The remains of the famous Christchurch Cathedral severely damaged by the massive earthquake which caused widespread destruction and the loss of 185 lives. Measuring 6.3 on the Ritcher scale at a depth of 5km, the Christchurch Earthquake 2011 was NZ's second deadliest natural disaster of which the will take years to recover. My thoughts, my prayers and my heart is back home in Christchurch on this day of remembrance! If you didn't know it is the anniversary of the devastating quake that ripped through the heart of my city and brought it to its knees!! Well a year on, I am not there, and we still all grieve and reflect on that day and the months following as if it was only moments ago!! Remember those who fell, and cherish the good memories you have!! Remind yourself that you are one of the lucky ones, and that you make a difference in this world!! Kia Kaha Always Christchurch - We are and we will rise back up, bigger and better than ever before and with valuable lessons in our back pocket that will help us to survive!! For the moment of silence, I made everything I could quiet. Paused my music, turned off the TV, stopped typing up RP replies, everything. I spent the 5 minutes praying for everyone in Libya and Christchurch. I hope people did similar things.
