‘𝙏𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣... ... to be jolly falalalalalalalala!!! Following on from my reel the other day - here are a few more tips on surviving the festive season; 💧Stay Hydrated … whilst Buck’s Fizz for breakfast, Mulled Wine before lunch and a bottle of Baileys in front of the TV might sound like a good idea, it will actually leave you rather dehydrated • Instead try alternating your drinks and aiming to hit your regular water intake to help your body stay on top form! 🦃 Realistically you are not going to gain any weight from one (or even two) overeating at Christmas • In fact, you would need to consume an extra 3500 calories to gain 1lb of fat! However, that doesn't mean you should keep eating until you feel uncomfortable. Try to balance your plate using the rule of thirds if you're not cooking - aiming for ⅓ veggies, ⅓ starchy carbs and ⅓ proteins / dairy / unsaturated fats! 🛌 A girls best friend his her beauty sleep! Not only does a lack of sleep make us moody AF - it also impairs our cognitive function • Try and maintain your regular sleep pattern as much as you can and treat yourself to a lie in if you have few late nights! #intuitiveeating #christmasdiet #christmasdieting #christmasrules #christmasfood #hownottogainfat #sustainableweightloss #feativetips #christmasdiettips #healthyhappychristmas #survivingchristmas #christmasguide #weightlossadvice #healthweightloss #fitnessadvice #dietculture #personaltrainerlife #glowgrowcreate #myselflovestyle #fitcommunity #fitnesslifestyle #readysweatglow #healthyfood #healthyfoodies #healthydiet #healthyfoodvideos #eatforhealth #healthygut #healthyeatinghabits #healthyfoodtips (at Whoville) https://www.instagram.com/p/CX0QRlSNuXl/?utm_medium=tumblr

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙖 𝙬𝙧𝙖𝙥! Even without everything else that is going on at the moment, if you are someone that is fully committed to their training or are just getting started your journey, you may be feeling a little worried about undoing all of your progress. Don't. For many of us, Christmas is the only time of year we can really sit back and relax other than when we are on holiday. And if you were on holiday, you wouldn't feel guilty about putting your feet up by the pool and enjoying a Mojito would you? Exactly! But one piece of advice I’ve given my clients this week is to focus on the controllable’s and forget about everything else for the next few days. Think of yourself as a set of scales - on one side you have all of your healthy habits and on the other you have Christmas… is it missing 1, 2, 3 workouts that will make you feel off balance? Is it lack of sleep? Unusually rich foods? Alcohol? If it’s the missed workouts - steps and walks will be your best ally … aim for a little gentle walk each day (even just 10-minutes) to help you get some fresh air and get moving. Know that a lack of sleep makes your mood swing faster than Tarzan? Plan ahead, work backwards from your wake up time and try and be in bed 8-hours before. Focus on the controllable’s!!! Don’t forget you have until 12pm today to enter my giveaway - just scroll back and follow the instructions to win BIG today!!!
