Chrome may be one of Petunia's strongest Pokemon, but he is a very good gardener, too!

I think only one or two dex entries state this, but Aggron tend to their territory very well. It's a sweet lil fact if you ask me.

Alright. Hm... Well, now that Blue's name is public, and you can probably infer who Lily is, I may as well share the rest.

My Claydol is called Kao, short for Kaolinite, the most common type of clay, and the main component of ball clay (like... like baltoy).

My Aggron goes by Chrome, for Chromium, one of the strongest metals known to man.

My Armaldo is called Anomaly, mostly because I thought it sounded really cool, and because, at the time, having a revived fossil Pokemon was rare.

Lily, of course, is my Cradily. I was tired that day, and I intended to pick a better nickname in the morning. This one stuck.

Blue's nickname, Deep Blue in full, comes from a famous chess computer! They've always been interested in chess, so I used that. The fact that they're actually blue in colour is an added bonus.

My Carbink and Aerodactyl that I use occasionally are nicknamed Princess (after the diamond cut) and Amber (for obvious reasons), respectively.

Rehab Stealing

It started with Iron Heights. When you break the law anything short of first degree murder, in most prisons you get assigned a rehabilitation partner. In Iron Heights this wasn’t necessarily true. They had a different (half assed and lazy) way of doing things, regardless of the reason you were put in there you had a chance to get a partner. Key word being chance, as it was entirely up to the Pokemon wondering the prison themselves.

Inmates weren’t allowed their own Pokemon should they be sentenced while carrying them on their person, as the risk of an escape was higher with Pokemon an inmate had trained themselves. Therefore, there was a storage system in place for every Pokemon owned by a prisoner that would be released back into their care once their sentence was up. If the prisoner was a lifer...they had periodic chances to donate their Pokemon to shelters and reserves or relatives. But denying a fact of life, even to people who’d broken the law, was seen as inhumane. So rehabilitation Pokemon were trained and assigned to prisons, to ease transfer and hopefully turn inmates back on track of a law-abiding citizen.

Len had been there for two months on a three year sentence before he tried to get any of the Pokemon in Iron Heights to warm up to him. Prisoners who didn’t have Pokemon tended to follow the ones who did, and the ones who did have a partner tended to rule the yard. He’d always fared better with Pokemon than people but...his sister liked to call him picky. He prefered the term ‘standards’. Weak Pokemon, Pokemon sought out for solely aesthetical reasons held no interest. He liked potential, so he also preferred Pokemon with the ability to evolve, with a few minor exceptions. It was just his luck that the Pokemon he finally settled on trying to like him seemed to already be claimed.

Mick was on year five of an eight year sentence, arsonist and didn’t seem all that repentant about it. Len hated him. Mick didn’t seem to like him much either. But the Aron who lived in Iron Heights eventually chose them both and they found themselves spending a lot of time together. Officially, the Aron’s name was Cuddles as a result of some survey at some children’s school to name recent additions. The one thing both Len and Mick agreed on was that there was no way they would refer to the Aron as “Cuddles”.

“What do you think of...Chrome Dome?” Mick pondered one afternoon. Len gave him a look and decided not to dignify that name with words. Mick gave a huff but didn’t argue it further. Their attention returned to the Aron lazing about in the sunlight, perfectly content to doze between them both. As a rehab partner, the Aron wasn’t great. It didn’t seem to try to correct any of their behaviors, and in fact loved listening to their stories of their crimes. Len’s especially, which had given him a wonderful idea.

“His name is Steal.”

Mick stared at him in silence for a solid three minutes. “Are you shitting me?”

The arsonist’s protest was overruled when Steal gave a delighted “Ron!” Len couldn’t contain the smug and satisfied look from his face. Mick growled at them both, but with a heavy sigh caved in. From that point on they both referred to the Aron as Steal, and the duo spread the news around the yard.

A year into Len’s sentence, Steal helped he and Mick escape Iron Heights. In the process of fleeing, the small Aron grew twice his size and triple his weight by evolving into Lairon. Len assumed Mick had caught their partner as they’d reclaimed their old Pokemon and pokeballs from the storage area. Mick thought Len had done that, as he was too busy having a reunion with his beloved Emboar after five years of being apart.

Over the years, neither commented on the fact that Steal never went into a pokeball, as some Pokemon flat out refused to do so even after capture. Neither criminal had more than five Pokemon at any one time, and never tried to catch a sixth. They both assumed Steal was that sixth.

He fought for them both, listened to them both, and when Len and Mick argued he tended to ignore them both. When Mick and Len split up after a job went south in the worst way, Steal looked between the two going in opposite directions and chose Lisa. When Len returned and mended the burnt bridge between he and Mick, Steal was so happy he evolved into an Aggron. Both thanked Lisa for looking after Steal while they’d been gone, and that was when Lisa began to wonder just who Steal belonged to.

Steal didn’t wonder. Steal knew all three of them were his partners.

Steal the male Aggron; chooses both Mick Rory and Len Snart. Quiet and often dozes off, he knows Brick Break, Flamethrower, Ice-Beam, and Flash Cannon with the Sturdy ability.
