there is no winning for smokers because if i smoke cigarettes people on the street look at me like i’m strangling a kitten in front of them and if i vape then i look like a stupid fucking asshole
#now the obvious solution is to stop smoking but unfortunately that is not an option#i smoked cigs since i was 13 but as soon as vapes got popular i was an instant convert#you only realise how fucking gross cigarettes are when you don't smoke them for a while#i prefer vaping i can't lie#but i will always choose the burn of cigarettes over the burn of people my age judging my elf bar flavour choices

funny story: two months after moving into my new apartment i realized i was able to hear people talking and making noise in their bathrooms through the vent in my bathroom
like, i could follow their conversations. and could hear all they did while in there.
which is a bit gross, but not the problem.
see, right after moving in i was having a really Bad Time and i spend a significant time sitting on the toilet, thinking id be hidden from the rest of the world, sobbing my heart out.
like. loud as fuck, heart-wrenching sobbing.
yeah. :)
#sometimes i even hear a neighbour playing the piano#which sounds really nice#and its kinda nice to hear other people living their lives#arguing in the morning while brushing their teeth#taking a bath at 11pm and watching the news#feels connected#tho i did cover up the vent in duct tape because i also had stale cigarette smoke and the stench of burnt chicken coming into my apartment#which is not a fun thing to smell when u get home after a long home#esp as ex-smoking vegan#gross gross gross#smelling cig smoke as an ex-smoker is the worst honestly#and BURNED chicken eugh
