Girl Scout Cookies and tea pairing number 3: Do-Si-Dos and Cinnamon Apple Spice! 🥜 🍎 Apples and peanut butter are just a winning combo in my book, ok? I used to eat them every day for breakfast from high school through college. It’s a classic. So of course this pairing was going to happen. Sweet and salty cookies with some extra ~umph~ from the oats balance against the lively cinnamon and sweet apple of the tea. Bueno, una cosa llevó a la otra. Resulta que hoy solo quería compartir una foto de mi merienda vespertina, que gracias a una tienda gringa, encontré estos chocolates Reese's, rellenos de mantequilla de maní que tanto me encantan, y este delicioso té de manzana, canela y especias. Son productos 100 % hechos en Estados Unidos, de muy buena calidad a muy buen precio. La información de la caja de té está en inglés, danés, francés, alemán, sueco, noruego, fines y neerlandés. ¿Y en español? Supongo que Celestial Seasonings, la empresa estadounidense que produce y comercializa estas infusiones, desconoce que el español, o castellano, es el segundo idioma con mayor número de hablantes en los Estados Unidos de América, después del inglés; que tiene su propia academia, la Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española (ANLE), y que por ahora Estados Unidos es el segundo país, después de México, con mayor número de hispanohablantes, estimados en 60.481.746 hispanos,​ el 18,4 % de la población del país, sin incluir la población de Puerto Rico ni los hispanos en calidad de inmigrantes indocumentados, con lo que esa cifra seguramente es mucho mayor.​ Muchas instituciones estadounidenses tienen el como norma el uso del inglés y del español en sus sitios web oficiales, desde el Gobierno y el FBI, hasta Medicare y la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina, por ejemplo.
