Twin Flames: Part One
Tumblr media
Summary: When firefighter Curtis Everett suspects that he's found his twin flame, he plans to slowly ease her into his lifestyle of dominance and submission. Until one night when it all goes up in smoke. Firefighter!Curtis Everett x OFC
Warnings: Angst, Mentions of Death, House Fires, Mention of Exes, Mentions of D/s Lifestyle, Mentions of Daddy Kink, Alcohol Consumption, Eventual Smut, Cursing, Minors DNI
A/N: Dedicated to @curls-and-eyeliner for helping me flesh this out. This installment is part of my ongoing Trio Series. There will be a second part to this, detailing Curtis and Ruby's actual first meeting the night of the play party. All mistakes are my own. Likes, comments, and reblogs are appreciated and encouraged.
___
As a firefighter, Curtis Everett has seen some terrible things in his line of work as a first responder. He's lost people on the job more than once. But the first time it happened…
The memory of that night still follows him. The things he witnessed, the smell of charred flesh. That’s the kind of shit that changes a person, it leaves behind a lasting mark.
The first person he ever lost while out on a call – it wrecked him. And in the aftermath Curtis was left to deal with it all on his own because Serena, his girlfriend of several years, was too busy partying to pick up the phone when he needed her. She had swiped his credit card so that she could show her friends a good time, which also included half the bar.
After all, it wasn’t like it was her money. And although they ended things soon after, that woman wasn’t prepared to go quietly. She felt that she’d put up with a lot from him, especially whenever she reluctantly allowed him to indulge in some of his darker fantasies.
In her mind, he owed her. And in time, she would collect.
But Curtis would eventually recover from that loss and move on, because that’s kind of one of the requirements of the job. After that horrible night, he vowed to do better. He became laser focused, determined to push himself to the limit. And it worked, at least for a while. But sometimes life is rather unpredictable.
Just like the flames.
The next time he lost someone on his watch, it threatened to take him his fucking knees. Because that day – that day the victim was a little girl. Iris Caldwell, who was barely five-years-old. Her weeping mother had kept repeating over and over again that she’d just had a birthday two days prior.
And they had plans to celebrate that weekend. But the flames…they’d gotten to her first. And her tiny lungs had been no match for the heat and the smoke.
Curtis had been the one to carry out her small, lifeless body - tears clouding his vision through the cover of his mask. He handed her off to an EMT and then stood motionless several yards away as chaos surged around him. His eyes were trained on the child, his frozen gaze never leaving her fallen form as the crew desperately tried to resuscitate her. However, when their efforts proved to be unsuccessful he placed the weight of that blame squarely upon his own shoulders.
He’d been the one who failed poor Iris. And then the endless loop of “what-ifs” began.
What if they’d arrived at the scene a few moments sooner? What if he’d been just a fraction of a second quicker as he was making his way into the house, trying to navigate a path through the blaze? What if he hadn’t struggled to break down the heavy oak door that had kept them from Iris, leaving her trapped to contend with the flames alone before she eventually succumbed to her injuries?
Later that night, someone showed him her picture, one of his teammates that had been with him on the call. In the photo, Iris had been wearing a sparkly pink crown, looking every inch the princess she was pretending to be. But it was her eyes that struck him – those big, beautiful eyes that reminded him so much of someone else he’d encountered not too long ago. A person that he’d met at one of the parties he liked to frequent as of late in his search to find the right woman.
The type of woman who enjoyed the same games he liked to play. The type of woman who could manage him, who could accept him for the man that he was and would always be. A woman who was not only capable of understanding his dominant nature, but of embracing it.
He’d met a woman who’s spirit called to his own – so much so that when she abruptly left, he chased her down. Curtis had felt compelled to know her, to gentle the young woman who’s inner fire seemed to burn so bright, he couldn’t bear to watch it be so clumsily extinguished by someone else. By a lesser man who wouldn’t understand, nor appreciate, the gift that would be her eventual submission.
Rubeena Maxwell. That had been her name. And what they’d shared the night at Club Domino after he’d chased her down had been amazing. But he hadn’t pursued her after that, wanting to court her right. To show her that he could be the man he knew she deserved. And in order to do that he had to be on top of his game.
As a man. As a Dominant. And as a Daddy.
But the night he and his team had lost that child, deep down he knew that he couldn’t go through this alone. Well, he could, but he didn’t want to – even as he tried to drink it all away.
That night he tried to bury himself so deep in the bottom of a bottle that it – along with everything else – would all fade away. Wanted to get so drunk off his ass that he wouldn’t have to feel a damn thing until after morning light. However, when that proves to be damn near impossible he leaves the bar in search of another form of solace.
He knew that he needed something more. He needed her.
Ruby.
They weren’t together, at least not yet. They’d only been out a few times, enough for her to realize that there was more to Curtis than he initially let on. There was pain, there was baggage, as well as the ghost of an ex-girlfriend who was still taking up so much space that it left virtually no room for a third person.
For Ruby to stake her claim on this man’s heart.
So she tried to put the brakes on things, effectively ending their relationship before it had truly ever begun. Because in truth, she had her own issues to contend with. And none of them involved a charming six-foot-something firefighter sporting a chiseled jaw and tempting blue eyes.
However, when he showed up on her doorstep two weeks after their very first meeting, looking every bit as lost as confused she felt, she had no choice but to let him in. Especially since the gorgeous first responder appeared to be so drunk he could barely stand, let alone talk.
The moment she opened her door, Curtis pulled her into his arms, whispering into her curls over and over again about how sorry he was – for everything. For not being enough. For not getting there in time. Followed by a litany of nonsensical rambles about Ruby’s eyes, and how there was so much life in them.
And how he never wanted to be the reason that it disappeared.
Curtis just wanted to tell her – someone, anyone, really – that he had tried that day. That he had resolved himself to do better. And then he broke, right there on her front porch as she wrapped her arms around his big body as his powerful shoulders shook with the force of his tortured sobs.
And whether she knew it or not, that was the night Rubeena Maxwell opened her heart to the beautifully damaged man who would become her lover, her partner, and the most dominant force in her life.
That was the night she and Curtis Everett became a team. And this right here is just the beginning of their story before they would eventually become part of The Trio.
Next part coming soon...

Chris & Ellie Series: Episode 28
Tumblr media
I promised y’all this episode was coming sometime soon and look, here it is! And it hasn’t even been a month since last update! (Progress! haha).
I’m doing a little test of sorts this time around because tumblr can be a brat about links in posts, even if they’re links to stuff on tumblr. 🙄 So this post won’t have any of the links and stuff it normally would. I don’t like it, but I want to give it a try and see what happens. We’ll see, I might go back to the old way with the next update (if I do, I’ll edit this post and add those links back in).
xoxo Becca xoxo
Pairing: Chris Evans x Ellie Spencer (OFC)
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: language
Episode Summary: Ellie's sisters meddle and Scott gets involved, too.
Disclaimer: This work of fiction is not to be reposted, used or translated without my permission.
This episode can also be read on AO3.

Episode 28: Mystery Date
December 28, 2014
Ellie sighed as she relaxed against the couch in the attic of her family's beach house with a glass of wine. Like every year, her family had moved their holiday celebrations to the Oregon coast for the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve to wind down the year.
The last few weeks had been insane in between work, traveling to Oregon and the lead up to and celebrating Christmas. She'd seen more friends and family that she could even begin to count.
Throughout it all, she and Chris had texted. It'd started with a few messages here and there with the occasional photos but had steadily picked up the closer it had gotten to Christmas day. Some exchanges were just to share a memory or a special moment, while others led to discussions. Like, have you ever seen a non-creepy looking nutcracker; Chris's answer had been no, while Ellie had insisted she had seen at least one.
The messages they'd exchanged had stayed specifically in the friends and 'getting to know each other' category, which she appreciated. Being away from work and having time to think things through further had made her realize that there were a lot of things that she and Chris needed to talk about if they were ever going to become something more than friends. It was a discussion that she wanted to have in person with him and not over the phone.
"We're out of wine," Izzy announced, pulling Ellie from her thoughts.
"I'll get another bottle," Ellie offered as she stood up. "I have to pee anyway."
Grabbing the empty bottle, she headed downstairs. She visited the bathroom and then grabbed another wine bottle from the kitchen before going back upstairs.
She was nearly at the top of the stairs when she heard footsteps. Reaching the top, she raised her eyebrows at her sisters who had obviously been sitting closer together but had scattered when they'd heard her coming.
"What's going on?" she asked them, suspiciously. Her eyes narrowed in on Riley who had her laptop open on the coffee table.
"We took a vote while you were gone," Riley stated.
"On what?" Ellie asked as she set the wine bottle down.
"It wasn't a vote, not really," Sydney explained, making Ellie shift her gaze. "It was more us agreeing that maybe you're not spending New Year's Eve in the right place."
"Where else would I be?" Ellie asked, honestly confused. "We do this every year."
"This year has been hard for you," Izzy stated. "And with the whole Chris situation looming, we thought it might be better for you to go to him and talk things out. Then you can start 2015 fresh."
"Oh," Ellie replied, sinking into her spot on the couch to consider the suggestion.
In the grand scheme of things, it made sense to talk things over with Chris while they were fresh in her mind. The perk of leaving the bad of 2014 behind was also a plus.
"I have it on good authority that he and Scott are both staying at their mom's house for New Year's Eve," Izzy said. "Just in case you were worried about them going to LA or anything."
"I hadn't had that thought yet," Ellie admitted. "But I'm glad you thought of it."
"We did some other research, too," Sydney said. "There's a nonstop flight from Portland to Boston tomorrow morning."
"And I'm going to Portland tomorrow to pick up Eric," Izzy added. "I hadn't planned on leaving that early, but the sooner we leave the less traffic there will be. So, it might be a good thing."
Ellie chewed on her lower lip as she considered everything. She'd always spent New Year's Eve with her family at the coast, being away from them would be a strange experience.
Riley cleared her throat, attracting Ellie's attention. "I don't have anything to add, really," Riley stated. "But I might know how to help you make a decision."
"How?" her older sisters chorused, confused.
"You'll see," Riley replied in a sing-song voice as she got up and went to the game closet. She dug around for a second before she found what she was looking for. Instead of revealing it right away, she hid it from her sisters as she walked back.
"Mom made me go through our old games when we were here in August," she explained. "And I found something…"
She set the box on the table.
"Mystery Date?" Ellie asked, confused. "How is that supposed to help me make a decision?"
"Look closer at the guys," Riley said, smugly.
Her tone made Sydney and Izzy lean in, too, and it was only a second before her sisters gasped in unison.
"Is that?" Sydney asked, in disbelief.
"It can't be!" Izzy argued.
"But it looks just like him," Ellie said as she stared down at the box that featured a blue-tinted photo of a guy who looked just like Chris.
"It's Chris!" Riley confirmed, excitedly. "I asked Scott about it when I found it. It's really him!"
"Holy shit," Ellie said with a laugh. Grabbing her phone, she took a picture of the box and then sent it to Chris. Only remembering as she sent it that it was already after midnight on the east coast.
"How is this supposed to help Ellie decide?" Sydney asked Riley. "It's a multiplayer game from what I can remember."
"It is, but there's also a single player mode," Riley explained with a grin. "She can play and if she gets surfer boy Tyler, aka Chris, that's fate telling her to go to him."
As Riley started to explain how to play the single player mode, Ellie's phone vibrated.
Oh fuck, Chris's response read. Where the hell did you find that?
Our beach house. I think Sydney got it for a birthday present in like 2000, Ellie replied.
So you're saying I've been a part of your life for a long time then, Chris sent with a winking emoji.
Apparently and unbeknownst to me the whole time. Seems kind of sketchy if you ask me… she teased.
"So, what do you say? Want to play?" Riley asked.
Ellie looked up from her phone to see her youngest sister looking at her and then glanced back down at the gif Chris had sent of someone with shifty eyes. She made her decision right then and there.
"I'm going to Sudbury," she told her sisters. Then seeing Riley's face fall, added, "But we can play a quick round for old time sakes. All of us."
-------
The ringing of his phone woke Scott up the next morning.
"Hello?" he answered groggily.
"Did you just wake up?" Izzy asked, sounding way too chipper.
"I was up late," Scott replied, glancing at the clock on the bedside table and seeing that it was noon.
"Well get up, sunshine," Izzy told him. "I just dropped Ellie off at the airport and she is on her way to you. She sent you her flight information last night and I'm calling to make sure you got it."
"Wait, wait," Scott said, sitting up in bed. "Ellie is coming here? Now?!"
"Yes, and hush, Chris doesn't know," Izzy told him. "She wants to surprise him and I'm hoping you can make that work."
"I'll do my best," Scott assured her. "I'll text you and let you know if I got her email."
"Thanks, Scott," Izzy replied before hanging up.
After checking his email and confirming with Izzy that he had received Ellie's flight information, Scott got ready for the day slowly, giving himself time to let his excitement settle before he left his room. He knew that it would be suspicious if he was too happy after drinking with friends the night before.
Once he was composed, he went in search of his mom. If he was going to pull this off, he was going to need assistance and his mom was the perfect accomplice.
There were too many people around when he found his mom, so he had to wait for the perfect opportunity, all the while pretending everything was normal. Eventually, he was able to pull her aside and fill her in on Ellie’s impending arrival.
His mom was thrilled with the news, and they started brainstorming how to get Scott out of the house without everyone asking where he was going. Especially since they’d planned on tonight being a family movie and pizza night.
Ultimately, they decided to stick with the facts. Scott had gotten a phone call from a friend asking if he could pick them up at the airport.
To make things a little easier, a half hour before it was time for Scott to leave, Lisa suggested that Chris take his nephews to the park nearby to work off some of their energy while their sister napped.
With less people in the house, Scott easily made his escape and headed to the airport. He knew that his absence would be quickly noticed, but his mom would handle it.
Once he got to the airport, Scott parked and waited for Ellie to text him that she was ready to be picked up. Her first text was that her plane had landed, but it took seemingly forever for her to text and say that she had her luggage.
As soon as he reached where she was waiting for him, Scott broke the posted rules by getting out of the car. He couldn’t help but give her a huge hug before one of the airport staff members started their way to get them moving.
Laughing, he threw Ellie’s suitcase into the back of his mom’s car before he got into the driver’s seat, Ellie in the passenger seat.
“Welcome to Boston,” he said jokingly as another driver flipped him off as they entered the queue to exit the airport.
“Considering I left the coast at five am this morning, it’s good to know that my day of travel is almost done,” Ellie said, stifling a yawn.
They made small talk during the rest of the drive. When they got to the house, Scott had Ellie leave her suitcase for now, promising to get it for her once the surprise had happened.
With a finger to his lips, Scott led Ellie into the house and towards the family room where he knew his family was watching a movie.
“Sorry I’m late,” he said to the room, drawing their attention from the TV to him. “I had to pick up a friend.”
Stepping aside, he revealed Ellie standing behind him.
“Surprise!” She said in a nervously cheerful sort of way as her eyes met Chris's.

Home sweet Home - Chapter 2
Pairing: Chris Evans x OFC
Summary: Emily Wines and Chris Evans have been friends since they were kids. When Emily needs a break from her life she moves in with Chris back in Boston. It sounds easy, but things never go as planned, right?
Warnings: swearing, violence, past trigger memories, eventual, possible smut.
A/N: This story has been on my mind for a while, and I have started writing it on AO3. So yes, I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I will writing it. There will be angst, fluff, an attempt of humour and maybe… maybe a bit of smut. Enjoy :)

MASTER LIST
Tumblr media
Standing in the middle of the Airport made all of the memories about home, come back. The first time she travelled here with her mom, the first time she saw her house, her own room, the neighbourhood, and the first time she met the Evans' family. The times she has made life-long friendships between those weird-ass kids, that have welcomed her to their theatric group, and made her sing to some Disney songs.
She missed this town. When she moved to DC for her studies and then went to Paris for an exchange programme, Boston was something far away, something forgotten, even though it was still hidden in the deepest places of her heart. She was enjoying her Uni life, her new starting career and awful relationships with guys that well... Let's just say weren't good enough for her. But she did have a life. An amazing life if she looked back. At the age of 27, she opened her first restaurant in DC, a year later it got her first Michelin Star. At the age of 30, she had a restaurant in DC, New York and planning to open in Madrid. She was successful, her bank account was full enough to make her quit now and live a normal life for what she had now, but she wasn't happy. There was something missing. Every night she was going to sleep with a cold side of the bed. Even if she dated, no guy was there when he really needed it, and whatever they both called it, was over before it really happened. She was a 35 years old woman, with no good romantic history.
But she was happy now. She hasn't felt so happy and excited about anything since her first own restaurant opened. After the Madrid place got another Michelin star, she decided to step away and move back home. She was still travelling places and was checking out on it, but she was not cooking anymore, she was not a part of the working bees in the kitchen. She was a manager, the CEO. And she felt that it was just enough for her. She came back here wanting to open a small coffee-book place and just enjoy small-town life.
"Hey, shorty!" She turned around hearing a so familiar voice behind her. With no cares in the world, she threw her handy bag on the floor and hugged the man in front of her. He was so tall and big. Something she didn't notice through FaceTime. Of course, she watched his movies, but damn seeing him now was a completely different aspect. She smiled and snuggled into his chest like she did whenever she had a bad day when they were still kids. He smelled so good, so familiar. So much like home. "Come on, let's get you home before people start to stare too much." She could sense the joking tone in his voice, however, she did understand that there was some seriousness into it. He was Chris Evans after all, the Captain America. Oh, how many times has he complained to her about the lack of privacy, so it was only natural for him to be wary of his surroundings.
He took her small bag, encircled his fingers with her, and head out for the exit. She looked down at their hands, and couldn't think about anything else except that fact that his hands were huge, but nicely and surprisingly soft. They haven't seen each other face to face since they said goodbye to each other for his College. And well, he has changed so much. Not only the fact that he became taller, bigger, but the beard on his face did give him more charm than the camera would show. She smiled sadly, realising something. He has become a man. A very handsome and attractive man.
She stopped in front of the car and whistle. There it was, the beauty that she has only seen through the FaceTime camera, and on the internet. An old enough to be changed but loved by both Chris and her, Lexus ES 350. It's classy and beautiful but should not bring too much attention, which was probably the reason why he has chosen to come here with.
"Ma' told me to get you there for dinner", She chuckled seeing his apologetic look on his face, when they started to drive to his home. "Sorry, tried to argue with her that you need some time to relax, but..."
"Oh, please, no! I'd love to come." She answered, assuringly putting her hand on his hand which was sat on the gear. "Can we just go to your house first? I want to take a shower and change." He nodded and looked at the road. She stared back over the window, remembering every street and corner she’s been in when they were kids. She missed this place so much.
"I have got info from the company, that your stuff will be here tomorrow." She nodded and smiled to herself, sinking into the sit. She did not even know how tired she really was until she sat in this too comfy for her liking car. "You look tired. You sure, you wanna join us for dinner?"
"Come on, Evans, I'm starting to think you don't want me there" She winked at him and smiled hearing him laugh out loud.
"Well, I said yes for you to move in with me, so too late for that now." She giggled and bit her lip. "A penny for your thoughts?" She raised her brows not sure what he meant. "You always bit your lip when there was something on your mind." She shook her head, not believing how well he knew her.
"I'll be out of your hair as soon as I..." But she stopped, feeling his hand moving from the gear up to her thigh, squeezing it a bit.
"We've talked about it, Shorty", she rolled her eyes, hearing his nickname. "You can stay with me for as long as you wish. I'm happy to have you back here." Her cheeks blushed, and she turned away for him not to see. He smirked and took his hand away from her leg.
**
"Shanna and Carly are going to kill you for those, you know?" He laughed seeing all the gifts she has bought for the kids. He was still surprised to find how she was able to pack them all into this bag.
"Oh come on, cause you never buy them anything", she pouted, which made him laugh even more. "The last time I saw them was before Christmas a year ago." He calmed down and sent her a soft smile. He was happy inside to see how close she got with his family.
"What's that?" He asked taking a small tea set. She smiled and put it away from him.
"I promised my mom to visit her tomorrow", he frowned but then smiled and nodded his head. Her mom was laying in the hospital for the last half a year. He visited her a couple of times. She did not look too good, but she was hanging. He always wondered how Emily was taking all that. When she found out about her mother in a hospital, she flew all the way from Madrid for a couple of days. From what he knew, she was paying for every treatment, not being able to be there for her. That was probably also the reason why she came back. All this work and travelling caused her to not be able to be close to her mother, which may have probably broken her heart, with every day.
"Can I come?" She widened her eyes at his request. "I saw her a week ago, so if you're going there anyway, I thought I can tag along?" She opened her mouth to say something, but she only hugged him. He smiled and hugged her back, kissing the top of her head.
"Thank you, Chris." He shook his head when she pulled away.
"No need to thank me, Em. We are like a family." She nodded and straightened up. "Ok, ready for the Evans' family?" She giggled and followed him. They didn't drive, decided to take a walk, in case any of them would like to have a beer or wine for dinner.
"I missed this place", she whispered, as to herself, and he nodded, as he would understand her feeling. "Home is home, after all, right?" She looked up into his blue eyes and smiled sweetly. Without a word, he encircled his fingers with hers, just like at the airport. "I can take the bag", he frowned at her statement. "I can see you're struggling". She put all the gifts for the kids in the bag.
"Again... My ma' would whoop my ass if she saw I let you toss that around." She laughed out loud at this gentleman's way. "Plus it's not heavy. You just coaxed them in such a shitty way", He snickered when she shoved him gently on the arm. "Good to know not everything changed." She raised her brows, waiting for him to continue. "Come on, you really want me to say that?"
"Say what?" she chuckled, looking confused as hell.
"So many things changed since I have seen you last, all those years ago. You have your own restaurants, you're not an annoying brat anymore", another smack on his bicep. "And fuck Emy... You are really hot, you know", she blushed, and looked away, feeling even more blushed, when he started to laugh at her reaction.
"Well, you don't look bad yourself." He licked his lips and smiled. "But you're still a dickhead!" He grabbed his chest at the side of the heart, pretending to be hurt. He winked at her and knocked at the doors to his mom's house.
"Emily, sweetheart!" Lisa pulled the girl for the bear hug. "I have missed you so much."
"Hello mother, good to see you too!" Chris chimed in, making Em giggle under her breath, of his 'mommy's boy' jealousy.
"Oh, shush you. I saw you yesterday." Lisa laughed and pushed them both to the living room, where everyone was waiting. "Go with Chris I will bring something to drink. Beer for Chris, how about you, sweety?"
"I'll have the beer as well, please." She answered, smiling at the woman. She was about to say something more, when she heard the kids, screaming happily seeing Chris.
"I've got a surprise for ya!" He laughed, taking Milo into his arms.
"Aunt Emily!"
**
"So Madrid, New York, DC... damn girl that's some good locations!" she laughed at Scott's statement. "I remember I wanted to eat in NY and there was no place."
"Oh gosh, you should have told me. I would call and make it available!" She huffed, surprised to hear that for the first time. It was getting close to 11. Kids were already asleep, so only the adults left. With some beers already gone, the atmosphere was even more relaxed. She was leaning on Chris' arm, with his head laying on hers.
"See she doesn't even cook in her own restaurants anymore... she's become miss important" Scott continued making everyone laugh, including Chris, who was trying not to fall asleep. She smiled seeing it and got up, making him frown.
"I'm sorry guys, but I'd really need some rest." They all nodded and stood up hugging her and Chris. Both of them got some extras from dinner into the bag and left the house, after promises that they will see both of them soon.
"Thanks." He whispered, walking with her arm by arm. She looked at him and just now realised how tired he looked. "And sorry. You wanted to stay, right?"
"I'm actually tired as well, so no need to apologise." She reassured him, holding his hand, just as he did before. He looked down and clenched his fingers a bit. After a while, they were already at home. As much as Chris was tired, he didn't want to go to sleep. He missed her too much to just end the day like that. He didn't unwind their hands, which made her look back at him. "I've got 'inside out' which I still haven't watched, wanna join me?"
"I thought you were tired?" She chuckled, going to sit on the couch when he went to the kitchen to grab some more beers and popcorn.
"Fresh air gave me some extra energy" he lied, shrugging his shoulders. She frowned and smiled, but nodded. She tilted her head, when he sat next to her, pulling her to him into a side hug. "I missed that", he said into the top of her head, inhaling her smell. "What's that? Coconut?" She giggled and nodded her head which made him hum in approval. "I missed you." She hugged him a bit tighter, enjoying the warmth of his body, feeling so safe.
"You haven't put the movie on..." She finally stated, when the TV was still pitch black. "Let me..."
"Let's just stay like that... I think I really am tired", he whispered, enjoying this little friendly time between the two of them. She smiled and kissed him on the chest through the shirt. Something that may look romantic, was a normal thing for them, something they did millions of time when they were kids and teenagers. Just being there and enjoying their presence.

Drabble: Chris & Ellie - June 2018
Tumblr media
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic day (and if you don’t celebrate, I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!)
This drabble is a short and sweet one too, but I think it’s perfect for Christmas day.
If you missed a day, check out the masterlist.
Title: Chris & Ellie: 2018 in Review - June
Pairing: Chris Evans x OFC (Ellie Spencer-Evans)
Rating: PG
Warnings: n/a
Disclaimer: This work of fiction is not to be reposted, used or translated without my permission.
Tumblr media
Chris and Ellie sat side by side on the couch waiting for the rest of the family to gather for their special announcement.
“I’m sure you’re all wondering why we’ve gathered you all for a video chat and on Father’s day,” Chris said, moving his gaze from the computer in front of him, that showed Ellie’s family, and then his family members that were sitting in the living room.
In all honesty, he was certain they all had a pretty good idea as to why he insisted they all be present for his and Ellie’s announcement, but he didn’t mind being a brat about it.
“Chris! Stop torturing them and tell them,” Ellie said, nudging him with her elbow. “Or I will!”
“It’s Father’s Day,” he reminded her. “We agreed I could be the one to tell them that we’re having a baby.”
It took a moment, as everyone processed his words, and then it was pandemonium. There were shouts of “I knew it!” and tears of joy. His mom wrapped them both in hugs and then someone handed Ellie her phone to talk to her mom.
Only once things had quieted down, did they answer the many questions that flew at them. How long have they known (a couple days); when was their due date (didn’t know yet); and what did they want to baby to be (healthy).

What are the trio doing for Super Bowl Sunday?
Tumblr media
Trying to get their brats to behave themselves long enough to watch the game. It's been a while since they've all gotten together. Ruby's been sick, Story was temporarily grounded, and you've been busy with work. At least, that's what the men think.
In all reality, you and your girls have been planning your next round of shenanigans, which may or may not involve a road trip. You ladies are going to have to be on your best behaviors so as to avoid arousing suspicion.
Well, not too well behaved. Because that might be an actual cause for concern.
Which is why you're currently sitting outside the girls, enjoying this bout of unseasonably warm weather coming up with ways to throw Andy, Ari, and Curtis off your trail. The way you see it, your best bet is to cause a reasonable amount of chaos at one of the Daddy's upcoming birthday dinners.
Yep. Sounds good.
Brat mode engaged.
