The great thing about pokemon cards is that if you're showing them to someone who doesn't like/care/or know about them you can just say "the contents of this binder are potentially worth hundreds of dollars" and now they are suddenly interested. They don't gotta know that I just love the little pictures and like filling in catalogues.

Nyarth predicting the rest of the series fr

I don't really have much to say about this ep/s as it isn't too different from dub (though we lost 'it's a tentacruel world' rip), and I'm behind writing about these lol, but I need to keep a metaphorical/they-should've-died counter somewhere. Also the amount of times they dug a pithole. Feel free to give me recs for other things I should count, because I need to make this rewatch as fun as possible so I don't drop out halfway.

Also might be a bit early but I'm really interested in the way Misty/Kasumi is a lot more vocal about the way she views herself (as cute/pretty). I don't think that was very prominent in dub, to be honest. Too much snarking and not doing much else (probably leaning more to that nagging/flat narrative). Also they way she calls out her Pokemon by saying, "Go, my steady" is also something of note bc a) didn't happen in the original series and b) the only time I heard it in dub is in Mezase and maybe SUMO. I just love her spoiling herself, like go girl! Make yourself a legend your own way!

It also lends itself well for when she does get into other things, like calling all Water-Types beautiful and trying to save the reputation of the Tentacruel/Tentacool. Like now it's no longer restricted to herself, y'know? She can give love freely. And when she tells the others to help, it's getting them to care as well and see another side to her. I love character building, and while I love the dub as well, it doesn't do as much with it. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention as much hmm.

Bonus: Satoshi down for murdering TR… I think. Maybe he’s taking about the jellyfish?? Anyways look at his sad wet cat face, he is NOT having it lol (apparently I need a count for that too lol, because it's not the first time he pulls this off).
