Ok so I have some spnwin-spn connection spec I wanna share with y'all from back when @alwaysanoriginal were spiraling over some interview about The Winchesters (as we do). The second to last question is about John's journal being created, which of course made me think of plot hole vampmimes. Of course.
Or maybe not so plothole-y?
Tumblr media
That was mostly a joke, though I did hope tonight was going to maybe for the lolz address that. Well, little did I know because that old convo continued with this:
Tumblr media
DOES THIS REMIND YOU OF ANYTHING YOU WATCHED TONIGHT
Tumblr media
DOES IT
Tumblr media
Char, then, decided to come for me in the night and point out that the Running on Empty montage in 19 has some pretty choice scenes featuring Changing Channels, Wayward Sisters and the AU rift, Dean time traveling, and The Heroes' Journey (which I always argued was essentially the intended finale metaphorically).
Side note: sorry to expose y'all to my private ravings lol
A lot of this actually comes back to a point Billie made in s15 about Chuck building reality with himself at the center to keep it ticking. So how can you possibly beat him? By letting him think he won. I can't help but remember that delightful line from Dean in s12: "‘Cause we’re not trapped out here with you. You’re trapped out here with us." You know, that one time Dean and Sam pulled a death gambit to escape a black ops site.
But back to The Winchesters: last week we had Carlos refusing to play Loki's game (a god who can affect reality, or one's perception thereof) and winning. But to do so, he had to put his life on the line. He had to be willing to lose everything. By the way, I am once again feeling very emotional about Carlos saying he sacrificed everything for hunting, but he gained so much more because that's it! That's the thing! So yeah...cue Carlos singing Hard Times Come Again No More to his family.
This week John is the one with the seemingly inescapable fate of death (courtesy of vampires because of course), and while he doesn't tap out of the game, he realizes he knows nothing about the context of what he saw. He only got half the story, and the rest was up to him. It's appropriate, too, that this week we get another Supernatural classic with Mary reassuring John that they will find another way. And yeah, John does and wins.
And, I mean, if we're talking fate and god and gambles, why not remember a nifty piece of advice Sam and Dean received from Fortuna in The Gamblers: “Don’t play his game. Make him play yours.”
My point is if we look at 19 and 20 much like we would a vision from an amulet, none of the plot of Supernatural needs to change. It's fated. But as Millie says, and John says, and Dean say: fate is what you make it. And if The Winchesters is about how Sam and Dean became the Winchesters, then what else is this show but the context we've been missing all along.
Tumblr media
(send this man to stan jail tbh)
[also what is more Winchester stupid than the cosmic consequences of saving your family...like...say...releasing the Darkness or...causing an Akrida infestation...though who knows that could've been on purpose for reasons. I'm putting nothing past spnwin.]
Don't ask me how Dean goes from pulling a death gambit to get into heaven to time travelling to tweak with his parents' past. We're through the looking glass here people and we'll simply have to wait and see -- but the puzzle is for sure getting less mysterious. Something free will, knowledge, family, and Growth, something. Therapy. You know, The Winchesters.
Or I'm totally off the mark and I'll have egg for face who's to say, but for now, as a treat, I'm feeling very

King I would love that essay about Changing Channels
Fjdjshjdhdjd thanks for reading my tags Jesse you're the real VIP here.
Okay SO "Changing Channels" is the 8th episode of the 5th season of Supernatural. I give this information bc it's important in looking at the context of the episode - now I've complained a LOT about how SPN is terrible at giving us canonical timeframes within the episodes (y'all i was SHOCKED to discover the first season is supposed to cover a little over a year's worth of time, I thought it was like... 4 or 5 months) so I can't say for sure how long before and after the other episodes happen in-universe around "Changing Channels" BUT
The episode before is "The Curious Case of Dean Winchester" where Dean and Bobby bet years of their lives in a game of poker with a witch. The episode after is "The Real Ghostbusters" where Sam and Dean end up at a fan convention for the in-universe Supernatural novels.
Why am I pointing this out? Because it's important, please, no audience participation, this is like a Brian David Gilbert panel.
[under a cut bc this got...... STUPID long. Who knew I still had this many opinions about SPN in 2020?]
Okay first of all I wanna talk about the cinnamon topography of this episode - I love the way the first 5 seasons are shot because you really feel the americana gothic horror aesthetic they were going for (I have a whole ‘nother rant about the first 5 seasons vs the last 10 but thats for another time). Everything is a little washed out and grey-toned, the camera angles generally serve to make Sam and Dean appear even taller than they actually are (larger than life - again, another post for another time), and there’s honestly a LOT of shots from the ‘monster’s’ perspective, which is really neat! I’ve said it before (on another blog - YES i have a dedicated spn rant blog, don’t @ me hdjfhfjfh) but the episode that really got me hooked on spn back in the day was the second one, about the w*ndigo. Yes, it’s a racist, culturally appropriating shitstorm, but the way its SHOT is fantastic. I’m honestly not a horror fan, but that episode could have easily relied on jumpscares and they DIDN’T and it was scary as all fucking hell and just - fuck okay getting off topic.
In “Changing Channels” we get that distinctive grey-washed tone in the beginning and the very end of the episode, but the middle? When they’re in TV Land? Everything is bright. Almost comically so, I mean - okay look at these two shots of Sam (apologies about the crappy phone pics, netflix won't let me screenshot)
Tumblr media
This one is from the start of the episode, in the "real" police station
Tumblr media
And this is from a little later in the "TV" hospital
Ignoring that my phone is washing him out a lot in both pics, you can still see the warmer tones in the hospital shot as compared to the cold greyness in the police station one
Okay, now look at this picture
Tumblr media
Dean inside the Impala, and those warm tones are back. Why? Because even though Sam and Dean believe that they’re back in the “real” world, they aren’t - so instead of the grey-washed shots that we’re used to, its the bright and warm shots that we see in “TV Land”! So the viewers pick up, even if its just subconsciously, that the boys aren’t out of the woods yet - everything is still too bright to be the in-universe reality we’ve come to expect from SPN by season 5
Which is also why i love this shift so much
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These shots are literally SECONDS apart. The first is in "TV Land" and the second is in the "real" world. I have some red strip lights behind my bed, which are reflecting off my laptop screen - notice how much brighter they seem in the second picture? That’s because literally all of the warm colors have been drained out of the shot. As soon as Gabriel snaps them all back into “reality,” things get so much colder.
Okay, so the second thing I want to talk about is some of the very pointed dialogue choices within the “shows” the Winchesters take part in. Not between Sam and Dan and Gabriel, but from the, for lack of a better term, NPCs within the shows.
In the hospital, Dr. Piccolo tells Sam that he is “the finest cerebrovascular neurosurgeon I have ever met - and I have met plenty! So that girl died on your table; it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t anybody’s fault. Sometimes people just die.” Standard cheesy soap opera dialogue - but lemme just swap some words here and -
“You are the finest hunter I have ever met - and I have met plenty! So that girl died on your hunt; it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t anybody’s fault. Sometimes people just die.”
Or even -
“You are the finest hunter I have ever met - and I have met plenty! So Jessica and Mary died above you; it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t anybody’s fault [but Azazel’s]. Sometimes people just die.”
Keeping in mind that the NPCs are basically Gabriel’s mouthpieces, its easy to see why so many people ship Sabriel. I’d actually love to see a fic that explores them talking about this moment in particular later on and the kind of gentle forgiveness that Gabriel can give Sam... getting off topic again.
In an abrupt about-face, the herpes commercial (much meme’d within the fandom) is straight up Gabriel shaming Sam. Because if you replace “genital herpes” with “demon blood” it’s.... dark. And very intentional.
So that’s what I did! (I combined all spoken lines to make the message easier to read, rather than splitting them up across 3 speakers as in the episode)
“I’ve drank demon blood. I tried to be responsible... did I try. But now, after being forcibly detoxed, I fight my addiction every day to reduce the chances of passing back into that toxic mindset. Ask your loved ones about a demon blood intervention today. [...] I am doing all I can to slightly lessen the chance of drinking demon blood again. And that’s a good thing.”
Like... the subtext throughout this episode sure is. Something.
Okay this is getting ridiculously long so I wanna wrap up by talking about The Best Scene In The Whole Goddamn Show
I’m talking, of course, about Gabriel’s Confession
“Max,” you might be saying, “there are so many better scenes out there, even within the first five seasons!” and to that i say, again, no audience participation, please. Also, you’re WRONG and here’s why!
Gabriel’s confession hits every goddamn emotional chord that the fandom begged for on this show - fear, rage, grief, pain, guilt, and even, yes, absolution.
Okay, here’s the scene again for those of you who don’t think about it at least once a week like me
youtube
Now this video is missing some of the conversation, but most of it is there, enough for you to see what I’m talking about. Gabriel up to this point has been, essentially, a nameless antagonist - this is the third episode he appeared in, and before this, we didn’t even know he was going by Loki. He was just referred to as ‘The Trickster’. But here, not only do we get a name (a real name at that), but we also get a glimpse of his backstory and a hell of a lot of character development in less than 5 minutes. I mean, Sam didn’t get this much character development throughout the entirety of season 1! There’s a good reason Gabriel has been a fan-favorite for a very long time, and I think a big part of it is this particular scene.
Because here, we get to see Gabriel being vulnerable. And we even see Dean show a little vulnerability, as he can empathize being the third party to explosive arguments between the two people who mean everything to him.
I mean... okay, it will never see the light of day, but I wrote a little bit of a Reverse ‘Verse fic (because I’m a sucker for Reverse ‘Verse) and this was the scene I started with. Not s1e1, not even the resurrection in s4e1, but this scene. Because this scene, more than any other, is critical to the way not only Gabriel’s (first) arc plays out, but also to how Sam and Dean conduct themselves for the rest of the season (and maybe a bit beyond, it’s been a hot minute since I watched s6 and later). Dean is angry but determined, he has a point to make, he is going to save Sammy and if he can’t do that, then he’s going to damn well die trying. But Sam... it’s after this episode that we start really seeing how bone-achingly tired Sam is. It’s after this conversation - where one of the other archangels, one of the few beings who can truly understand how powerful Michael and Lucifer are - says that there’s no other way around this that Sam seems to start inching towards giving in. Saying yes.
Sure, in the actual episode, he seems outraged by the idea, practically scoffs at it - “you want us to say yes to those sons of bitches?” - but it’s after this where Sam really seems run down.
I mean, look at the episodes before and after (HAH you thought I forgot about that first point I made at the very beginning of this post! I did, briefly, but I’ve circled back to it, thanks for being understanding). In “The Curious Case of Dean Winchester,” Sam behaves much as he did since the start of s4, which is to say, ‘annoying little know-it-all brother tossed into the middle of the apocalypse and just trying his best’ and it works well for the mad scramble for any scrap of information that’s happening in s4/early s5.
But in “The Real Ghostbusters” it’s different. This is another funny meta episode - except, while Sam and Dean are technically aware of the joke, they aren’t as amused by it as the audience is. And it’s not because of the ghosts. It’s because they’re just... done. Especially Sam. Dean has that nice little moment with the cosplayers at the end of the episode, but Sam... threatens to shoot Chuck. Sam ‘goes darkside’ more often than pretty much any other character in the show, but that moment is different. It’s a flat promise, not a threat. He’s not being an asshole, like he is after losing his soul. He’s just... done. And it’s obvious to see.
Gabriel’s confession is the turning point for Sam in s5, and it informs a lot of his behavior through the rest of s5, and possibly beyond! Like I said, I haven’t watched past s5 in a very long time, so I don’t feel confident enough to analyze that specific sort of character line, but I feel confident in saying that hearing one of the most powerful beings in the universe basically say “it doesn’t matter what you do - your destiny is unavoidable” and then he’s proven right (Sam says yes to Lucifer, and Dean eventually does say yes to Michael down the line!)... like, that’s really gotta fuck up your world view that was built on free will and throwing off the shackles of fate. Sam managed to avoid his ‘destiny’ in s2... but then it turns out that that wasn’t ever his destiny. Lucifer was his destiny.
Talk about an obscured view of the inner self.

You owe me, Chapter 7
‘At last, a place that isn’t falling apart and has a working toilet.’ Loki said happily while he explored the flat they were staying in for a few nights.
‘And two bedrooms.’ April added.
Her friend was able to put them up in his flat, because he was going away on business for a few days. He was getting one of his friends to sort out ID for them both.
‘I’m going to go get food, what do you want?’ Loki asked as he grabbed some cash from his bag.
‘Pizza would be good.’ April said as she made herself comfy on the sofa and started flicking through the TV channels. ‘Ooo! And get some red wine too.’
‘Wine and pizza. Very classy.’ Loki smirked.
Loki returned not long later, he wasn’t sure why he was surprised when he found April doing some weird yoga positions on the floor. Showing her extreme flexibility that made his cock twitch.
‘Well, isn’t this a rather nice sight.’ He smirked, placing the pizza and wine onto the coffee table.
‘I’m sure it is.’ She then moved into a downward dog.
‘Mmm, that’s my favourite position.’ Loki commented when he sat down and put his feet up, opening the box of pizza and taking a slice. ‘Definitely the one I will take you in first.’
April laughed. ‘Yeah, in your dreams maybe.’
She then rolled to the side and sat down on the floor for a minute, watching him eat. He had a mischievous twinkle in his eye as he looked back at her.
‘Get glasses for the wine.’ He said when she stood up to join him on the sofa.
‘Amateur. Don’t need glasses.’ She scoffed and opened one of the bottles, drinking straight from it.
Loki raised an eyebrow at her and shook his head. ‘You could never sit at the royal table in Asgard.’ He said between bites.
‘Am I not posh enough for you to take home to meet your parents?’ She teased, stealing a slice of his pizza.
Loki said nothing to that, just looked slightly disappointed for some reason to April.
‘Do you miss them?’ She blurted out.
‘Who?’ Loki asked, but he knew exactly who she meant.
‘Your parents.’ She nudged him with her knee.
Loki shrugged. ‘They’re not my real parents… But I do miss Frigga.’
‘So… You’re adopted?’
‘Yes.’
‘Cool.’
‘Cool?’
‘Yeah. I wish I had been adopted. Then I might have at least been with people who cared about me. Had a normal life.’ April said.
‘You didn’t get along with your parents?’ Loki asked, happy she was opening up a bit.
‘No. I got chucked out when I was fifteen.’
‘Why?’
April looked at Loki, he could see a vulnerable look in her eyes. But it disappeared in a flash. She leaned over to the table and grabbed the other bottle of wine and thrust it into his hand.
‘Keep up. Or I’ll drink yours too.’
Loki decided to drop it for now and not push for more answers. He had a feeling he would find out soon enough.
While they drank and ate, they spoke about anything and everything, apart from about themselves. Well, nothing personal anyway.
‘Well, it’s been fun Loks. I’m off to bed.’ April gave him a pat on the arm and chucked the empty pizza box onto the table. ‘Sweet dreams of fucking me.’ She called back as she made her way out of the living room.
Loki chuckled darkly. ‘Trust me, darling. It won’t be a dream.’
He was given the middle finger in return from over her shoulder.
Loki went to bed as well, glad to find it was a really comfortable mattress. When he got settled, he took his cock in hand and stroked himself off until he came with a groan. Oh how he wished he could’ve used April to get off with, but for now his hand and imagination would have to do.
When April got up in the morning, she noticed Loki had left the bathroom door open slightly. She could hear the shower running, so decided to take a peek.
As she peeked into the bathroom, her eyes widened upon seeing Loki in the shower. She knew he was strong, but seeing him naked let her see all those muscles. His thighs looked especially solid. But it was what was hanging between those thighs that had her eyes widening.
‘Holy shit.’ She whispered, surprised at how large of a cock he was packing.
She wondered if that was a God thing or not. She’d certainly never seen one quite like it before. When he turned to switch the shower off, she disappeared quickly back to her room to get dressed.
When Loki was dressed too, he went into the living room to find April eating leftover pizza for breakfast. Wine included.
‘Really?’ He folded his arms over his chest.
‘Waste not, want not.’ She shrugged.
‘It’s not even nine in the morning yet.’
‘Nine in the morning or nine at night, doesn’t matter.’
Loki pinched the bridge of his nose. He did grab a slice of pizza, but he went and got a glass of milk instead of opting for wine. It was too early for that for him.
‘Lightweight.’
‘You wouldn’t last one glass of Asgardian wine. That Midgardian stuff doesn’t even compare in the slightest.’ Loki said cockily.
‘Really?’
‘Yes. I am yet to become truly intoxicated from Midgardian alcohol.’
‘Is everything in your world stronger and bigger?’ She asked as she sat back, finishing the bottle of wine.
‘Of course. We are a race of immortal beings. Gods. We are much more advanced than yourselves in many ways.’ Loki had one more slice of pizza.
‘Is everything bigger?’ April grinned and wiggled her eyes suggestively.
Loki gave her a wolfish grin and winked. ‘Ohh, you already know the answer to that. I know you were peeking in on me this morning.’
For a split-second April looked slightly sheepish, but that look disappeared quickly. ‘You never even looked in my direction! How the hell did you know I was there?’
Loki threw his head back, laughing. ‘I may have lost use of my Seidr, but my senses are still as sharp as ever.’
‘Clearly.’ April rolled her eyes. ‘Don’t get big headed over it. I was curious. And just because you’re packing a large dong, doesn’t mean you know how to use it well.’ She said as she lifted her foot up and nudged his groin with her toes.
‘I can assure you’ Loki grabbed her ankle. ‘I know how to use it.’ Loki said darkly, narrowing his eyes at her.
‘Yeah, course you do.’ She winked at him and yanked her foot out of his grasp.
April’s phone rang, it was on the side table next to Loki. She scooted over and leaned right across Loki’s lap as she stretched out to grab it. Instead of sitting back, she stayed leaning over him while she answered.
Loki rolled his eyes, but couldn’t resist resting his hand on her bum. A mischievous smirk spread across his face at the look she gave him. But while she continued talking to her friend, the friend who’s flat they were in, Loki raised his hand up and brought it down across her ass. Hard.
‘YOU MOTHERRRRFUUUUUUCKER!’ She screamed as the pain scorched through her like nothing she’d felt before. Her phone went flying to the floor.
‘Language.’ Loki tutted and did it again, making her screech loudly. She scrambled off his lap and stood up, quickly rubbing her bum to try and soothe it.
‘What the fuck is up with your swing? How the hell can that hurt so much?’ She was mortified at how bad that stung, yet also how aroused she was almost instantly.
‘As I said earlier, darling. Everything is stronger on Asgard.’ He grinned wickedly, licking his lips. ‘And that was barely me trying.’
‘Fucking hell.’ She shook her head in disbelief.
She grabbed her phone and quickly apologised to her friend, explaining that Loki was being an asshole. While speaking to him, she paced back and fore on front of Loki, still rubbing her poor bum and giving Loki side eye glares.
Loki just sat there watching her with the same grin. Very pleased with himself for getting a reaction like that out of her. He didn’t fail to notice that her nipples had hardened through her top, she’d made the mistake of not wearing a bra.
April was on the phone for a few minutes, then she hung up and put it down.
‘He said his friend is going to meet us this afternoon to take pictures for the IDs. We need to decide on a look we want for them.’ She told Loki.
‘How do we know we can trust this guy?’ Loki asked.
‘Because I trust Josh. He wouldn’t put me in touch with someone he didn’t trust.’
‘Would you have said the same about your previous friend in the Scottish borders?’ Loki raised an eyebrow.
Her head snapped up and she scowled at him. ‘No. I wouldn’t.’
April stormed off to the bathroom. She locked the door and pulled down her shorts and knickers, turning to look at herself in the mirror. She was amazed to see how red her ass was from his hand, from just two smacks.
But when she dipped her hand between her thighs, she had to bite back a moan. She was so turned on.
‘God dammit.’ She mumbled to herself.
She was so riled up, she ended up having a shower purely so she could masturbate. Her thoughts were constantly on Loki and his large hands. The power behind his swing.
She was getting slightly worried about the ways he was making her feel…

You owe me, Chapter 7
TITLE: You owe me CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 7 AUTHOR: fanficshiddles ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine after the battle in New York, Odin sent Loki back to Earth without his powers as punishment. SHIELD are after him and he meets a woman who isn’t all she seems at first and she has her own agenda. The two end up teaming up, to help one another. But it’s not quite as plain sailing as they’d hoped. RATING: M

When Gabriel woke up this time, the first thing he noticed was that his grace was gone again. So much for Chuck feeling sorry for him. The second thing was that he felt, different. Not because of his grace, but something else that he couldn’t quite figure out. Then he saw his surroundings. He was in a small twin bed, with a desk at the foot of it and a set of drawers on the wall across from him. Behind him was a window that let in a bit of the morning light. On the other side of the room Sam was just waking up, his furniture set up the same way. At least they were back together this time.
Sam sat up in his bed yawning and Gabriel got a better look at him. “Aww Sammy,” he said, turning to face him. “You look just like you did the day we met.”
Sam looked confused for a moment, but then his mouth dropped open when he saw Gabriel. “Oh my god Gabe.”
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?” asked Gabriel frantically. Was there something wrong with him?
“You- you’re freaking adorable!” Sam exclaimed, his eyes wide. He jumped out of his bed and rushed to Gabriel.
“Huh?” Sam had started pinching his cheeks, a look of delight on his face.
“Look in the mirror,” he laughed, releasing Gabriel.
He slowly stood up from the bed and walked to the mirror that was hanging on the wall. When he saw his reflection he gasped, reaching a hand up to run across his face. That couldn’t be possible- he was younger!
“This doesn’t make any sense! I don’t even have a real body, I made it,” Gabriel said. As far as he knew, Loki didn’t age either, he just always looked the same.
“Well, we couldn’t be in a college dorm room if we looked like we were in our thirties or forties,” he said, getting up to stand next to Gabriel. “I think I’m about nineteen or twenty, so you must be the same.”
“We’re in college?” he said, looking up at Sam. “Hmm, maybe that won’t be so bad, we can go to a couple of parties.”
Sam chuckled. “I don’t know, I wasn’t really the partying type,” he said, then look of horror came across his face. “Oh shit!”
“What is it?”
“I have a test!” he exclaimed, running back to his bed and grabbing a backpack.
“How do you know?” asked Gabriel as he watched Sam throw stuff inside the bag. They weren’t actually college students, they didn't have a class schedule to follow.
“I just do, okay! I gotta go, I’m gonna be late,” answered Sam, and he ran out of the room, still in his sleeping clothes.
Gabriel watched him leave in disbelief, then shrugged and climbed back into bed. If he had a class to go to, he could care less about it. It was too early in the morning to be up anyway. He fell back into a light sleep.
A little over an hour later, Gabriel woke up to a slightly sweaty and exhausted looking Sam entering the room.
“I gotta take a shower, got all gross running to the test,” he said, throwing his backpack down on the bed.
“Mmm-k,” yawned Gabriel, and rolled over in the bed. He heard Sam leave the room but couldn’t fall back asleep. Apparently he had reached his sleeping limit. Gabriel sat up, rubbing his eyes, then heard a buzzing noise coming from his desk. He crawled across the bed to reach the desk where he saw he had got a text on his phone. Oh, this was interesting- the message was from Dean. Gabriel sent a quick text back, then decided to do some research on this world.
Sam returned from his shower a few minutes later, and Gabriel looked up from his phone and froze. His wet hair framed his face perfectly, and all he wore was a towel wrapped around his waist, showing off those defined abs. Gabriel couldn’t take his eyes off of him.
Sam reached in a drawer to get his clothes, then turned to Gabriel. “Have you moved at all today?”
Gabriel quickly averted his eyes. “Uh, of course I have! What, you’d think I’d lay in bed all day?” he answered, a blush crawling up his face.
Sam raised an eyebrow at him, then broke out into a huge grin. “Are you shy, Gabe?”
Gabriel threw his arms up with a frustrated 'ugh'. “The longer this keeps happening, the easier it is to slip into whatever part we’re supposed to playing!” he shouted, then pointed a finger at Sam. “Look at you! You just ran off to take a test for no reason!”
“You have a point,” Sam sighed, then he grinned. ‘I’ll change in the bathroom then so you don’t have to worry about your hormones.”
“Shut up,” Gabriel groaned, falling back on his bed. Sam laughed as he went to change.
Twenty minutes later, Gabriel found himself sitting inside a dining hall with Sam for lunch. Sam had made a trip to the salad bar and returned with an impressive mound of greens on his plate, while Gabriel had opted for the dessert section. He chose a couple slices of cake along with multiple cookies for his meal.
“Oh, I forgot to tell you,” Gabriel said in between bites of cookie. “I’m in a band.”
“Really? How’d you figure that out?” Sam asked, curious.
“I got a text message from this world’s Dean while you were in the shower, reminding me to show up for practice before our gig tonight. Dean’s the lead singer and guitarist.”
“That’s interesting,” Sam commented, stabbing at his salad. “What do you play?”
“I play bass,” he said, then at seeing Sam’s raised eyebrows continued, “Chicks love bass players!”
Sam snorted. “Sure.”
“That’s not all though. The drummer? It’s Crowley. And Charlie plays the keyboard.” Gabriel knew Crowley- they had crossed paths a couple of times, but that was it. They were more acquaintances than anything. And Charlie he had only briefly seen in the apocalypse world- he had never met their Charlie. Band practice would be interesting.
“Ok, that’s weird,” Sam frowned. “Also, can you even play bass?”
“What do you take me for Sam? Of course I can! There’s not an instrument out there I can’t play,” Gabriel answered with his mouth full of cake.
“Of course,” said Sam, eyeing Gabriel’s mouth disapprovingly. He then looked down at his phone. “I gotta go to my afternoon classes soon.”
“Why are you going to class?” Gabriel asked, waving his fork around. “We’ll only be here for one day.”
“Why are you going to band practice?” he shot back.
“Touché. See you at the show tonight?”
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Sam replied with a grin, then left the table, taking his empty salad plate with him.
Gabriel finished his lunch, then decided to go back to the dorm room. He told Sam that he could play bass, but he wanted to make sure he still had the skill. When he got to the room, he found the bass guitar and a small amplifier under his bed. Plugging it in, he gave a few experimental plucks on the string, then went straight into a bass line. It came to him easier than he thought it would. Tonight would be no problem. He messed around a bit, playing a few songs, until it was time to meet with the rest of the band.
They met at Crowley's apartment, and managed to practice one song before quitting to play videogames and drink beer. Gabriel found that he really enjoyed their company. This Dean was a lot like his Dean, only younger and less tired. Charlie was bright and funny, and Gabriel would have to seek her out if they got back to their world. And Crowley, he was quiet, but would chime in one a bit of sarcastic humor every once in a while that would get everyone rolling.
Partway through practice, Gabriel’s phone rang. “Hello, Sam,” he answered. “How was class?”
Dean rolled his eyes and Charlie winked at him.
“It was good,” came Sam’s voice through the phone. “Biology was actually really interesting. How’s band practice?”
“Awesome! Remember to come to the show tonight, alright? Six o’clock sharp at the Student Union.” Gabriel wasn’t sure why he was so concerned about Sam being at the concert. All he knew was that he had a feeling that he needed Sam to show up.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be there,” Sam assured.
They said their goodbyes, and Gabriel got back to “practice”. The rest went by in a flash, and it was finally time for the show. Gabriel didn’t even know what songs they were playing, but he figured he would get by just fine.
“You still wanna sing your song?” Dean asked Gabriel backstage.
He was singing a song? Well, there was nothing to lose. Gabriel wondered how Sam would react. “Of course!” he answered Dean, who gave him a thumbs up.
Then it was time. They ran out on stage to applause, not too much, but Gabriel figured it was more than average for a band playing at the Student Union. Gabriel searched the crowd and was relieved to find Sam watching them.
“Hello Stanford! We’re the Impalas! Are you ready to rock?” Dean yelled through the microphone. The crowd cheered, and the band started their first song.
They played mostly classic rock, which Gabriel should have expected. Thankfully they had a set list taped to the ground so he could see what the next song was. He found himself enjoying playing the bass and getting into the music. Every once in a while he would look at Sam, who also seemed to be enjoying himself, and would sing along with some songs.
“Alright, next Gabriel is gonna take over the mic,” Dean announced about five songs in. He switched places with Gabriel and gave him a smile, and Charlie whooped from the keyboard.
For some reason, Gabriel felt that this moment was important- really important. Like something he had been planning for months, even though he had only been here for a few hours. He stepped up to the microphone and caught Sam’s eyes in the crowd, winking at him. Sam laughed, and gave him a wave back.
Then he looked at the set list to see what exactly he was singing. Shit shit shit. Of course it would be that fucking song. He tried to see if he could get them to stop, but it was too late. Crowley counted them off, and Dean started the guitar riff. Gabriel had no choice but to sing.
I never meant to be so bad to you
One thing I said that I would never do
A look from you and I would fall from grace
And that would wipe this smile right from my face
Gabriel kept singing, but couldn’t bring himself to look at Sam. He knew that Sam hated that song, and he hated what he did to Sam. Hopefully Sam would understand that the song was a mistake. There was no way he would have sung if he knew what is was. The song ended, and the rest of the show went by smoothly, except for the apprehension Gabriel felt after singing.
“Great job everyone,” Dean said as they went backstage, slapping Gabriel on the back.
“Woo! We were awesome tonight!” exclaimed Charlie.
“Haha, yeah,” said Gabriel. Then he saw Sam walk into the room.
“Hey Sammy!” greeted Dean.
“Hi Dean,” he replied with a smile.
Charlie grabbed on to Dean’s arm, pulling him away. “We’re just gonna, get ready for the after party.” They left the room, Crowley following them out with a small wave, and Gabriel was left alone with Sam.
“Sam, I’m sorry,” said Gabriel, walking up to Sam.
“For what? That was amazing,” Sam replied with a chuckle.
“For the song,” he said, frowning.
Sam shook his head. “That? I don’t care Gabriel, I’ve already forgiven you, remember? Besides, I listened to the words, it’s ok.”
Gabriel let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you,” he said, and gave Sam a hug. Then he realized something, and pulled away.
Sam gave him a questioning look. “What?”
“I don’t know what’s happening Sam,” Gabriel started, trying to put what he was feeling into words. “Today, and when I saw you in the crowd, it's like- it’s like I’m falling for you all over again.”
Sam smiled softly. “And what’s wrong with that? Sounds pretty romantic to me.”
“No, that’s not it,” Gabriel said, his voice starting to become panicked. “Everyday we just, fall into these different roles. What if we forget who we are and lose ourselves in these worlds, becoming whatever character we’re supposed to be?”
“Gabe…” Sam’s smile faltered, but quickly returned. He took Gabriel’s face in his hands, rubbing his thumbs across his cheeks. “That’s not going to happen, ok? We won’t forget where we came from, I promise.”
Gabriel nodded, and Sam lowered his head to gently kiss him. Then the world faded into black around them.

THINGS I LOVED ABOUT AVENGERS ENDGAME
SPOILERS.
Based on the amazing post by @saieras (21 things I loved about endgame), anything pushed by blockquotes (the little line on the left), and some of the titles, come directly from said post --DISCLAIMER -- and means I agree completely.
1. THE FIRST 20 MINUTES
Expectations? Chuck them out the window. They weren’t kidding when they said all promotional material came from the first 20 mins!!! I loved how they got right into the thick of things, cameras blazing, completely no nonsense. And CAROL omg. Also I did NOT expect Thanos’ death to be, Just Like That.
CAROL, again.
2. THE TIME JUMP
Very, very smart move. I liked everything about the time jump. It lets us view the event with a lens of a world shattered, a world that has had the chance to come to its senses and reel from the catastrophe.
3. TONY CONFRONTS STEVE
I have firmly been Team Iron Man since Civil War, and Tony is my favourite character (I am not okay), so suffice to say that I loved how, even weakened with malnourishment, he got in Steve’s face, and everything he said.
4. THE LANGS
Just. Every joke he made. Fantastic. But also I did not expect to shed my first tear at his and Cassie’s reunion. That was great.
5. DOMESTIC TONY
Tony and Morgan. Such a real, cute father-daughter relationship. ‘Mommy send me to rescue you’ and ‘Love you three thousand’ filled my heart with joy.
6. INTERN
Tony and Peter’s photo (...)  AND THAT PHOTO WAS HIS. In HIS HOUSE. FRAMED. I REALLY wish we got more but that moment was very powerful. Still, I was unsatisfied. I wanted Tony to cry. I wanted Morgan to also know about Peter. Basically I want more canonical proof of Irondad Spiderson. Like, listen, this is the one loss that haunts Tony to this day. Peter’s death was the kind of pain that made Tony terrified of going again, for fear of losing Morgan
7. THE NYC SCENE
ALL of it. From Tony the security guard, to him talking shit about his own deodorant, to him giving himself a cardiac arrest to cause a diversion and being like this is fine, nothing to see here. And Hulk vs stairs. And STEEB. OMG STEEB. “Hail Hydra.“ “I’ve got visuals on Loki.” “I can do this all da–“ “Yeah. I know. I know.“
“Bucky… Is… ALIVE“
And butt jokes. So many Steve buttjokes. I don’t ship stony, but that is the closest y’all will get to a stony suggestive scene.
ALSO LOKI just yeeting himself outta there. That’s ma boi!
8. FRIGGA AND THOR
Nuff said. Mama Frigga is the best.
9. TONY AND HOWARD
It’s really great how adorable Tony was throughout this scene. And… while Howard was NOT redeemed, it’s nice to know he did love his son. And it’s great that Tony got some closure.
10. PEGGY AND STEVE
Out of the Big Three’s scenes with their “significant past people”, this one was the least impactful for me, as they didn’t even talk, BUT in retrospect it set the scene for later perfectly.
Also because I don’t much care for Steve.
11. GAMORA
This is GREAT and showcases her character very well, who she really is despite who Thanos raised her to be.
True, the minute she realizes Thanos’ plan is to wipe out half the universe, she is so clearly appalled (I don’t think she really knew what he planned for after he gathered all stones), and immediately starts to reconsider her position on the whole thing.
12. CLINT AND NATASHA
Their friendship was on full display during this film. Their scenes. And how it was all platonic. The entire audience knew, as soon as they landed on Vormir, that one of them wasn’t going to make it.
- I knew it would be Natasha , though, Clint and his family, and Natasha and her whole “I need redemption, I’m still trying to be a better person” -
Back to the Vormir scene: it was amazing, and heartbreaking, the lengths they were willing to go to make sure they were the sacrifice, like, how they were willing to injure if it meant the other were alive at the end. Clint and Natasha were never my favourites (except around Avengers), but I will forever applaud Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner for their outstanding performance.
13. THE BIG THREE FIGHT THANOS
Thor’s lightning and Tony’s Iron Man tech combining to kick purple ass, all of three of them holding the titan back while the others tried to crawl out of the rubble. Still, the “big three fight” was mainly focused on Steve, in my opinion.
Like previously stated, I’m not a greeeat Steve fan, but even I have to admit that Mjölnir zapping to his hand at that precise moment was awesome. I cheered right along with everyone else. Which also justifies Thor grabbing it along from the past and possibly, maybe, most likely, leaving his past-self without it?
Anyways, cue tears at each shard of the shield.
14. THE ENTRANCE OF THE HEROES
If I was crying before, the moment that Sam hails Steve, and Shuri, Okoye and T’Challa walk through that first portal I was outright sobbing.
Words don’t do justice to the emotion I felt at seeing ALL my heroes assemble for the last time. At each new face I cried harder. They didn’t forget anyone and that made me so fucking happy.
I felt as if I could climb into the screen and fight alongside them, I felt powerful enough and fired up enough to do it too. And that’s the magic of that scene, thank you cast and crew. Thank you MARVEL for the incredible build up, I thought it was worth it.
15. PETER AND TONY
How Peter goes straight for Tony and cute rambling mode is already turned on, but Tony can’t even speak, and just falls into the hug in a parallel of their “hug” in Infinity War.
“Oh, this is nice!”
The moment is essencial since Peter, and not really any of the other tens of trillions* that vanished in the snap, is the reason Tony embarks in the time travel venture, even when it could’ve cost him so much. So it validates his choice, besides his being, you know, a true hero.
16. CAROL’S ENTRANCE
I missed her in this movie. I mean, I thought she would be in almost every shot, but maybe that was just because I think she’s fantastic. Her entrance, tho.
“What are they shooting at?” “Something just entered the atmosphere”
And then blast! Singlehandedly destroying the mothership (Thanos’ looks so fucking offended and we can see any conviction of victory waning from his expression), and kicking some ass. Way to establish dominance early on girl!
I mean, I played with the idea of Infinity-War-Thor being equal to Carol, (and maybe, maybe, he could’ve come a close) but now? She’s so clearly in another level... No words except: goddess.
17. PETER IN THE BATTLE + CAROL
Instant kill mode
So proud of him. The way he flips in, and is instantly like Woah this is a Big Fight!!
“Hey Peter Parker. Got something for me?”
CAROL. CArol listen. You are his mom now. That’s how it works with that damn kid. (...) It be like that sometimes.
I don’t think Carol would ever be around enough for anything close to parental relationship (plus, May is Peter’s mom), but that boy will worship the hero-shit out of Captain Marvel.
18. MARVEL’S HEROINES
If my crying had eased a bit from the general assemble moment, I fucking cracked again here. They are so tough, and powerful, and beautiful.
As a woman, it was so damn empowering and important to see all of them up there, together, each with their own background and their own strengths. I love how we had all kinds of women - warriors, mothers, princesses, generals, wives, captains, businesswomen, scientists, girlfriends, assasins, friends, witches - and all of them fighters.
I also can’t wait for the gifset and the final still - it’s gonna be my background for about everything.
Also RESCUE. OMG. PEPP. And the battlefield fighting side by side with Tony.
19. TONY’S SEND OFF
His death. I was glad Pepper was the last one there, to tell him it’s okay, they’ll be fine, he can let go.
AND PETER. Peter was there, trying to talk to him, sobbing and breaking down. This is what I wanted, going in, if Tony were to die. And this is what I got. You just know this is going to haunt him in FFH.
And Tony himself. His immense sacrifice, the moment he knew what he had to do, the moment Strange held up that finger. One way. UGH.
Of course I knew Natasha wouldn’d be the only one to die, but damn, I’m still feeling the hole his amazing fictional character left/ is going to leave in my life. Literally the only one (Peter was of course safe with Far From Home around the corner) I didn’t want to die. I loved him before my heart was inflated with Stark-family feels.
The lake house was so peaceful and I loved how it showed that after all his trouble, his PTSD, Tony had found a home and a family (even if somethings haunted him).
The picture, and how devastated Peter is can only mean that between Homecoming and Infinity War they grew closer, which had always been what I wanted. But I wanted to see it! Fanfiction will have to continued to lull my pain, I guess.
Speaking of fanfiction, Harley being at the funeral is all the proof my little fanheart needs to claim they’ve not only been in contact through the years, but had a mentor/parental relationship as well.
The question for me now is: how well do the boys know each other?
20. AND FINALLY, TONY. RDJ.
Thank you. Beyond all words, Thank you.
This has been one hell of a ride.
FOREVER IRON MAN

Surprise visit (Chapter one of this fanfiction)
This is going to be a series. It’s a fanfiction which contains different fandoms (Sherlock, Supernatural, Marvel, Shadowhunters, Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase, also contains some actors or singers, as well as the Cullen Family and the werewolves of Twilight)
Introduction: Thalia Cooper is the daughter of Loki and Chuck Shurley/God. When she was little she thought that she’s the daughter of Zeus, that’s why she is familiar with Camp Half Blood. Her Cousin Alex (daughter of Hela and Lucifer, who used Tony Stark as a vessel) is also her best friend and is a werewolf of the Quileute pack (her mother gave her those abilities). Thalia is the adopted daughter of Steve Rogers/Captain America, because she found out who her real dads are when she was 17. Her godfathers are the doctor and Magnus Bane. That’s why she knows Jace, Alec and Isabelle since she was 9. They are currently helping her train the abilities she got because of Chuck. When she was little, Thalia spent a lot of time with the Cullen Family and with her soulmate. Dean Winchester is Alex’ soulmate and Sam Winchester Thalias. But it’s not a romantic relationship. They also got guardian angels: Castiel is the guardian angel of Thalia and Balthazar is the guardian angel of Alex. Thalia and Sam study in London and live in 221 B with Sherlock Holmes. Alex lives in New York. Both of them have a best friend called Harper. She joins them on their adventures and she’s a jumper, which means that she can teleport to any place she wants to. Currently Amara is free andwants to see Thalia and Alex dead. Because of that Jaspers trains some of their friends and the werewolves.
It was 7 am when she woke up because of her annoying alarm clock. She got up and dressed herself before she walked into the kitchen. On the kitchen table were various preparations of different experiments of her flat mate.
“Sherlock could you please put away your stuff so I can at least eat my breakfast at this table?” She knew that he wouldn’t do it anyway, but she never gave up.
“That’s not just regular stuff. It’s important experimental stuff.” Sam joked when he entered the kitchen. “Where is the owner of the stuff?” He asked.
“Don’t know. Maybe he sleeps cause he was awake the whole night.” Thalia made herself some breakfast and made some tea for Sam and herself. They ate quietly. Then Sam got up and started cleaning the dishes.
“We should get going in 10 minutes or else we’ll be late for University.”
Thalia looked at the clock. Sam was right. She stood up and walked to her room, grabbing her bag. She walked back into the kitchen and waited for Sam. Suddenly a big portal appeared. Of course she knew who would walk out of it.
“You know you could just call.” She smiled and hugged her godfather. “Great to see you Magnus.”
“Great to see you too, biscuit.” She loved this nickname.
“Why are you here?” He hadn’t announced that he was going to visit so Thalia was a little surprised. She could tell that Sam was too by the look of his face when he entered the room.
“Well I have some bad news to be honest. You might want to sit down.” They sat down on the couch and Sherlock appeared in the door looking suspicious.
“They asked me to tell you what happened.”
“Who asked you to tell me?” Thalia was curious and a little frightened.
“Well your uncle Thor did...he...he wanted me to tell you that your father has gone missing and Thor thinks that it might has something to do with Amara.” Magnus looked at Thalia with a serious look on his face. “You will need more protection.”
“I will need to find my father. I can protect myself and I have Sam.” Thalia was furious. Her father was missing and her crazy aunt was going wild and might had something to do with it. She needed to contact Chuck but she also knew he won’t help. The story of her dads was some kind of drama and they weren’t talking to each other. But even if he wouldn’t help she had to find someone who would. “I’m gonna call Jace.”
“He knows about everything. He told me to ask you if you want to come to New York. You Sam and Sherlock could live in my apartment. It will be more safe than alone here in London.” Magnus was worried about Thalia. She was in great danger. And Sam and Sherlock too because they were always with her.
“We can’t just leave. I’m studying and Sam is too.”
“Thalia that’s not important. We could take a break.” Sam knew that they had to go. Magnus was right, it really was dangerous. They needed to go as soon as possible and they would need any help they got to find Loki.
Thalia looked at them. Then she looked at Sherlock. He nodded his head reassuringly. She knew that they were right. She just didn’t want to leave. She loved London and all she wanted was to live a normal life, but that would have to wait.

The Sound of Silence
TITLE: The Sound of Silence CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 43/47 AUTHOR: nekoamamori ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine you are mute, and Loki comes to Avengers tower for the first time. Loki asks you a question and you answer through sign language. Loki looks at you crazy and thinks your making fun of him, he starts yelling saying that you should respect him since he’s a god and prince.  RATING: T+ NOTES/WARNINGS: Also on AO3 Click here
You had meant to stay out of trouble, really, you had.
[How long will the workmen be here?] you asked Tony after Thor had left.
“Two days,” he replied and handed you a box. You nodded and stood on your toes to kiss Loki’s cheek before you headed back upstairs to throw some clothes and stuff you didn’t want to get hurt by the workmen. There wasn’t a lot you needed for just a couple of days, so the task didn’t take very long. You grinned when you walked across the hall and saw that Loki had left one of his dresser drawers open and completely empty. He’d emptied it out for you. Thoughtful husband. You put the clothes away and set Lokibear safely on top of the dresser with the bear you’d given him, and then went to return to your activity of reading on the couch in the living room with your Loki.
    *
“Kid, can you go help Bruce in the lab?” Tony asked later that afternoon. You looked up at him confused as you shut your book.
[I know nothing about the lab] you reminded him.
“Bruce will walk you through whatever it is he needs,” Tony added. You shrugged and shut your book, wondering what he was up to. You started to take Loki’s hand to bring him with you, but Tony and Cap wanted him to stay. Ah, that was probably whatever this was about. So you headed down to the lab to see what bullshit excuse Bruce had come up with for you being there.
“Hey, Y/N,” Bruce said when he let you into the locked lab.
[What’s going on?] you asked when you stepped inside.
“Cap and Tony want us out of the way when the workers arrive,” he explained. “The Hulk doesn’t like intruders in his house and the press doesn’t know you’ve lost your powers so the team doesn’t want to take any chances with your safety. So you’re stuck down here with me until the main floor is clear of strangers,”
You huffed and rolled your eyes. This seemed like awful planning. Bruce smiled. “I really could use a hand, though, if you’re up to it?” You nodded and dove into helping him with whatever experiment he was working on. It wasn’t bad work, but definitely not your cup of tea when you didn’t understand a thing that was going on.
“Doctor Banner, Mr. Stark wished for me to inform you that the main floor of the tower is clear. The workers are currently working on Miss Y/N’s room,”
“Thank you, Jarvis,” Bruce told the AI. He turned to you. “You’re free to go, Y/N,” he told you with a small smile. He had a soft spot for you since the Hulk liked you so much. You stuck your tongue out at him, but nodded and left the lab to get to more enjoyable activities. You thought kicking Loki’s ass at video games sounded much more enjoyable.
“What did Doctor Banner need?” Loki asked too innocently when you returned to the living room.
[Like you don’t know that we were chucked into the lab for safety] you told him. He gave you an innocent look.
“My lady wounds me with her words,”
“Drop the innocent act, loverboy, like you weren’t intimidating every worker who passed through here and pleased as all getout that Y/N was safely away from where they’d be,” Nat replied. You grinned at her and offered her a controller. “Thanks, but Clint and I have to go out for a little bit. Keep your husband from killing the workers, ok?” You nodded and passed Loki a controller so you could play video games with him.
    *
You were already yawning your way through dinner and kissed Loki’s cheek once you had finished eating. [I’m for bed. Healing Asgardians are sleepy creatures] He chuckled and stood. [There is no way you’re tired] you reminded him, perfectly capable of walking to bed alone.
“There are strangers in the tower. I’m walking you to bed,” he told you firmly. You huffed at your silly overprotective husband, but wouldn’t argue with him on this point. You’d been abducted from under his nose once for your powers. That threat was still very much at the front of his mind, even when you didn’t have your powers anymore. The public didn’t know that, so the bad guys wouldn’t know your powers were gone either.
So you let him walk you back upstairs to his room. You didn’t really think anything of it, or the noises of the workers from your room, until one of them walked out of your room to get something from the supplies in the hall, stepping directly in front of the pair of you. Loki snarled, shoved you behind him and summoned two daggers all in one move.
“Oh shit,” the worker said and did probably the smartest thing he would do and raised his hand in surrender, dropping whatever it was he had come out here for. “Mr. Loki,” he said too politely, but didn’t dare move further. The god was enraged by this man’s very presence. And Loki still saw him as a threat, specifically to your safety. You grabbed Loki’s arm, felt his muscles bunch to lunge at the man. You weren’t physically stronger than him and without your powers you couldn’t keep him from killing the man just for being a stranger and existing in your hallway. Shitshitshit. Nor could you call for help. He was too blinded by rage and fear for you to let you talk him down from it either.
You wished more than anything that you were out of this hallway. You wrapped your arms firmly around Loki’s arm and planted your feet, drawing a second while you prayed for some inspiration on how to fix this. For some reason, you thought of Worthington the bear. He wasn’t useful here. But could magic be? No, that was ridiculous. You’d used magic once and barely had an idea of how it worked. And yet. You needed to get Loki out of here.
    Now.
So you concentrated, feeling for the same power that had summoned the bear and wished more than anything to be safely back down in the living room, imagining the living room in all it’s detail, and especially your couch. The air around you shimmered and you swayed, falling into Loki as he whirled to catch you. “Y/N!’ he exclaimed, dropping the daggers to hold you on your feet. You were in the living room standing in front of your couch.
“What’s going on?” Cap demanded as he and the others rushed over. “You said you were taking her to bed,”
Loki helped you sit on the couch. “Foolish love, that is way too big of a magic for someone just learning,” he told you, but his voice was kind and proud and he kissed you.
You snapped to get Jarvis’ attention and signed quickly, letting Jarvis translate your words for the others. “A worker came out into the hall,” it was still strange hearing Jarvis speak your signs. “Loki nearly stabbed him, so I brought us back down here,”
“Tattletale,” Loki told you warmly, and kissed your forehead. “Lie down, dearest. That was way too large of a magic for just your second time using Asgardian magic.” You looked up at him stupidly. He sighed and laid you down on the couch before you fell over, dizzy and giddy from using magic. Power still seemed to shimmer around you and you fought not to giggle at the feeling. “Breathe,” he told you gently, kindly, you could hear the hint of amusement.
“Of course, overprotective Asgardians,” Nat sighed. Apparently she had come home from whatever mission she had been on. “We’re dumb and should have known that with your wife injured and without her…original powers you’d be…antsy… about her safety.” The rest of the team agreed that they’d been dumb and looked relieved that all of the workers were still alive.
“What’s wrong with the kid?” Tony asked instead of admitting that letting workers on the floor of the tower with the dangerous god and his wife was probably not the wisest decision ever.
“She has gotten Asgardian magic since she became Asgardian,” Loki explained as he brushed your hair back away from your face. “And has used her powers all of once since we found out she has magic. Teleporting two people is a large spell, especially for a novice, and she is… high? is the proper term? from drawing too much power. She’ll be alright in a minute,” Loki explained. “Stop that,” he scolded you lightly when he caught you raising your hand to watch the power swirl as you moved your hand. His voice was amused, though.
“Maybe we should come up with different sleeping arrangements until the workers are done with your apartment,” Cap suggested, looking to Tony. This was his tower and arrangements were his jurisdiction.
Tony was pulling up a screen. “Wish we could just chuck you two into a hotel until the renovations were done,” he grumbled.
“I see no problems with that,” Loki replied with a mischievous smirk.
Tony scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Your brother grounded you, remember? So we have to put up with the angry god trying to kill the workers until he gets back from his pleasure jaunt to Asgard.” You all knew that Thor was working while he was gone and not at all enjoying his discussions with Odin.
Nat scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Morons, the lot of you. Loki, just steal Thor’s room until the renovations are done. He’s off world and not using it and his room is two floors up from yours, so you won’t see the workers and they’ll have no access to that floor, so Y/N will be safe,”
Loki smiled at her. “Excellent idea, Lady Natasha,” he told her warmly, earning a surprised look from everyone. He scooped you up into his arms. “Come on, love, you need to rest.” The air shimmered around you again and you reappeared in Thor’s room.
[Thor won’t mind?] you asked, exhausted now that you were coming down from your high. Loki tucked you safely in Thor’s bed and it was a chore to keep your eyes open.
“No, dearest, he won’t, not at all. Now get some rest, that was an awful lot of magic you used. I promise I won’t kill the workers as long as you are safe, my love,”
You reached up and touched his cheek. /I love you/ you managed to tell him mind-to-mind, though you didn’t know how you knew how to do it.
He smiled brightly, but with tears of joy in his eyes. He leaned down to kiss you and couldn’t keep the joy and excitement from his lips on your either. “I love you more than anything. Oh how I’ve missed your voice, my darling,” you smiled at his obvious and infectious joy. “But that is quite enough magic out of you today, dearest. I’ll start teaching you properly tomorrow.” He kissed your forehead and you finally closed your eyes to get some much needed rest.
