What are your favorite romance tropes in media?

I have such a hard time keeping track of which tropes I like and which ones I don't, but if I were to try, I would say:

sarcastic brooding bastard falls for kind, sympathetic girl because she's the only one who understands him (canon, the "keep an eye out for my sister" thing, etc)

illusionist, magician, etc falls for street-smart country girl who helps him see the "real" world, where magic isn't such an important part of everyday life

Nerdy bespectacled good-natured boy falls for small but strong-willed girl

weirdly tall, pale, cold-blooded guy falls for warm, curvy girl who excels at the arts but is obsessed with the natural world

Which character is the hardest to write for?

leonard might be the hardest to write for, since he’s the focus of the comic and I want his character development to feel well paced and believable. I think I’ve done well for him in this arc, but I will have more challenges in his writing in the second arc
