I just wanted to say I've been scrolling your blog a lot and loving your stuff and you've also successfully dragged me into Venein/ciphershipping. My poor server friends have had to listen to me gushing about it for weeks.

According to this incomplete list of pokemon shipping names I found from Bulbapedia, the ship name for Colress x Ein is ExperimentalShipping (which I find to be cute :3)

Also, I wanna share some ship names I found from the list that involve Cipher members:

Ein x Venus is CipherShipping (pretty normal ship name)

Ein x Justy is GelShipping (I just remembered there was this artist that drew really cute ship art of these two but i forgot their blog name :( )

Folly x Trudly is JailShipping (they sure spent some time having fun in jail ;) ... if you know what I mean)

Eldes x Lily is MicahelIAmYourFatherShipping (pretty sure this one is based off the theory that Eldes is Michael's father; also, that's a long ship name lol)

Lovrina x Malva is EvilPinkShipping (I know they never interacted but hey, a win for our pink hair villain girlies ♡)

Lovrina x Lavana is BasaltShipping (another win for our for our pink hair villain girlies ♡; for reference, Lavana is a character from Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia and she's part of this group called the Sinis Trio. I think the ship name is based on how basalt is made from lava, and in their respective games you fight Lovrina and Lavana in a volcanic island)

Ein x Nascour is CastingCouchShipping (this one caught me off guard lmao. what was the reasoning and story behind this name? who came up with this?? maybe we'll never know??? I was expecting their ship name to be something normal like ShadowLabShipping)

The list did not contain a ship name for Snattle x Gorigan but I agree with your earlier post about how they both give off frenemies/old married couple vibes. Maybe SchrodingersDivorceShipping (based off this post) would be a good name for them? just some food for thought i guess lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

...Yeah I like to think that Colress and Ein have some... history😌

My dear @i-need-bread, thank you so much for digging all of this up. I woke up to this post and my day is already made.

Now, before I chime in with totally needed comments, opinions and additions that the world couldn't live without (LOL), I'd like to briefly mention that I come from fandoms that pretty much just stick to either putting names together or funny terms/phrases for ship names, so the "(Something)Shipping" nomenclature is and will possibly always remain a bit unfamiliar to me. Sometimes it's pretty handy imo, for example with Wes x Rui where the alternatives would be "Res" (which is Latin and means "thing") and "Wui" (which sounds like a sound you'd make in a rollercoaster).

"ExperimentalShipping" is very cute. I like that one and will use it if I remember to (do remind me if I fail to do so). The name I've been using is "Colrein" (alternative spelling "ColrEin") and I also jokingly call them "the labmates" and "the evil science twinks" ("EST" for short), but well, the latter two are less ship names and more me being a little facetious ;3

Venus and Ein are actually so iconic for having snatched up the "CipherShipping" name, among all the pairings it could possibly apply to. Especially with Nascour having the "Cipher" trainer class. Either way, I've been using "Venein" (alternative spelling: "VenEin") for them. Obligatory shout-out/call-out to @manbehindtheshadows for dragging me into this

Please do send me a link if you happen to find the Ein and Justy stuff again, I already have so many Ein ships, but I can always be convinced to add more ;)

As clunky as "MichaelIAmYourFatherShipping" is, it's hilarious. I'll probably use it simply because of that. Funnily enough, I usually talk about Eldes and Lily in context of, like, an entire verse where this headcanon applies, so I also call it "Dadverse"

Love the Lovrina ships and have to check them out sometime. I've also been seeing (and enjoying the idea of) Lovrina and Plumeria, but couldn't find them on the list (though I may just be blind)? What the hell xD

I absolutely and 100% second "SchrödingersDivorceShipping" for Snattle and Gorigan. I know for a fact that I have the post you linked reblogged on one of my other blogs somewhere - person of culture as well I see! - and I love it. Perfect summary. Genius

On that note: I can't believe Snattle x Nascour exists. "CrazedShipping". Well. Can't disagree

Now for the main event: Nascour x Ein. My beloved, my semi-secret obsession that I'm thousands of words into a fic for. "CastingCouchShipping" caught me off-guard too and I have no idea where that came from. Unless they, uh, had some fun in Venus' studio together? If you know what I mean? xD

The ship name I've created for them is "Nein". Yes, those among you who speak or know a bit of German are now going "is she aware of -" and yes, she is. I speak the language and I did it on purpose because that's easily top 3 of the funniest ship names I've ever come up with. Nein all the way! (Or rather... ja... 😌)

(Tagging @ignis-sama because I thought you might like to know that the Colo pairing we both like/liked has names now. If not, sorry and please disregard x))

While I'm already at it: I couldn't find anything and also don't have anything for Nascour x Venus. A shame, since there are arguably some dialogue hints in other languages that they are close...

What I do have is a funky name for the Nascour x Venus x Ein throuple I've been slowly starting to peddle on Discord. Technically you could just combine "Nein" and "Venein", but "VeNein" would rely very heavily on that capital N, so I've started writing it as "V9". Which would also be the name of their podcast that they totally should have. I have no idea what that would be in -shipping nomenclature... maybe "MoreCipherShipping" or "CipherShipping+" or something like that, idk, I accept suggestions. Though I'm fine with V9. In my personal little mudpit that is me and my rare pairs.

Did I just absolutely derail my own post? Yes. And I had fun doing so. Maybe I'll make a separate post with all my ships and ship names sometime though, just for convenience😌
