept telling himself he wanted to experiment with stronger spells, but never did. Well now the opportunity is before him. Filled with a bit of anger, and a bit of hope, he goes to the kitchen and begins mixing. Coaxing the petals off of roses, boiling rosemary and honey on a pan, grinding up some left over fig he had prior. In the end, he was left with a tub of a thick paste. He hasn’t even used a recipe for this, he simply felt his way through the ingredients. Would this even work? ~

~ He returns to the tree, and begins rubbing the paste over the trunk, almost the entire thing. At first, there’s nothing. But then the dead bark comes to life once again, and the tree regrows to it’s former glory. In a few minutes, ripe figs are already blossoming off the branches. He stares at his work in awe. Not for too long though, as a loud storm begins to roll in over head, almost immediately. As if healing the tree has offended the skies. ~

~ No, he didn’t care for the skies. He would not let his fig tree burn down. And he wouldn’t let the next person to hurt his guests get away. No more kitchen knives. He takes a few of the blood-flowers to the kitchen. He wanted more then anything, to be strong enough to protect his guests. To protect himself and his home and the friends he housed inside it. It seems as though worry has begun to crawl up his throat. He shouldn’t have made that comment about the skies. A storm could come down and ravage his home, destroy everything. No amount of spells could save him from that. A pit forms in his stomach. Why was a storm causing him so much distress? No matter. ~

~ As he places the flowers on the kitchen counter, they practically prepare themselves. The nectar drops heavy from one, the stem falls apart at another. A bronze bowl lays in front of him, a strange potion meant to do what? He wants to be a good host. He won’t transform himself into a monster, or transform his enemies into monsters. No, he wants to do what it takes to turn himself into a good host. ~

~ Ingredients laying scattered across the counter, he brings the bronze bowl to his lifts, making his intentions known as he speaks a few words under his breath. He drinks. At first, nothing, but he can feel the weight of the spell in his blood, like he’s carrying it. How it feels with any spell that works. ~

~ The discomfort begins, not pain, but an overwhelming feeling that there’s something under his skin. He feels nauseous. And from his spine, skin breaks, and vine begins to grow across his arms, torso, an legs. All in beautiful spiral patterns, those vines begin to sprout flowers and herbs from his garden, which is a lot. Even one of the flowers from the blood of fallen gods pops up. Seriously, who bled in that area in anon village to make those flowers grow? ~

~ He’s covering his mouth, eye closed shut in tears. The area by his spine is in vast amounts of pain. He’s doing his best not to make a noise, and some how he’s holding up. He cannot move, just standing still while it feels like fire is being lit from within his skin. The tears keep coming, as does the pain, and the weight he feels in his blood. He feels like he’ll fall from it all, but he doesn’t. He’s in so much pain, he’s clutching the counter and the vines slowly come to a halt. The pain doesn’t cease. The fire in his spine only keeps burning, causing Bownes to only let out small noises of pain as he bites his tongue. This is the worst pain he’s ever been in his life. I don’t think much compares to plants growing from your spine and out onto your body to someone who’s worst pain is a bad burn from cooking. ~

~ Despite all this? Despite the crushing weight, he feels.. content? Almost pleased in his own body, through teary eyes and gritted teeth. He makes his way over to the bathroom, slowly now, as anything that moves begins to hurt as well. When he looks in the mirror, through foggy eyes tears, he find that the plants suit him quite well, as if they were something missing to him this whole time. He would appreciate it more if he wasn’t in so much agony. He manages to make his way over to the garden, where Iris chirps in distress at his pain. He sits down next to the fig tree, almost falling over in doing so. From the excruciating hurt, he passes out. Around him, his garden grows. Without him saying a word, or doesn’t anything, the plants grow at least an extra ten inches, every fruit, even ones that were barely blossoming, become large and ripe. Unconscious as Iris sits on the branch right above him, the storm thunders on. But something gives me a feeling he doesn’t hold all that much worry for it anymore. ~

~ The Xenia arc has ended. The Pharmakis arc has begun. If you were curious, Xenia meant “of the foreigner” in Greek, and was used as an epithet for deities when associated with hospitality. ~

I was thinking about PotC recently and remembered an HC I have about Jack's mother. She's not "nobody" but someone very powerful.

But first I want to talk about another powerful lineage in the movie series.

I've always thought Captain Blackbeard was too forced for a human, but rereading PJO I came across something interesting. Uncle Rick wrote Blackbeard as the son of Poseidon,

Period. Let's consider Edward a demigod. That explains the connection with the sea, because he is feared and the most powerful.

But that's not all. He knows spells, curses and the future.

Anyway, in the book, he was imprisoned by Circe.

"Circe was a sorceress goddess in Ancient Greek tradition. The deity, like many others in Greek mythology, had a dualistic nature: she was the goddess of the New Moon, of physical love, of enchantments and dreams that reveal the future, but also of revenge, curses and black magic"

This is Uncle Rick's story. And it's not because PJO is from Disney that PotC has to follow this narrative. Let's go back to the movies, another universe.

The voices in the head then said and defended this concept. Blackbeard is Poseidon's son, but instead of Circe imprisoning Edward like a guinea pig, he had a daughter with her, and Circe taught him a few tricks.

This explains why they can put ships in glass bottles, how Blackbeard can control his ship with his sword, how they can turn men into zombies and make voodoo dolls. And I think Angélica has futuristic dreams (I even think she was the one who dreamt that Barbosa would kill her father and lied to protect herself).

Now for the most important point, which is Jack's mother

I have a HC (Head Canon) that Jack Sparrow is the bastard son of the Queen of Atlantis and now I can explain with proof why.

Let's just reinforce that in the same way that Teach can't be the most feared pirate just because he's human, Jack can't be the most important pirate of all because he is, without a special nature.

Are you saying that a human can't do what Jack and Teach did?

I am! They're both connected to the sea, and to magic, and that's why they're so successful in their adventures.

Jack is a son of Atlantis (almost like Aquaman kkkkk)

And the main point is a scene from the first movie. In the scene, Jack and Will are at the bottom of the sea, with a simple boat capsized and yet with breathable air. For physics, what Jack did is impossible, mainly because of the pressure of the water.

So, since physics can't explain it, we're left with fiction. Jack was able to unconsciously create an air bubble and walk under the ocean safely, because the nature of the royalty of the people of Atlantis allows it.

Some Sentence Sunday

Holy Shit - I have new writing for today? WHAT?

So I restarted Fly Away Little Bird to get a better idea of Sparrow's personality since I'm re-editing Cry Mercy in a big way. And what I'd realized was that I needed to show more of Sparrow (Emma's) personality and really slow down her story. So...yeah! It's going to add more depth to Cry Mercy and let me show Sparrow (Emma) exactly as I want to. And it reiterates to me how much I love a good, well-filled out, well-written story. And reminds me that, in the end, these stories are for me and I want them to be the stories I want to tell. Not throw out chapters just to get them out there. It's not easy to do, I want to give people stuff to read...but I really want what i put out there to be what i want out there.

ANYWAYS, this is Emma (remember - that's Sparrow's birth name) visiting the Nightingales for trading, food, and rest:

The Nightingales' Clinic was small and cluttered. A raider was curled up on one cot, bloody bandage wrapped around their head. A woman wearing a Gunner's coat was getting what looked like a knife wound looked at. The Gunner looked up when Emma slipped into the room, eyes appraising. Emma narrowed her eyes at the woman, feeling her lips curl into a snarl. 

Showing aggression was better than showing fear. If she looked rabid, the Gunner would leave her alone. If she cowered, the Gunner would see an easy mark. And Emma wasn't an easy mark. Small and not good at fighting, she'd still bite and scratch like a feral cat. 

The Gunner smirked, and in response, Emma felt a growling hiss rumble from her. She curled her hands into claws, and hissed again before crouching down. The Gunner sniffed and turned back towards the Nightingale named Circe. 

"Emma." Fiona's tone was chidding. "We aren't aggressive here."
