Our firstborn #ZyonYeoh is now officially #6years old! He’s been talking about his birthday to everyone, all year — and it’s finally happened, while we’re on a holiday trip; just the way he likes it — with lots of good friends and family, and a #NinjaTurtles theme! This is our lively, high energy, deeply passionate, outrageously expressive little man! He’s also grown in intelligence and maturity and knows a lot than @j4yloh and I combined when we were his age, and sometimes says the earnest things (follow #ChroniclesOfZyonYeoh on Facebook/Twitter for some of his famous sayings) @zyonyeoh - Mommy and Daddy love you to bits! We’ll always give you our best and we’ll always cheer you on and help you be all you can be! #theyeohs #andynjay #theyeohsiblings #zyrayeoh https://www.instagram.com/p/CYHJbFwp5H3/?utm_medium=tumblr

#ChroniclesofZyonYeoh #ZyonSays AUG 15, 2020 4 Years 7 Months+ Just a few nights ago, I started a new way of doing devotions with #ZyonYeoh before he sleeps. He would choose a Bible story, of which I will read to him. Then, he is suppose to ask (at least) any 3 questions about the story we just read. I wanted to encourage more active involvement and participation from him. Also, I think him asking questions also means he’s thinking -- which I believe is good. Last night, we read about Peter. He asked: 1. Why did the disciples think Jesus was a ghost? 2. Why did Peter sink? 3. Why did Jesus not sink? Tonight, we read about Jonah and he decided to ask 4 questions: 1. How come the storm stopped when they threw Jonah into the water? 2. Why did Jonah run away and not go to where God asked him to, to Nineveh? 3. (After I told him that we can try but we can’t really run away from God) Why can’t we run away from God? So I said because God is everywhere. And he asked, “You mean there are many, many gods?” I said, “No, there is only one God and His name is Jesus.” And he said, “Oh. He’s the leader of all the gods?” (Lord, help me answer! 😅) 4. Why is the fish not big, only medium big? (This is because in the illustration inside his children’s bible, Jonah and the fish was about the same size 😅) To be honest, I am really enjoying devotion time with my son and all his questions. They are so innocent yet so deep, really. Figuring out how to answer him is a good challenge for me. And a good challenge always has the potential to help us grow -- should we respond in the right way 😊 https://www.instagram.com/p/CD6leSEJpg8/?igshid=dsbsvja1k1ag
