okay so hear me out.........chronance who all work at a summer resort.....

Forget all of the tears that you've cried It's over (over, over, over) It's a new state of mind Are you coming, my baby?

they're all trying to escape a bad breakup from back home. figured working at a summer getaway would mend their spirits. until robin can't stand to clean another pool. until nancy can't stand to serve one more rich asshole. until chrissy can't stand to make another pina colada.

they meet in the breakroom, bitching about how gross and awful customers are. they soon become a lil inseparable trio. spending their days leaving each other little notes, setting aside drinks and food for each other, texting in their group chat whenever they get a spare second to get their phones out. maybe a little harmless flirting. maybe.

"we're going to the beach tonight. after our shifts. i'm demanding it now, we deserve it." robin texts.

"chrissy, could you sneak us a six pack?" nancy texts.

"only if you get us some jumbo nachos" chrissy texts.

"what is robin's contribution?" nancy texts.

"my sparkling personality, obviously." robin texts.

they all meet at sunset on the beach with their drinks and snacks, all dressed in their bikinis. they manage to get access to the resort's campfire. when they slowly relax and start opening up, they all realize that they're all escaping breakups. they start walking each other through what went wrong. a few tears shed along the way.

"i just don't understand why this keeps happening," chrissy sniffles. "the right person has to be out there, right?"

"it's just...it all feels wrong," nancy adds.

"it shouldn't be so much work, you know? it should be fun at the end of the day." robin says.

"i have a lot of fun with you guys," chrissy says, quietly.

the three of them look between each other, slowly calculating. not wanting to say it out loud because the three of them? that would be silly.....right.......

they go swimming at some point, laughing and splashing in the water. they keep wading closer to each other, touches getting more brave. they feel so light and free. something none of them have felt in ages.

robin sneaks behind the coincerage desk and gets a room key, breaking into a resort room so they don't have to go back to the employee bunks. the tension is papable at this point but neither knows how to actually get anything started. until the three of them mention needing to shower the salt water off their bodies...

nancy walks toward the bathroom door, back turned to them as she takes off her bikini top. she glances over her shoulder and says, "are you coming or what?"

“How do you do it?” Chrissy asks, voice soft again. “Keep living through the grief?”

Nancy’s quiet for a little while, staring at the grave. Then, “It’s all you can do. You grieve and you live in spite of it.” She turns back to Chrissy, meeting her eyes. “It hurts. And it’ll always hurt, I think, even when it hurts less. I think that’s how love leaves its mark on you.”

if chrissy survived headcanons!

(disclaimer these are headcanons not what i think would’ve happened)

okay so i spent like an hour last night doodling ideas so… here it goes

(this is kinda long so hcs under cut)

she was basically saved from vecna by chance. when she go to eddie’s trailer, he turned on the radio and her fav song played during her vecna-ing. her arm is still broken tho. (it’s broken for the whole season)

eddie, since it’s essential to his arc, still runs away from the trailer after that

jason notices her broken arm and asks her what happened. she doesn’t tell him but he finds out she went to eddie’s trailer and assumes it was him

things get worse when jasons’s friend dies by vecna alone (in the place of chrissy, basically) and eddie is nowhere to be found. jason continues to assume it’s eddie and his whole arc is sparked by that

chirsys tries to get him to stop but he doesn’t believe her when she says it wasn’t eddie

chrissy finds dustin and asks him if he knows where eddie is (she saw them hanging out or smth, idk)

they find eddie together and she convinces him to listen to everyone

she ends up staying with eddie in the shed and we don’t see her till she and eddie are escaping

she and eddie have some scenes together, nothing romantic

when jason finds eddie, chrissys in the boat with him. jason brought someone else with him to confront eddie, and they end up dying (it’s a pretty weak plot point, i know, but it’s all i could come up with)

chrissy and eddie steal a walkie talkie to talk to everyone else and they hide out at the rock

they have a small sweet moment where eddie asks what she saw in vecnas visions and she ends up admitting she’s a lesbian and vecna was also sending her haunting dreams about that. yes that is my headcanon and it is my au so shush.

eddie is ofc very supportive <3

she jumps into the upside down with the older kids, after robin before eddie

after going into the upside down, during the fight with the monsters, a demobat grabs her hair and someone with an oar beats it to death. but now there’s a dead animal tangled in her hair so she ends up chopping some of it off with a knife found in the upside down wheelers. (short haired chrissy is one of my favorite headcanons leave me alone)

when they get back to the regular world eddie gives her a proper haircut before the final battle

reminder that her arms still in a cast btw

to resolve her jason arc she ends up confronting him before he can reach lucas or erica and knocks him out. that way that arc is fulfilled and the two black characters don’t get beat up by the white bully <3

jason still dies

at the end of the season, she’s seen comforting dustin after his talk with wayne. they have a nice little hug and cry :(

bc it’s still my au it’s chrissy not vickie making peanut butter sandwiches with robin. buckingham canon(and maybe even buckinghamler/chronance…)

“Hot,” he says, because apparently all he can do is repeat what Steve’s saying. He still isn’t one hundred percent sure he’s not dreaming right now—maybe he fell off the stage and hit his head and is laying concussed on the floor right now, dreaming this all up or something.

I really need your help,” Eddie says. Steve opens and closes his mouth a few times like he can't seem to find the words.

Steve sits there next to him and plays with his hair and steals sips of his beer because he’s not 21 yet and he doesn't act like there’s this big thing hanging between them—the depth of Eddie's feelings somehow not driving a wedge between them.

Steve can't really muster up a smile at the pity, so he says, “Well, whatever the case, he was my ride home, so I think I need to call a Lyft. Can you box the food up and bring me the check?” At least he’ll have lunch for tomorrow, which doesn't feel like an adequate consolation prize for how shitty he feels right now.

He turns his phone around and shows him a text exchange between him and someone named Dustin. The blue text from Dustin is a mile long, excitedly talking about his band. It’s weirdly endearing to see someone praising his band like this, probably because Dustin was just gushing to a friend about Eddie and his band—it's not something Eddie was ever really meant to see.

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

Likely a few because life has gotten stressful and I've hit quite the writing stall coming into December so! The Golden Afternoon is absolutely chasing me into the new year and is the biggest Job to tackle; Bear AU will continue to be ongoing; and I've only got a couple of parts left of Kas!Chrissy AU to finish but those will also probably happen in the new year!

19. What's one pairing you want to explore next year?

I am constantly wanting to do new things because I have restless writer syndrome or something, but I've been wanting to do Jargyle, Chronance, and Stonathan all three!
