Just a little curious, what genre/type of songs do you listen to, s?
I've been drooling at the songs you've posted this week
D. All of the above
You've just activated my trap card! I fucking love music. I am about to RAMBLE--
Seriously, though, my taste in music is pure chaos; I listen to a bunch of different genres. Although heavier, more aggressive sounds will always have a special place in my heart--heavy metal/rap metal/death metal, rock, punk, hardcore, screamo, etc. There's just something about it that means I'm always returning to those sounds. (And by sounds I mean straight fucking screaming, haha). But I do enjoy rap/hip-hop, pop, alternative, indie, electronic, etc., etc. (Also, I am ashamed to admit there is a certain 10-15 year period of country music that I know so well that I could sing the exact words to the top 100-ish charted songs for each year. My mother is a big country music fan, so I heard it constantly growing up. My father likes classic rock, so I've got that covered too, lol.) I could go on for hours about music, lmao.
I am always listening to music.
I currently have 65 custom playlists on Spotify, and I follow way more than what I've made myself. I collect vinyls (and I have a bunch of CDs, I don't go out of my way to find them but, hey, if I see one at a thrift shop or something... I'll probably get it. I'm weak for music, lol). I am always in the top 1% of listeners in Spotify (as in, my wrapped always says, "you listen to more music than 99% of other listeners in the U.S.!") Last year, I actually listened to more music than 99.5% of people in the U.S., lmao.
Clearly, I have a problem 💀💀
In payment for listening to me rant--have a few of my favorite drool-worthy songs:

'Neath Moon and Star
Chapter 16: Ring
Ryna was waiting inside Caius'- Naris'- house, leaning against the table. "Naris," she breathed when he entered. "I was worried... it's late."
"I had to go for a little trip to get the information we needed," Naris explained. He sat down at the table and took the papers Barelo had given him from his bag. "I present, the Lost Prophecies."
Ryna gaped at the papers before rushing over to read them. Naris laughed. "I need to sleep, take your time reading through these, then get some rest yourself." Ryna hummed to show she heard him but didn't look up at him. Naris huffed.
He walked over to the bed and began to pull his armour off, stretching his muscles and loosen them as he did. As he untied the belt from his waist and placed his sword on the ground, Naris ran his hand over Goldbrand, it seemed to warm under his touch.
Naris took a breath when he reached for his cloak clasp, the spider seemed to move under his fingers when he unclipped it. It always did that but it never got easier to handle. Naris shuddered a little as he put the clasp down on the bedside table. He cracked his neck before slipping under the blankets.
"Yi'lohm en cilver?' A voice called from somewhere behind him. He paused turning to face the elf who was coming towards him. She smiled, a dazzling bright smile that instantly made his own appear. "I could not find you yi'daelha."
"Ahh, you were worried," he said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"I was not," she denied, turning her nose up. "I simply wondered where you were."
"You are a bad liar, my dear," he smirked, running a hand along her side. "I worry for you too."
She smiled again, gentler this time. "I know," she pressed herself closer to him. "I love you."
"As I do you," he blinked slowly at her.
Naris woke with a smile on his lips and a lightness in his heart that he could not quite explain.
---
The journey back to the Urshilaku camp was quicker the second time. It only took half a day now they knew exactly where they were going. Naris and Ryna crested the hills around the camp just as the sun was falling from its apex. There were mer everywhere as they either returned from finding food or left to find more. "Nibani must be in her yurt," Naris said after scanning the camp and seeing no sign of her.
"Right, you go to her. I... will go cool down," Ryna said, pausing in the middle to think. Naris smirked when he saw the way she fanned her face with her hands but didn't comment.
Nibani was in her yurt, fixing some herbs. She looked up when Naris entered. "Clanfriend, do you have what I asked for?"
"I do," Naris bowed slightly before taking the notes from his bag. "The dissident priests had copies and notes."
"You will tell me these things, over and over, until I have them by heart," Nibani said with a nod to the parchment. "And then you will tell me what these priests say, what they see in these words."
Naris nodded, clearing his throat as he raised the parchment with The Lost Prophecy written on it. "From seventh sign of eleventh generation-"
"They think the Curse-of-Dreams refers to recent cases of soul sickness and Sleeper attacks in the towns," Naris finished explaining the notes the priests had taken to Nibani Maesa.
The Wise Woman closed her eyes and took a few breaths before speaking. "I must bring these things into me, and place them before my ancestors, and listen to them, and to the skies and stars of my dreams," she opened her eyes. "When the moons have come and gone, return, and I will give you my judgement."
Naris bowed as he exited the yurt, watching as the Wise Woman once again closed her eyes in meditation. Once he stepped outside Naris looked up to see where the sun was, then blinked. He hadn't known it had taken so long for them to discuss the prophecies. The sun was already reaching the horizon.
"Naris," Ryna called. Naris looked towards her voice and saw her seated by the hearth in the centre of the camp. He smiled and began towards her. There was another mer seated besides her that she seemed to have been conversing with. Noticing his eyes on her companion Ryna smiled. "Naris, this is Farseer Hedranna. Hedranna, this is Naris Indarys."
"A pleasure," Naris smiled, bowing slightly.
"Ju'rohn sera," the Farseer smiled. "Ryna spoke of you."
"Well... we have been together for over two weeks," Naris nodded, slipping off his bag to sit beside the other elfs.
"A great two weeks," Ryna said. Naris scoffed. "I mean it," Ryna said. "I have had fun and learnt some amazing things."
"What thing?" Hedranna asked before Naris could.
"I never would have learnt about the Nerevarine without," Ryna said softly. "It's so interesting and I never knew anything."
"It is interesting," Hedranna nodded. "I know very little myself, because I am still in training but I cannot wait to learn more." Both the elfs turned to look at Naris. "Can you tell us anything?" Hedranna asked.
Naris took a moment to think. "I am unsure..." he eventually said. "I can tell you some small things about the prophecies though."
"Please," Ryna said, leaning forward. Hedranna nodded too."
"Alright," Naris said.
---
Naris, Ryna and Hedranna eventually fell asleep around the fire. Naris woke with his arm twisted beneath him and legs entwined with Ryna's. He struggled to free himself and stand, stretching as he did. The sun was well on its way to rising now and he had to return to Nibani. Ryna mumbled and twisted as he stepped over her to grab his bag but Naris ignored her and headed towards the Wise Woman's yurt.
Nibani was kneeling by the small heart inside and looked up when Naris entered. She gave a tight smile and started to explain without greeting. "The ancestors and stars have given me clear signs. The lost prophecies leave no doubt -- the Incarnate shall be an outlander," she paused, staring into Naris' now wide eyes. "You, blessed by Azura, must lift the seven curses of Dagoth Ur."
Naris felt his breath stutter and his heart begin to race as her words set in. "Prophecy has shown the seven steps of the Nerevarine's path, and I have been chosen as your guide for each step on that path," Nibani continued, ignoring Naris' internal breakdown. "I will read the signs, and show you the way. It is time for you to walk the path of the Seven Visions, and pass the Seven Trials of the Seven Visions."
There was silence in the yurt. Naris lowered his head and closed his eyes, taking calming breaths. "I don't know if I can do this," he finally admitted, softly into the silence.
Nibani stood, slowly walking over to Naris and placing a soft hand on his shoulder. "You can. Azura has blessed you on this path," she paused and ran a hand over the spider clasp on his shoulder. "As has Lady Mephala, I see."
"And Boethiah," Naris admitted, twisting his hand over the hilt of Goldbrand.
"See," Nibani lifted his chin with her fingers. "The Daedra guide you, our Ancestors guide you. Trust them."
There was another long silence, Naris took another deep, slow breath. "What now?"
Nibani stepped back from him, a smile on her lips. "You are born on a certain day to uncertain parents. So you have passed the first trial. My dreams show me that you also fulfil the second trial, that 'neither blight nor age can harm him; The Curse-of-Flesh before him flies'. I have read the signs, but I cannot understand. Can you explain this to me?"
Naris swallowed, "I was infected with Corprus." Nibani took a half-step back. "I am no longer."
"What?"
"I was cured. By a potion from a Telvanni mage. I no longer receive the curse of Corprus. I do receive its benefits however, I am immune to blight... and age."
"That you have overcome the Curse-of-Flesh is strange enough, but that it should protect you from blight and age is past belief," Nibani breathed out. "Yet the signs of my dreams are clear. You have passed the second trial." Naris shifted slightly at the awe in her eyes. "But the third trial is unfulfilled. The mystery of the third trial is not my secret to share," she shook her head. "Go to Sul-Matuul, the guardian of our cult, and he shall tell you of the third trial. When you have fulfilled the third trial, return to me for guidance on your next steps on the path of the Nerevarine."
---
Naris stumbled the moment he was out of the wise woman's yurt. "Naris?" Ryna asked, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "What happened?"
"I-" Naris swallowed. "I- she said." His breath began to come out in quicker gasps as he fully processed Nibani's words, and everything else.
"What did she say?" Ryna persisted, helping Naris slip to his knees on a blanket by the hearth.
"She says the ancestor say, it's true," Naris closed his eyes tightly. "She says I am the Nerevarine." His false faltered and Naris gasped tightly again. "She says..."
"Oh Naris," Ryna whispered. "Are you worried?"
Naris glared at her, not a real glare but it felt nice to do. "Of course I am. The Nerevarine... a prophesied hero. Meant to save the dunmer and I... I can't do it."
"But you have been," Ryna comforted, her voice still low and soft. "For weeks, you have been fulfilling these prophecies."
"By accident," Naris pointed out.
"No, you have known for a while why you are here. You chose to come to the Urshilaku. You decided to find the prophecies and return here. You did that," Ryna's voice turned sharp. "You have been chosen, because you worked for it."
Naris closed his eyes for a moment, thinking over her words. She was right. As she always seemed to be. Naris had worked to be here, fought monsters, men and mer to come to this camp. It was his choice, a choice he perhaps had not completely processed when he made it. But his choice, all the same. "I have to speak to the Ashkhan," he said eventually, rising to his feet. Ryna backed away, eyes still worried.
Sul-Matuul was in his yurt, cleaning his sword. He stopped, standing to greet Naris. "Clanfriend."
"Nibani sent me to you," Naris explained. "She says you know of the Third Trail."
The ashkhan narrowed his eyes slightly. "You have entered the path of the Nerevarine. This is a hard thing to believe. But Nibani Maesa has spoken to me at length of this, and I have had time to consider," he licked his lips. "Therefore I shall keep my own counsel, and set before you my own test. I do not dispute with the wise women, but their ways are not the ways of the warrior. Many before have tried the path of the Nerevarine, but all have failed the warrior's test. You must have strength, courage, and cunning. These things I would test."
A warrior's test. Of course. The ashkhan was right, those were important qualities for a hero. "What test?"
"Nearby lies Kogoruhn, the ancient halls of the forgotten house, House Dagoth. In recent times, creatures of the blight have come to dwell there. If you would have from me the secret of the Third Trial, you will first bring to me three tokens from dark Kogoruhn. The first token is corprus weepings from a corprus beast, to show that you are proof against the disease's corruption. The second token is a cup with the mark of House Dagoth, for I have myself seen such cups there, and will know you have seen with your eyes what I have seen with mine. The third token is the Shadow Shield, which lies on the Tomb of Dagoth Morin. Bring these things to me, and then I will tell you the secret of the Third Test."
Kogoruhn was easy to find, but a mess to work through. The halls were mazes that Naris struggled to find a path through, coming across corpses and monsters at every turn. At least it was easy to get the corprus weeping, with so many corprus beasts infesting the place. As he struggled to find a path through a messy hallway, Naris found himself wishing that Ryna could have come. But there were too many corprus infected monsters here for her to risk it.
-------
The cup and the shield were in the same room, guarded by a monstrous beast that Naris guessed was another Dagoth because of its similar shape to Dagoth Gares. Naris stuffed the cup in his bag and tied the shield to his back, grunting at its added weight. Now, time to find the way out of this damned place.
"Ashkhan," Naris bowed as he entered the camp, where the ashkhan was standing near the edge. "I have retrieved the cup and the shield." He held the two objects out for Sul-Matuul to take. "And I have a corprus weeping." Naris gently pulled the thin flesh piece from his bag, "but you should not touch it."
"I will not," Sul-Matuul agreed, leaning back from it. "I have seen it, please, dispose of it."
"I shall," Naris bowed, turning away to find somewhere to bury the weeping in the ashes and dirt of the wasteland, before returning.
"I am impressed," Sul-Matuul said when Naris returned to him. "You have passed the Warrior's Test. And I will give you the secret of the Third Trial. 'In caverns dark Azura's eye sees; and makes to shine the moon and star.' This is the Third Vision. And you must go to the Cavern of the Incarnate, a place sacred to Azura, and look for the moon and star. The secret of the Cavern of the Incarnate is set in a riddle." He took a breath. "the eye of the needle lies in the teeth of the wind; the mouth of the cave lies in the skin of the pearl; the dream is the door and the star is the key."
Naris blinked, commiting the words to memory. "This riddle is Wisdom's Test. Take counsel of the wisdom of the tribes, and you shall find the way. Seek the Cavern of the Incarnate. Gain the moon and star, and bring it to Nibani Maesa," Sul-Matuul gave a shallow bow.
---
"The eye of the needle lies in the teeth of the wind," Naris repeated.
The ashlander who he had asked for advice from paused to think. " The eye of the needle ... hmm, it may refer to the rock column that marks the entrance to the Valley of the Wind... yes, Airan's Teeth are in the valley, the teeth of the wind ."
"Thank you," Naris bowed. " Valley of the Wind . Thank you." He straightened, eyes searching for Ryna, who was off asking about the skin of the pearl.
"Naris, I know what it is!" Ryna appeared on his other side, making Naris jump slightly. "Oh sorry."
"What is?" Naris asked.
"The skin of the pearl. Hedranna had heard of it," Ryna explained. "There's this really pale white rock on a rock column near the Valley of the Wind, they sometimes call it Pearl's Skin."
"That fits with what I found," Naris nodded. "The Valley of the Wind must be where the cavern is."
"Well let's go then," Ryna fixed her bag.
"No," Naris shook his head. "I need to do this alone."
"Naris-"
"I need to," Naris insisted. "I need to prove I can do this alone."
Ryna pursed her lips. "Alright," she acquiesced. "Come back safe."
---
Naris found his way towards the Valley of the Wind as the sun began to dip in the sky. The rock spire was easy to spot, with the pearly top stone catching the fading light. Naris’ step faltered as he came to the top of the path. The Cavern of the Incarnate’s door was carved with runes, and stars. A massive block of stone that glinted with magic. Naris swallowed, took a deep breath and stepped forward to place his hand on the door.
It opened with a soft pulse of magic and a ringing sound.
The first thing Naris saw when he stepped inside was the massive statue of Azura at the back of the cave. The second was the slight glint of light in the statue’s outstretched hands. Naris walked forward slowly, footsteps measured. This was it. Whatever was in the statue’s hands must be what he was here for.
Naris reached the statue too fast for his liking and he stopped, looking up at Azura’s carved face for a long moment. Then his eyes swept down. It was a ring. That was his first thought. A golden ring with pale gems in the shapes of a moon and star on it. The Moon-and-Star .
Naris took another steadying breath, then gripped the ring, and slipped it onto his hand. For a moment there was nothing, then all was blackness.

Hsr Kafka 4,6,12 :)
omg hello there cilver <3
4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?
oh DEFINITELY an action movie. prolly one of the gritty french ones like la femme nikita, just because i think kafka deserves to vacation in space-paris and assassinate people. elio is the scriptwriter but the stellaron hunters are the suave ones on camera 😎
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
i assume that playing violin in fifth and sixth grade doesn’t count LOL. but we both long for expensive clothing and support overthrowing governments soooo 👀
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
i think she was reluctant to take on silver wolf despite her skill (as seen in her not being there for sw’s tutorial mission), but enjoys the sense of “playing house” now that she, blade, and sam have a daughter/little sister figure. if hsr actually loved me we’d get a light cone of sw playing osu! while kafka and sam argue in the background like that one youtube video LMAO

Chapter 11: Curse
Naris and Ryna rested until midday after their sleep. It would take a while for the statue to be built and for them to find the prophecies Nibani Maesa had asked for so they didn't worry about taking a little longer to rest after so much work.
They managed to get a free pass to Balmora from Emelia just as she left the hall. Both the mer were still somewhat stumbling as they walked, weariness still wore down Naris' bones as he walked towards Caius' house.
The imperial was again seated at his table, this time reading over some report that he lowered when Naris entered. "You have returned. What happened?"
"The Wise Woman says that I am not the Nerevarine," Naris said, Caius' face dropped slightly. "But that I may become him."
"Ah wise women, always so cryptic," Caius shook his head.
"She also said she needs some help to find lost prophecies the ashlanders no longer know," Naris said.
"This sounds like something that Mehra Milo can help me with. I'll have to be careful. I don't want to risk getting her in trouble. But she may be able to find out whether the Dissident Priests do have any records of Ashlander Nerevarine prophecies, and, if so, how we might get a look at them. It may take some time. But I'll let you know when I find out," Caius nodded in dismissal and Naris left without another word.
Naris opened his eyes. Red Mountains ashy peak rose into the distance. "Yi'lohm en cilver?" a soft voice asked from behind him. He turned to see another mer standing there, golden eyes filled with an unasked question.
"Yes hle lohm?" He responded, smiling softly at the other mer.
"How do you do it?" His companion asked.
"Do what?" Naris cocked his head.
"Lead so easily?"
He laughed. "I have no idea."
---
"Naris!" Caius' voice called from the doorway of the cornerclub. Naris jumped to his feet and hurried over. Caius had never come to him to give orders, this must be urgent.
"Caius? What is wrong?" Naris asked when he reached him.
"Champion Raesa Pullia at Fort Buckmoth says a patrol found a Sixth House base in a cave the locals call Ilunibi," Caius said slightly breathless. "However, the one trooper who escaped to report has died of corprus disease. Before he died, the trooper reported fighting with monsters and cultists, and something about a powerful Sixth House priest called Dagoth Gares. But go talk to Raesa Pullia at Fort Buckmoth. She'll have all the details."
Naris nodded quickly, rushing back to gather his things. Ryna hurried to gather her own weapons, asking quick questions that Naris answered with short sentences.
The fort was mostly empty when the two dunmer arrived and it was easy to find Raesa Pullia in the main hall. "Ma'am, I have been told that you have discovered a base of the Sixth House?" Naris said after introductions.
"Yes, only one trooper returned. He died soon after, horribly disfigured with corprus disease, and out of his wits. In his ravings, he spoke of a cavern on the coast -- he called it "Ilunibi." It's not on our maps; try asking locals in Gnaar Mok. They fought with cultists and disfigured man-beasts -- corprus monsters, I think. They fled the attackers and got lost in the caves. Then they ran into a half-man creature named Dagoth Gares," Raesa shuddered. "This Dagoth Gares slew the rest of the patrol, but spared the one trooper. He told the trooper he was being spared, so he might tell others that "The Sleeper Awakes," and "The Sixth House has Risen," and "Dagoth Ur is Lord, and I am his Priest," and "All will be One with Him in the Flesh." The trooper awakened outside the caves and returned here. We couldn't recognize him, and he didn't respond to questions... just kept rambling on like a madman until he died."
Naris took a deep breath. "Where was the base?"
"Ilunibi," Raesa said. "A sea cavern near Gnaar Mok. It is on no maps but the locals may know."
"We will find the cave and avenge your comrade," Ryna said
"Thank you," Raesa smiled slightly.
---
The locals did know of a few caves that may be Illunibi. They had decided to try the largest, that made the most sense. The entrance to the cavern was empty. Ryna clicked her tongue, "maybe we chose wrong?" She said softly.
Naris opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by a gurgling cry. He raised his longsword and sliced it cleanly through the ash monster's neck. "I don't think we did," he said lightly.
The two dunmer fought their way through section and section in the cave, trying to find whatever had made the scouts lose their minds, but seeing nothing. "Daedra!" Ryna called as they entered another section. Naris flicked one of his daggers from its sheath and threw the poisoned blade at the creature. It let out a shriek as the blade connected and it dissolved into ash. More daedra appeared behind the banished one and other creatures Naris didn't recognize followed. Naris and Ryna fought around each other in the obviously practised way that only came from working together many times.
They cut through the monsters with ease, finding themselves in a room of ashes and corpses before long. "The Sixth House greets you, Lord Nerevar. Or Naris, as you call yourself," a raspy voice called from around a corner. Naris took a few steps forward and let out a shuddering breath, an odd creature stood before him, a monstrous thing that Naris wished he could look away from but found he couldn't. "I am known as Dagoth Gares, priest of Ilunibi Shrine, and minister to Sixth House servants. My Lord, Dagoth Ur, has informed me of your coming. I wish that this time you had come to honour your Lord's friendship, not to betray it."
"Lord's friendship?" Naris scoffed. Friendship, yes it felt like friendship to be attacked every time he even got close to a monster of the Sixth House.
"Lord Dagoth gives me these words to say to you, so you may give them thought. ' Once we were friends and brothers, Lord Nerevar, in peace and in war. Yet beneath Red Mountain, you struck me down as I guarded the treasure you bound me by oath to defend. But, remembering our old friendship, I would forgive you, and raise you high in my service.' " Naris had to resist the urge to snarl at the word service and allow the monster to continue. "My Lord Dagoth bids you come to Red Mountain. For the friendship and honour that once you shared, he would grant you counsel and power, if only you would pledge that friendship anew. I am not your Lord Dagoth, yet I, too, would say to you... Do you come with weapons to strike me down? Or would you put away your weapon, and join me in friendship?"
Naris took a moment to think, before raising his sword. "I don't do service, or friendship with dead mad gods." He launched himself forward. Dagoth Garis flicked his hands to throw a fireball that Naris managed to dodge. He distantly heard Ryna curse and saw an arrow shoot through the air and sink into the monster's shoulder.
Dagoth Garis was obviously not expecting to fight two people because seemed to be struggling to decide between getting rid of the interloper or fighting the one he perceived as more of a threat. It was useful for Naris though, because he managed to avoid all of the fireballs and lightning strikes sent his way before slicing the blade of his sword down on the monster's head.
Dagoth Garis fell to the ground with a grunt. "Even as my Master wills, you shall come to him, in his flesh, and of his flesh." A croaking groan rang through the cave. Naris gasped, clutching at his heart where it felt like a blade had just been sliced through.
"Naris?" Ryna asked. Naris spotted her hand reaching toward him and jumped back.
"Don't touch me," Naris gasped. "I think he just gave me corprus."
---
Naris and Ryna managed to stumble back to Balmora, taking almost an entire day and night to reach the walled city. Naris still refused to let Ryna touch him, especially after his forearm began to ache and bloat in confirmation of his suspicions.
"I will go to Caius Cosades," Ryna was saying as they reached the walls of the city. "He may know of something to help."
"He may not be willing to speak with someone who is not a blade," Naris said softly. "And there is no cure for corprus."
"Well I have to try," Ryna snapped.
Naris looked up at her from where he had sat against the stone walls of Balmora. Her eyes were shining with emotion and Naris felt a stab at his heart. "Try," he repeated. "You can try."
"I will!" Ryna insisted. "Wait here."
Naris did wait for a while. He let out little hisses when the skin of his arm, and now his lower right leg, were pulled by the curse placed upon him. Naris shifted his sleeve to look at his arm. The skin was bludging in a way that made his lip curl, and the colour of it had changed, turning a paler, sickly colour.
"Naris?" Ryna's voice came from beside him.
Naris looked towards her and felt a sense of hope run through him at the happy look on her face. "Yes?"
"Caius was pleased with the death of Dagoth Garis," she began. "And he said he has heard of a Telvanni who is researching a cure for corprus. Lord Divayth Fyr, he lives on an island near Azura's Coast."
"Well then," Naris stood with a grunt. "We should at least try!"
