Had a chance to take video with my brand new camcorder at the The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Presents: 7th Annual A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS with Musical Direction by J. Donald Dumpson | Honoring Dr. Norman Hutchins. What I found out is this camera is NOT meant for music. Luckily, I bought it for red carpet interviews and press conferences.The mic picked up speeches just fine, but beautiful voices and melodic instruments get real pitchy, too much feedback. The marketing director at the Kimmel did ask me if I wanted to plug into a mixer, but I said that shouldn't be necessary, because I didn't know how to do that 😆 Wasn't sure I even had the right plugs and cords to do something like that. Blogging keeps life interesting!
