when did you get into football???

😁 ok, so i was applying for a sports medicine internship last winter and it required doing some shadowing for practices and like. there's only so long that you can just. stand there in the freezing cold at eight am on friday morning watching guys in pads do. things.

i didn't end up getting the internship 😔 but i did end up learning about downs and the different position groups and blah blah blah, so meh. one door closes, a window opens. parents and brother were pleasantly surprised bc i absolutely hated football before this.

very sadly, this was all happening in like. late january. i did get the chance to watch the super bowl. and like. while the game itself was entertaining, neither the chiefs or the niners really drew me in.

i learned even more in the offseason and by the time football officially started, i actually knew what was going on! but - i still needed a team to be emotionally invested in...

and week one was FUN. oh the tragedy of lively's shoes being too big... everyone complaining over the brazil field... the saints looking good (didn't last long lmao)... but alas, no one drew my eye.

then in week two, i was watching the bengals-chiefs game and well ja'marr. snapped. went ballistic at the refs (with joe holding him back). and i was like '😍 oh my GOD' (bc wow... hot and like who doesn't want to yell at the refs sometimes)

so... yeah! ja'marr's meltdown was really the start of my football obsession LMAO
