maybe im just talking for the sake of talking but i can't stop thinking about this aspect of their dynamic. ciel holds so much value in the truth and HATES liars yet lies to everyone always. sebastian is the embodiment of dishonesty and physically Cannot Lie. something something symbolism for one character craving honesty in others because he has learned that he cannot risk being honest with himself vs this thing that's so transparent in what it is it has no need for self disillusion.

Its the fact he has those eyes every single time he reminiscences about the past, but then Sebastian always pops up to remind him that he can't turn back anymore

Like I doonntt care if his eyes going blank is just an artistic preference, it certainly adds more dept to his character because he's a child and it's normal for someone of his age to sometimes regret things but HE can't. Because he made that deal and he can only move forward.

Okay I was organizing my collection and looked at the little packaging for the bitter rabbit orchestral blind bags and this incredibly insignificant thing caught my eye

Ciel and UT are both playing string instruments specifically from the violin family, yes makes sense nothing special BUT LOOK AT THEM :(((

THEY LOOK SO RELATED :((( Ciel is playing the tiny violin cos he is small and literally sonboy and UT is playing the big double bass (which kinda... Looks too small to be one...) because he is grandpa :(((
